The Snow Dragon's Mate Page 10

Kymar grinned. “He is pretty amazing, just like his father.”

I narrowed my eyes. “Which one?”

  “Both.”

I laughed. “Very true, but maybe we should put him down so we can actually drink our cocoa.” We’d placed a bassinet in the living room because sometimes it was easier to lay him down there when he fell asleep than to take him up to the nursery. Kymar laid him in it and covered him with a yellow blanket Roman had crocheted for us.

We each picked up our mugs and returned to the window. For a few moments, we stood there, sipping the warm chocolate and looking out at the night. Then I raised my cocoa cup and turned to my mate. “To another miraculous Christmas and hundreds more to come.”

As he clinked his cup against mine, he said, “And to our happily ever after.”
