Don’t Miss Books 1 and 2 in the Centauri Captives Series

An Excerpt from Tamed, Centauri Captives Book 3

Aja - may be his captive,

  But I won’t be conquered.

The dominant alien ordering me to call him Master is more than a warrior. Dark and mysterious, he has skills and talents beyond any I’ve ever encountered.

  He can read my soul.

He’s discovered my naughtiest secret desires. And he’s determined to make me act out those wicked fantasies—for his enjoyment.

But I have another secret. One he must never learn. For it could cost me my life.

Vyraz – I am the last of my kind, preparing for the end. Until a headstrong human dares me to conquer her—and brings me back to life.

Arythios is gone, destroyed by an evil force. Men, women, children—dead. All that remains of our world, once the most powerful in the galaxy, is a team of warriors, a handful of starships, and me – the last surviving Archon.

I carry a heavy burden, that of keeping our history alive. And now I’ve been tasked with another. Choose one of the females sent to us as a breeder and impregnate her to insure the survival of our race.

That part of my life has long passed, as has my desire. But I will do my duty and set an example for those who want nothing to do with the small, frail humans the Federation sent us.

One catches my eye. Her skin is black as the vast expanse of deep space and there’s fire in her soul. But she refuses to submit – and my honor will not let me take her against her will.

I’ll need to call upon all my skills, all my training as an Archon. But as I uncover her most shameful secret desires, she awakens mine. Now I’m determined to conquer her—and make her beg me to bring them all to life.

Centauri Captives is a steamy sci-fi romance series from USA Today Bestselling Authors Kallista Dane and Kate Richards featuring masterful alien warriors and the captive Earth women they take as mates in a desperate attempt to save their race from oblivion.

Each book is a stand-alone, introducing a strong smart heroine and a super-hot alien hero in a battle of the sexes as old as the Universe.

  Prologue

  Vyraz

She came toward me slowly, hips swaying. Moving to an exotic cadence as old as time. I could almost hear the low, seductive chant, feel the pulsing beat deep in my loins. An Arythian fertility goddess come to life.

But the fertility goddesses depicted in ancient scrolls did not have skin as black as the precious gemstones of the Mira-Ba caverns.

She wore a skirt made of narrow golden ribbons hanging down to the floor. Each one was tied to a link in the bronze chain fitted around her slender waist, just above the place where her hips swelled out. They fluttered with every step she took, revealing she was naked underneath.

Her head was bowed, her face in the shadows. All I could see was her silky black hair. It flowed down to graze lush full breasts tipped with shocking-pink nipples, as though the gods who created her wanted every male who set eyes on her to hunger for a taste of them.

She stopped in front of me, so close her scent filled my lungs, and dropped to her knees.

“Forgive me, Master,” she said. “I have done something forbidden.”

My mind flooded with erotic images. I fought to keep my voice stern. “What did you do?”

“I pleasured myself, my lord.” She went on in a rush, as though she might not have the courage to continue. “Without your permission. I know it was wrong.”

My cock swelled. “How did you pleasure yourself?”

“With my hands…” Her voice dropped to a whisper. “And the wand.”

“Don’t tell me,” I growled. “Show me.”

“No!” She looked up at me then, her beautiful dark eyes wide. “My lord, please. I know I deserve to be punished. But please…don’t make me do that.”

“You will do it in front of me. Or you will be punished—in front of all my men.” I ignored her shocked gasp. “Now, show me exactly what you did.”

She lay back on the floor, knees bent, legs spread. The silken ribbons parted, revealing soft labial folds the color of a seasprite shell, all the brighter against her ebony skin. With one hand, she stroked her pleasure nub, making it swell and grow, while one finger of her other hand dipped between the folds.

She stopped. Dropped her hands to her sides. “That’s what I did,” she murmured.

My cockheads strained against my pants, desperate to go where her finger had been. “Did you climax?”

  “Yes, my lord.”

“Even though you knew it was forbidden.”

  “Y…yes, Master.”

“Then keep going,” I commanded. “Do it again, exactly the way you did before. I want to watch.” I dropped to my knees, positioned myself between her legs so I had a close-up view.

Hesitantly, she pulled back the hood of her pleasure nub, began stroking it. Slipped her finger back inside the tight folds of her pussy.

“That’s not the way you did it,” I snapped. “You used the wand. It’s bigger than a single finger.”

She blushed, her cheeks turning the color of her pussy lips, and slid a second finger in. “Now do it. Make yourself come.”

I meant to drive home my dominance, but it was more like a punishment for me. Watching her fingers plunging in and out, hips bucking as she picked up the pace. Rubbing her little nub faster and faster, panting for breath as it swelled and grew.

Finally, I couldn’t bear it any longer. With a roar, I yanked down my pants. I leaned over her, braced myself on my elbows, and set my cockheads free. They twisted and writhed as they neared her dripping wet pussy. I lunged forward, ready to bury myself to the hilt in her sweet heat.

  Chapter One

  Vyraz

  “Archon. Archon!”

I ran a trembling hand across my forehead. It had been many sols since I had a v
ision with such vivid detail. Even longer since I had such a rock-hard erection.

Rearranging my swollen member in my pants, I headed for the wall along the corridor. Laid my palm against it.

A section of the wall evaporated, revealing Admiral Dylos, his hand raised to knock again. “I’m sorry to disturb you,” he said, striding into the room. “I hope I didn’t interrupt anything important.”

“Not at all,” I lied. I ripped off the VR headset before he noticed it wasn’t switched on. “It’s time I took a break.”

  “Have you found anything new?”

“Only a few phrases from one of the oldest scrolls. It’s slow going because I have to spell out every word letter by letter. Once I teach Larissa the ancient script, she’ll be able to transcribe it into both languages as fast as I visualize it.”

“Yes, Archon, I will.” The disembodied female voice of my AI assistant floated around us. In a moment of nostalgia, I’d christened her with the name of my first girlfriend.

“Do you think the scroll refers to our enemy?” Dylos asked. “What did it say?”

I thought back to the cryptic words. “I don’t know how old the scroll was. From the condition, it could have dated back hundreds of millennia. The scribe recounted an attack on Arythios by something or someone called the Rydek. The next few lines were torn away, then it picked up in the middle of a sentence. ‘The beast that thou sawest descended from the darkness above. And they that dwell in this world shall wonder when they behold the beast that was and is not and yet is.’ The part about a beast descending from the darkness above stood out. It sounded like an enemy that came from space, rather than a creature living inside a cave or deep in the ocean.”

“‘Was and is not and yet is.’ What the seventh hell does that mean?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know yet, Admiral. Our learned Holy Ones often used mystical language to hide the fact that they didn’t have any idea what was going on.”

Dylos laughed. “We are blessed to have you, Archon. Without your skill, all the ancient knowledge—such as it is—would have been lost to us forever.”

“It’s not a skill. My ability to recall everything I’ve ever learned is a gift from the gods.”

“Many are born with gifts. Few take the time and effort to perfect them as skills.”

I bowed my head to acknowledge the compliment. “I’m sorry I don’t have more to report, Admiral.”

“Please, call me Dylos. We’ve been friends forever. Besides, even though anything you can discover about our enemy is crucial, I didn’t come for a progress report. May I speak frankly with you?”

Friends forever. That was stretching the facts. Dylos had been one of my star pupils when I left the military to devote myself to training a new generation of warriors. Now he was commander of the Arythian Starfleet—or what remained of it. The realization hit me, along with a fresh wave of grief. There wouldn’t be a new generation of warriors to train.

“You’ve been locked away here for so long, Vyraz, I’m not sure if you heard the news. Although the Federation refused our request for sanctuary or assistance, the ruler of one of their minor planets said he was sending us a gift. ‘A gesture of Terran goodwill’ he called it. ‘To see to the needs of our men.’” He paused, pointing to the lounging area in my quarters. “Can we sit down?”

  “Certainly,” I replied.

Dylos waited till I took a seat then settled in the pod facing mine. “An unmanned transport vehicle arrived a few sol cycles ago from Earth, bearing a cargo of aliens in stasis. We put them through a battery of tests. They are all healthy females.”

“To see to the needs of our men,” I repeated. “Quite a gift. We may not have a home, but now we can start our own private Pleasure Dome.”

He nodded. “More of an insult than a gift. That’s what I thought too. Until the doctor informed me they are all healthy fertile females.”

It took a moment for the word to sink in. “Breeding stock!”

Dylos nodded. “At first, when I discovered he sent us females instead of weapons or a team of warriors, I was insulted. But frankly, we have to put our pride aside and face the facts. Our world is gone. Men, women, children—all dead at the hand of an unknown enemy that may or may not be this Rydek that invaded our world once before, eons ago. We’re the sole survivors—a single battalion of starship warriors lucky enough—or unlucky enough—to be far away from home when our planet was attacked. Just between us, Archon, there are times I wish the enemy had taken me, too. I still can’t believe my Illora is gone, along with all our family and friends. You know, we never had any offspring but we were still trying…” His voice cracked, and he turned away for a moment.

I sat in silence, waiting for him to compose himself. There were no words, no gestures of comfort I could offer, to ease the pain in his soul. I didn’t have a mate, but I, too, had lost loved ones. We all had. Captain Mantsk had ordered the solport stripped of all color, knowing the sight of yellow or green or blue would bring back memories of happier times with those who were gone and stab at our hearts. Grief had turned us all gray, and we rocketed through the cosmos in our gray tomb, waiting until death freed us from the unbearable pain.

My mind was reeling. Was it possible? Could we impregnate these alien females? Assure the survival of our race, even though the gene pool would be diluted?

Dylos must have wondered the same thing. “We can fuck any species,” he said. “Gods know, our men have had some unusual holes to choose from in the Pleasure Domes. Producing offspring with these aliens is another matter. But the chance to save our race from extinction, even if we’d go on as half-breeds—we have to try.”

“I agree. And I will ask the gods for their blessing on you and the other men you choose. I assume they didn’t send enough for everyone,” I added.

“No and that’s part of the problem. As the highest ranking officer left alive, I’m in charge of our Starfleet, like it or not. I have to decide who gets a mate and who doesn’t. I allowed Mantsk first choice, as befitting his status as captain of this solport. It’s the closest thing we have to a home. Then I picked one. Commander Joran came next. And I figured I’d have each starship commander choose a female. I want them to have hope for the future. Something to fight for when we go into battle with the enemy.”

  I nodded. “Wise choices.”

“Here’s where I need your help. Some of the men have been grumbling. Saying they don’t want to have to fuck ugly aliens and raise half-breed offspring. They’d rather take care of their needs the way our warriors without a mate have always done—with willing females from a Pleasure Dome.”

  “Are the humans ugly?”

“Well, they’re not as pretty as our females. They’re small and dull looking, and most of them have pale skin.”

“So you want me to talk to the men? I can try to find some way to make them look at it as a pleasure instead of a duty.”

“Actually, I was hoping you would choose one yourself. It would set a wonderful example for the troops if our Archon took a human mate and impregnated her.” He caught the shocked expression on my face and hesitated before going on. “There’s one more thing. It turns out the humans they sent us weren’t volunteers. Their leader apparently saw an opportunity to rid his world of females who could cause him a problem. So far the ones we’ve chosen aren’t willing to call us Master and be submissive, let alone breeding with us when we order them to. We’ve had to resort to stern punishment just to make them obey like proper Arythian mates.”

His face brightened. “On a positive note, we’ve discovered there is one time they change color. It’s when we spank them. Then their asses turn a pretty shade of pink. Sometimes even red.” He grinned. “And they seem to like being punished. So far, every one of them has found it arousing.”

I was shaking my head. “Dylos, I’d like to help, but that’s out of the question. I’m long past the sol when I could bed a female, let alone sire young.”

  “Bas
ed on what I saw when I walked in, I don’t think that’s quite accurate, Vyraz.” He glanced down at the bulge still noticeable in my trousers and winked. “All I ask is that you come and take a look. The rest of them are still in stasis, so you can take your time. Who knows, one may strike your fancy.” His smile disappeared. “I need you, sir. Your race needs you. You’re the last of your kind. When you’re gone, the legacy of an Archon goes with you—unless you produce an heir who has your gifts.”

I sighed. “I taught you too well, Admiral. When flattery doesn’t work, trot out duty and honor. And if all else fails, aim for the groin.”

I followed him down the long gray corridors. Though I hated to admit it, he had me intrigued. I’d had my share of females over the sols, but I was dedicated to my studies and then to my work so I never took a mate. And, over time, desire had faded. I couldn’t remember the last time I visited a pleasure worker. But having him appear right after my erotic vision, talking of submission and spanking and bright-red asses, had my cock stiff again. I told myself it couldn’t hurt just to look.

We headed for the transport bay. It had been taken over by the human cargo, walls and partitions removed to form one cavernous space lined with tables, each one bearing a female in deep sleep. Some naked, some wearing gowns, others covered with a sheet.

I could see what he meant. They were smaller than our females. One looked so tiny I didn’t see how her body would be capable of taking the erect cock of an Arythian warrior. Dylos stood back while I wandered along the rows, enjoying the sight of them. I wasn’t so old that I failed to be stirred by a pair of lush full breasts or a firm rounded ass. Thank the gods from what I’d seen all of them had only two breasts each, just like our females.
