It was other Elder Beings. Many of them, each as feathered and bird-headed as the first.
“And we Elder Beings will fly to his side. The rule of elf and man has failed to stop the doom of this world,” the strange bird-being said. “And so, we will fight together. All as one. For our very survival.”
Terak heaved a sigh of pained relief as he let his eyes close. They had done it. The Elder Beings were awakened, and they were going to fight alongside the last of the free races against the coming night.
