Her Cocky Cowboys Page 14

“Where are we going anyway?” I asked. Not that I really cared. I’d meant it when I’d said I would have gladly gone anywhere as long as I was with the two of them. “I haven’t been out to these woods in years.”

“Oh, then you know about the little stream that runs through here?” Boone asked. “And here we thought we might be surprising you.”

“Well, I did grow up here.” I smiled. “But I can pretend to be surprised if that helps?”

“You can be whatever you want to be, sexy,” Cade said, stopping the truck next to the fence and turning off the engine. “As long as you want to be with us.”

It was like he’d been reading my mind. “That’s all I want.” I grinned, meaning it.

The three of us got out of the truck and they held the barbed wire for me as I squeezed through the fence. The woods were nice and shaded, but there was still a warm breeze blowing. It was the perfect temperature—a rare thing in Montana—and even though I still didn’t know exactly what we were doing, I was just happy to be outside and with my two guys.

“Hope you brought your bathing suit,” Boone said, taking my hand as we walked closer to the stream.

I shook my head. “I didn’t bring anything.”

He stopped and took off his shirt, then started unbuttoning his pants. “I didn’t, either.”

“Guess that means we’re skinny dipping,” Cade said. He was also in the process of undressing, and I couldn’t help but stop and stare for a few seconds at the two hot, naked guys in front of me.

God, how had I gotten so lucky? Not just one, but two? It really felt like I was being a little greedy sometimes, but I sure as hell wasn’t going to give either of them up.

Both men waded out waist-deep into the water and then turned to watch me undress. I would have normally felt self-conscious to be the center of attention like that—especially when it meant getting completely naked in broad daylight—but not with my guys. They didn’t make me feel embarrassed about my body. They made me feel sexy and beautiful, like I was the only woman they wanted.

I slowly slipped off my shirt and then stepped out of my jeans. Standing there in just a bra and panties, I took a step closer to the water.

“Not yet,” Cade said, holding up a hand. “No clothes allowed in here.”

“I just wanted to make sure you both had a good view,” I said, teasing them as I reached back to unfasten my bra.

“We’ve got the best view in the world,” Boone said, his voice low and rumbling as his eyes dropped to my uncovered breasts. “Jesus, babe… you’re just… perfect.”

And that was exactly how they made me feel.

  Perfect.

  Always.

I slowly slid my panties down and then kicked them aside. I was finally completely naked, and I stood still for a few seconds, loving the way their hungry eyes roamed up and down over my body. I was getting turned on just by watching them, and I couldn’t wait any longer.

I ran toward them, laughing and splashing water everywhere as I jumped into Cade’s arms. Boone was right there behind me, his hands exploring my body under the water as his lips brushed across the back of my neck.

“God, this feels so good,” I said, closing my eyes as I gave myself over to the sensations.

“We’re about to make you feel even better, beautiful,” Cade said, capturing my lips in a kiss as his hands moved down my body.

Their mouths, hands, and fingers were everywhere. My ass, my breasts, my pussy… no part of my body was off limits, and all I could do was moan and gasp as the waves of pleasure started building up inside of me.

“That’s right,” Boone said. “It’s all about you this time.”

“Gonna make you come for us, baby,” Cade murmured, his index finger sliding into my needy pussy. “Does that feel good, Janessa?”

“Oh, damn.” I swallowed hard, gasping for breath as he slid a second finger in. Boone had reached around to cup both of my breasts, and the feel of his rough hands on my sensitive nipples was almost more than I could take. And then combined with what Cade was doing to me? “So good… so, so good…”

I wanted this moment to last forever, but I could already feel my orgasm starting to rush through me.

“Yeah,” Cade growled, kissing me as he fingered me faster, harder, deeper. “You’re gonna come for us, aren’t you? Gonna be a good girl and come so hard for us.”

  “Yes,” I panted. “Please… just a… faster… oh, God…”

My body was rocking between the two of them as Cade fingered me while Boone’s hands kept teasing my nipples. Just a few more seconds. Just a little longer…

Finally, my climax overwhelmed me, making me cry out as my body tensed and pulsed with pleasure.

“So beautiful,” Cade murmured, kissing me softly.

“So perfect,” Boone added, stepping closer to cradle me in his arms as I came down from the high of my release.

I wasn’t sure which part I liked better—the buildup, the orgasm, or the way they wrapped me in their strong arms and soft kisses when it was all over.

I liked all of it—needed all of it. And even though I kept trying to tell myself it was just a fling, I still didn’t want it to end.

Becca and Daisy Lynn were waiting for me when I got back to the house. I’d barely made it inside my bedroom before they were both knocking on my door.

“Oh, wow,” Becca said, looking me up and down with wide eyes as I ushered them into my room. “You’re looking kind of… rough. I thought you went to get your hair done.”

I snorted. Becca never had been one to beat around the bush. She was loyal to a fault, and she didn’t believe in dressing up the truth with fake niceties. Those were qualities I usually liked about her, but maybe not so much at the moment.

“Thanks,” I said, gesturing for both of them to have a seat as I flopped down onto my bed. “I did get my hair done earlier, but… I guess it got messed up again.”

Becca set down at my desk with a confused look as she turned her chair to face me. Daisy Lynn had been lowering herself onto a beanbag chair in the corner when she stopped midway, hovering as she looked at me with her eyes wide and her mouth open.

“Oh… my… Lordy,” she said, sinking the rest of the way down onto the uncomfortable relic from my tween years. “You’re glowing. And your hair is messed up. And you look… you look like you’ve just had some amazing sex.”

I nearly rolled off the bed as I struggled to sit upright. “No, I don’t!” I tried to run a hand back through my tangled hair, then nibbled at my lip. “Do I?”

“You were out having sex?” Becca asked, sounding even more shocked than Daisy Lynn had been. “Just now? Here?”

I shrugged. “Not here. Well… sort of. Out in the stream on the other side of the pasture.”

“You were outside?” Becca gasped like she’d never heard of people having sex anywhere but in bed with the lights off.

“Which one was it?” Daisy Lynn asked. “I’m betting Cade.”

Becca nodded. “I can totally see that. But then… I’ve seen the way you look at Boone, too.”

I wasn’t sure what to say. Should I tell them the truth? They sort of knew already, so it shouldn’t be a big deal… right? They knew I’d spent the night out at the bunkhouse, at least. Surely, they didn’t think we’d been out there playing charades all night.

  Right.

  To hell with it.

“I was with both of them,” I said, feeling a little giddy as the words tumbled out. “And it was amazing, so that’s probably why I look like this. They’re both… I don’t even have words.”

Daisy Lynn was grinning from ear to ear, but Becca’s eyes were seriously at risk of falling out of her head if they got any wider.

“Wow,” Becca whispered. “Both? At the same time?”

I shrugged. “I like both of them, and they like to share. I think it’s perfect.”

“And what do they think?” Daisy Lynn asked. “Is it something serious
? How does that even work?”

I sighed. That was the complicated part. Not the part about how it would work—it would work perfectly; I already knew that for sure. They weren’t jealous of each other, and I liked them both equally but in different ways and for different reasons. There was absolutely no competition—except maybe when it came to seeing which one of them could make me come faster.

“It would work just fine,” I said. “Except… I guess it’s just a fling for now.”

“You guess?” Becca asked, her brow furrowing. “For now? Have the three of you actually talked about it yet?”

I thought back to the night before in the bunkhouse. Everything was sort of a blur, but I could still remember exactly what they’d said.

“They just want a fling,” I sighed. “That’s what they told me. And that’s… fine. Right? It’s fine.”

“Is it?” Daisy Lynn asked. “It’s perfectly fine if that’s what all three of you want, but it seems like you’re not fine with it.”

I could feel tears starting to well up in my eyes. I didn’t even know why I was getting so emotional about it. It was fine. Really, it was. Trying to have everything I wanted all at once really would have been selfish. I should just be appreciative of the time I was getting to spend with them.

“I don’t know,” I said, finally. “Of course I want more, but it’s not like I can force them to want the same thing. And I don’t even want to bring it up because everything is so good between us right now. What if I ask for too much and they decide it’s not worth it?”

That was my biggest fear, but I hadn’t realized it until I’d said it out loud. Now that I had them—even if it was only a fling—I was scared to death that I’d do something wrong and lose it all.

Becca crossed the room and sat on one side of me while Daisy Lynn walked over to my other side. Becca gave me a half-hug and told me what I already knew. “If you really feel that way—if you really want more than just something physical—you need to tell them.”

“She’s right,” Daisy Lynn said. “You deserve to have everything you want, Janessa. And if they’re the kind of guys who would leave you for speaking up like that, are they even worth having?”

“They’re worth having,” I said without hesitating. “But… yeah. You’re both right. I should talk to them.”

  I just didn’t know when.

  Or how.

  Chapter 19

  Boone

I wasn’t trying to listen. I didn’t mean to overhear their conversation.

I’d just gone upstairs to check on Janessa, and I’d heard… well, I’d heard enough for my stomach to turn over and tie itself into a knot.

By the time I made it back to the bunkhouse, I thought I might actually throw up. My nerves were on edge, and I didn’t know what to do.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Cade asked, a worried look on his face as he stood up from the bed where he’d been sprawled out napping. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

“I was up at the house just now,” I said, jerking my thumb in that direction. “And I, uh… I just went there to make sure Janessa was okay, you know? I mean, I know we just dropped her off a little while ago, but—” I stopped and shook my head. Get it together. “Anyway, she was in her room with her friends. I could hear them talking before I even made it to the door.”

“And?” Cade smirked. “A little girl talk scared you off? Or did you actually stand there and listen?”

“I wasn’t listening,” I said, even though that was technically what I’d been doing. “I just… they were talking about us.”

Cade’s eyebrows shot up, but his smile only grew wider. “She was telling them about how good we were?” He nodded. “I could tell she loved every minute of it. Fuck, she’s hot.”

“You’re an idiot,” I said, nearly laughing at him in spite of the fact that every single one of my nerves was on edge. “And no, that wasn’t what she was saying.”

“Well, she couldn’t have been saying it was bad.” He shook his head. “That’s just not possible. She couldn’t have been faking all those noises.”

“I know it’s a lot to ask, but if we could talk about something besides your dick for a second? Please?” I spoke the next words slowly and clearly so I could make sure they got through to his sex-crazed brain. “She told them she wants a relationship. With us. Both of us. All three of us. Together.”

“Got it, thanks…” He was looking at me like I was the idiot. “Is that what’s got you so worked up?”

It was almost like we were speaking two different languages, and the way he was acting like it was no big deal? Not gonna lie, it was starting to piss me off.

“You don’t have any thoughts about that at all?” I asked, still sort of hoping that he’d realize the importance of what she’d said before I had to spell it out for him. “I think she’s falling in love, Cade.”

“Yeah, I think you’re right.” He shrugged. “But I feel the same way about her, so… I guess I just don’t see what the problem is?”

I had to remind myself to breathe.

  And count to ten.

  And breathe.

Of course he thought he was in love, too. But I knew from years and years of experience that he most likely hadn’t really thought about it at all.

Love was a big deal. Love was… everything.

Could I be in love with Janessa? Hell yeah, I could. It would be the easiest thing in the world to fall in love with a girl as perfect as she was.

But it also scared the hell out of me. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t know if I’d ever be ready. And especially since she wanted both of us… I just didn’t know what to do.

“The problem is that she’s young,” I said. “And I’m not trying to be an asshole, but you don’t exactly have the greatest track record when it comes to relationships, either.”

“Well, that is an asshole thing to say.” He gave me a hard look. “But I don’t mind proving myself to her. What about you? You didn’t seem to think she was too young when you were fucking her.”

“I didn’t mean she was too young for a fling,” I said, trying to keep my tone in check. I didn’t want this to turn into a fight, but I could tell we were both on edge now. “I thought I made that pretty clear from the beginning. That’s all I can commit to right now. Even… even if I want more, I don’t think I can.”

“What are you so afraid of?” he asked, his tone softening a little. “For as long as we’ve known each other, I’ve never seen you afraid of anything except…”

“Except love,” I finished. “That’s what I’m afraid of. I don’t want to fuck it up. What if she decides it isn’t what she wants after all? What if you decide that? What if I do? Then what happens?” I shook my head. “No, I can’t do it. I won’t.”

“Then you need to tell her,” Cade said. “Soon. If she thinks there’s something more going on, you have to tell her how you really feel.”

  “Yeah…”

“No, you don’t.” Janessa’s voice made my heart stop beating as I turned to see her standing in the doorway. “You don’t have to tell me anything. I’ve already heard enough.”

  She turned and ran.

  Fuck.

  Fuck.

By the time I made it to the door of the bunkhouse, she was already halfway across the yard.

  “Janessa!” I shouted. “Wait, please!”

“Go.” Cade pushed me out the door. “You need to catch her. Go.”

I started running after her, calling her name every few seconds, but she never turned back around. She ran inside and slammed the door behind her.

Jesus. Why couldn’t I have kept my fucking mouth shut? Why did I have to be such a dumbass? How had I managed to nearly have a fight with my best friend—my only friend—and somehow hurt the only woman I cared about all at the same time?

It took a special talent to fuck things up that badly.

I was so determined to follow her inside that I nearly collided
with Justin as he was walking out the back door of his house.

“Boone, what the hell?” The older man grabbed me by the shoulders to keep both of us upright. “I was just coming to find you.”

  Great.

Now she’d gone and gotten her uncle involved. He’d probably shoot me in the balls for upsetting his niece. Not that I could really blame him, of course. I was pretty pissed off at myself, too.

“Justin, I just need to talk to Janessa for a minute, okay?” I tried to push past him, but he didn’t let go.

“Okay, but that’s not something you need to worry about right now.” His tone sharpened. “Boone. Listen to me. Listen.”

He was shaking me, and I was starting to get really angry. It would have been enough to make me hit any other man, but I had enough respect for Justin that I tried to calm down enough to hear what he was saying. I knew he didn’t want me talking to her, but damn… I just needed a few minutes.

“What?” I asked, still looking past him into the house. “I just need—”

“No, you need to get home,” he interrupted. “Right now. I just got off the phone with the sheriff. Boone, are you listening?”

His words finally, slowly started to sink in.

  Go home?

  The sheriff called?

  What?

“I’m listening,” I said, finally turning my attention to him. For the first time, I could see from the look in his eyes that he wasn’t angry. He was worried. Maybe even a little scared.

“You’ve gotta go home,” he repeated. “Boone… there’s a fire at your ranch.”

  Chapter 20

  Janessa

I wasn’t sure how much time had passed.

Not that it mattered. Nothing mattered anymore.

And okay, so maybe that was a little dramatic, but I was allowed to feel that way for at least a little while, right? The man of my dreams—one of them, anyway—had said he didn’t want me.
