She smiled. “I’ve already forgiven you a long while ago.”
Atilio felt his heart lighten up as her words pierced through his chest and straight to his heart.
“Thank you. I don’t deserve it.”
She patted her arms. “None of us do, but Dios El Padre, gives us forgiveness anyway. Lifting up on her tiny feet, she kissed him on the cheek. “I’ve forgiven you. After all, if it wasn’t for what you did, I wouldn’t have happened to become a bride for Valentin”
