“Sammy.” He stroked her neck before tracing his fingers over her swollen lips. He’d kissed her harder than usual. “That was the best for me. Hands down.”

“Me too.” She laughed, but it came out as a throaty giggle. “You’re the best.”

“No, you don’t understand.” He lifted her off of him and turned her to face him. She rested on her knees, waiting for him to speak. “It’s never been that good for me, because I’ve never felt this way about anyone before you.”

“I know what you mean.” She took his face between her hands and kissed him. “You’re my only, but I’ve never felt this deeply about anyone before. There’s a reason I was in that hotel that night, Tyler. I thought it was for something else, but now I know.”

“What do you mean?” He trailed his lips along her jaw. “What do you know?”

“It happened the way it was supposed to.”

“Of course it did.” He laughed. “You’re not making any sense.”

“I need you to know.” She kissed him. “You’re everything to me. I’ve been alone for so long. I never thought I’d find someone like you. I’ve sheltered myself because that’s how I was raised.”

“You’re not ever going to be alone again.” He lifted her hand to his mouth, gently kissing each finger. “I’m certain of that.”

  “I love you,” she whispered.

He froze, because no woman had ever said that to him except for his mother. He liked the way it sounded coming from Sammy.

“I didn’t say it because I need to hear it.” The smile on her face was relaxed. Like always, she appeared unassuming, never expecting anything in return. “I said it because I wanted you to hear it. I needed you to know.”

“Say it again.” He swiped his mouth along her jaw and to her ear. “I want to hear it again.”

  “I love you.”

Making sure his kiss was soft and tender, he wanted her to feel what he felt. He needed her to know how much her emotions were reciprocated.

She sighed as he pulled away. “Now I need you to hear what I have to say.”

  She nodded.

“I love you too.” He kissed the corner of her mouth. “I figured it out on Monday night.”

  “Monday night?”

“That was the first night I spent in my hotel room. When I closed my eyes, I was restless because I wouldn’t be able to see you for five more days.”

He recalled how quiet the room was and how big the bed seemed. He realized then that what he felt was more than missing her.

“That didn’t sit well with me. I thought about you. I focused on the color of your eyes and how wide they get when you’re experiencing something new. I inhaled and imagined your vanilla scented aroma on my flesh after we lie tangled in my sheets. I tried really hard not to think about your body though, your perky breasts and delicate curves, because five days was a long way off. I did manage to shift my concentration to your smile and the way you giggle when I say something silly. It’s the most beautiful sound.”

“You make me laugh a lot. It’s a good feeling.”

He’d do everything in his power to keep her smiling. “Do you know what happened that night in the hotel room?”

  “What?”

“As I drifted off to sleep, I knew I was totally and ridiculously in love with you. The idea of you, the thought of you, all of you. I was going to tell you at dinner tonight. That’s why I sent the dress and gave you a day at the spa. I wanted you to never forget the day I told you I love you.”

  “I ruined your plans.”

“No, you made them more perfect than even I could have imagined. Being here with you right now, experiencing what we did together, only reinforces my revelation.”

“I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”

“We deserve one another, gorgeous. Don’t ever forget that.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and cuddled into his chest. The skin that was overheated from sex a few minutes ago was now cool and he noticed the goosebumps forming on her arms.

  “Are you cold?”

“A little, but being close to you makes it all good.”

“How about I draw you a bath? I know how much you like my tub.”

  “Will you be joining me?”

“You couldn’t keep me out.” He kissed the top of her head. “Let’s go.”

TYLER STEPPED INTO the hot, steamy water and extended his hand for Sammy. Once he sat down, he guided her between his legs. He rested against the porcelain tub as she settled into his chest. A perfect fit.

The tub was so big that even with the two of them in it, there was still enough room to move and stretch out. He had put the jets on low. Warm water swirled around them as the bubbles gently covered their skin. The scent of jasmine rose up, filling the bathroom with a light mist. The lights were dim and a few candles illuminated the area, creating a calming atmosphere.

“This is so relaxing,” she said as she rested her head on his chest. “I could fall asleep.”

“You’ve been busy.” He twirled the ends of her hair around his fingers, putting her into a deeper state of relaxation. “You’ve been studying so hard, working and rehearsing for weeks. I’m glad you’re going to get some time off soon. I want you to enjoy your summer.”

“I still have to work.” She was excited about going to Cannon Advertising full-time. She enjoyed being Jack’s assistant. He was teaching her about the advertising world. She hoped he would keep her on in some capacity once his assistant returned.

“If you don’t want to do full-time, you don’t have to. My grandfather can make do with a part-time assistant.”

“I want to,” she said. “I could use the money when school starts. I’m saving to visit my grandparents too.” She closed her eyes when he rubbed her neck. “I haven’t seen them since Christmas when they came home. I miss them.”

“When are you planning on a trip to Florida?” His skilled fingers dug deeper into her muscles. The pressure was what she needed to relieve the tension in her neck.

“I’d like to go before I have to go back to school in September, but airfare is expensive. With my rent and tuition, it’s hard to get down to see them.”

“When do you want to go? I’ll make the arrangements. How about after your recital?”

“No, I told you I have to save up for the trip.”

“I’ll take care of it. I know you miss your grandparents, and I want you to go and see them.”

“I can’t ask you to do that.” She turned her head to the side and looked up at him.

“You didn’t ask.” He kissed her temple. “I offered.”

“I don’t know what to say.”

“Say that I can come with you.” He went back to playing with her hair. “I’d like to meet your family.”

  “You would?”

“You’ve met mine. I think it’s time you introduced me to yours.” He wrapped his arms around her. “Don’t you?”

She had told her grandmother she was dating a guy from the city, but she never mentioned which guy. Tyler Cannon wasn’t any guy. He was rich, smart, and good-looking. He was her first, her only. Why hadn’t she told her grandparents how happy she had been? How special he made her feel? How he treated her like a princess? She didn’t want them to worry. She wanted to make sure this was real before she shared her bliss.

“They do know about me, don’t they?”

“I told them I was seeing someone.”

  “That’s it?”

“They’re old-school, and I didn’t want them worrying about me being alone in the city and dating an older guy.”

“I’m not that old.” He laughed. “You don’t think they’ll like me?”

“I’m sure they’ll adore you.” She turned and straddled his lap. “You know how I know?”

“How?” He pushed the hair from her face.

“Because I adore you.” She rocked against his newly forming erection. “I want you to come to Florida with me. I want my gr
andparents to see how happy you make me.”

“I’ll go anywhere with you, baby.”

“Hmm...” She pressed her lips to his. “I’m feeling a little needy right now.”

“You’ll never be needy when I’m around, but if we’re going to play we need to get out of the tub.” He circled his fingertip over her aroused nipple. “I want to do things to you that I can’t do in here.”

“Don’t worry.” She grinned as she glanced down at his length that was now sticking out of the water. “I can make you feel good first.” She scooted off his lap and positioned herself between his legs, resting on her knees. As she shifted her body, she upset the water, causing it to swish over the side and onto the floor. “Oops.”

“I don’t give a crap about water on the floor.” He concentrated on teasing her nipple. “I want to hear more about what you’re thinking.”

“That I want to touch you.” She drug her finger down his chest, moving the bubbles around that had settled on his skin. “You have the best body.”

“I’m glad you like it.” He closed his eyes when she moved her fingers below his belly button. “Lower, baby.”

“Like here?” She swiped her thumb across the tip of his cock.

“Yes.” He leaned back against the tub, draping his arms over the sides. “Like right there.”

She gripped his smooth, wet, thick erection in her hand, licking her lips when she saw the moisture beading at his tip. She couldn’t help herself as she moved onto her stomach and lowered her mouth to his cock. The tub was so big that there was plenty of room for her to maneuver.

“Shit.” He hissed when she swirled her tongue over his head, lapping up the pre-cum that had settled there. Tasting his salty essence fueled her desire to give him more, to make him feel as good as he always made her. She looked up at him and smiled before taking him as far as she could, cradling his balls in one hand and grasping the base of his cock with her other.

“Sammy.” He moaned as he reached down, cupping her chin between his fingers, holding her still as he thrust into her mouth.

The sound of the water splashing from side to side as it ran over the edge of the tub and hit the floor echoed throughout the bathroom. The warmth of the water washed over her breasts as she pleased him.

He’d tangled his fingers in her hair with his other hand, giving him full control over the pace. He thrust his hips forward, quick and deep as she hummed around him. She relaxed her throat, accepting all he had to offer. She let go of him, resting her hands on his taut thighs as he worked himself into an orgasm. There was nothing more arousing than Tyler lost in pleasure. The pleasure that she was responsible for.

“I’m going to... You have to move,” he mumbled, but she had no intention of moving. She wanted her reward.

She leaned closer, flattened her tongue along the backside of his length, and waited as he released hard into her mouth. He tightened his hold on her hair as he trembled with aftershocks. Once he relaxed against her shoulders, she moved back and looked up at him.

“How was that?” she asked with a confident swagger.

“That was, well...” He smoothed the damp hair from her face. “I fuckin’ love you.”

“I’ll never get tired of hearing that.” She slithered up his body and lay on top of him. “This is the best bath I’ve ever had.”

“Hmm.” He traced his fingertips along her spine. “Wait until you see what I can do in the shower.”

  Chapter 12

After Sammy said goodbye to her fellow classmates and orchestra members, she hurried down the hall and to the front of the building. The semester was finally over. Now she could spend more time with Tyler. Not only had he promised to take her to visit her grandparents, but he had planned a few weekend getaways. She looked forward to being with him often.

When she turned the corner, she could hear all the people from the audience gathered in the main lobby of the concert hall. People were laughing, chatting, and enjoying drinks and pastries as they waited for the performers to join them.

She scanned the room, searching for Tyler. It didn’t take her long to spot him. His designer suit, major model sex appeal, and impeccable style had almost everyone in the room staring at him. He leaned against a large stone pillar, glancing at his phone, totally unaware that every woman in the room was taking him in. She’d gotten used to women eyeing him up. It didn’t matter, because she was the girl he loved. The only one he wanted.

As she came toward him, he looked up and smiled at her with those kissable lips and piercing green eyes. It was as if he sensed her coming.

“There you are.” He walked toward her, still grinning. “You were incredible.” He took her hand in his, leaning in to kiss her cheek. “I’m so impressed.”

  “You liked the recital?”

Tonight had been the first time he’d heard her formally play. He’d listened as she practiced, but that wasn’t the same as being with the full orchestra under the stage lights in a concert hall. The end of the semester recital was always her favorite performance. It gave the students a chance to show off what they’d been working on the past few months. She always felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment when she finished.

“I loved it. I’m thrilled to have been invited.” He squeezed her hand. “Thank you for including me.”

“Are you kidding?” She hugged him. “Thank you for coming. This was my first major concert that my grandparents couldn’t attend. It felt good knowing you were in the audience.”

“Your grandparents were here with you tonight.”

“In spirit.” She smiled when she thought about them. They hated to miss her performance, but she didn’t want them to spend the money to fly to New York, especially now that Tyler was taking her to visit them in a few weeks.

“I’m sure they’re always with you in spirit, but tonight I wanted to make sure they were really here with you.”

“What?” She didn’t understand what he was saying.

“Look.” He motioned toward the foyer. “Do you know them?”

Standing across the room, smiling and waving were her grandparents.

“No way. How did... You did this?”

“For you, baby. I wanted them to be here with you tonight.”

“How did you manage this? You don’t even know them.”

“I know everything.” He laughed as he guided her in the direction of her waiting grandparents, who couldn’t look any happier. “They’re awesome too.”

“Bella Sammy.” Her grandfather used his favorite term of endearment for her. “You sounded perfect tonight. You’ve been working hard, and it shows.”

She let go of Tyler’s hand when her grandfather pulled her into a big embrace.

“What are you doing here?” She let go of him so she could hug her grandmother. “I can’t believe it.”

“Your very handsome boyfriend made it impossible for us to say no,” her grandmother said as she hugged her. “Why didn’t you tell me how attractive he was?”

“I’m sure I mentioned it.” Her cheeks filled with heat when she thought about all the things her grandparents probably told Tyler.

“You said he was good-looking and you sent me one picture of the two of you.” Her grandmother stared at Tyler. “He’s much better looking in person.”

  “Gran!”

“I’m glad you think so,” Tyler intervened as he draped his arm along Sammy’s back. “I’ve been having a wonderful time planning this surprise. Your grandparents are on speed dial on my office phone.”

“This one is very persuasive,” her grandfather said. “Your grandmother and I were discussing coming home to see you, and then two hours later Tyler called and asked us to come for your recital.”

“It was a sign,” her grandmother offered.

“I’m glad it worked out.” Tyler held Sammy close to his side.

“Tyler wanted it to be a surprise. He’s a romantic. He even insisted on putting us up in a beautiful hotel here in
the city.” Her grandmother smiled. “I’ve never stayed in Manhattan before.”

“We could have gone to our home too,” her grandfather said.

“Nonsense.” Tyler scoffed. “I didn’t want you to go through the trouble of opening up your house for a few days. That would have been too much work. This is your mini-vacation.”

“We can’t thank you enough for bringing us here to see Sammy.” Her grandmother’s eyes teared up. “We miss her so much.”

“I miss you too, but Florida is the best place for you. No snow, no shoveling, and you live in a beautiful, new condo.”

“It’s not New York, and I miss the Yankees,” her grandfather complained, “but it’s good.” He looked at Tyler and asked, “Are you a Yankees fan?”

“Of course.” Tyler said. “We’ll have to go to a game next time you come home.”

“I like him.” Her grandfather winked at Sammy as he and her grandmother made their way to the exit. “He’s a keeper.”

“You certainly are.” Sammy and Tyler followed them out. “I can’t believe you did this for them.”

“For you,” he whispered before stealing a quick kiss. “I made dinner reservations at the top of the hotel they’re staying at. I have a car for us out front.”

“You thought of everything.” She pressed against his side. “Thank you. This is the best surprise ever.”

“Anything for you.” He kissed the top of her head. “Don’t you know that by now?”

She watched as her grandparents slipped into the sleek, black limo. Their expressions told her how excited they were. Never had they experienced this kind of style before. They’d lived in Brooklyn all of their lives, but hardly made it into Manhattan. They were simple people who enjoyed the easy life. They didn’t need lavish, but tonight was special. Tyler had made them happy. Before getting into the car, she reached up on her toes and planted a kiss on his lips.
