Dedicated to All the Authors
This one is for you.
The ones who are nearing the end of their series.
I know it’s hard but follow the path.
When you get to the end, it’s ever so rewarding.
Acknowledgments
My Author Tribe: Iris Sweetwater, and Courtney Lynn Rose – Thank you both so much for helping me stay on target when writing this book. I was struggling quite a bit near the end of this story and kept getting stuck, but y’all kept me on target.
My Beta’s – Thank y’all for giving me feedback throughout the process of writing this book. I appreciate all of your patience, even when I was writing the book in random chunks versus in sequence. hopefully, it was everything you imagined it would be.
My Editor, Tania – Thank you so much for helping me make this book the best it could be. This is unlike anything I’ve ever written before, and I can’t wait to see what everyone thinks.
My Bloggers – I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank y’all so much for your continual support, no matter what the genre, or what the story line, I know I can always count on y’all.
KBB, My Babes! – I’m just as sad as you are to be reaching the end of this series. As I was nearing the end of writing this book, I cannot tell you the writer’s block that somehow found its way into my life. Honestly, I think it was because I was nearing the end of the series and I wasn’t quite ready for it myself. Now that the book is done, I will just say that I hope y’all are satisfied with the ending for this series. Stay tuned for another release next month. The long awaited bonus story “Rectified” will be in First Generation: The Skulls Renegade MC Boxset.

“Learn the rules like a pro so you can break the rules like an artist.”

Enzo
I’m pissed, furious even. I can’t believe Reed …he doesn’t want my family to help but he’s letting his personal feelings cloud his judgement. They won’t ask for anything because I am their family. This is not a normal business transaction where they would feel that something is owed to them.
“Get the fuck out of my sight, and don’t you ever think of speaking to me like that again.” Reed hisses at Trick as he leaves the room. The remaining brothers besides Trick and I follow his lead. I appreciate that he was trying to defend me, or maybe my family. Either way, I appreciate it.
“Thanks.” I tell him, heading for the door myself. But the second I get to the door, I stop myself and look back at him. For some reason an eerie feeling has washed over me.
Trick is staring down at the ground, looking like he’s deep in thought. I know the feeling, doing it myself more times than I can count. “Enzo …you gotta do whatever you need to. We’re at war here, and we’re all soldiers fighting on the same side. Reed would kill me for saying this …but do what you need to. I’m never the type of man who wants to defy his Prez, but something has to change. We’ve won the biggest war of our lives and now this.”
“Rest assured, Trick. I’ll do whatever I need to with or without Reed’s permission. Max is thinking like Reed right now, staying one step ahead of us the entire time. We can’t afford to keep allowing that to happen.”
Trick nods, “I agree. Whatever resources you have, use them.” Trick’s words resonate with me as I walk out of the room, through the clubhouse doors and mount my bike. I fly like a bat out of hell to get to Bubba’s and when I do …I see nothing but a blazing inferno.
The bar is no more, and some of the cabins behind the club are on fire too. My eyes go scanning back and forth, witnessing all of the madness that lies before my eyes. The sign on the front of the bar is barely hanging on, probably from th
e shock of what happened. I’m no firefighter, but it doesn’t look that bad from where I’m standing. The blaze looks like it’s located at the back of the bar, but the front door of the bar has been blown off, which tells me I really don’t know how bad this is.
I dismount my bike and run for the entrance. There could still be survivors. While I know it isn’t likely, the only thing running through my mind right now is how I need to get the fuck in here and see. If I don’t check, I’ll never know.
I’m in through the door and feel the heat on my skin. It’s so hot that I swear my hair is burning right off. It doesn’t matter though. I came in here to help, and I’m not being any help until I look around and see. I walk a few feet. “Hello!” I call out, hoping and praying that someone will be in here.
The fire department isn’t here yet, and we’ll be lucky if they get here within fifteen minutes. They’re always slow around these parts. It’s dark in here, but at the same time the flames light it up enough to where I can see some things. Truth be told, I don’t even know how the structure is still standing with the damage I see.
I cover my mouth with my sleeve and try to filter what I’m breathing in, looking at the crumbled bar area, seeing the debris from booths, tables and chairs spread across the space. I look over to the right and somehow I see blonde hair spread out across something. I rush over, moving whatever I need to out of my path and see her. I don’t know which one this is, because we have so many …I feel like a jackass for saying that. The Russian Dolls are so important to us. Over the past couple of years, they’ve shown us that they want something more in life, and so we’ve helped them in every possible way.
I slide my arms underneath the girl’s body and run out through the front doors. Bikers are standing outside, and the women who weren’t in the bar or the burning cabins are huddled together. “We need to search inside! There could be more!” I cough out, to the brothers. I notice Trick first, charging in, he’s waving his hand up and down for our brothers to come help.
Wrath and his older crew of bikers are here. “Set the girl down, brother. We all have medical training. We can help until the fire department gets here.” I do as he asks and lay her down on the pavement. Her face is covered with soot, but I see her breathing. While it may be shallow, it’s something.
“We’ve got her. Go!” Hound barks at me. I do as he states and rush back towards Bubba’s …but I stop myself. I turn my head and look over at the burning cabins and that’s when I see Reed, Seamus and Pain. They’re busting in them and doing the same that we are right now, searching for survivors.
I feel sick to my stomach, knowing that someone could have done this to these poor, innocent women. They weren’t alone, though. There must have been patrons in there …we just haven’t found them yet.
I see Trick come running out with two women in his arms, and Chaos has another. “Where were they?!” I ask, yelling over the sound of the commotion. Finally, the fire trucks are headed our way.
“Kitchen, under the bar, just look everywhere you can. And hurry! It sounds like it’s gonna come crumbling down at any minute.” I nod my head at his words and charge back in, jumping over the debris where the bar used to be. I pull up pieces of wood, slicing my hands on broken glass, but that’s when I see her. Her hair is as dark as midnight, but I know this girl, Malvina. She’s quiet, one of the quietest dolls. She keeps to herself, but is kind to everyone. I grab the piece of wood that lays atop her and shove it away with all my might, trying to pull her free in the process. Luckily, after a moment she is free and within my arms. Running out to the front door, I hear the crackling of something and suddenly – I’m flying forward.
As my body hits the pavement, I have an intense pain radiating through my head and everything goes black.

Enzo
I wake up to the sound of beeps, and the smell of sterilization. It smells clean – too clean if you ask me. Upon opening my eyes, I take in my surroundings. I’m in a hospital room. To my left I see Angel sitting in a chair, and to my right I see Trick staring out the window.
“Anyone care to tell me what the fuck happened?” I rasp out. My throat is dry, killing me just saying one word. Angel is quick to grab the cup of water next to my bed and places the cup on my lips, gently tilting the water back.
Trick turns his body and takes a few calculated steps. He places his hands on the end of my bed and I can see he’s furious beyond measure. It only tells me one thing, that whatever this is …it isn’t good. “I shouldn’t be the one telling you this shit, but considering Reed and Kyle are busy trying to repair all the shit the club’s been through, here I am. As you know, Bubba’s was bombed. Max was behind it, brother. He sent us a fucking video.”
“Of what, exactly?” I question, not sure I want to know more…but I have to know. If I’m going to be able to help, I need to know everything. I hear something similar to the sound of a vibration and look over to see Angel with her teeth chattering. She looks terrified beyond belief.
“He k-killed t-them.” She cries out, holding her arms over her chest. Trick rushes over to her side, pulling her in his arms.
As he holds her, he speaks. “He somehow sent us a mass message. I’m not a techy guy, but I don’t know how he did this shit. It went in our club group chat, brother. He admitted to planting the bombs around Bubba’s and the girls cabins. He murdered them, in cold fuckin’ blood.”
“Who died?” I ask, almost not wanting to know.
Angel starts to sob uncontrollably in Trick’s embrace.
He opens his mouth, naming them one by one. “Malvina, Nonna, Olga, Svetlana, Tamara and Polina. There were more casualties, but the others were patrons.”
“Polina is dead.” I state, searching his eyes.
Trick nods.
Polina was one of the more vocal dolls. She very recently started getting into the porn industry part of the club. A business that we neglected over the years. One that Angel has been helping with scenes and producing as of late. She was kind, a mother hen to these women …these women who had endured awful things to even get to us.
“I ca-an’t believe t-this happened.” Angel hiccups, holding onto Trick.
I want to say that I can’t believe any of this happened either, but the truth of the matter is that I can believe it. I can believe it because we didn’t act in a way that we should’ve. A way that would have gotten rid of our problem a long time ago. I always knew there was something fishy about this bastard and I want him to pay.
No, I want him to more than pay for what he’s done. I want him to suffer in ways that he should. Overall, I want him to get some sort of justice. Only, I don’t know if Reed will handle it in the way that needs to be handled.
“I refuse to allow this fucker to continue to do this to us.” I snarl out, my anger taking control of my body. “He’s gotten away with it for far too long, and I want him to pay. We should have had his head on a stake right now. Fuck, we’re owed that much.”
“I don’t disagree with you.” Trick states. “I told you a couple days ago to use your resources and I’m thinking it’s high time you do that. If you have people who can help us, then use them.”
“Oh, I guarantee you …I plan on doing just that. My family won’t let him keep doing this fucking shit to us. I’m not going to let us all get killed, and while I understand Reed has his reasons for not wanting them to be involved, he should trust me. If I say they don’t want anything, then they won’t.” Even now, it still infuriates me.
I understand, and respect the fact that Reed doesn’t want my family to get involved, but at the end of the day I will always do what’s right. In this situation, it’s right to involve them. It’s right to ask for help. It’s right to make sure this motherfucker Max is in the fucking ground. “You gonna tell us what kind of resource your family is?” Trick asks.
There’s no point in hiding it anymore, so I’ll tell him. “My mother married an assassin. If anyone can help us track and get rid of this guy, it’s going to be my step-father and half-siblings. I am their blood, and they will help me in whatever way I need.”
“Whatever you do. Make sure that this motherfucker pays. He deserves to pay for everything he has done, Enzo.” As Angel speaks, I see the pain she’s gone through in her eyes. She’s not bullshitting me in any way, shape or form. “Those girls are lost without their friends …they’re terrified and I can’t blame them for it. They don’t feel safe, and how can they when all of this has happened?”
Angel is right. Of course, they’re going to be scared. I’m going to do everything I can to make sure these girls don’t live in fear, and neither will our club.
“Where’s my phone?” I ask Angel and Trick.
Angel makes a face, “Uh, it went ka-putz when you went flying. Here’s mine.” She hands me her phone and I type in Reed’s phone number.
