Tank Page 4

by Trixie Brewster

“Just a warning, I like to chew before I swallow.” I try to find something to say when she smirks and walks off, swaying her hips a little extra. Well fuck me sideways that woman just left me speechless. Maybe my sister was right that I found my match. Finishing up the burgers, my mind was set. I was going to get me a taste of Angie, and nothing was going to stop me.

  Chapter 6

  Angela

Tank’s grilling was better than I would ever tell him. I couldn’t grill for shit. I could bake, though. My mama made sure I could bake and cook over a stove. My dad was in charge of the grilling. There was no way I was telling either of them that Tank’s was better. Then I might have a pissing match on my hands. The thought of Tank and my daddy competing over who had the best grilling talent soured in my stomach. That would never happen could never happen.

I felt eyes on me, when I looked up, I was met with heated blue eyes looking into mine. Tank was ogling me from across the picnic table. I felt my skin get hot as I looked back down at my plate.

“Okay, folks time to cut the cake and find out what my sister is having,” Blaze yelled from where the cake was sitting. The cake was a full sheet of white icing. The color would tell us what Korey was having. I felt so excited on the inside for Korey and Brick. I silently prayed for it to be a girl. I knew that Brick would have his hands full with another girl, she would be a knock out like Sadie was becoming. Plus, it would be fun to watch Brick lose his shit. Don’t get me wrong I liked Brick. He was terrific for Korey and her kids. He was their daddy, no questions asked.

Sadie and Sean were standing between Korey and Brick watching Blaze as he made a show of cutting the cake. It was torture, he was moving in slow motion. “Cut the cake, Blaze.” I heard someone call out. Apparently, it wasn’t just me that was excited about the reveal.

“Fine, Jag, I was just having some fun.” Blaze cuts the cake, and I jump out of my seat. “Yes!! I knew it!” I yelled out as Sean jumped up and down. Sean had told me that he wished for a baby sister that he could protect and love. That boy stole my heart before school even started. The cake was pink on the inside.

Sitting back down, I looked over Tank and saw that sexy smirk on his face. “You bet on a girl or something?” he asked in a low voice.

“Nah, just happy for Sean. He wanted a sister.” I explain. He looks from me to Sean, shocked.

“Huh, he never told me.” He has a hurt look on his face.

“Don’t be butt hurt, you are still his favorite uncle.” There is a look of mischief in his eyes. I roll my eyes at him.

I can hear my name being yelled, and I turn just in time to catch Sean as he launches himself into my arms. “I miss you,” Sean whispers into my neck. I can fell all of the emotions come back from the last day of school. Blinking my eyes several times to get the tears to go back from where they came.

“What? It’s been less than a week since you saw me last.” I try to lighten the mood. The last thing I need is to start balling my eyes out.

“I know, but mama says when you love someone, you miss them before they are gone.” Awe, well shit. Kissing the top of his head, I change the subject.

“So, you are having a little sister.” That changed the whole mood of the little boy in my lap.

“Yes, I knew I would get my wish. I want a sister so bad. I mean, I got one, but I want a baby sister.” I nod my head at him watching him use his hands to tell me how he is going to protect his baby sister. Korey’s unborn baby is lucky, she is going to be protected not just by Sean but by all of these men here. I know without a doubt that she will be a spoiled princess and probably only respond to princess by the time she is old enough to start school.

“What am I chopped liver over here? Gee Sean, when Miss Angie is here, Uncle Tank doesn’t get any hugs?” Tank brings me out of my thoughts, and Sean giggles. I look up and see Tank moved from his spot behind me and is now standing in front of me.

“Well, you may be a favorite uncle, but I am the favorite teacher. So, I get more hugs than you.” I stick my tongue out at him just to add to it.

“Woman.” Tank warns with a smile.

Sean giggles as he looks from me to Tank. “My daddy says that before he kisses my mamma. Uncle Tank, are you gonna make Miss Angie my aunt?” I can feel the blood drain from face as Tank’s face pales with mine. I wouldn’t be surprised if he fell out right there in the yard.

“Sean, I think your uncle Tank needs one of your hugs,” I whisper in his ear. Sean nods his head and runs and jumps into his arms. Tank’s eyes never leave mine. And that is my cue to leave, yep he is off-limits. If he keeps looking at me with that heated stare, I might crumble under my resolve, and I can’t have that.

I barely get out of there without being noticed. As soon as Tank took his eyes off of me, I bolted. Sending Korey, a text that I would see her later. I wanted Tank more than I thought I did. His easy banter that I don’t get from most people, his dreamy eyes, smirking lips, his too hot body.

I hit the steering wheel of my car. “Damn it all to hell,” I yell over the music. I can’t stand that I can’t have what I want. If I am truthful to myself, it isn’t Molly that I am worried about it is my Dad. He would have a fucking fit if I got with Tank, and the whole fucking town of Redding would be burned down with my Dad hot on his heels gunning for his head on a platter. I wish that it was a metaphor. But it wasn’t.

Marc was the last guy I dated. I was a freshman in college. Ivan was still hanging around, keeping an eye on me. Keeping me safe if you will. After a college party that I didn’t even get to attend, both Ivan and Marc disappeared. I knew my dad had something to do with it, I could feel it in my bones. Ever since that night, six fucking years ago, I haven’t had sex or dated, not even a fucking one-night stand. Why? My father, simple. He has told me since day one that no boy or man would ever be good enough for me. I thought he was just talking out of his ass, but with Marc, he proved his point.

I fucking got it. My dad had the resources to make people disappear. I only hoped that for Marc’s sake that he was still alive. But I doubted it, I was pretty sure he was shark food and Ivan, I don’t know why my father felt it necessary to make him disappear. Probably because he let me live a little. I love my father, I really do. But I am still pissed at him deep down. I could get over Marc as bad as it sounds but taking away my childhood friend. The only friend I had growing up, that was just cold. We still talked once a month, but I mainly spoke to mom. Every time we spoke, she was always asking if I found someone. The answer was always the same, no. I figure I can get laid again after my Dad dies, which he will probably outlive me. As it is the only male in my life that is not my father is Sampson, my cat.

  Chapter 7

  Angela

“Daddy, I miss you,” I said as I took the call from my daddy. Yes, I was over twenty-five, and I still called my father daddy. Yes, I may be mad at him for getting in my life, but I was still his little girl.

“Little Darling, how have you been. And I miss you too. How was your first school year?”

“I have been good. It was good, I have some exciting news.”

I could hear him chuckle through the speaker. I missed seeing his smile. “Well, go on.”

“Okay, so Molly is moving back. you remember Molly?” I asked him.

“Of course, how could I forget your best friend through college. How is she?”

“She is doing wonderful; she is moving her law firm in Redding. But I am sure you already knew that.” He let out a full laugh at that.

“Yes, I did. You know I keep tabs on those you care about.”

“I know, daddy. Thank you for that.” I really did like that he made sure Molly was safe as she made a name for herself. It made me feel better that I knew that Molly didn’t run into any trouble.

“So, my baby girl. I have some news as well.” I sat up straight on the couch. I held my breath, waiting for him to give me the news. With my father, I never knew if it was good or bad. Most of the time,
it was terrible. Just go comes with the line of work.

“I found Ivan.” That was not what I expected to hear.

“Daddy, I didn’t know you were looking for him.”

“Yes, well, I um-” He was lying. He knew where he was this whole time. I knew he did because only my father could make someone disappear, then reappear like nothing ever happened.

“Daddy,” I warn him. “What are you not telling me?” I know all about business being business and not to ask. But I have learned how to pull information from my daddy.

“Truth, I didn’t make him leave. He left on his own. Yes, I have known where he was. But I will let him tell you. He plans to visit you soon.”

“Wait, hold the phone. What…Da, I don’t understand.” I am lost, why would Ivan leave me? Did I do something wrong? Why would my only best friend at the time go?

“Angela, stop it. It wasn’t you precisely.” I heard him sigh a tired sigh. “Darling, Ivan was ready to leave us. He wanted to start in a different direction. Can’t say that I blame him. But Darlin’, why is it you don’t date?” I heard my dad’s questions.

“Truth, Daddy. I don’t date because I thought you made Marc disappear.” There was laughter on the other end of the line. I loved my dad’s laugh full of happiness and tenderness. These laughs were few and far between. I wish I could see him in person when he laughed this way, but I would take what I could. For now, it was only phone calls, and it would likely stay that way for a long time.

“No baby girl. I didn’t make that one happen. The only way I will do that is if he hurts you.” My heart soared as I heard his words.

“So, you will let me date?” I all but squealed in his ear.

“Yes, Angela, I want you happy. That is all I want, and your mother wants grandbabies. Not right away, of course.” I snorted as he added that last bit. The first face I see when my eyes closed was Tank’s. Nope not going there, my daddy might allow me to date, but going after the MC life, I know for a fact he wouldn’t let that one go.

“Thank you, daddy,” I tell him because what else do you say when you find out that your dad will leave your dates alone.

“I don’t know why you are thanking me, but you're welcome.” I could hear my mom yell in the background. “Tell her to start dating and find happiness.” I smiled at her words. My mother was always a bit of a romantic, and my dad well, he gave her romance. Dances in the kitchen, flowers every Monday, late-night strolls through the flower garden, once a week date nights and endless kissing. The man may instill fear into people, but he is sweet on my mamma. I wanted that one day, someone who was sweet on me, maybe not the fear factor though.

“Well, I have to go. I will talk to you soon. Love you, my little darlin’.”

  “Love you too, daddy.”

Letting out a sigh, I got up off the couch and made my way to the kitchen. Preparing myself an omelet, my phone gave off a notification. The screen showed it was from Molly. Smiling, I opened the messages.

Molly: ready to raise some hell?

Angie: of course, when and where?

Molly: This weekend, at my brother’s clubhouse

I thought about it for a minute, would he think I was stalking him, I only met him three times, and already I saw him at a strip club the second time. I didn’t want to be that girl.

Angie: I don’t know. I don’t want to be stalkerish.

Molly: lol, really. Omg, you like my brother.

Before I could respond, my phone was ringing in my hands. It was Molly, with a groan I took the call.

“Oh my god, Angie, you like him, don’t you.” She squealed with laughter.

“Seriously, Molly, really. No, I do not. I just met him.”

“He said you were hot.” Wait what.

  “Really?”

“Hah, got you. You do like Tank.” I should have known; Molly had her ways to get what she wanted. She was a damned lawyer, after all.

  “Gah, fine, he is cute.”

“You call that ass face cute? He is a damn giant, not cute.”

I got that they were siblings, but to be honest with myself. Tank was more than cute. He was sex on a stick. Bad boy to the bone, tattoos for days, lip ring, his muscles had muscles what was there not to like. Besides him being pig-headed. He was cute until he opened his mouth. But I couldn’t deny that I wanted the challenge he gave. He didn’t back down when I let my tongue go. He just shot back at me. The bantering was easy and fun.

“Whatever. Anyways, I have other things to do.” I lied, entirely and totally lied. I had nothing to do. There was no way I could see Tank again. My panties wouldn’t last long.

“Fine, I wanted you to meet my girlfriend. But I guess you are too good.”

“Now, hold up a damn minute. If you would have started with, hey Ang want to meet my girlfriend I would have said yes.”

“Even if it was at my brother’s club?”

“Hell yeah, your my sister from another mother.” Molly laughs.

“Yeah, I know. So, will you go.”

I took in a deep breath. I was going to see Molly’s new girlfriend and for no other reason.

“Yeah, Molly, I will be there. Let me know the time and the address.”

Molly squealed in my ear; I pulled the phone away to get away from the high-pitched noise. “Yesss! I know you are going to love her. Love you, Ang. See you this Saturday.”

Laughing at her excitement, “Love you to Molls,” the phone disconnected as I started in on my food. Saturday was almost a week away. I had plenty of time to plan to keep my inner slut at bay. I already had a plan formulating on what I would wear, something that would cover everything up and leave plenty for the imagination. I needed to get Tank out of my head. That man was trouble.

  Chapter 8

  Tank

Damn, I needed to get laid, Angela has been on my mind for a while, and I needed to focus. Hell, I haven’t even wanted another woman. The sweet butt’s just won’t do anymore. We are making our monthly run to Reno today. The last thing I need is having my mind wander somewhere it doesn’t need to be. But damn if that little red-headed woman was not floating around in my head. That woman was something else. For every statement I made to shock her, she was throwing them back. Plus, she was short, she would do nicely for me. I just knew she was going to be a spitfire. I was planning on getting her to my bed and soon. My dick was already getting hard thinking about what I wanted to do to her.

“You good, Tank?” Blaze slapped me on the back.

“Yeah, all good, ready to get this done an’ get back.” Blaze nodded his head. Blaze was a good man and made one hell of a VP. Brick looked back at me as he climbed on his bike. We had the prospect and Diesel in the cage. Diesel would keep an eye out for any threats using his technology guru. Making sure that the cops stayed out of our way. Stink had already given us the route we would be taking. Brick gave the signal, and we all started our bikes and rolled out in formation.

The ride there gave more time to think about how I planned on getting Angie. She was going to be mine and soon. That woman had me intrigued, she played the good girl act pretty good being a teacher. But everyone knew that Librarians and Teachers were the freaks when it came to sex. The thought of her pink lips wrapped around my dick brought a smile to my face. She could run that smart mouth of hers, but she would be mine before the week was over.

We pulled up the seemingly abandoned warehouse in Reno. Jag and I checked out the empty building before going inside. We never knew if there would be a threat. Better safe than sorry. “Clear,” Jag yelled out from the inside of the building on his side. I checked behind the crates. “Clear,” I yelled back.

As we got the cage rolled in and were unloading, I smiled when I heard an engine off in the distance. Our middleman, Brogue, was coming. He was a sketchy mother fucker who was always worried about being found. Brick and Brogue talked for a few as we unloaded the guns. After we unloaded the guns, we got our money and put the rubber to the road and got b
ack home.

Brick called church when we got back. “Alright, fuckers, settle down.” Brick’s booming voice reached us, and the chatter died down. “Listen up today was a good day. We got the Irish’s guns out and sold. Money in the coffers.” The cheers went around, and hands slamming on the table. Brick’s hand went up, and everyone stopped to listen to the President.

“Evan called me when we got back.” Brick took a moment before he continued. I could tell whatever he had to say was going to be wrong. The look and the way his body was tense told me all I needed to know. “The Cartel is moving back in. They made a play at him the other day.”

“What the hell does that have to do with us?” Jag roared, standing up.

“Sit down, Jag.” Brick told Jag in a low voice. Jag nodded his head and took his seat.

“Some of you were not here when this shit went down all those years ago. But the Cartel had gone after Evan’s daughter. Got her to, but we were at the ready to take her back. Now that the Cartel is back, they may have a hard-on for us as well as Evan.” Brick locked eyes with each member. “Diesel need some intel on who we are looking for.” Brick nodded to Diesel.

  “Got it, Prez.”

“Jag going to need security beefed up to all homes and businesses.” Jag nodded is head.

“Tank, I need you to keep an eye out. Keep an inventory of all the firearms and be ready at a moment's notice.” I knew it was my job, but I nodded my head anyway.

“Everyone else let your Ol’ Ladies know they won’t be going out alone for a while. Keep an eye on your kids and family, and no one rides alone.” Brick had a grim expression on his face. I knew he was thinking about his Ol’ Lady Korey, her condition being five months pregnant and his newly adopted kids. It had to be tearing him up that this shit was happening. After losing her for a few hours to the hands of the Grimm’s last year. We all knew his mind was reeling thinking about what was happening. This was why I didn’t want an Ol’ Lady. Always worried if she was safe and don’t get me started on bringing kids into the fold.
