VLAD (Noir MC Book 2) Page 9

by Celia Crown

Lips stretched so wide that she does feel a touch of pain, he adores the frothy ring of cum threading on his shaft. It’s a primal purr that comes out of his throat as she rocks back.

The hands on her hips squeeze painfully, she doesn’t mind it with a guttural mewl for more.

He’s a man with a reputation for blood and violence defiling a good little girl like her who’s also half his age.

  God, he’s such an animal.

Dark eyes gleam with desire for her, and Mavis feels beautiful.

Her curious muscles contract around him that promptly sends electrifying shivers slithering down his balls.

She’s close, he can tell by the fluttering muscles and exhausted trembles in her legs. She pants heavily, sobs of euphoria follow the full body jolts that his pummeling hips forces her to feel.

Vlad works his rough thrusts, chasing the blinding pleasure behind his starry eyes. He lets his fingers find her sodden clit easily and pinches it to bring out a wail from her lips.

His mouth latches on the curve of her neck, sucking on the tender flesh with a lap of his soothing tongue before closing his teeth around it.

Mavis’ body is readily responsive as her entire body locks up and shakes tumultuously. She cries his name and sobs through the intense orgasm with his lips chasing away the soreness.

He’s momentarily unable to breathe through the gush of cum soaking his girthy length. She’s already tight as she is, but this is on a new level of ecstasy that makes him even more obsessed with the young woman beneath him.

The sensation makes him lightheaded, his need to cum and feed her silky cunt with his hot seed is overpowering.

His cock thickens, and she squeals wildly while he roars as his shaft pulses in her tight walls. Scorching heat splashes in her little body, pooling in the depth of her womb that his cock is insistently tapping at.

Knowing that he has her, Mavis begins to go limp. She hums with dewy eyes and a satisfied smile on her face. His chest puffs with pride, his little girl counts on him to protect her and take care of her.

Boneless and sleepy, her head rolls on his shoulders as he holds the both of them up from dropping on the cooling soapy water. His cock lodges snugly in her quivering walls, he cranks on the water to a cozy temperature for them to stand under.

His cock slides out with a trail of thick cum leisurely dripping onto the murky water and sticking to her weak thighs. His heart thumps and sings a song of calmness as she turns to face him, her giddily eyes match her silly grin.

She tips her head up, black hair splaying messily on her back and forehead. His warm body provides a sense of shield to her and the cold air that licks her moist skin.

A kiss presses on his lips gets a set of arms around his neck too, bringing him down for her to take her kisses. He doesn’t feel the kink in his lower back when he kisses her because she looks at him as if he’s going to disappear from her eyes.

He won’t. Just like how she will always be in his eyes.

He will never let her go.

“I’ll always protect you, little girl.”

Vlad grips her shoulders, keeping her to his chest as he buries his face into her wet hair.

  “Never forget that.”

With unsteady hands, she hugs his waist with a shuddering breath. Rawness hiding under a disguise of confidence.

  “I know, daddy.”

  Chapter Fourteen

  Vlad

  Vlad watches Mavis a lot.

Constantly taking in every microexpression to give him indications of how she’s feeling or any thoughts that cross her pretty little head.

He prides himself on being observant.

He remembers her cheeks reddening after their shower, bashful at their scandalous actions in such a public place. Her fingers always finding his as a sign of comfort and the little feet shuffle when she feels the simmering jumpiness from something that bothers her.

He also notices how Mavis avoids the prying look when Honey and Kane came back to the bar hours later. Vlad sees her struggling to put on that pretty smile when the snow finally stopped so the bar could open again as Brenda and the former president—Nate walks in.

Mavis kept the Richard incident under wraps, never mentioning it again. Her mom, Brenda, is none the wiser. Honey tries to bring it up but when Mavis wants to keep a secret, it’s secured under lock and key.

He witnesses first hand at how natural she can lie to her mother when Brenda asks if there’s anything wrong with his raven-haired beauty as Honey’s dying protest catches the older woman’s attention.

In a way, Vlad thinks, Mavis had done this so many times that Honey’s automatic response is to go along with it because that’s how much of a habitual thing it became.

“I slept for thirty-six hours on my last chemical formula breakthrough.”

Honey rolls her blue eyes, scoffing at the improbability. “Normal people can’t sleep that much.”

  “Normal is overrated.”

  Vlad doesn’t like it.

A part of Mavis is reverting back to the guarded woman he first met.

  Fucking dick.

  Richard, he hates that name.

He needs to know what that bastard said to his little girl for her to pretend everything is fine. It bothers her so much that she’s checking the window for any sign of Richard standing outside.

A tug on his shirt snaps his eyes from Mavis to the woman behind him.

Honey mentions him to follow her to a more secluded corner as Mavis is momentarily distracted by the skilled bartender. A mix of colorful alcohols and vibrant green of limes on the side, she becomes fascinated with the way the metallic hue that goes into a serving glass.

“I think I know what’s going on,” she whispers, inconspicuously looking over at Mavis.

Kane stands at a distance, but if she were to look back, she can only see his massive body and Honey would remain unseen with Vlad.

“It’s in pieces, but I can get a clear picture from it.”

He crosses his arms, her eyes zoning in on his tattoos before she shakes herself out of the trance. Honey takes a peek at Kane and sighs in relief, Vlad can guess she has a thing for tattoos and it’s a reaction she can’t control when she sees inked skin.

Mavis has developed a habit of tracing her fingers on his tattoos.

It’s endearing, his little girl acts like she’s never seen inks.

  “Go on,” he said.

If he can’t get to the bottom of the problem from Mavis, then Honey is the next best thing.

“I called Laura, the sister that knows everything. We have no privacy at all.”

Vlad listens as the girl drones on about this other sister of theirs and how the only possible way for Laura to be omniscience is to tap into her law degree and over analyze everything.

“Do you always talk this much?”

“Kane doesn’t have a problem with it,” she pouts, lips twisting in a frown.

Vlad shifts his weight, “I’m not Kane.”

“Right,” she mumbles, “That Richard creature is an investor. He’s been infatuated with her for a long time even if they rarely spoke.”

Vlad grounds his teeth, he can feel the start of irritation bubbling in his stomach.

“Word on the street says that Richard’s looking to buy that really popular club down at Miami, but the owner rejected his offer. Some say he’s trying to expand his business, while most say he’s trying to flaunt it to a woman.”

Honey sighs, blue eyes rolling so hard that it might have been stuck for a second or it’s a glitch in his eyes as Honey points out because she’s too smooth to have uncontrollable eyes.

He doesn’t see how this ridiculous woman is related to Mavis.

She continues, “Combining the fact that he was here, in front of mom’s bar and looked for Mavis. It’s too big of a coincidence, he must have said something to Mavis. Maybe he’s thinking of taking mom’s bar if the rumors are true, and somehow she fits into his mast
er plan or whatever it is.”

A growl vibrates in his throat.

Honey takes a step back from his frighteningly livid energy.

The nerve of that fucker. How dare he put his hand on Mavis when if he’s so invested in her enough to track her down to her mother’s bar, then he’d know that she doesn’t like to be touched.

He had seen the brimming tears in her eyes when Richard holds her shoulder with that smug look on his face, he was torn between annihilating the source of her distress and wrapping her in his protective arms.

There’s a good chance Richard threatened Mavis with something she treasures. Judging by her reaction, it’s someone important to her. Her mother, sisters, or him.

If he shows his face to Vlad again, he’ll break every bone on his lanky body and crush his throat.

Threatening his little girl is unacceptable.

“She’s doing it again.” Honey’s golden hair falls solemnly, eyes squinting with worry. “Keeping things to herself. She doesn’t want to bother others, so she faces the problem herself.”

Her crestfallen face is made more prominent with the frown on her lips. “You can fix it, I know you can. She trusts you—”

  “What’s going on?”

Mavis’ soft and curious voice quickly vanquish his fury, her small hands holding his bigger one with a gentle squeeze. Fingers threading between his chaotically, Vlad breathes again.

“I was telling him about your dedication.” Honey laughs, swiftly putting a sunshine smile on her face.

Mavis cheekily smirks, “Hard work comes from dedication.”

“I meant your dedication to weird things. You drove five hours for a hair tie. Five hours.”

“You don’t have to repeat it, Vlad understands.” Mavis smiles up at him.

“He doesn’t know you traveled across the Earth to buy a black hair tie.”

“It was different. They’re limited edition.”

  “They’re just a brand name.”

Birds of a feather, Mavis and Honey.

This golden-haired girl is also a natural liar.

Vlad clamps his hand down on hers as Kane slips beside Honey. He nods a silent thanks to the stoic man for keeping Mavis’ eyes on the bartender.

  “Girls,” their mother’s voice calls.

They turn and runs to Brenda when she waves her hand. Whatever she needs the girls for, Vlad and Kane are two steps behind them like guard dogs. Brenda’s boyfriend is the former president of Noir and he stands right beside Brenda with a stern expression.

Their other brothers are smart enough to avoid leaving their homes as it creates a quiet and calm space for Brenda to speak without prying ears.

  “We need to talk.”

Honey gasps, hands covering her rounded lips. “Mom, don’t say that. That’s the universal breakup line.”

Brenda scolds, her motherly glare chastises Honey.

“This is serious. I’m seeing someone.” she clears her throat and was about to say more when Honey interrupts again with Mavis echoing behind her with her own thoughts.

  “Mom, no.”

“Please don’t let it be another Grant scenario.”

Brenda huffs, offended. “Grant was a kind man.”

“Grinch Grant is his name.” Vlad watches Mavis control her volume, but the cringe on her face makes her whisper just a level higher.

  “Nate is different.”

Brenda holds the former president’s hand, smiling softly at him while her daughters are caught between looking at the couple or gasp at each other because their face clearly conveys the message of what the hell.

The girls take in Nate’s appearances, judging him with scrutiny in their eyes. Vlad meets Kane’s eyes over the girls’ heads as Honey’s face is overwhelmed with emotions that it becomes chaotic and she looks in pain while Mavis’ face washes blank with her mind half a second behind her.

“Mom,” Mavis said, “He looks angry.”

“Don’t be rude, baby. It’s his face.” Brenda clicks her tongue. “He’s very kind to me. I want you to spend some time with him and get to know him.”

“You said those exact words for Petty Patrick.” Honey reminds.

Mavis adds, “Let’s not forget Egotistic Ethan.”

Brenda opens her mouth to repute, but Honey’s talking already.

  “Also, Stalker Steve.”

Their mother chides, lips spinning into a pout. “Nate isn’t like that.”

“He could be Neanderthal Nate for all I know.” Mavis crosses her arms, defiantly scowling at Nate, keeping firm eye contact.

He’s proud of his little girl for standing on her belief and protecting her mother from a strange man she’s never met. Nate isn’t a man everyone can get along with, Vlad had seen the way people steer clear of his path on normal days just because of his presence.

“It’s a no, mom.” Honey shakes her head, hands opening and shrugging her shoulders.

“I love him and he loves me,” Brenda said.

Mavis glares at Nate with fiery eyes. In Vlad’s eyes, she’s a tiny kitten going against a lion.

His hand goes to hold her neck, a habit he developed as a sign of dominance. She instinctively leans in without meaning to as she stares with unnervingly still eyes at the man.

“We’re getting married.” her blue eyes flashes to Brenda, wide with shock and disbelief.

She stammers as Honey chokes on her saliva, Kane rubs her back and pats occasionally.

  “What?”

Brenda licks her lips, nervousness etching on her wavering tone. “I’ve been meaning to tell you about Nate and me, but the time wasn’t right.”

“Mom,” Mavis chokes, blinking in bafflement. “I’m still wrapping my head around the idea you’re dating another disaster.”

“Watch your tone,” Nate hisses, his chest releases a bark.

The hostility in his eyes triggers an immediate reaction that drops the temperature in the bar with several degrees. The bartender, Roman pausing on the bar counter as the towel lays crumbled under his palm. Brenda sucks in a shuddering breath that makes Vlad question whether she’s afraid for her daughters or Nate.

Drawing in slow and deep breaths, Honey cocks her head up in a deliberate challenge to Nate’s dominance. A storm creating havoc in her blue eyes as Kane swiftly take a hold of her wrist, preventing her from launching to Nate.

Mavis reacts differently. Honey is a silent hurricane, ready to destroy everything in her path. Vlad had seen all types of anger, being Noir’s new president and frequent customer of the bar, he’s unluckily gifted with intoxicated and short-tempered people.

  Mavis’ smile frightens him.

  It’s cold and calculated.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Nate.”

Brenda’s voice cracks, her shorter body creating a barrier between her girls and the man she loves. Vlad slips his fingers on the junction where her neck meets her shoulder, a firmer control as he assesses the tension around them. Crackling opposition has the hair on his arms standing.

“Baby, listen. He doesn’t mean that—”

Honey laughs, manic glee in her tone that doesn’t match the sunshine personality she possesses.

  “How long can you last?”

Vlad is starting to witness the subtle defensiveness leaking from the scared little girl from years ago, and because she’s scared, the barbed wires begin to wrap around her.

She told him, word for word.

They had learned from an early age that intelligence trumped strength, cowardice aided survival, and freedom was just a word. They were frightened children; forced to adapt, learn, and live in a world filled with violence and blood.

The pain became a normal constant in their lives.

It took a patient adopted mother and a supportive older sister to shatter those foundations of their lives.

“You do have guts.” Nate laughs boisterously, thundering around the room.

Mavis and Honey blinks, confusion taking over
their hostility. Vlad and Kane don’t let their grip on them loosen, to keep the two kittens from sinking their claws in Nate.

“I thought Brenda was just exaggerating, you two monkeys do scare people. You almost scared me.”

An offended look fights with bewilderment to take over on their faces as they stammer and become speechless. Chances are, they never had someone actually withstanding their protectiveness.

“I’m marrying your mother. We’re going to be a family from now on, so you’re my children too.”

Honey sputters, “This isn’t happening, oh god. What the—”

  Nate grins, “Call me dad.”

“I can’t.” Mavis puts her hand on her forehead, a look of utter incredulity. “I don’t know what to do with him, Honey.”

This is another time Vlad witnesses the peculiarity of Honey, as Kane puts it.

Her brain to mouth filter doesn’t work most of the time, and as endearing as Kane thinks it, Vlad is worried about Mavis’ sanity.

Honey adds in, “Since we’re throwing secrets out, I might as well say it too. I’m pregnant.”

  “What.” Brenda freezes.

Vlad can hear the high-pitched screeching from Mavis’ brain as she struggles to comprehend the entire ordeal.

She opens her mouth and closes it, then tries again.

“My brain cells are dying faster than they can regenerate.”

  Chapter Fifteen

  Mavis

After a long and tenacious talk between the Lewis family and Nate, they decided to call it a day.

It’s clear that another snowstorm is starting to kick in by the strong wind and dropping temperature that has the windows forming crystals.

Mavis closes her eyes and snuggles deep into Vlad’s chest, taking in the radiating heat from his larger body. Everyone’s helping around to clean the bar before closing while he forces her to sit on the barstool with Kane wrestling to get Honey to sit next to her.

Vlad doesn’t let her do anything. He said as long as he’s there, she doesn’t need to do an ounce of work. She tries to tell him that he doesn’t need to treat her like a glass doll, she can do work.
