by Cree Storm

Just as York was about to reach Timmy, an arrow flew into the air and lodged into his nugget’s side. York saw red as he screamed, "No!"

York shifted as he ran, taking to the sky, and grabbing the man that had harmed his mate by the shoulders. This evil fucker had hurt his mate! The fairy screamed as York tossed him into the air like a doll and caught him by his feet. The man wiggled and squirmed but York was not about to let the son of a bitch go. Then again──opening his large claws, the fairy started falling only to have York soar down and grab him once more, imbedding his claws into the fucker’s abdomen and face, gripping the bastard as hard as he could. Needing to get to his mate, York tore the prick in half and dropped him to the ground. Quickly making his way to Timmy, York shifted and ran to where Twix held a blood-soaked cloth to his nugget's shoulder. “He's going to be alright. We need to get him to the doctor so he can remove the arrow and Timmy can shift and heal.”

Picking his mate up and placing him into his lap, York felt tears falling from his eyes as he said, "Nugget, what were you thinking?"

Timmy opened his eyes rasping in pain, "They were going to hurt my best friend. I couldn't let them do that. Friends don't let friends get hurt if they can help it."

Letting the tears fall, York whispered, "No, I guess you don't."

"I need to tell Ollie, his sunglass idea worked," Timmy softly said as his eyes started to close.

"The portal is gone. Whoever isn't dead is running for the hills," Ollie said sounding exhausted.

"Timmy! Timmy! Are you alright?" Pascal asked in a panic.

Slowly Timmy opened his eyes, "I──"

The second his mate passed out York felt pure terror. Twix whispered, "York, he just passed out from the pain. We need to get him to Doc Rob."

York stood with Timmy in his arms. Shifting, York took to the sky and raced to the hospital with his nugget as fast as his wings would carry him. If Timmy died, York knew there would be no reason for him to live a moment longer.

  CHAPTER 13

"Nugget, why are you not talking to me?" York asked as they drove down a dirt road.

Timmy rarely got upset, but York had hurt his feelings this morning and didn't even know it, which made his feelings hurt even more.

"Okay, I am sorry I let Ollie watch your nest while you healed. I should have remembered them and brought them home with us as soon as the doctor released you. In my defense, I was beside myself with worry at you being hurt.”

Timmy turned and aimed his best angry look at York. When he saw his mate's lip twitch, he knew that York was not taking his anger seriously. "He threatened to scramble and eat my babies."

York turned from Timmy and coughed. Timmy leered at his mate. "Are you laughing? You are?! You're laughing! You might be as big a butt as Ollie."

York pulled over, and undid his seatbelt.

Timmy scooted closer to the door of the truck as York tried to get closer to him. "Pascal said I could get angry at you, even if you're my mate."

"Uh huh," York replied as he leaned in and nibbled Timmy's earlobe. Goose pimples formed all over Timmy's skin and he wanted to melt.

No, Timmy! Stay strong! Stay firm! Oh, he was firm alright. His firm was starting to push on his zipper as York kissed and nibbled his shoulder and neck.

His voice was a little huskier as he said, "Pascal said that I had a right to be upset at you for not being at the hospital when I woke up."

York stopped between nibbles. "I told you, I had something to do and I didn't expect it to take so long,” York said, then started suckling on Timmy's neck.

Timmy drew in a sharp breath and started breathing heavier. His anger was slipping. He could feel it. Well, almost feel it. It was kinda hard to feel anything but York's lips and hands. "Wha──what are you do──doing? I'm angry with you."

"Trying to make it up to you," York said, undoing Timmy's seat belt and turning Timmy to face him on the bench seat of the truck.

Timmy moaned into York's mouth as his mate took hold of his lips and started tongue dancing with him and undoing Timmy's pants. Once he withdrew his mouth from Timmy's, Timmy muttered, "Doctor Rob said n──no sex for two days."

York pulled off Timmy's pants. He licked his lips, saying, "Actually, he said no making babies. However, that was two days ago and before we left he said I could "do the laundry" if I wanted to, and boy, do I want to."

Timmy squirmed in the bench seat as York opened his car door then said, "Too exposed. Hold that thought."

Timmy was not prepared when York closed his door and opened Timmy's side, picked him up and placed him close to the opening, licking his lips once more, saying, "Now, where were we?"

"Talking about how you need to wash clothes. Although, I don't see what that has to do with this situation, Yorkie," Timmy replied.

"Let me show you," York answered.

"Wait! I'm supposed to be angry with you," Timmy said almost desperately.

"Did Pascal tell you about make up sex?" York asked.

Nodding, Timmy replied, "He said it was okay to get mad at you because make up sex is supposed to be the bomb."

Smiling wide, York replied, "Well, if you weren't mad at me any more I can show you he was right."

Timmy raised a brow and bent his legs, taking his hard shaft in hand. York whimpered and if Timmy wasn't mistaken, the man was drooling. He looked so cute, like a puppy waiting for a treat. Timmy liked puppies.

York made a funny sound before saying, "Timmy, you're killing me here. I'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. I wanted to be. I really, really did, but something came up and took longer than I thought. I did make sure Illan and Orion were there though, right? I swear, I will make it up to you."

"With makeup sex?" Timmy asked skeptically.

"Gods, yes," York said in a deep, gravely, need filled voice.

Smiling, Timmy gave a sharp nod. "Okay. I'm not mad anymore."

York moved Timmy's hand and took Timmy's shaft down his throat in one swoop. Timmy yipped and lifted his hips, but York was not about to let go as he grasped Timmy's hips and raised his bottom off the truck bench, raising and lowering his head. Just as Timmy was getting into this, York pulled off Timmy's cock and opened the glove box, muttering, "Don't have time for all this. Everyone is going to kill me already."

There was no time for questions as York uncapped a bottle of lube and placed some on his fingers, immediately adding one, then two fingers to Timmy's hole.

  "Oh! Oh! Yorkie!" Timmy panted.

York stroked Timmy's hole, loosening the way and soon was adding a third finger. The need in Yorkie's eyes was there, full, sharp, and making Timmy just as wanton.

A third finger was quickly added as York rasped, "Must have you. Too long. Need now."

The he-man talk had Timmy wanting what the look and sound of his mate promised. "Yes! Now! Yes, Yorkie!"

York had Timmy yelping when he pulled his fingers from Timmy's loosened hole and flipped him onto his tummy, pulling Timmy so he was hanging out of the door opening. The tip of York's cock started pushing into his channel.

"Need. Gods, I need you, nugget," York rasped, pushing in further.

The tiny pinch of pain was quickly gone when York passed the ring of muscles to his channel and slid the rest of the way in. Timmy loved the fullness he felt with his mate. He loved how connected he was to York with each push and pull of his man. Claws dug into Timmy, telling him that York had lost control in this coupling and was acting on love and instinct right now.

"Feel, so good, Nugget! Nugget!" York panted as his hips thrust forward, slamming deeper and deeper into Timmy's chute.

York moved Timmy's hips up just slightly and the next thrust had Timmy shouting, "Oh, Yorkie! Yes! There! There! There!"

York had found that spongy gland and Timmy felt his balls rising and knew that he was going to come any second. Thank the God's, Yorkie felt the same way. "I'm gonna come, nugget! Can’t last! Come with me, now!"

  Timmy felt York's l
arge teeth in the side of his neck at the same time seed shot out of his own penis and onto the seat below. He then realized that seed was oozing from his hole and down his legs as York continued to push in and out of him. Slowly removing his teeth, rasping, "Yes! Yes! Mine. All mine."

York moved Timmy further onto the seat, causing his softening cock to slip from Timmy's hole.

"Umph. Be careful, you'll crush my nest," Timmy muttered.

"Shit!” York quickly pulled back. Timmy did his best to sit up, just as York was zipping his pants. "Watch your leg, nugget."

"York, what's going on?" Timmy asked as York ran around the front of the truck.

Jumping into the driver's seat, York said, "Baby, I'm sorry, but we're already late. Fix yourself quickly."

Timmy scrunched his brows and gave York his best perplexed look, but his mate was putting the truck in gear and racing down the road before Timmy even got his pants in hand.

Opening the glove box, Timmy pulled out the baby wipes and cleaned himself as best he could. He had no idea what the heck was going on. York never made love to him without making sure he was clean and taken care of afterwards. Something was up and he wanted to know what.

Before he could ask anything, York pulled onto a long, bumpy road, making pulling up his pants more difficult by the second. When Timmy finally looked up, a large, beautiful house surrounded by fields as far as the eye could see were all around him. A large, beautiful barn sat close to the huge, almost mansion size, ranch house and another barn half the size of the first sat next to that. "This place is beautiful, York."

"I'm really glad you think so," York muttered.

"There are people here," Timmy softly said.

Nodding, York pulled up next to a Ford F150, put his truck into park and shut it off, then quickly jumped out, rushed to Timmy' side, opened the door, and lifted him from the truck.

"Almost forgot," York murmured, leaning into the truck and bringing out Timmy's small nest.

"York, where are we? What's going on?" Timmy asked.

Timmy could sense his mate's unease and it was making Timmy nervous.

"Please, nugget, just trust me, okay?" York asked nervously.

"You're my very heart and soul, Yorkie, of course I trust you," Timmy replied in a whisper.

York stopped and turned to Timmy, bringing him close to his chest, and whispering, "I don't know what I did in my life to have fate grant me such a gift as you, Timmy, but I will forever be thanking her. I love you so much."

Timmy smiled up at his mate's tear-filled eyes, whispering, "Can we go home now? I want to do the nasty."

York burst out laughing at Timmy's use of the good doctor's words from a couple of days ago. He so wanted to do just as his mate asked, but Ollie's voice stopped him from moving. "Don't even think about going at it again. Damn, you two are like energizer bunnies."

"Told you he was a butt," Timmy whispered.

York laughed, whispering back, "Maybe I can freeze his balls off later."

Walking around the house, Timmy was surprised to see everyone in his chimera, Justice, Avery, Day, Ethan, Angelo, Morgan, Jett, Zev, Twix, Rhys, the babies, Toby, Nelson, and some other people he couldn't remember the names of.

"What's going on?" Timmy asked still looking around. "Where's Lonny? I would think if Justice and Avery are here, Lonny would be here, too."

"I'm here, little one. We are all here for you, to help you say goodbye to your little birds," Illan said from behind him.

Timmy looked down at his nest. He didn't want to say goodbye to his babies. It was like giving up on his dream of having his own family.

Illan knelt down and looked at Timmy's nest. "I know it isn't easy saying goodbye, Timmy. When you love someone and they leave or pass, it's always hard. Wishing they were there to be part of your life, that feeling doesn't really end, as much as it fades and returns, like the tides of the oceans. Yet, as time goes by, you discover a few things."

"But they were supposed to be my family," Timmy sniffled.

Illan gave Timmy a small smile. "Look around you, Timmy. You have many, from my clutch, Justice's blaze, Destrain's shimmer, your Chimera, and the most special family of all──your mate. However, it's time for you to say goodbye one last time, and any time you want to visit them, you can always come to this spot. Look at what your friends did for you, Timmy."

Timmy turned around. His chimera separated and behind where they had stood was a small grave and special three tier bird bath with water falling from the rims. "Oh, it's beautiful."

"We thought it would be nice to always have their friends be able to visit so they never feel alone," King Suneth stated with pride.

York ran his hand down Timmy's hair, whispering, "So, are you ready to do this?"

Timmy sniffled and nodded, handing his nest to York, rasping, "Can you do it? I don't think I can."

York bent and kissed his mate, whispering, "Why don't we do this together."

  CHAPTER 14

York stood with his mate close to his side trying to comfort him. He knew that to just about everyone here, this was a crazy ass thing to do, but York didn't give a shit. His mate loved those eggs as if he had laid them himself. His mate’s pain was York's as well. He would do anything to make his nuggets heart not hurt.

When Timmy had been hurt, York thought he would go insane. He loved his little man, and all York could think of was trying to make the horror of what Timmy went through disappear from his mind. It didn't take long to realize what it was he needed to do. So, he had called Illan and told him his plan and Illan had helped York every step of the way, with some great old, and new, friends’ assistance.

Illan cleared his throat and started to speak, "I want to thank everyone for coming today to help our dear friend in his greatest time of need. A loss of a child is heartbreaking and often unfair."

"What's unfair is that we have to wait for this to end before we can eat," Jett muttered softly.

Shaking his head Ollie replied, "What's unfair is we have to bury them when we could have just scrambled them."

York turned to the two jokesters and growled low, Ollie rolled his eyes. "It's better than flushing them down the toilet like a goldfish."

Ozcog and his brothers started making funny sounds. When Timmy turned to his chimera members, each one turned away, some swiping at their eyes as if they had been choked up by Illan's words.

York watched as King Suneth looked at his men and they immediately cleared their throats and turned to listen to Illan speaking.

Timmy sniffled and wiped his eyes as Illan continued. "It might seem silly to some to have a funeral for a nest of eggs. However, to our friend Timmy, these were more than just eggs, they were his confidants, his hope for a brighter future. Their death is as real to him as if it was one of you lying in that grave. Timmy, I have lost those that I love, some in death──" Looking at Day, Illan whispered, "and some in life. It is never easy, but you did the best you could do and the loss of your nest is not your fault. Take comfort that they are with their mother and would want you to move forward. You will never forget what this nest brought to your life, and with your mate and all of us, we will help you heal."

Timmy sniffled and his shoulders began to shake as he cried. York felt his heart breaking with every sound and tear that fell from his mate.

Illan looked around, saying, "Maybe some of your friends should say a few words. Jett, come up here."

Jett waved his hand looking around. "Oh no, I couldn't."

"Oh, but I insist. I know that you have something you can say at such a moment for your friend," Illan replied with a raised brow.

York could hear the alpha order in their leader’s tone and Jett could no more ignore it than York could had Illan called upon him.

Jett looked around. "Yeah, though we walk through the shadow of the unhatched I shall feel no──uh──well, these are birds, so maybe since they would have flown around and stuff. I should say──uh──we fly in the shado
w instead. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, though we fly through the shadow of the unhatched, I shall not want to eat them. Their rod and staff―" Jett looked at Illan. "Okay, do bird eggs even have rods and staffs? I mean, they were babies, so is that kind of inappropriate, don't you think?"

Illan pursed his lips in an angry warning, causing Jett to look at Ollie. "You know, Ol, you might do better than I am. I'm just so touched by all this and words are strangely not coming to me."

Ollie shook his head. "Oh no, you're doing fine."

"But you were saying such wonderful words a few minutes ago. I'm sure Timmy would love to hear some of them," Jett insisted with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

Timmy nodded, dabbed at his eyes, rasping, "I would love to hear what you have to say about my nest, Ollie."

York looked at Ollie, letting his dragon’s rumble talk for him. Ollie swallowed hard, quickly saying, "Okay──sure──um──yeah──just give me a second."

Juddan, Nuzan, and Asbuth started coughing and turning their heads. Their shoulders were shaking and Juddan was wiping at his eyes. Timmy whispered, "I didn't know they cared so much."

York squeezed his nugget's shoulders as he elbowed Nuzan and flashed his dragon eyes enough for the gargoyle to take the hint.

Nuzan smacked Juddan and the men did their best to get serious once more.

Ollie took a deep breath, clasped his hands together, and started to speak. "Our dear friend's eggs have fried──I mean died──umm── and we whisk──I mean wish! We wish that things could have been different. Umm──Oh! Let us have a moment of silence."

Everyone bowed their heads. York could see shoulders shaking and knew they were laughing, while others were doing their best to keep a straight face. However, his nugget was sniffling and wiping his eyes. York placed the nest in the hole that had been dug, then used his hands to move the dirt back into place, coving the nest.

Illan finally said, "Thank you all for coming, and now we have some other unfinished business. Everyone go to the right front of the house."
