Hidden Betrayal (O'Connor Girls Book 1) Page 22

by Rhonda Brewer

Once Kristy had helped Hannah tidy up from their girl’s night, she headed back to Dean’s place. She could still hear her cousins inside, but it was almost midnight, and she was a little tipsy from the wine.

“Here you go. Kristy can tell you.” Dean held out the paper he was holding as Kristy entered through the door.

“I’m a doctor, and you think a nurse can tell you more about a drug than a doctor.” Ian shook his head.

“No, you idiot. I’m talking about how long it was from the time I left her room until I went back.” Dean rolled his eyes.

“We were talking about the drug traces they found in that chocolate piece.” Ian threw his hands up in the air.

“Asshat, we already determined that the amount of … what was the name of it again?” Mike sifted through some papers.

  “Temazepam.” Ian groaned.

“Yeah, that. We know it would have knocked her out cold. You said she probably would have been out for hours if the amount in that small piece was any indication of what was in the whole thing.” Mike glanced at Kristy.

“So?” Eight pairs of eyes turned toward her, and she didn’t have a clue as to why.

“So, what?” Kristy shrugged her shoulders.

“Do you know how long it was between the time Dean left Peyton’s room and when he returned?” Nick asked as if he was annoyed she didn’t know.

“I don’t know. I only saw him on his way back.” Kristy shrugged, "but I remember Graham saying that he’d been in the lunch room with him at least an hour or more.”

“So the drug could have been before or after you left.” James tossed a paper on the table.

“What are you talking about?” Kristy stepped behind Dean.

“I was telling them that Pey had slept a lot that evening and they said she could have been administered the drug to put her asleep earlier in the day.” Dean looked up at her.

“What was in her system again?” Kristy looked at Ian because she knew the rest wouldn’t remember the name of the drug.

“Propofol.” Ian raised an eyebrow because he knew it wasn’t a drug they typically used in places like Comfort Life Care. It was a drug that was used in assisted suicide situations though.

“It would have taken effect pretty fast so I’d say it all happened after Dean left the room. Whoever it was had plenty of time.” Ian sat back in the chair. “Is Sandy gone home?”

“Yes, and if you hurry, you may get some before she passes out.” Kristy smiled.

“I’m starting to think she drinks a lot.” Aaron laughed.

“Nah, but when she does… Let’s say; I’m glad I don’t have to get up to work tomorrow.” Ian stood up with a grin on his face.

“I think we should call it a night.” Dean leaned back in the chair and wrapped his arms around the back of him embracing Kristy in his arms.

“Yeah. Besides, Nick needs to find some other excuse as to why he’s dropping by the pub tomorrow on his day off.” Aaron chuckled and jumped to barely avoid Nick’s fist.

“Why does he need an excuse to go to the pub?” Kristy glanced around the room, obviously missing the inside joke between the men.

“Nothing, A.J. is an idiot.” Nick glared at his younger brother.

“Your cousin has a little crush on the new waitress at your mom’s restaurant,” Dean whispered when her cousins were out of earshot.

  “Really?” Kristy smiled.

“Don’t say I told you.” Dean watched as John and Keith put the pile of papers and files into a box.

“I won’t.” Kristy kissed his cheek.

“I’m going to show this to uncle Kurt and the guys in charge of the investigations and see what they think. Maybe between all of us, we can figure this out sooner rather than later, but I would think about getting the security turned back on in that house, Bull.” John tucked the box under his arm.

“Yeah, I’ll give Vince a call tomorrow and have him get on that.” Dean yawned.

Kristy stood next to Dean with her arms wrapped around his waist as her cousins piled into Nick’s truck. He was dropping all of them off but Keith who walked the short distance to his house.

“I don’t know if we accomplished anything tonight, but I do feel a little better about things.” Dean kissed the top of her head as the tail lights of Nick’s truck disappeared.

“Good.” Kristy tipped her head up to gaze up at him.

“How did you enjoy your evening?” Dean closed the door and pulled her into his embrace.

“It was fun, and Hannah really had a great time.” Kristy moaned when Dean kissed his way down the side of her face.

“Good, but I’ve spent the last few hours with your cousins and right now all I want is you in my bed naked, and moaning.”

“I like that idea.” Kristy allowed him to tug her towards the bedroom.

She had a couple of glasses of wine to relax her, but she was definitely up for a hot night with the man she loved.

  Chapter 23

Two weeks passed, and all the investigations were at a standstill. They did manage to put to rest the fact that Hannah’s baby boy did die, and he wasn’t put up for adoption.

Sandy figured out the record she did find was entered into the system only a few years earlier. It raised red flags as to why someone would try to put a fake adoption document on government files.

Eric didn’t have the skills to do such a thing, and neither did Trevor. They had figured that much out as well. According to people that knew Eric personally, he was barely able to use his smartphone. Trevor had a little more experience but not the skills that he would need get into a secure system and insert a fake record without getting noticed.

The good news, the charges against Hannah got dropped thanks to Jason and Stewart. When they were digging through her arrest and processing, they found out she’d been brought to the hospital because the nurse at the department said she wasn’t lucid.

Another one of the many things missing from the report. The blood showed a high dosage of Temazepam in her system. According to tests, there was no way Hannah would have been lucid enough to do anything. He didn’t understand that part of the investigation but when Kristy and Ian explained that Hannah was lucky she didn’t die that night because of the amount of the drug in her system. All he cared about was that Hannah was cleared.

He also asked Vince to drop by the house and take a walk through it to see if he noticed anything missing or different from the night that Ivan died. When he called Dean back a few hours later, he made a point of saying he would not be going inside the house again. It was creepy and felt as if someone was watching him.

Vince did have the security system checked and turned on because of Dean’s concerns. He also said that the company wouldn’t bother Dean with any issues and if there were any Vince would contact him right away.

“So, what about the interested buyers?” Vince asked him.

“I haven’t even mentioned it to Hannah, but maybe I should because the truth is, she said she wants to stay in Hopedale.” Dean leaned back in his office chair.

“What is it about that town?” Vince laughed.

“It’s Heaven.” Dean smiled as his angel walked into the office.

“Maybe I should come out there again and look around.” Vince laughed.

“Let me know; I’ll give you the grand tour.” Dean grinned when Kristy closed and locked the office door behind her.

She’d started her new job at the hospital and finished her first round of shifts. It was her day off, and she wasn’t happy that he left her in bed alone that morning. Dean hadn’t wanted to leave her naked and wanting either, but he needed to get some contracts signed, and Keith didn’t understand the words ‘wait until later.’

“Well keep in touch, Vince. I’ll get those papers signed and email them back.” Dean smiled when Kristy spun his chair around and pushed his legs apart.

“Sure, I’ll make sure everything gets done.” Vince’s voice trailed off in his ear wh
en Kristy unhooked his belt and popped the button on his jeans.

“Yeah, everything.” Dean tried to keep his voice steady, but she’d opened the wrap around dress she wore to reveal she had nothing on under it.

“I’ll let you know if …” It was the last thing he heard from Vince because he had to end the call once Kristy wrapped her mouth around his cock.

“Jesus, Kitten.” Dean groaned. “I don’t know if this is a good idea here.”

It didn’t matter if it was or not because right at that moment he was in Paradise. Kristy knew how to drive him wild with her lips, tongue, and teeth.

“It’s okay; I might have jammed something against the door so nobody could get into this part of the building,” Kristy whispered when she popped her mouth off his swollen head.

“Fuck,” His eyes rolled up in his head as she covered his dick again and took it as deep into the back of her throat as she could.

Dean was aware he was bigger than some men, and nobody had ever been able to get him entirely into their mouth, but Kristy made a good effort and what she wasn’t able to swallow she gripped with her hand.

“Kitten, that feels so fucking good,” Dean growled as he pushed her soft hair back from her face.

Kristy was incredibly beautiful, and he focused on her naked body between his legs. He knew every inch of her luscious curves and had learned where she liked to be kissed, sucked and touched.

Kristy pulled him out of her mouth slowly making sure with every inch of him she released from her mouth she covered with her hands. She twisted them together as she sucked the head of his cock hard. He was about to explode inside her mouth, and he had no way to stop it.

“I’m…. fuck…. Kitten…. Come.” Dean gripped her hair with one hand and the arm of his chair with the other.

Dean closed his eyes and shook as she swallowed every last ounce of semen that shot from him. She didn’t stop her torture but moved her hand to his sack and gently massaged it while his body jerked with his dick.

“Kitten… Jesus.” Dean almost didn’t recognize his own voice as he spoke. “You need… fuck… you have to stop.”

It felt so good, but after coming so hard, he was sensitive and weak as a newborn baby. He didn’t even have the strength to pull away.

“I’m not done with you yet, big boy.” Kristy slowly rose to her feet and unbuttoned his shirt.

If anyone walked into his office to see him overpowered by a tiny naked woman they’d never hire him to do any kind of security, but the truth was Kristy always made him weak in the knees, and now that they were together, he’d let her do anything she wanted to him.

“I fucking love you.” Dean sighed as she straddled his legs and rubbed her wetness against his still half hard cock.

“I love you too, but I’ve gone three whole days without you, and I want you to fuck me.” Kristy purred into his ear and his cock was at full staff again.

Dean was on his feet and Kristy on hers. He spun her around and braced her hands on his desk. If she wanted to get fucked he was going to make it as good for her as she did for him.

“You want me to fuck that sweet pussy,” Dean whispered into her ear as he slid his hand down over her stomach and cupped her wetness.

“Ahh.. yes.” She moaned and pushed her hips back against his erection.

“You’re so wet, Kitten.” He slid his fingers between her folds and rubbed it against her swollen clit.

“Three freaking days, Dean.” Kristy groaned.

“I know because I slept alone for three freaking days.” Dean nibbled on her ear lobe and pushed his finger inside her opening.

“Dean, I want your cock inside me.” She gasped when he curled his finger and pressed his thumb against her clit.

“I know you do, but I don’t have condoms here at the office, Kitten.” As much as he would love to see Kristy swollen with his child, he wasn’t ready to do that until the house was finished. The way things were going that was going to be February.

“Oh, silly boy.” Kristy bent over and pressed her ass against his crotch as she reached for the dress she’d dropped.

To his utter delight, she pulled out a strip of condoms and tossed them on the desk.

“Exactly how long are we going to be here?” Dean laughed, but he didn’t hesitate to grab one and rip it open.

“I figure you should be prepared if you’re going to leave me every time I finish my last night shift.” She pulled open the drawer and tossed the rest inside. “Now shut up and fuck me.”

“Woman, you’re getting bossy.” He growled as he pulled her ass back against him.

“You don’t like it?” Kristy turned her head and gave him the most seductive smile he’d ever seen.

“I fucking love it.” Dean positioned his throbbing cock against her opening and moaned. He could feel her heat and he didn’t think it was possible, but she was even wetter.

Dean pushed into her with one quick thrust making her gasp. He stopped when he was fully seated inside her and let her squirm for a few seconds as he kept her tightly pressed between him and the desk.

“I need you to move, Dean. Please.” Kristy begged as her hips wiggled against him.

He slid his hand around her and cupped both of her firm breasts in his hand making sure he gave her sensitive nipples extra attention. He squeezed and pinched them while she begged him to move. Dean loved the feeling of being deep inside Kristy, but he was a man and could only hold himself for so long.

When he pulled out slowly, he gave each of her breasts a gentle squeeze, and slammed back into her, as he pinched her nipples. Then he would stop for a couple of seconds and repeat.

“Dean, faster.” Kristy panted, and he gazed over her shoulder to see her finger pressed against her clit.

“That’s it, Kitten. Play with that clit for me.” He growled into her ear and increased his thrusts.

Dean released her breasts and grabbed her hips as he felt that familiar tingle in the tip of his dick that told him he was about to explode.

“Kitten, come for me. Now.” Dean dropped his head into the nape of her neck as he pumped in and out. He felt her body tense, and she clenched around him.

“Dean,” His name came out in a hiss as her body shivered and her pussy clamped around him.

He couldn’t hold back and exploded after two more thrusts.

“Fuck, yeah.” Dean pulled her tight against his body as his eyes rolled into his head.

How they ended up in his chair her still with her back to him and him still inside, he didn’t know, but for a few minutes, he basked in the scent of her.

“Do you think anyone is trying to get into this part of the building?” Kristy chuckled, and the vibration had him slipping from her.

“I’m sure if someone were they would have called by now. Plus, Keith is in St. John’s and the only other people that come into the office is Trunk and Hulk. Their both out of town.” Dean turned her around on his lap and pressed his lips against hers.

“So you’re saying anytime I want an office quickie all I have to do is make sure those three are out of town?” Kristy nipped on his lower lip.

“Oh yeah,” Dean growled and covered her mouth with his.

“Hmm.... I wonder how many prank calls can I make before they catch on.” Kristy giggled when Dean grabbed her by the ribs.

“Let me say two names. Sandy and Smash.” Dean referred to both the computer analysts that worked for Newfoundland Security Services.

“Enough said. I guess I’ll have to be satisfied with sex at your place.” Kristy stood up and grabbed her dress from the floor.

“So love me and leave me, huh?” Dean pulled off the condom and knotted the end. He tucked himself back into his pants and refastened his clothes.

“Well, duh.” Kristy wrapped the dress around her waist and tied it.

“I feel so used.” Dean tucked his shirt into his jeans.

“Poor big boy.” Kristy wrapped her arms around his neck and stretc
hed up so she could kiss his cheek.

“You can use me anytime, Kitten.” Dean pulled her into his arms and kissed her softly. It was a kiss that showed how much he loved her and cared for her.

“Mmmm… I’ll remember that.” Kristy whispered against his lips.

  “Please do.”

Dean gazed into her eyes. She took his breath away every time he did, and all the reasons he’d had for keeping his distance from her made no sense anymore. He loved her, and the one thing he knew for sure the rest of his life he'd spend loving Kristy O'Connor.

“What’s that face?” Kristy smiled as she cupped his cheek in her hands.

“It’s the only face I have.” He chuckled.

“Smart ass. I mean you’re looking at me like I’m about to vanish.” Kristy met his eyes, and he swallowed hard.

“I… I don’t know… sometimes…I think I don’t deserve you and someone is going to pop out and rip you away from me.” It was hard to finish the words because the lump in his throat had grown bigger at the thought of losing her.

“I’m not going anywhere and come on, who’d put up with my bossiness.” She winked.

“You’re right; nobody would ever be able to deal with that.” Dean hugged her against his body and tucked her head under his chin. “I love you, Kitten. Never forget that.”

“I love you too, Dean. Forever and Always.”

  Chapter 24

Kristy spent her three days off either at the pub with her family and friends, spending time with Dean or helping Hannah redecorate her new house.

Dean’s sister bought a small house at the end of Hope Road. It was a little bungalow that had recently been put up for sale because the woman that lived there had moved into a nursing home. It was close to Keith’s compound, and if any reporters were hanging around, Dean or Keith would send over one of the guys to deal with it.

They’d had a service for Peyton the week before Kristy started her new job and Dean had made sure it was a private service for family and close friends. Peyton was cremated and laid to rest with her brother in Jersey Harbour.
