The white cobra was about three meters in length and its body was as wide as a barrel. They could not eat that much in one meal, so they divided the leftovers.

Tang Hao took the most. He kept it all in his pocket dimension.

He was not planning to keep it all to himself. He would give some to Grandpa and Grandma in Dragonrock Village so that they would be healthier.

Half an hour later, a military truck drove into the village.

A few soldiers dressed in bulletproof gear got out of the truck while carrying a big steel chest.

The steel chest was opened. Inside it was stalks of medicinal herbs. There were a total of ten portions.

Tang Hao was quite surprised. They could gather ten portions of herbs and deliver them in such a short amount of time. It was clear to him that the Agency was quite influential.

They brought the chest into the tent.

After the soldiers left, Tang Hao sat down and prepared to start refining pills.

The Antidote Pill was a lot easier to make than the Pill of Everlasting Beauty. With that many ingredients, Tang Hao was not too worried either.

The first two attempts ended in failure, but Tang Hao succeeded on the third attempt.

Tang Hao grinned as he beheld the dark green pill in his palm.

With the pill, the villagers could be saved.

Tang Hao stepped out of the tent, and the Taoist masters anxiously crowded around him.

“How is it, Fellow Cultivator Tang?”

Tang Hao opened his palm and showed them the pill.

The Taoist masters breathed a collective sigh of relief.

“Crush the pill in some warm water. When it’s completely dissolved, feed a little water to each of the villagers. You can go do that. I’ll try to make a few more pills.”

Taoist Master Qian Ji took the pill and went off to do what he was told.

Tang Hao returned to the tent to continue the pill-making process.

He succeeded another two times in the remaining seven attempts. He handed the pills to the Taoist masters.

After taking the pill water, the symptoms on the villagers started to recede and they eventually returned to normal.

“This is a miracle!” The Taoist masters exclaimed in admiration. Most of them had witnessed the amazing potency of pills for the very first time.

When the sun rose the next morning, the villagers had completely recovered. The mist in the village had entirely dissipated.

Tang Hao could finally rest at ease.

  Chapter 280 - The Wu Family’s Revenge

The morning sun rose and dispersed the mist.

In Eight-Gate Village, the soldiers removed their hazmat suits. They got on their trucks and prepared to leave.

The villagers have all recovered. They left the quarantine tents one by one and returned to their homes.

“Oh, Fellow Cultivator Tang! It’s all thanks to you this time!” At the village entrance, Taoist Mater Qian Ji said gratefully while grabbing Tang Hao’s hands tightly.

The Taoist masters behind him nodded in agreement.

If not for Fellow Cultivator Tang, there might be no other cure for the villagers.

More than three hundred villagers were saved that night. It was a momentous deed!

“You’ve served your country well this time, Fellow Cultivator Tang. I’ll report your good deeds to the authorities and try to apply for an award for you. Oh, and a silk pennant too,” Taoist Master Qian Ji said eagerly.

Tang Hao’s face stiffened and urgently waved his hands. “I don’t need the silk pennant! We’re not in ancient times anymore!”

“You need to! You need to!” Taoist Master Qian Ji insisted.

  Tang Hao was helpless.

They chatted for a while more before Taoist Master Qian Ji let Tang Hao go.

Tang Hao returned to his car. He turned around to look at the village one last time before leaving.

He drove along the winding mountain road.

Soon, he entered the highway. He increased the speed and drove back toward Provincial City.

He arrived at Provincial City about three hours later.

When he arrived in his residential area, his phone suddenly rang.

Tang Hao saw that the call was from Liu Bingyao. He was about to answer the call when it abruptly stopped.

Tang Hao was a little surprised. The phone had only rung for about five seconds before she ended the call.

He immediately returned the call, but no one picked it up.

“What’s going on?” Tang Hao was intrigued. He suddenly had an ominous feeling.

For a cultivator, the ominous feeling was usually correct.

Tang Hao parked his car outside of the residential area. His expression was grim. He tried calling the number again but no one picked up.

“Don’t tell me… something really happened?”

The ominous feeling became stronger than ever.

His phone rang again a few minutes later. It was from Liu Bingyao. Tang Hao immediately answered it. Before he could speak, he heard a low, hoarse male voice from the other end.

His tone of voice carried a hint of mockery.

“I’ve been looking for you, Tang kid. This chick is in our hands right now… Tsk tsk! She’s a masterpiece, like a divine fairy. You’re so lucky!”

Tang Hao’s expression became extremely dark and sullen.

His hand grabbed the phone a little tighter. His eyes narrowed and flashed with a shocking coldness.

“Unfortunately for you, your lucky streak is coming to an end. You’ve crossed someone that you shouldn’t have. You should know how this ends for you, right?

“If you want the chick to live, then be a good boy, don’t call the police, and come here by yourself. We will be at the abandoned warehouses in the industrial park in the northern countryside of the city.

“If you don’t come, or if you call the police, then you can say goodbye to the chick forever.”

The voice smirked one last time before ending the call abruptly.

Tang Hao’s expression was chillingly scary as he listened to the busy tone on the phone.

‘If you dare lay a finger on the people close to me, prepare to die!’

Tang Hao’s killing intent was rising rapidly.

‘Who could it be? The Wu family? The Lu family? Or that Fang Qiming?”

The Wu and Lu families were the biggest suspects, but it might also be Fang Qiming. Fang Qiming came from a wealthy family. He had the financial capability to hire someone to kidnap Liu Bingyao.

He was deep in thought when he received a call from Teacher Jiang.

“Tang Hao, just now… I think there’s a car following me. I noticed it quite some time ago. Fortunately, I realized it and managed to shake it off. Do you think that it’s someone hired by that Lu Bin?”

  Teacher Jiang still sounded afraid.

Tang Hao’s expression changed. “Where are you now, Teacher Jiang?”

“I’ve just arrived at the university, and I’m hiding in the security post now. I should be fine,” Teacher Jiang said.

“Alright, then you should stay there. Call me immediately if there’s anything. I’m in a little bit of trouble here,” Tang Hao said.

  “Alright!” Teacher Jiang replied.

Tang Hao’s expression became grimmer than ever after the call ended.

If Teacher Jiang was also being targeted, then it must not have been Fang Qiming, but instead either the Wu or Lu family.

Lu Bin and Wu Yulian had been remanded for investigation. Who else could it be then?

Tang Hao pondered for a while, then started his car and sped toward the north of the city.

He was extremely worried and also feeling a little guilty of what he had done.

Liu Bingyao was not carrying a blood jade bead. If her kidnappers had sinister intentions, they would most likely succeed.

That was all caused by him. He would be devastated if any harm came to Liu Bingyao.
/>   He floored the accelerator and unleashed the full power of the jade talismans in the car. The car sped forward like lightning.

He arrived at the industrial park in the northern countryside of the city about six minutes later.

When he arrived there, he noticed three black cars coming in from the opposite junction. In the cars were several burly men.

He furrowed his brows after examining each of them.

The people did not seem like gangsters. They were more intimidating and carried an aura that commanded fear.

  ‘Soldiers!’

The term appeared in Tang Hao’s mind.

Those people must have been ex-soldiers to carry themselves in that imposing manner.

The three cars turned the corner and headed into the industrial park. Tang Hao saw that Liu Bingyao was seated in the second car with duct tape over her mouth.

Next to her was a tall man wearing sunglasses and had a scar on his face.

Tang Hao watched them drive in.

It was rather inconvenient for him to ram his car into theirs. Liu Bingyao was still inside, and they were still on a main road which would attract a lot of attention.

He waited for a minute after the cars went in before he followed behind.

The three cars stopped in front of a warehouse, and the people got out of the cars. The tall and burly men dragged Liu Bingyao out of the car, then pushed her toward the warehouse.

The men ogled at her body and laughed uproariously.

Liu Bingyao’s face was pale. She dared not fight back when she was pushed into the warehouse.

Tang Hao’s expression turned cold. He floored the accelerator and drove the car straight toward the warehouse. At the entrance, he turned the car and rammed at the front door.

Two people were guarding the warehouse entrance. They were stunned when they saw the car suddenly appear in front of them. They did not manage to react in time.

  Bang!

One of the people was sent flying about five meters away. His body was twisted when he landed on the floor and he remained motionless.

The car was moving at an incredibly fast speed. A normal person could not survive the impact.

The people in the warehouse were shocked. They turned around to see, while reflexively pulled out their guns and aimed them at Tang Hao.

They were stunned when they noticed the boy sitting in the car.

‘How could that kid arrive so soon?’

Meanwhile, Liu Bingyao seemed to be happy and relieved when she saw Tang Hao arrive.

Then, she became worried. She shook her head urgently at Tang Hao.

A man with a scar on his face held a gun to Liu Bingyao’s head. Then, he looked at Tang Hao and said viciously, “Get out of the car now, kid. No more tricks from you.”

  Chapter 281

Tang Hao opened the car door and walked out.

The scar-faced man chuckled mockingly and said, “I thought you’d be running away! I didn’t expect you to come here alone… Looks like you’re quite concerned about this chick.

“I can’t blame you though! She’s a real looker. Tsk tsk! Look at her skin, so delicate!”

The scar-faced man stretched out a hand to touch Liu Bingyao’s face.

Liu Bingyao’s eyes opened wide and glared at him with hatred.

The scar-faced man became even happier when he saw her reaction.

“I don’t have anything against you, Tang kid, but you’ve messed with the wrong person. Don’t dream of leaving here alive today!” The scar-faced man smiled coldly.

“As for this chick, she’s not leaving this place alive as well. Don’t worry, we’ll take good care of her and make sure she enjoys her time before she dies!”

Then, his smile flashed with a hint of perversion.

  The other men also laughed.

“Let me do it, Big Brother. I want to avenge Monkey!” A burly man stood out from the crowd. He glared resentfully at Tang Hao.

The ‘Monkey’ that he mentioned was the person who had been killed by Tang Hao’s car.

“You filthy kid, you dare kill one of our brothers? I’ll flay you, then cut off your flesh piece by piece.” The burly man said viciously as he stepped forward.

Liu Bingyao’s face turned ghastly pale when she heard that. She wanted to scream but her mouth was gagged, and so she could only make muffled wails.

  Tang Hao stood there, unmoved.

His expression was as cold as an ancient glacier.

“Get over here, you filthy kid!” The burly man roared. With his right hand, he pointed a gun at Tang Hao’s head, while he reached to grab Tang Hao’s shirt collar with his left.

  Tang Hao remained standing.

When the hand was almost on his collar, his eyes suddenly opened wide and flashed with a shocking sharpness. Then, his hands reached out as fast as lightning, grabbed that hand, and twisted it.

“Ah!” The burly man screamed in agony. His face was contorted in pain.

His eyes were opened with and were brimming with panic.

Then, he became furious. In a fit of rage, he prepared to shoot his gun.

Tang Hao lifted his left arm and flicked his wrist. A silver gleam flashed, and a short sword made of silver appeared in his hand.

He slashed with an upward arc. The sharp sword tip drew a line across the man’s neck, and blood gushed out like a fountain.

The burly man was shocked. His eyes stared straight at Tang Hao, filled with fear and incredulity.

The gun dropped on the floor. The burly man stumbled backward.

His hands were pressed on his neck, trying to stop the blood from gushing out of his neck, but it was all in vain.

Everyone was shocked at that scene.

Even Liu Bingyao could not believe what she saw.

‘Is this guy in front of me… the Tang Hao I know?

  ‘How is this possible?’

She never knew that Tang Hao was so physically proficient, neither did she know that he dared to slit open a man’s throat.

The burly man wailed as he continued stumbling backward. Finally, he fell on the floor and stopped moving.

The warehouse was deathly silent for a long time.

Everyone’s eyes were focused on the boy with an impassive face and wielding a silver short sword.

The burly men’s expressions became quite unpleasant.

They had thought that the kid would be easily bullied by them, but they did not expect that he was proficient in martial arts.

The movements earlier were slick and fast. He was also merciless in killing that person. Normal people would not have been able to kill someone while remaining impassive.

“Dammit, he’s a kungfu master!” One of the burly men yelled. He lifted the rifle in his hands and prepared to shoot.

Tang Hao’s eyes flashed with coldness. He flicked his wrist and a flash of silver shot out.

  Thwack!

A silver throwing knife pierced the man’s throat.

The man trembled as he clutched his throat, looking incredulously at Tang Hao. He stumbled a few steps backward and fell on the floor with a loud thud.

The warehouse fell into silence again.

The burly men’s faces were turning pale.

The scar-faced man was also feeling intimidated. He gritted his teeth viciously. “Why are you all still standing there? Shoot him! Kill him!” He roared.

Everyone came to their senses and fired at Tang Hao.

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

More than ten guns were aimed at Tang Hao at that instant. Bullets converged from all directions onto the boy.

However, the bullets seemed to have encountered an invisible obstacle and slowed down as they neared him.

Even Liu Bingyao could see clearly the trajectories of the bullets.

The boy casually dodged all the bullets.

The men’s faces were wracked with incredulity and even fear. It was as though the figure in front of them was not human but instead a scary monster
.

“Who… What are you?” Someone asked with a trembling voice. His hands that were holding a rifle were trembling violently.

Tang Hao looked at him. His right hand flicked and a silver gleam shot out.

  Thwack!

Blood gushed out of the man’s throat and he fell on the floor.

“Kill him! Kill him quick!” The scar-faced man roared maniacally.

However, bullets were useless against him. The figure moved swiftly like a phantom. Flashes of silver appeared occasionally, accompanied by bright red blood gushing.

The men fell one by one.

Finally, only three people were left standing in the warehouse.

The scar-faced man was one of them, but his legs were violently shaking and his face was ghastly pale.

His experience as a soldier had made him impervious to many things that would have cowed normal people. However, he had nothing but fear when faced against that boy.

That boy was not human but a monster.

“Don’t… Don’t come any closer. I’ll blow her brains off if you take another step!”

The scar-faced man held a gun against the side of the girl’s head.

Tang Hao’s eyes flashed with coldness. Instantly, the wind rose around him and rushed at the man.

The scar-faced man grunted and flew backward as if struck by lightning. His gun flew away from his hands.

He was utterly dumbstruck as he fell on the floor.

Liu Bingyao was dumbstruck as well.

Tang Hao quickly went to her and said gently, “Everything’s fine now!”

Liu Bingyao lifted her head and looked at him. Suddenly, tears welled in her eyes and she hugged Tang Hao tightly.

She was only a young girl of eighteen and was never caught in such a perilous situation before.

“Don’t cry, everything’s alright now!” Tang Hao tried to comfort her.

She nodded slightly, then took a step backward. A blush appeared on her impeccable face.
