Blood & Fists: Bare-knuckle Series #1 Page 12

by Marie Deveraux

Peter rubbed her arm, “You want to do that at home?”

Olivia nodded and put the plastic bag inside the other bag. Her steel blue eyes glanced at the disarmed booby trap. It was just a small lighter set to go off and burn the contents inside if anyone tried to get inside. Peter put his arm around her and kissed her head as they walked out of the airport and towards the parking garage.

Captain Elsa Turner of Chicago Police Department’s 6th District looked up from the surveillance photo, her green eyes moving between the two Federal agents, “... and the blonde?” The Federal agents shifted and glanced at each other, “We can’t get an id or any information on her. Our investigation is on hold for now, more important issues have come up.”

Elsa held her finger up to her lips before tossing the photograph of the blonde resting her head on her son’s shoulder onto her desk. Peter wasn’t her son anymore. He was a Driscoll. She looked back up at the two agents, “Thank you for informing me of this development, we’ll be in touch.” The two agents nodded and closed the captain’s office door behind them.

She shuffled through a handful of surveillance photos. Glancing at shots of all the members of Clan Driscoll. Elsa held the photo of Olivia, her eyes narrowing, “Who are you?” Captain Turner stared at the photo of Olivia one last time before shoving it deep into her desk.

Clan Driscoll will return in Passion & Power (Bare-knuckle Series #2)

  Special Thanks

I owe a huge credit to author Nikki Sloane. The Sordid Series planted the seeds for this violent and erotic story in my head. A special shout out and thank you to my beta readers, Pam Rowe and Kyle Warner, for their helpful notes. Thank you to Zack Long (at Scriptophobics) and my crew at Women Write About Comics for just being awesome and inspiring! A shout out to my husband of fifteen years, you’re pretty ok I guess. =)
