“What’s this all about? She just said she didn’t know him,” Montana asked, sticking up for her. His brother was acting accusatory. Presley couldn’t blame him—Hagerty was a slick businessman, and he had it in for Curren since that sale they didn’t involve Hagerty in.
“We’ve had run-ins with Hagerty and his firm. We had used him a couple of times for small things, and then on a bigger deal, one done in cash with a friend, we didn’t need any real estate agents. It was a fast sale. He found out about it and since then has been screwing us with other investments. Nothing to discuss right now,” Curren said, eyeing Isla over like she wasn’t to be trusted.
“Isla doesn’t have anything to do with any of that. She just started working for the agency,” Montana said.
“Maybe she shouldn’t work for them. Maybe if she lets on that she’s seeing you two, it could cause more problems,” Presley said.
“Is it dangerous for her, Presley, Curren?” Ortley asked.
“No, why would it be?” she asked, and Ortley squeezed her knee and thigh and leaned closer.
“The situation you are involved in with the sheriff in Benter and what you found in the accounting logs. It could be a sign of more trouble,” Ortley said.
“What accounting problems and situation with the sheriff?” Presley asked before Curren could.
Montana explained.
“Get her out of that job,” Curren said and stood up.
“What? No, I’m not leaving that job. I just got it. I need to establish a portfolio and get experience. It’s safe and I’m fine. I’m doing accounting work,” she said in her defense.
Curren had his hands on his hips. “What did you do before this job? Before coming to Cherry Hill?” he asked in an accusatory tone.
“Curren, that’s enough. She isn’t some sort of spy or something,” Montana stated.
“How do you know? Stop thinking with your dicks. We’ve seen it before. Women coming around, trying to ease their ways into our beds and then our bank accounts. You think it’s just a coincidence that she shows up in Cherry Hill and then winds up with a job at a real estate agency and a man we’re having issues with?” Curren asked.
“It is a coincidence. Plus she came to Cherry Hill after she was—”
“No, Montana. I think I should leave.” Isla stood up. Ortley and Montana did too, and so did Presley.
“No, you aren’t leaving because he’s being an idiot. Damn it, Curren, Isla was studying in New York and was graduating and then preparing for the CPA exam when she was abducted by terrorists her military brother from Germany was involved in. His name was Watson, and he was working with Ferrion, Broaden, Lextin, and Snipe. When Harper was abducted and taken, she wound up in the same place as Isla. Isla lost all her family and had no one left. Harper brought her back here to Cherry Hill to start a new life. She’s been in counseling and everything,” Montana told him.
“Then she was abducted by York’s father to get York to cooperate with a robbery. She was used because she was a friend of York’s. She has had nothing but bad luck and a tough life, and she sure the hell doesn’t need you or Presley accusing her of being some sort of spy or coming after us for our money, which by the way, she knows nothing about,” Ortley said to him.
Isla turned toward Ortley with her arms wrapped around herself. “I don’t want you to fight with your brothers. We had fun today. Let’s just leave it at that.”
Ortley grabbed her upper arms and shook his head. “We aren’t leaving things at that. We’re making progress.”
“No, I said I wasn’t ready for more. We did enough.”
“We aren’t letting you leave. Let’s clear the air,” Montana said to her and then looked at Curren and Presley.
“You four enjoy dinner. I don’t have time for games,” Curren said and walked away from them and into the house.
“Jesus, when the fuck did he become so paranoid?” Montana asked Presley.
“He’s been on edge all week. Some construction issues, then situations we’ve been dealing with. Ultimately, though, it was the latest news that some land we had been interested in purchasing and were told that it wasn’t for sale or zoned for commercial usage was sold to someone else. That person we’ve come across before, and one of the parcels isn’t far off the border of the town of Reward and the community expanding there.”
“How the hell can that be? I thought you guys purchased more land to ensure it would remain a town for military and first responders to settle down in,” Ortley asked.
“That was, well, is the plan. We still have hundreds of acres more, but we wanted that other land, and it was sold to this guy, Esmal Kabin. They already have temporary metal structures up and fencing going in on the perimeters,” Presley explained.
“Holy crap, no wonder he’s so angry,” Montana said. “He still didn’t have a right to accuse Isla of being some kind of spy or part of that.”
“No, Ortley, he didn’t,” Presley said, and he looked her over. “We have to be cautious. God knows the number of women who attempted to pull the wool over our eyes in the past,” Presley said and stared into her eyes.
Ortley slid his arm around her waist. “Isla isn’t one of them.”
It was hard to completely enjoy the rest of the time at the O’Rourke estate. Presley didn’t say much to her, just small talk, like he was being cordial, and forget about Curren. He joined them to eat dinner and then kept his distance. The fact that they had a personal chef and obviously were very wealthy was another thing that put her on edge. The brothers weren’t trusting at all. When Curren disappeared and then Presley walked out of the room, taking a phone call, and hadn’t returned, she sighed and enjoyed the time with Ortley and Montana.
Ortley caressed her hair and brought his lips to hers. He kissed her tenderly, and she got caught up in that kiss all too quickly. As he lifted her skirt and slid his hand between her legs, she gripped onto his arms and pulled back.
“Ortley.” She said his name and stepped away from him, fixed her skirt, and looked toward the doorway, afraid that Presley or Curren could appear.
Ortley took her hand and led her to the long couch in the formal living room. The lights were dim, and Montana was right here as Ortley sat down and pulled her onto his lap.
“Ortley, maybe we should call it a night.”
He shook his head and caressed along her thigh. “No, not yet. You aren’t going to start putting walls up.” He slid his palm up under her skirt and massaged her inner thighs.
“I know our brothers are a bit rough around the edges and untrusting. They have their reasons,” Montana said to her and joined in stimulating her calf.
“That’s an understatement, Montana. Your brother made some serious accusations.”
“Things have happened to him, to Presley, and when it comes to women, they don’t trust them easily. They’ll come around.”
She shook her head. “I don’t think so,” she said and then gasped low as Ortley’s fingers made contact with her panties. She lifted up, and Montana gripped her ankle.
“No, open up for us. Like you did this afternoon.”
“But your brothers—”
“Aren’t going to come back in here. They need time to process things. Curren never admits when he’s wrong. Presley is a lot like him,” Montana said to her and reached over to cup her cheeks and kiss her.
She had to tilt her head back, and in doing so, Ortley dipped her lower over Montana’s lap and then slid his fingers under her panties and straight to her cunt. He shifted one thigh up and plunged his fingers into her pussy.
“You’re sopping wet. Maybe you like the idea of us making you come right here in the open living room, where our brothers could come by and see you too? They would lose their minds, Isla. One look at this slick, wet, virgin pussy, and they would never be the same men again.”
She moaned louder into Montana’s mouth as Montana undid the buttons on her blouse and spread it open. He cupped her breast, and Ortley stroked her cunt faster.
“I need a taste,” Ortley said and moved his fingers from her pussy.
“Montana.”
“I got her,” he said after he lifted his mouth from her mouth. They maneuvered her to their liking. Ortley removed her thong panties, and she sat on the edge of the couch as Montana unclipped her bra.
“Montana, what if they come back in?” she asked, covering her breasts and bra before they fell.
“It wouldn’t be the end of the world. You are in charge of what happens. You decide. We know they’ll want you soon enough, but right now, you’re all ours, and we need some loving,” Montana told her.
Her bra fell from her breasts. Ortley maneuvered her lower so her ass and pussy hung over the couch. She lay there naked, and they went to town feasting on her. She cried out as Montana tugged hard on her nipple and Ortley lifted her thighs over his shoulders and plunged his tongue in and out of her pussy.
She didn’t know what she would do if Presley and Curren walked in right now. The attraction was there despite the attitudes. She could understand their fears. Women probably tried to use them for their money, but she didn’t like being accused of such things, nor having ulterior motives for being here.
“You’re so fucking hot and sexy. Goddamn, Ortley, look at her big tits. How plump and full they are. I can barely cover them with my hand. Look,” Montana said, and she moaned and tilted her pussy toward Ortley’s mouth.
“She sure is sexy, and ours. All ours. I need her next. Need a taste of her sweet cream,” Montana said, and she came again.
Ortley licked and suckled and then pulled back. “Go on, bro,” he said and moved away only for Montana to take his place. She was definitely out of her mind.
Montana knew his brothers could hear what was going on in the living room. He was a bit angry with them and the way they acted toward Isla, but he knew things were sinking in. Especially learning of her hard life and being a victim twice. Curren was probably looking up everything he could find on Isla, and that call Presley got was from Burbank. He heard him say his name, and he was a military friend with government clearance. They would realize she was the real deal, soon enough.
He stroked a finger into her pussy as his brother suckled her breast. He couldn’t seem to get enough of her, and he knew when they did make love, and hopefully all together with Presley and Curren as well, that she would be their woman, and they could have all the things they never thought they could have. He lowered his mouth to her pussy and licked along her clit. He plunged his tongue into her cunt and enjoyed tasting her, getting her scent on his lips and then making her thrust upward as he added a finger to her asshole. He pumped fingers into both her ass and pussy, his wrist aching from the movement, but she was lifting and moaning, and then cried out her release, and he pulled them out and licked her clean. When he eased her legs down, she looked content as Ortley stroked her cheeks.
“How was that sweetness?”
“Incredible,” she said, and Montana smirked.
“Just wait until we make love, fill every hole with cock, and claim you our woman forever.”
Her cheeks blushed, and her eyes glistened. “Someday, when I’m ready.” She reached out and cupped his cheek. He pressed over her between her legs and kissed her.
Chapter 3
Montana walked into the sheriff’s office to talk about the case where Isla was working. He hadn’t wanted to leave her this morning, and it was amazing that she spent the night between him and Ortley. He smiled to himself. Despite pleasuring one another, and not having sex, he felt content just holding her between them instead of bringing her home and going to bed alone. It was crazy. Even more so for Ortley, who was definitely showing a very possessive side of him. Leaving her in his brother’s arms felt good, and right. He would care for her and protect her, and maybe Presley and Curren would get their heads out of their asses sooner rather than later.
She had looked so beautiful and sexy this morning curled up against Ortley’s chest, his hand on her exposed ass. She insisted on wearing something to bed. Was so shy despite all the touching, licking and fooling around. Jesus, I need to focus here and stop fantasizing about the woman’s body.
He adjusted his stance as the sheriff finished up a conversation on the phone and then signed some papers Gladys, the secretary, brought into him. Montana was in a good mood. Things would progress nicely between him, Ortley, and Isla, and hopefully his brothers too. She would be perfect for Curren and Presley. She was gorgeous, sexy, smart, and classy, and when they found out she was a virgin, Curren and Presley would lose their minds. He wished he had a chance to tell them that. To see their expressions, and then the possessive desire as they finally made a move to secure this relationship. It had to happen. It just had to.
“Have a seat, Montana,” Sheriff Kane McCabe said to him and motioned with his hand for him to sit in the chair across from his desk. The sheriff leaned back as Montana took the seat.
“Got off the phone with Sheriff Patterson, over in Benter. Seems pretty cut-and-dried right now, but it’s the beginning of the investigation. The man, Sam Stealth, was definitely stealing money from Hagerty Canterberry. Pretty impressive stuff that Isla was able to find that out. Now the thing that concerns me is this Sam Stealth guy. He’s in the hospital with broken bones, a concussion, and internal injuries, and will be there for quite some time. He sustained those injuries in a car accident just a few weeks back. There’s an ongoing investigation into that.”
Montana scrunched his eyebrows together. “Ongoing investigation?”
“Someone ran him off the road. A truck or SUV. Mr. Stealth hasn’t exactly been cooperative, and Sheriff Patterson strongly believes that he’s lying, and that Stealth knows who ran him off the road.”
“Shit.”
“Exactly.”
“Now this investigation and the money trail just opened things up for the detectives, Texas Rangers, and maybe even the FBI. Isla is going to have one hell of a Monday morning at work tomorrow.”
Montana instantly felt concerned and a bit on edge.
“You and your brothers making some progress with her?” Kane asked.
He exhaled. “Ortley and I are. Taking things slow all things considered, but making progress definitely.”
“Heard about your lunch in town, and she’s receptive to your advances. All good things. Keep in mind, though, this could get stressful for her, and not to worry you, but both myself and Sheriff Patterson think there’s more to this whole thing, so precautions are necessary. We look out for our own, and Isla is a resident of Cherry Hill. Under such concerns for safety, I usually assign guardianship.”
“Not necessary. I’ll talk to her today. We’re going to be her guardians soon enough officially, so she’ll accept it earlier as a precaution,” Montana replied.
“Okay, I’ll speak to her as well.”
Just then the phone in the office rung. “Hold up, it’s Gladys. Hello?” Kane answered. He narrowed his eyes. “Okay put him through.” He covered the receiver.
“Sheriff Patterson calling.”
“Hey, Mike, how are you?”
Montana listened as Kane replied with small comments, wrote some things down, and then began to end the call. “That’s understandable and definitely deems precaution for Isla. One of her men is with me now. Yes, Montana O’Rourke. Yes, Ortley as well. No, I don’t believe so. It’s just a beginning start. I agree about erring on the side of caution as well. I’ll take care of things on this end. She will be at work Monday. Very good, let’s keep in touch throughout the investigation.” He ended the call, and Montana sat forward.
“Well, Sam Stealth’s apartment was broken into last night. Nothing was stolen, but it was ransacked, as if the person was looking for something specific. The sheriff and detectives are trying to get fingerprints, but it’s not looking promising.”
