One Hundred Poems, Volume IV Page 5

  >In case I did mishear,

  >Oi, do not disappear,

  >Just get back here,

  >Say it in my ear.

  Would you say it again,

Or is it deafness you feign,

  For uttering from your brain?

  Sure;

You could have been an ass,

  Spouting but moronic sass,

  But do consider the mass,

  Of what you said last,

  Regardless of class,

  And say it again.

  Thus I ask:

  Stand by what you said,

  Even before crippling dread,

Angry mob wishing you to be dead,

Because courage is needed to move ahead,

To shatter bondage of falsehoods with vorpal truth.

Or just to be a colossal ass,

  Both are fine,

  By me.

  Love of All Things

Look at all the things you love,

Do they number like stars above,

Or barely by the fingers of a glove?

Should someone try take them from you,

Is there no limit to what you could do,

Surpass any task out of the blue?

Truly it is a curious force,

  Unpredictable like a dark horse,

And mighty enough to change course.

So I ask if there is anything more terrifying,

Than the age old notion of love undying,

For its wrath is beyond all denying.

Die Clara Die, on Doctor Who

The tittle might have led you wrong,

I love that character more than River Song,

But her many 'deaths' have happened far too long,

With times so numerous that she cannot belong,

Hence I wish to greet her with phrase: so long,

Because episodes without her felt so strong,

As writers didn't have to scrape along,

On that fine line bound to go wrong,

With plot lines far too headstrong,

To be bound by a singular twang.

The Modern News of the Political Left

In recent years it has become painfully obvious,

How left leaning outlets lie to their audience,

But luckily there is a thumb rule to follow,

And thus you are not forced to swallow,

If you pay attention to the reported actions,

Then you can get the truth about these factions,

But only if you remember they report the opposite,

If it is reported as horrible: then in reality it is positive,

And should it be admirable: then the truth is nowhere near,

Hence you should laugh whenever they try spread fear!

For example let us consider that rich Mizzou man,

Who pulled off a Russian insurance scam,

And an innocent man had to resign,

  Because his colour didn't align.

Or whenever something is compared to that #GamerGate,

Regardless of the accusations written in that click bait,

Someone just stood against authoritative narrative,

That extreme left took as their divine imperative.

When they started to consider journalistic inaccuracies as something small,

What they managed was to sow the very seeds of their own downfall,

Because each and everyone of us is passionate about something,

If you get it wrong once - 'What else?' - we will be asking.

  December Rains

  Listen to it pour,

  Hour upon an hour,

  With coldness on floor,

It is time to close the door,

And just listen the clouds roar,

As darkness swallows all once more.

  That Malaysian Prime Minister

There is no other way about this,

  Everyone wishes him to resign,

  A departure none would miss,

For he is a corrupted swine,

  Symbol of everything amiss,

  Devouring taxed pearls and wine,

Accusations that he tries to dismiss,

Therefore revealing a lack of spine,

With that head full of only piss,

As corruption is his only line.

  And a fourth hundred

Apparently I have at least 600 more to go,

Thus far it has been both fast and slow,

Since that day quite a long time ago.

I suppose the form is taking shape,

Efforts of a common great ape,

I plan not to stop or escape.
