Rose woke up to an empty bed and the sun shining through the window by the door. She groaned softly, her body slightly sore from the motel bed. When she turned her attention to the bathroom, she noticed the door was closed. As she sat there quietly, then realized the shower was running. And of course, she had to use the toilet. She sat up, hoping it would help a little. A few minutes went by and she started bouncing up and down. The shower shut off but he still wasn't out. She tried to distract herself but nothing was helping. Rose stepped over to the door and gently knocked, waiting for him to respond. Instead of saying something, he opened the door. Steam poured out, his body naked except for the small customary towel wrapped around him waist. A few droplets rolled over the muscles of his arms and chest.
"I have to go to the bathroom!"
She squeezed past him, slamming and locking the door shut the moment he took a step out. Once relieved, she started to wash her hands. That's when she noticed black stuff all over the counter. She looked around, trying to figure out what it was. In the trash, she saw an empty box of hair dye. She hadn't even noticed his hard was darker. Much darker. When she finally opened the door, Jace was sitting on the bed with an unlit cigarette in his mouth. His appearance taking on more of an edge with his jet-black hair.
"I ought to spank you for behaving so rudely." He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth for a moment. "But, lucky for you, we're leaving soon."
For whatever reason, his threat to spank her caused her to clench her thighs together. She felt a slight pulse, her panties wetting a tiny bit. She mentally cursed herself, this man should repulse her not turn her on. Jace didn't seem to notice her sexual frustration and placed the cigarette back in his mouth. He stood up and walked over to the door.
"Take a quick shower. I’ll be back in a few minutes, don't think of running. I'll catch you before you even take a step out."
Rose hadn’t even thought about showering, but it sounded pretty good. She waited until he was out of the room to go back into the bathroom and strip out of her clothes. Unfortunately, he hadn’t take off her collar. She showered as fast as she could, afraid that he would come back and be upset that she wasn’t finished. She managed to clean under the collar the best she could, then stepped out to dry off. Her hair continued to drip water as she redressed in her dirty clothes. She tried once more to get as much water out of her hair as possible, then opened the door. Jace was leaning against the door with his arms across his chest. The room so small that she could smell the stench of the cigarette he had smoked from where she stood. Her nose scrunching as it grew stronger the closer she got to him.
"Come on."
He reached for the chain and pulled her next to him. Before she knew it, they were all back in the truck and on the road again. They continued the same routine for about three more days. Finally, they came to a reasonably sized town. Jace had ordered Raiden to find a temporary place for them to stay. Morgan and Axel were sent to check out the town, they would look less suspicious since they were a couple. He wanted them to scope out the shops, figure out what places looked like the highest amount of money and see what their police stations were like. Jace and Rose sat in the truck, parked in a lot by a biking trail. He had rolled down all the windows and shut the truck off while they waited. Every time he lit up a smoke, Rose crinkled her nose.
"Do you really have to smoke those in here?"
He looked at her through the rearview mirror, his eyes narrowing.
"Yea."
"Why?" She was slightly annoyed by his inconsideration.
"Because I fucking can."
"It smells." She scowled.
"I don't care."
"I do!"
"You're not in control, now are you?"
He turned around to face her, blowing his smoke right at her. She began to cough and fan her had to disperse the smoke.
"Re-Really?" She held a hand over her mouth and nose.
"Don't piss me off." He snapped, crushing his cigarette and tossing it out the window. "You're a pet, not a girlfriend."
"I didn't ask for you to drag me along!"
"Actually, you did. I gave you a choice, remember?"
"Death isn't really an option."
"As I recall the morning I first saw you, you said if I let you go you wouldn't tell the cops." He let out a short, humorless laugh. "Not even 24 hours later the police had a rough sketch of all three of us."
Rose's confidence in her outburst began to waiver. She looked away from him, unable to maintain contact with his cold, ruthless eyes.
"I staked your house out, watched as you placed knives in every room. Saw every time you woke up with a nightmare. From me." He smirked, his hand cupped her chin and forcing her to look at him. "I was supposed to kill you. But instead I gave you a choice."
"Yo-You should have killed me." Rose blinked back tears that were trying to be set free.
"That's not what you choose. Besides, wouldn't want to waste a nice piece of ass like you."
"I don't even understand what a guy like you even sees in me."
"Sometimes-" he rubbed his thumb across her bottom lip. "-the bad boy just wants a good girl."
Just as he let go of her, Raiden came running up to the truck. He yanked open the door to the back seat with a smile on his face.
"Found a place! An actual house this time. Payed the old man in cash, no questions asked. It's about a five-minute drive from here."
The red head hopped into the seat next to Rose and shut the door behind him. Once he was adjusted, he tossed a key to Jace.
"Three bed rooms, two floors, and a basement. Decent back yard. Far enough from town."
The way he spoke showed how proud he was of himself. Jace didn't say anything to him, he had turned back around in his seat and picked up is phone from the cup holder.
"I already let the other two know, they're headed back now."
"Good. I don't want to wait here any longer." Jace set his phone back down and started up the truck.
About fifteen minutes later, Morgan and Axel walked up to the truck. They each got back into their seats and Jace took off in the direction Raiden said.
Oddly, everyone was silent. Rose thought they would all be talking about the next place they were going to rob or something. When they pulled up to a dirty looking two-story, she was surprised Raiden was able to purchase it within a few minutes. They must have robbed a lot of banks before making it to her town. Or maybe that man who owned it was desperate to get rid of it because it didn’t look like it had been kept up with. They all got out of the truck, Raiden being the first one in, then Morgan and Axel. Rose dragged her feet, trying to soak up as much sun as possible. She wasn't sure how much Jace would allow her to be outside. Inside, the house was nice but needed to be cleaned. She looked around, not really paying attention to the others. She turned around a corner and walked right into Raiden, who wrapped his arms around her.
"Hey there, love. I did good, didn't I?" He smiled down at her.
Rose's face burned bright red as she looked into the man's unique pale green eyes. She parted her lips to speak but her words refused to come out. His arms were crossed loosely behind her yet pressed her entire body was pressed against his chest, his hands resting on her hips. Alarm bells started going off in her head, screaming at her, but for the moment she wasn't sure why.
"What the fuck?!" A voice boomed behind her.
Ah, that's why. Jace.

"Get your hands off her." His voice deadly.
"She's just a pet. Why do you care so much?" Morgan butted in, her glare pointed at Rose.
"Because she's fucking mine." Jace snapped at her.
Raiden gave Rose a quick squeeze, then released her. He held his arms up and stepped back from her. A smile spread across his lips.
"She ran in to me. I couldn't help it, she's cute."
Jace grabbed Rose's wrist, yanking her to next to
him. His grip hard, making her whimper and struggle against him. He peered down to her, anger blazing in his gray eyes. He let go of her wrist only to grab her chain and drag her behind him. He stomped up the stairs, disregarding her pleas for him to slow down.
"Jace-!"
He froze for a second, spun around and grabbed her shoulders roughly. She tried to speak but he slammed her into the wall, her back of her head smacking against it.
"It really seems like you want a punishment." His voice was low and dangerous.
"No! I-I don't!"
"Why were you in his arms?" His hands squeezed harder.
"I didn't mean to-" She panicked. "I bumped into him on accident." Her head was down, her hair covering part of her face.
Jace grabbed her jaw, turned her head to the side and brushed her hair from her neck. His other hand quickly unlatched the collar and let it clatter to the floor. She felt a spark the second his lips touched her skin.
"You're mine." He grumbled, his voice losing a tiny amount of its anger.
He gently started sucking on her neck, his tongue rolling across her skin before moving to another area. Rose could feel his teeth scrap against her every now and then. Her breath caught in her throat, her head swimming.
"Jace-"
He sunk his teeth into her, the hand on her jaw moving up to block the scream that came from her mouth. Her hands reached up to claw at his chest, but it didn't seem to faze him. He bit her two more times in different spots before letting her go. His hand still covered her mouth, one of her hands reached for it and trying to pry it off. Again, all her attempts were useless, she was no match for him.
"I don't like when others touch what's mine, Rose." He spoke into her ear, her body pausing as he started speaking. "Watch yourself."
He let her go and bent down for the collar. Instead of putting it on her, he led her to one of the bedrooms. The entire house had been lightly furnished, each room had a queen-sized bed and a dresser but not much else. Rose stepped away from Jace and walked over to the large window looking out to the rear of the house. Once again, they were surrounded by trees. She momentarily wondered how far into the forest she'd have to go to lose anyone chasing after her.
"I'll be back. Stay here."
Rose turned her head to look at Jace, his back to her as he walked out the door. She debated leaving the room despite what he said. She wanted to know every spot in this house so that she could plan an escape. She made sure a few minutes had passed before opening the door a crack and peeking out. She stood still, listening to what was going on. Footsteps could be heard leading out of the house and shortly after that was the front door being slammed.
Rose took that as her chance to explore the second floor. She easily found the other two bedrooms and a full bathroom. At the end of the hall was a small, empty closet and above it was an entrance for the attic. She stretched her arm up to see if she could reach the drawstring. It was a few inches out of her reach. Even on her tippy-toes she wasn't able to reach it. With a sigh, she turned back around. Not knowing when Jace or the others would be back, she headed toward the room.
Halfway down the hall, she heard the front door open and footsteps flooding in. She cursed her body for stopping, she needed to hurry. A few feet from the room, she heard voices and someone coming up the stairs. Her heart pounded in her chest. She grasped the doors handle and tore it open, making she to silently close it. She was barely in when the door reopened, making her quickly spin around. Jace eyed her suspiciously. She was standing in the middle of the room, slightly out of breath and her eyes looking anywhere but at him.
"Why do you look like a puppy who got into something she's not supposed to?"
"I-I don't know."
Jace stared at her longer than she liked, completely looking her over and making her question whether he knew she had left the room. He had bags on his back, over his shoulder, and in his hands. He dropped everything in a corner and stalked over to her.
"Why don't I believe you?" His eyes never leaving her.
"I don't know." Her voice soft, her heart pounding.
"Do you know anything?" He snapped, his hand pulling her chin up to look at him.
"I-"
"Don't say 'I don't know.'"
His eyes fell to her neck, a smirk forming on his face. He let his tongue run over his lip before speaking again.
"Your neck looks real nice."
"Wha-?" Her hand shot up to the side of her neck that he had been kissing and biting.
She couldn't feel anything with her fingers but the area did feel sore. She hadn't even thought about her neck until he pointed it out.
"What did you do?"
"I marked what's mine." He laughed, his lips softly pressing against hers.
Rose's eyes widened, caught off guard by his action. She could feel the cool metal of his lip ring against her skin. His hand slipped from her chin, moving to the back on her neck and holding her firmly. His free arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her body into his much larger, muscular one. She tried to suck in air, opening her mouth to breathe in. Jace took the chance to let his tongue enter and play with hers. His hand dipped, cupping one side of her ass and squeezing.
She gasped into his mouth, his kisses becoming rougher. He lifted her up, wrapped her legs around his waist and pinned her against the nearest wall. His hips keeping her up, his hands resting on each side of her. Rose broke the kiss by turning her head away from him. Her breathing ragged, her lungs struggling to bring in oxygen. His kisses, however, didn't stop. He continued along her jaw, down her neck, and across her collarbone.
"Ja-Jace!"
He bit hard into her shoulder, a scream tearing through her. Her hands shot up to his broad shoulders, trying with all her strength to shove him off her. A knock came from the door, Morgan's voice coming through the wood. Rose's mind was too muddled to focus on what she was saying. She did feel Jace's body tense, his hands curling into fists.
"Fuck." He grumbled, dropping her to her feet and stomping off.
Rose's eyes followed him as he opened the door and slammed it shut. Her body slowly slid down the wall until she was sitting on the floor, her knees bent up to her chest. Her eyes were rimmed with tears and her hand came up to cover the newest spot he had bitten. It was throbbing with a now dull pain, something she was oddly enjoying. It took her a few minutes for her to recollect herself. When she did, she stood up and walked over to the large window. Looking down, she was able to figure out what Morgan had wanted. Jace was standing in front of a small grill, a cigarette in one hand and a spatula in the other. He was putting a few burgers on, the smoke from the charcoal flowing upwards. She sighed softly, thankful for the interruption. She wasn't sure she'd be able to stop him. Or herself.

Jace finished up his cigarette, tossed it into the yard, and started flipping the burgers. He didn't understand why he was always the one who had to cook, there were two other guys here. He placed all the cooked patties onto a plate and brought them inside. Morgan had pulled out a few condiments and was carrying on that someone needed to go to the store tonight. He rolled his eyes as he set the plate down and headed upstairs for Rose. When he opened the door, he spotted her laying spread out on the bed. He wanted badly to crawl on top of her and rip her clothes off. He cursed himself again, angry they had been interrupted earlier.
"Rose." He watched her jump up, startled by his voice. "Dinner. Let's go."
She quickly got off the bed and walked over to him. A smirk formed on his lips as she followed him downstairs. He loved when his woman was able to take commands, he just needed that to happen in the bedroom as well. Raiden, Axel, and Morgan already had their burgers plated and were sitting around the counter in the kitchen. He made one for Rose and handed it to her. When she didn't start eating right away he feared she might give him problems.
"What's wrong?" He grumbled, glaring down at her small form.
"Um-"
r /> "Are you a fucking vegetarian?"
"N-No!" She raised her head slightly to look at him. "I was just wondering if, um, I could have cheese on it?"
Jace stared at her for a moment before smiling and taking it away. He grabbed her a cheese burger and remade her plate before handing it back.
"Thank you." She spoke softly and began eating.
