As if on cue, there was a knock on the door, then Gwen appeared. The skirt and jacket she wore fit her prim and proper professional demeanor, but she wasn’t fooling me. I knew exactly what was under those tightly-fastened buttons. I gave her a sly smile, which she promptly looked away from. I’d get her to cave later, though. Always did.
“Are you all ready?” she asked.
“Hell, yes,” Jesse replied, making everyone laugh. A lot of guys are nervous as hell before their weddings, but not Jesse. He was chomping at the bit to marry my sister.
“Wonderful,” Gwen replied. “Let’s go then.”
Everyone filed out, but I hung back to get a moment alone with Gwen. As though she recognized my intent, she tapped her foot and warned, “Come on, Declan.”
I smirked. Oh, I’d ‘come on,’ all right. When I’d boned the wedding planner after Dylan and Autumn’s wedding, I hadn’t expected her to keep popping up in my life. Then, my sister had gone and hired the woman to do her wedding as well. I was shit for her good girl image, but damn did I like being bad with Gwen. She’d told me we needed to stop whatever it was we were doing, but I was too consumed by the way she felt, smelled, tasted, fucked. And as much as she pretended to hate me, she couldn’t stay away either.
As I passed her in the doorway, I brought a battered and calloused hand up to her cheek. “I’ve got plans for you later, baby, and they involve a much better use for this tie I’m wearing.”
Her skin flushed and I winked before following the group down the hall, all the while having the satisfaction of knowing my words had caused her to warm between the legs.
I’m a crass, Scotch-Irishman with tattoos who fights fires for a living and beats the crap outta guys in a cage for the hell of it. She’s the daughter of a billionaire real-estate tycoon.
