Loving Summer Page 5

by Elisa Leigh

“One day, I will own this too, wife,” I say getting a little ahead of myself.

“Promises, promises, husband,” she says moaning as I slam inside her tight pussy.

My hands grip her tits for leverage as I plow into her over and over.

She already had me on edge with her superb blowjob, but this is beyond compare. Her inner muscles are working me, and I am watching her juicy ass jiggle. I have no choice but to fill her pretty pussy again and again. She screams my name and pounds on the glass. I relish in it, knowing we are too far up for anyone to see her like this.

Loving Summer is the easiest thing I’ve ever done or ever will do. I am looking forward to having this woman by my side.

  This is everything.

  She is everything.

  Summer

  Eight months later

Drake got his wish. All it took was our first time, and he had me bred. I’m more than happy to be starting our family together. After my rough bout of morning sickness the first three months of my pregnancy, Drake begged me to stop working. I wouldn’t agree to it though. I love being a nurse. I love the work that I do and the people I get to help. This is who I am.

It’s the start of my shift, and I’ve just left one of my patients when a contraction hits and knocks the wind out of me. I grab onto the wall and try breathing through the pain. Once it passes, I walk to the nurse's station and take a seat next to Janice, who is sitting there staring at me.

“How far apart are they?” The tough as nails Janice leans over and asks.

I look at her out of the corner of my eye then look away and shrug. I’m not ready for this. I still have two weeks before he’s due to come. Another contraction hits, and it’s even stronger than the last one.

“So they’re three minutes apart? Did your water break yet? Or were you planning to work through your entire delivery? Maybe just the first part?” She deadpans.

After working with her for over two years, I still can’t get a solid read on her, is she joking or being a bitch? I’m about to reply, I mean I’ve already got a snarky come back planned out in my head and everything when my water breaks.

“Well, I guess that answers that one, doesn’t it? All right, get your ass up. On second thought, stay there, I’m gonna get a wheelchair.” She walks off to grab one of the wheelchairs we have ready for our patients.

Tori walks by and must see the look on my face, and she gives me a questioning look. “Is it time? Is the baby coming?”

I look down at my lap and back at her, and she squeals. “Oh my god! This is so exciting!” She picks up the phone and calls labor and delivery and lets them know I’m in labor and I’ll be up in a few minutes. “Have you called Drake yet to let him know?” I shake my head no, still in shock.

Janice arrives and helps me into the chair. Her and Tori fight over who gets to wheel me up. “Someone has to stay at the front desk,” Janice growls.

“You’re right, now get your ass back there. I’m taking her up.”

In the end, Janice relents and gives up the chair to Tori. When we’re out of earshot, we both burst into laughter. “I love her, and all, but I can’t believe she thought she was going to take you,” Tori says through her giggles.

When we get to my room, and I’m all settled, I call Drake. “Hey, baby. You doing okay?” He answers.

“She’s coming Drake, our baby is coming. My water just broke.” I say, leering our a quiet sob.

“Well, at least you’re already at the hospital. Tori with you?” He says all calm like.

I look at Tori who’s sitting beside me playing on her phone, purposely not looking at me. “She told you already, didn’t she?”

“I would never!” Tori cries out indignantly, and I start laughing again. The woman is a total drama queen, but I love her.

“Please get here soon. The contractions are getting closer together. I don’t want you to miss anything.”

“I’m already on the way baby girl. I’ll see you in ten minutes, tops.”

Betty, one of the nurses on staff walks in with a tray with what has to be the makings to start my I.V. “I gotta go, babe, they’re here to start my I.V. I'll see you soon.”

  “I love you, baby.”

  “I love you too.”

“Not more than I love you.”

Less than ten minutes later, Drake strolls in with Dr. Hernandez. He tries making chit chat, but I’m not in the mood. My pain is past a ten and I need this baby out, now. Forty-five minutes later with the help of Drake, Tori and my annoying yet awesome O.B. our daughter is born.

  Drake

  Ten Years Later

A few years ago, we moved off the island to Bluffton. We needed a bigger house. A much bigger house. Eight years and six kids later, we had no choice but to go off the island. With more land, I was able to build my wife the house of her dreams. We kept the beach house and use it as a timeshare, but we can stay at the beach whenever we want. I transferred to Bluffton’s Fire and Rescue as their chief. Summer commuted the ten minutes to the hospital up until she gave birth to our youngest a few months ago. She hasn’t decided if she’s going back to work or not yet, but she’s left the option open. I left work early today because our nine-year-old, Desi, has a dance recital tonight. The last one before summer camp starts next week. I promised her that I’d be here. After making a stop at the florist, I head home.

Once there, I open the front door, I hear a cacophony of sounds, the kids playing but they aren’t in the front of the house. I place the roses in the fridge and walk down the hall to the bedroom for a shower since there was a fire earlier that I was needed at. Fucking arson. As I enter my bedroom, my daughter is sitting at her mother’s vanity, getting her hair and makeup done. Summer is crying silently, but she is beaming with pride at the same time. I lean on the door jam just watching them.

“Hi, Daddy,” Desi says, noticing me through the mirror. When did she get so grown? I shake my head and walk towards them.

“Hi, button. You all set for tonight?” I ask, leaning down to kiss the top of her head, but she ducks out of the way. I feel mortally wounded, but I get it.

“Yes, Daddy. Geez, don’t mess up my hair,” she says, swatting me away from her.

“How was your day, babe?” Summer asks me, turning to greet me. When she leans in for what I assume is going to be a kiss, she gags instead and runs into the bathroom. I was pretty sure she was pregnant again, but that just proved it.

“What do think that was all about, button?”

“You stink. She did that earlier, too, but you really stink, so that’s probably it.”

“You go on and finish getting ready. We’ll be ready to leave at six-thirty,” I say looking at my watch.

“I’ll get Granny to help me,” she says, flitting off without looking back.

My parents live in the guest house off the pool. They love being around the kids, and if I am honest, it’s a built-in babysitting situation. I toss my work clothes in the designated hamper and walk into the bathroom naked. Summer looks up from brushing her teeth.

“How long have you known? I ask.

  “Known, what?”

“That you’re pregnant,” I say, turning the shower on.

“I’m not…,” she pauses, thinking for a minute. “Son of a bitch, how the fuck do you that?”

“I know you baby. I know you and believe me, I know your body.”

  “I know you do.

“You’ve made me the happiest man in the world. Giving me all these babies,” I say, pulling her closer to me.

“Well, you gave them to me too,” she says. I lean in and kiss her. She moans a little but pushes me away.

“Get in the shower. You really do, stink.” When I quirk an eyebrow at her, she continues. “You know that Desi talks really loudly.” She bursts into laughter as she leaves the bathroom.

“Funny,” I say getting in the shower.

  By six-thi
rty, Desi, Summer, and I are in the car and headed over to the high school auditorium. The other kids are with my parents for homemade pizza night. When we arrive, Desi runs off with her friends backstage.

Our little ballerina dances perfectly, but she falls asleep in the car on the way home. I carry her inside and put her in bed. Our only other girl, Greta, is seven. They share a room even though they don’t want to. We have several extra bedrooms, just waiting to be filled.

“Daddy,” Greta whispers as I cover her back up, but she sits back up.

  “Yes, princess?” I whisper back.

“I’ve been waiting for you. You have to get your uniform on. We have to save Julie.” At first, I am not sure if she is just talking in her sleep, but when she grabs my tie, I know she’s awake.

“Julie? From school?” I know they are friends, but I don’t think she has been over here to play in a long time. I’ve been so busy at work, I didn’t stop and think about it.

“Yes. Julie. You know Julie, Daddy. She never has any food. I hear her tummy. I share mine with her every day, but it’s not a lot,” she says yawning.

“Go back to sleep. We will save Julie tomorrow, how’s that?”

“Don’t forget, Daddy.” I lean down and kiss her cheek and close the door halfway. I meet Summer in the hallway.

  “Boys, okay?” I ask.

“Yep. Sleeping like logs. Desmond and Angelo are on the floor in Ben’s room, but they made a fort. Adam is with my mom. She said he was fussy, but finally fell asleep on her chest.”

  “Should I go get him?”

“She said he was fine. She still has a bottle over there from earlier.” Adam is only five months old.

“What do you know about Julie McKinney’s home life?” I ask as we are getting undressed.

“That’s a sad story. Breaks my heart. She used to come to the hospital a lot with her mom. They told us she was “accident prone,” but I knew better. She’s in foster care right now. Dad’s in jail, mom split. Why do you ask?” With everything that has been going on since the kids were born, it’s no surprise we haven’t talked about her time in a group home since she first told me, but now I want to know everything.

“Greta says we have to save her. She’s been sharing her lunch with her. I am not one hundred percent sure she wasn’t asleep.”

“That makes sense. There was never enough food in the group home. Tori and I used to steal food.” I let that sink in. I hate that my wife and her best friend had to go through that. I hate that my seven year old has to witness it with her best friend. Climbing into bed, I lay and stare at the ceiling for a long time. I don’t hear Summer’s soft snores, so I turn to find her already facing me.

“We are going to save her right,” she asks me softly.

“Yes. I will make some calls in the morning,” I assure her.

  “Good.”

Two weeks later, after fast-tracking our foster license based on our careers, we welcomed Julie into our home. Greta and Julie have been inseparable. Julie calls Greta a superhero. Two months later, Julie was flourishing. No more hunger pains. A year later, we adopted her. We had to. Though, the guys and I are outnumbered now. I don’t know what I’ll do when these girls start dating, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

I hate to think that a car accident brought Summer to me, but it did. While the circumstances were less than ideal, I knew without a doubt that she was mine and I am looking forward to seeing what the next fifty years hold in store for us.
