She continuously fucked him sensually, sending him a loud message. Her sex-game was on point, and if he wanted to keep that around he’d have to stay on his P’s and Q’s. Because undoubtedly there was pussy everywhere, but this was indisputably the place to be.
***
Jaylen pulled up to a two-story mini mansion, and both Rye and Konya were impressed. The home was bigger than anyone’s they personally knew, including Tori and his family. Then nothing but luxury vehicles lined the streets, indicating that everyone associated had money.
Rye smiled. “This is nice.”
He glanced her way, helplessly admiring her features. Her bushy/curly sew-in had been dyed different hues of brown and blonde and looked exquisite next to her caramel complexion. She’d placed a side part in her hair, which had a portion of the hair falling into her face, providing an asymmetrical curly bang. Her clothes were simple, yet fashionable, as she rocked a white cropped top, white distressed jeans, along with a Louie fanny pack, and cute Louie sneakers.
“Come on, let’s get out,” he offered, before sliding out of the car.
Konya eased out of the backseat, donning a simple white fitted dress along with gold scandals. Rye had curled her weave to perfection and helped apply her make-up. So, she was confident as they sauntered up the driveway of the enormous home.
Keeping it simple as well, Jaylen opted to sport a white t-shirt, a wife beater underneath, along with straight fit cut-off denim True Religion shorts, and white Louie sneakers. Rye found herself watching his bowlegs smoothly travel through the yard. Cutting through the yard, he led them to the side of the house, which was clearly a short-cut to the backyard.
Opening the fence, they stepped into the yard, hearing the loud music pump from the deejay’s huge speakers.
“You make me happy. This you can bet. You stood right beside me, and I won’t forget. And I really love you. You should know. I wanna make sure I’m right, girl. Before I let go…”
“Hey, they’re jamming,” Konya groovily snapped her fingers.
Rye nodded her head to the beat, as she glanced around. The scene was definitely lively. People of all ages were there, and weren’t the least bit shy. There was a sparkling pool out there, and several people were swimming, while others either ate or danced to the music. Smoked barbeque aromas floated through the air, as two huge smoked pits were going. Then there was a huge spread of food on tables buffet style with seafood, ranging from crawfish to king crabs. There was also a full bar at everyone’s disposal, as well as a bartender who was serving up the complimentary drinks.
Glancing around, Rye spotted Jhyrah and smiled. It had been a while, since she lived out in L.A., but it was good to see her. Baby girl was bringing the heat in a bikini top that crisscrossed down her stomach along with a pair of denim distressed booty shorts. Her ghetto booty was evident in the ensemble, as she rotated her hips, bopping to the music.
Jaylen shook his head, as he watched his cousin make her way over to Jeremy, who was sitting in a patio chair. Boldly, she sat in his lap, before grinding into him to the beat.
Rye giggled as Jhyrah sassily swung her hair around, while working her hips on her boyfriend.
“Aww, hell nawl!” someone blurted, diverting their attention.
Rye caught a glimpse of the man shouting, and had to do a double take. For a second, she thought that she was peering at Jahrein Junior, but his voice sounded deeper. More seasoned. That’s when she noticed Jah Junior standing a few feet away from that man. “The fuck?” she mumbled to herself.
“Nah, get your ass up, girl,” the man commanded, stomping over to Jhyrah. “You done lost your mind,” he chided, as he literally pulled her out of Jeremy’s grasp. “Don’t be sitting in this man’s lap.”
Some deep-caramel toned chick switched over to them. She was beautiful and had a body out of this world. Wearing a cute two-piece Burberry bathing suit, she was killing it. She wore an infectious smile on her face, as she laughed uncontrollably. “Yes, daughter. Give that nigga a dose. A strong damn dose. The female version of Jahrein. Just as wild as she wanna be. Gone drive his ass crazy.”
The dude frowned. “Raven, that shit aint funny.”
“Oh, yes, it is.”
He waved her off, before focusing on Jeremy. “And, nigga, you know better. Why you had her sitting in your lap like that?”
Jeremy placed up both hands in surrender. “That was her. You know she don’t listen.”
“Ooh, forget all that,” Raven waved off. “Come on, Jhyrah. Let’s throw it in a circle.” She grabbed her knees, and bounced her ass, before the bossy man rushed her.
“Man, stop fucking playing with me.” he drove her back towards the house.
Rye tittered. “Who are they?”
Jaylen shook his head, as he grinned. “That’s Jahrein and Jhyrah’s momma and daddy.”
Rye’s mouth dropped. “No. You bullshitting.”
“Nah, that’s my Auntie Raven and Uncle Jahrein. Nobody ever believes me at first when I say that shit. They look too young…but shit, they’re just in their thirties, anyway.”
“Wow,” Rye uttered in sheer amazement. Little Jahrein and Jhyrah’s parents clearly didn’t appear old enough to have adult children, and definitely looked to be still in their baby making stages in life.
“Wait, is that my girl over there?” Jhyrah quizzed, as she spotted Rye.
Rye giddily waved, before Jhyrah jogged over.
“Hey,” Jhyrah sang, as she hugged her tightly.
“What’s up, girl?” Rye questioned, as they released one another.
“Nothing much. Just living, you know,” Jhyrah answered, before glancing Konya’s way.
“Oh, Jhyrah, this is Rye’s mama,” Jaylen introduced.
Jhyrah sweetly gave Konya a hug as well. “How are you?”
“Fine,” Konya replied, liking her energy.
“That’s good,” Jhyrah cheesed, before Jeremy called her name. “Hey, I’ll be right back, yall,” she promised, before ambling back over to her boo.
Konya scanned the crowd, before her stomach did back flips. Off in the corner of the huge yard, she’d spotted a familiar face.
“Come on,” Jaylen unconsciously grabbed Rye’s hand, as he guided her around the yard, introducing her to everyone.
Rye gulped, as they stepped over to a group of guys. One face stood out in the crowd. It was her old dip, who she had programmed in her phone as the Big Green Eyed Monster Dick.
“Oh, shit, that nigga went and pulled Ms. Bougie, after he talked all that shit about her,” Jaylen’s cousin Terio spoke up.
Jaylen chuckled. “I knew your bitch ass wasn’t gonna let me make it.”
Terio smiled. “Not at all.”
“Yeah, anyway,” Jaylen licked his lips.
Before he could say anything else, they were interrupted. “Jaylen, I was beginning to think that you wasn’t coming.”
Jaylen lifted his head. “What’s up, Roz?” he gave her a hug. “You know I couldn’t pass up on a opportunity to eat some of your food.” He released her.
Roz smiled warmly, as Rye looked on curiously. From previous conversations, she knew that the woman was Jaylen’s pawpaw’s woman. And once again, the lady didn’t look old enough to be anybody’s grandma. She possessed sultry hazel eyes, and a cornbread fed frame.
Glancing to her left, Rye realized that her mama had become mixed into the crowd. Shaking her head, she focused on the people who stood before her.
“Who’s your friend, Jaylen?” Roz questioned.
Jaylen cleared his throat. “Everybody, this is my baby, Rye. Rye, this is everybody.”
“What’s up?” the fellas spoke simultaneously.
“Hello, Rye,” Roz spoke. “Are you hungry?”
Rye grinned. “I can eat.”
“Well, help yourself, baby. There’s plenty to go around.”
“I sure will. Thank you.”
Roz nodded. “Good. Well, yall, excuse me. I gotta go gr
ab another drink.” She twisted off.
Rye gazed in the distance, not wanting to make eye contact with her old piece of game. He was still as handsome as ever with those piercing green eyes of his. But she had Jaylen now, who was equally handsome, and she didn’t want him thinking that she got around. Therefore, she could only pray that ole boy wasn’t the type to kiss and tell.
Mr. Green Eyes’ friend smirked, recognizing her face. “You tryna act brand new, huh? Acting like you don’t remember us.”
Rye rolled her eyes. “Big Block, I spoke, just like you spoke.”
Jaylen furrowed his brows. “Where yall know each other from?”
Big Block cut his eyes at his boy. “Ask Wale.”
Jaylen focused on Wale’s face. “How you know her, Wale?”
Before Green Eyes better known as Wale could open his mouth, he felt someone shove past him.
“Uh-uh, you playing with me, right now! What the fuck is this bitch doing here, Corinthian?!”
Wale shook his head, hearing his government name shouted out. “Keyasia, don’t start that shit. That girl came here with Jaylen---”
Keyasia glared at him. “You think I’m stupid? This is the same bitch who was shaking her titties in the phone, and now she so-call shows up with Jaylen?” she used her fingers to make quotation marks. “This nigga never brings hoes around.”
Rye angrily slid her tongue across her teeth. “Now, wait a minute. Hold up. Who the fuck are you talking about?”
Meanwhile, across the yard, Konya finally saw an opening to approach the blast from her past. So, she stepped to him, as he stood off to the side, talking on his cell. Wanting his attention, she tapped his shoulder. He turned to lock eyes with her.
“What’s up?” he enquired.
She smiled meekly. “You remember me?”
He tucked his lips into his mouth, causing his deep dimples to sink into his cheeks. “Yeah, what’s up?”
She sighed heavily. “This is well overdue. We really need to talk.”
“What the hell is going on over here?” Roz growled, as she stomped over to them. “Ray-Ray, I know you aint fucking playing with me today!”
“What?” he confusingly opened his arms. “I didn’t do nothing. She just walked over to me out of nowhere.”
Roz gave Konya the death stare. “Wait a minute. I know this bitch.” She pointed. “This the hoe I beat down years ago.” She focused on Ray-Ray again. “And how the fuck did she end up in my fucking yard?”
Ray-Ray hunched his shoulders. “The hell if I know.”
Konya placed up a hand. “Look, I’m not trying to stir up any confusion. I came here with my daughter over there.” She pointed.
All three of them glanced over at Rye.
“Key, chill out!” Wale barked, as he tried his best to control an irate Keyasia.
“Bitch, who you supposed to be?!” Rye shouted, as Jaylen stood in front of her, pushing her back.
“Say, don’t do this. Not here,” Jaylen insisted. “Let’s just go back to the car.”
“No, fuck this hoe!” Rye fumed, shoving his hands away from her.
“Let me go,” Keyasia growled, managing to race around Wale. Then while Jaylen’s back was to her, she reached around him, gripping Rye’s hair.
“Key!” Jhyrah shouted, realizing that her crazy cousin was attacking Rye. Thinking that Keyasia must’ve been drunk or something, Jhyrah raced over. “Girl, you tripping.” She attempted to pry Key’s hands out of Rye’s weave.
“Move, Jhyrah!” Keyasia belted, as she yanked the hell out of Rye’s hair, forcing Jaylen out of the way, as he scrambled to get a handle on things.
With her head being pulled down, Rye was at a disadvantage, as she swung, hitting Keyasia in the mouth.
Konya frowned, as she witnessed her child being drug to the ground. Without thinking, she sprinted over. Going into protection mode, she attempted to pull Keyasia off Rye as they fell to the ground. Unfortunately, before she was able to do anything, someone decked her, knocking her off her feet.
“Nah, bitch. You aint touching my grandbaby,” Roz fumed, as she straddled Konya.
Refusing to let a bitch hoe her, Rye gripped Keyasia’s weave, and pounded into her face, as Key sat on top of her.
While Jhyrah, Jaylen, and Wale struggled to break up the fight, Roz and Konya went at it. By this time, the entire party had come to a halt, as everyone scampered over, trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
Jhyrah’s mama, Raven, and her sister Raquel, Keyasia’s mama, stood in confusion for a few seconds. They’d been told that Keyasia was fighting, but was having trouble deciphering her from the other chick. They were practically the same complexion and build. It eventually dawned on Raquel that her daughter was the one in the bathing suit, while the other girl wore white pants.
Crazily, Rye and Keyasia rolled around on the ground, refusing to let each other go. Desperately, Wale gripped Keyasia’s hand, attempting to pry Rye’s hair out of her hand.
“Move, Corinthian!” Key seethed. “I told this bitch that it was on sight!”
“Shut up, hoe!” Rye raged, as she punched Keyasia in the mouth, causing most of her family to cringe.
Keyasia rebutted with a mean slug of her own.
“Okay,” Ray-Ray stomped over, practically shoving both Jaylen and Wale out of the way. “Yall break this shit up!” his voice boomed, as lifted Keyasia off Rye. Keyasia swung wildly, as Ray carried her away from Rye. “Key, chill the fuck out!” he lashed, causing her to instantly simmer down. “Say, Raquel, get your mama, main. Tell her fool ass that she’s too old for this bullshit.”
Raquel shook her head, as she pulled her mama off Konya.
Roz was still amped up. “Both of you bitches get the fuck from around here, before I turn on the water hose!”
Jaylen briefly closed his eyes, as he held his forehead.
Roz zeroed in on him. “And Jaylen, what type of bullshit are you on? Why would you bring these bitches to my house?!”
“What?” Jaylen opened his arms. “I didn’t know.”
Konya staggered a bit, after climbing to her feet. Rye was already standing and was trying to make sure that she hadn’t dropped anything on the ground.
“Let me tell you something,” Konya spoke up. “Jaylen didn’t do anything. And neither did my daughter. I don’t know why this broad felt that it was cool to jump on my child.”
“That broad is my grandchild, and if she attacked your daughter, then I’m sure she had her reasons,” Roz snapped.
Konya’s nostrils flared as she shook her head. “Oh, I doubt that. And this is really fucked up. Once again you let this shit happen on your watch, Ray-Ray!”
Rye’s heart plummeted down to her stomach hearing that name. Momentarily, she was stuck, as she stood frozen stiff.
Roz narrowed her eyes. “What the fuck is that supposed to mean? You still fucking him, after all these years, you conniving hoe?”
Ray-Ray immediately shook his head. “Man, I haven’t touched this woman in over twenty years, Rosalind. You tripping.”
“It’s been twenty-one years,” Konya readily corrected, as everyone looked on with their mouths wide open. “And the only reason I approached you over there was to talk to you about your daughter. She’s probably screwing her own cousin because your sorry ass never questioned why I kept running up on you with a baby on my hip, who looks just like you.”
“What?” Ray-Ray frowned in confusion.
“My daughter. She’s yours!” Konya blasted.
“Man,” Jaylen dragged out, as he drug a palm down his face. “This some soap opera bullshit going on out here, main.”
Rye held her stomach, feeling sick. Had she’d been sleeping with her own cousin?
Jhyrah shook her head. “This is crazy, but don’t worry, Rye. You and Jaylen aint related, because Jaylen is not biologically related to Ray-Ray. It’s too much to explain, right now. But just know that he aint related to you.”
With her chest heaving up and down, Rye found her voice. “Ma…let’s go.”
“Yeah, I think it’s best that yall go,” Raven spoke up. “But we’ll be in touch.”
Raquel cut her eyes at her sister, as she discreetly elbowed her.
“What?” Raven questioned, as her eyes wandered around. “We will be in touch. Shit, she got that look. I say we need Dana, cause I can barely tell her apart from Key.”
Raquel shook her head. “This shit crazy. You see them dimples?”
Raven bucked her eyes. “Yep.”
Jaylen scratched the back of his head. “Yeah, let’s go.”
With all eyes on her, Rye ambled towards the side gate with dirt all over her white clothes.
Ray-Ray stood watching Jaylen, Rye, and Konya vacate the premises, as something settled in his chest. His stomach did somersaults, as he came to terms with something deep within him that told him exactly what this was.
Chapter 16
“I can’t believe that my grown ass was out there on the ground fighting,” Konya mumbled to herself, as she sat in Jaylen’s backseat. “This gotta be the twilight zone, cause this aint me.”
Jaylen gripped the steering wheel of his car, as he coasted down the freeway, without saying a word.
Rye rolled her eyes, as she listened to her mama talk to herself. “Ma, why would you blurt that out like that?”
Konya paused. “Come again.”
Rye strained to look into the backseat. “I’m asking why you’d do that? What was going through your head? Did you think that this was cool?”
Konya licked her lips. “It was never my intentions to embarrass you, baby. This went completely different in my head. And I definitely wasn’t anticipating the same broad from years ago to be there. That’s the same baby mama I fought years back. I thought that he was with another woman…some light skinned slim chick.”
Jaylen stared straight ahead. “You talking about my granny, Red.”
Konya snapped her fingers. “Yeah, Red. That’s her name…wait, so how were you over there at the other lady’s house, if Red’s your grandma?”
He sucked his teeth, seeming annoyed by the question. “Ray-Ray is the only pawpaw I know. He’s been around since I can remember. Plus, years ago, when he got with my grandma, he eventually moved his daughter into her house. Her name is Raven. Raven and Red’s son, Jahrein, who is my uncle, started messing around, and eventually had my lil’ cousin Jahrein Junior. That means that Ray-Ray is biologically related to my cousins through his daughter. But he treats us all the same. We family. Period. Which means that nothing stops, even when he aint with my grandma. What Ray-Ray, my grandma, and Roz got going on aint none of my business. I’ve been knowing Roz since I was a little boy, and she’s always been in the picture. She’s basically my grandma too. And it’s been established amongst us that we don’t get involved in their drama. Ray-Ray is with Roz now, and that’s respected. I can pull up or come and go like any of her other grandkids. That’s how we are.”
