A second note to my Dear Readers:
This third and last chapter marks the conclusion of the tale of Georgette Winnipeg. It was some time in the making, but I was encouraged by such a passionate response from fans, and by such ardent threats from the editors at Cottage Lass Today, International Edition, that I was at last able to regain the inspiration needed to write an appropriate ending for this epic tale of love, loss, romance and miniature golf.
I would like to send out a special thank-you to Miss Iphigenia Swoon for her tireless input into the creative process and for her presumed respect of the current restraining order which names - I must remind her again - myself as well as the editors at Cottage Lass Today, International Edition. While we are touching upon that delicate topic, I offer my sincere apologies for the recent incident, and my hopes that Miss Swoon suffered no lasting ill effects from the taser utilized by the deputy named in the subsequent deposition. I and the editors at CLT, International Edition trust that Miss Swoon will note that her hopes for Georgette have been realized and that as a result there is no need for further contact with the author, his editors, or their families, and that in actual and legal fact, such contact would violate the conditions of the afore mentioned restraining order.
And so Dear Readers, please enjoy this last chapter of Dirk Rapier’s A Hole in One, and as always, feel free to send letters, cards or comments to me (care of the electronic address of my friend and aid, R. C. Barajas, who, as always, acts on my behalf) and I shall attempt to personally answer each and every letter that finds its way to me. (Miss Swoon, this is by no means a cessation of the court-mandated order – please do not take it as such).
