Kate was already in mid-kick and was about to make contact. She wasn't able to stop her hard kick in time. She ended up kicking Mandy in the crotch instead!
Lee let go of Mandy and she dropped to the floor. "I can't believe you kicked my daughter!" Lee snapped.
Kate dropped to the floor and began comforting her girlfriend. She looked up at Lee "This only happened because you placed your daughter in harm's way!"
Lee walked out of the room laughing and Barb sat down on the floor by her daughter, and Kate.
"Darling, I'm so sorry!" Kate cried. "I didn't mean to kick you!"
Mandy was grabbing herself. "I know." she moaned.
Kate rubbed Mandy's arm comforting her. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm okay." Mandy said. She sat up, got back to her feet and got back onto her chair.
Kate got up and held out her hand to help Barb up. "Thank you." Barb said. The three of them sat down at the table again.
"Tell me, did Mandy's father tell you what exactly he is planning on doing?" Kate asked Barb.
Barb looked at her daughter. She could see the fear in her eyes. "I believe he is planning on murdering her." Barb teared up and looked at Kate. "Please protect my child." she pleaded again.
"I promise, I'll protect her."
Barb got up and walked up to the guest bedroom where Lee was laying in the bed. "This bed is too soft!" Lee complained as Barb entered the room.
Barb walked over to her husband and smacked him across the face. "You are eviler than I thought! I can't believe you would use my daughter as a shield for yourself!"
"She's my daughter too." Lee snapped.
"Oh, now she's your daughter too?" Barb snapped. "Make up your mind! One moment you claim she isn't your child anymore, then the next she is? You know, a real father would never do something like that to their child!"
Back downstairs, Mandy and Kate were sitting out on the back deck steps. "I can't believe your father did that to you." Kate said.
"I believe it." Mandy told Kate. "That was just the beginning. Who knows what else he'll do to me."
Kate put her arm around Mandy and pulled her close to her side. "I know. Don't worry, I'll do my best to protect you."
The sun started to set, and it began to get a little chilly outside. The two women went inside, and up to bed. Neither one could fall asleep. They both had a lot on their minds. Mandy rolled over and looked at Kate who was already laying on her side looking at her.
"I want to have sex." Mandy said. "If my father is planning on attacking me so badly, I want to get in as much sex as I can. You know, before I can't no more."
Kate leaned over and kissed Mandy on the lips. "Okay my dear, let's have sex."
The two women took off their clothes and tossed them to the floor. Kate got on top of Mandy and began to french kiss her. Both their hands slid down each other's naked body and onto the other one's pussy. They slowly began to stick their fingers into each other.
Mandy let out a huge moan. Her moan was loud enough to wake up her father who was sleeping down the hall. Lee sat up fast and he was furious! He knew what that sound was and he was not about to let them finish!
Lee quietly got out of bed so he wouldn't wake up Barb and crept down the hallway. He tried to open Mandy and Kate's bedroom door, but it was locked. He knew that this was the only way out of the room, so he stayed there and was willing to wait for them to open the door. Even if it would take all night.
Inside the room, Mandy and Kate finished having sex got their pajamas on and fell asleep.
Chapter 16
The next morning, Mandy woke up before Kate. She laid in bed and waited for her girlfriend to wake up. She was too terrified of her father to leave the bedroom alone. When Kate finally woke up, Mandy asked her "Can you check and make sure the hallway is safe?"
"Good morning to you too."Kate responded barely awake. "Yes, I'll check." she said with a smile. Kate slowly walked over to the bedroom door and unlocked it. Little did she know, Lee was still waiting on the other side.
Lee heard the door unlock. He already had his hand on the knob and was able to barge the door open before Kate had a chance to open the door from the other side. Lee swung the door open so fast, that it took Mandy and Kate by surprise. The doorknob ended up hitting Kate hard in the gut!
Kate grabbed her stomach with both her arms and she dropped to the floor. Mandy sat up in bed fast. Her father was charging at her. "FUCK!" she screamed. She got out of bed as fast as she could to try to run away.
Lee tackled Mandy to the floor face first, he flipped her around and pulled the spear out of his pocket.
Mandy looked up at her father in horror. "Please no!" she pleaded.
Lee sat on Mandy's legs preventing her from getting up. "I'm putting an end to this!" He raised his arm up high with the spear and began to rapidly bring the spear down towards his daughter's heart!
"NO!" Mandy screamed in horror.
Kate managed to get back to her feet and she shouted at Lee. "You hurt her, I'll kill you!" she threatened.
Lee froze in panic and turned his head fast. He was afraid that Kate might have her gun again. When he froze, the spear was inches away from Mandy's chest.
"Get off of her!" Kate demanded.
"And what if I don't?" Lee asked.
Kate lunged towards Lee trying to tackle him off of her girlfriend.
Lee quickly got off of Mandy when Kate was in mid-jump. Kate ended up landing right on top of Mandy.
"Ugh!" Mandy grunted.
Kate looked at Mandy in horror. "I'm so sorry!"
"It's okay, I don't mind. I'd rather have you jumping on me than my father stabbing me!"
Lee stood laughing at the two women. "Oh, I'm definitely enjoying this!"
Kate got up off of Mandy. She got right in Lee's face and began shouting at him.
In the guest bedroom, Barb was waked up by the shouting coming from the other room. She rushed over, Kate was screaming at Lee. "How dare you attempt to stab my girlfriend, your child!"
Lee was shouting right back at her. "How dare you engage in homosexual sin with my daughter!"
"Being a homosexual is not a sin!" Kate snapped back. "What you are attempting to do to your own daughter is a sin!" Kate took her hand and smacked Lee across the face!
Lee grabbed his face and glared at Kate who stood there in shock. Kate was frozen in shock. She looked down at Lee's hand. He was still grasping the spear.
Kate began to sweat. She began to wonder if Lee was going to retaliate and attack her with the spear because she just smacked him! She looked into his eyes nervously.
Lee's eyes were filled with hatred. His face was getting redder with each passing moment. Kate knew he was furious!
Just then, Barb came rushing in and smacked the spear right out of Lee's hand!
The spear hit the hardwood floor with a loud thud! Kate bent down and picked it up fast. "I'll put this in a safe place." she stated. "Somewhere he can't get his hands on it again!"
Lee lunged towards Kate shouting "That is not your property! Give it back!" he demanded.
Barb put her arms around Lee, trying to hold him back. "I've had enough of this Lee!" Barb shouted.
Lee struggled to break free from his wife, but couldn't succeed. "Let me go!" he pleaded.
"No! I know what you are going to do!" Barb shouted. "I'm not going to let you hurt either of them again!"
Kate took the spear and locked it up in her safe, where only she knew the code to get into it. "There!" she stated as she wiped her hands. She walked up to Lee and looked him in the eyes. "Don't try any funny business. I will know if you break into my safe."
"How would you know?" Lee asked.
"There's a hidden camera inside." Kate informed him. "It's linked to the police station where I work and I can have you arrested faster than you can comprehend."
Meanwhile, Mandy was still laying on the floor frozen in fear. Everything going on around her faded away. The room was sp
inning and she could no longer make out what people were saying. All she realized was, she just had a very close call and her father was willing to go as far as murdering her because of her sexuality.
For the next eight months, Lee would try to attack Mandy any chance he got. It got to the point where Mandy would go into the office even if she didn't need to work. She just wanted a safe place to hide.
Mandy was hardly ever home and Kate was ready to put an end to this toxic relationship between Mandy and her father, once and for all.
One evening, Kate cooked a large dinner. She set the table with the fanciest settings they had and opened a bottle of champagne.
"Dinner is ready." She yelled to everyone from the Dining room.
The three of them came in and were amazed. Even Lee! They sat down, and Kate held out her hands to each side. One towards Mandy, the other towards Lee. "Let's say a prayer."
Mandy grabbed Kate's hand and her mother's hand. Barb reached over and grabbed Lee's hand.
Lee raised an eyebrow. A prayer? He thought. He wasn't making any attempt to grab Kate's hand. Barb looked at him. "Come on Lee, grab her hand! Dinner is getting cold."
Slowly he reached over and grabbed Kate's hand. Kate squeezed Lee's hand tightly and everyone closed their eyes.
"Please bless us all with love and acceptance. Help us find peace in our differences instead of fear and hatred. Please protect the woman I love from the evil that has entered into our loving home. Please help me protect my beautiful girlfriend from harm. Also, please remind her father that is a father's duty to protect his child no matter what. Amen."
Lee slowly opened his eyes. When he did, he knew the message was for him because he had three women's eyes locked onto him. He looked across the table and for the first time, he could see the sadness, fear, and pain in his daughter's eyes when she looked at him.
He put his head down in shame and began eating. Not a single word was exchanged between anyone during the meal. When everyone was done eating, Kate and Mandy cleared the table together.
Lee went upstairs to the guest bedroom and locked himself in the room alone. He pulled out his wallet and took out a small photo of Mandy from her preschool graduation. He smiled. He saw how happy she was, so full of life. He began tearing up as he flashed back to Mandy's childhood. All the piggy-back rides, all the days at the park with her. Every little smile she gave him when she was a little girl. He realized that even though his daughter was a lesbian, she is still that sweet little girl that used to run up to him full of joy when she saw him. Now, his daughter is terrified of him. "What have I done!" Lee said to himself.
The last month has shown him how happy his daughter was with Kate. He actually began to like Kate. She was kind and treated everyone with respect as best as she could.
Lee went back downstairs and the three women were watching a movie on TV. Lee sat down next to Mandy. Mandy leaned away, but Lee put his arm around his daughter in a loving way.
Kate kept a close eye on Lee. This was not normal, what was he up to? She thought.
"I'm sorry." Lee said. "I know sorry isn't a strong enough word, but I've had a change of heart. Your sexuality doesn't change anything about you."
Mandy's eyes widened. Was she really hearing this? She turned her head and looked into her father's eyes. He had been crying. She'd never seen her father cry in her life.
Lee looked over at Kate. "I can tell my child really loves you. Please take care of her. Also, if you two ever choose to get married, you have my full blessing."
Barb, Kate, and Mandy couldn't believe it. Lee's voice was sincere. Mandy turned and gave her father a big hug. "Thank you. This means the world to me." She whispered in his ear.
Lee smiled and whispered back "I love you, Mandy."
A month later, Barb and Lee were able to get a flight ticket back to Alabama. Kate drove them to the airport and Mandy rode along. When they arrived at the airport, Lee hugged his daughter as tight as he could. "I love you and I am so sorry for everything." He then walked over to Kate and gave her a tight hug as well. "You're a good woman. Take care of my daughter."
Kate smiled. "I will."
Barb and Lee walked into the airport. Barb was proud of her husband. "I'm happy you finally had a change of heart."
"I just realized, she will always be our daughter no matter what." Lee told Barb. "I can't waist the rest of my life hating our daughter for loving someone she really wants to be with. She deserves to be loved and to be happy. I'm a horrible person for trying to prevent her from loving who she wants to love for this many years."
Barb smiled, but she told Lee. "It's good to hear those words come from you, but the emotional scars you put on Mandy will live on with her for the rest of her life. Don't be surprised if she never fully trusts you again."
Chapter 17
Later that year, around the holidays Kate noticed something was bothering her girlfriend.
She sat down close to Mandy on the couch and put her arm around her. "What is on your mind?" she asked.
"It's been so long since I've spent Christmas with my family." Mandy said somberly. She looked into Kate's eyes. "I want to take a trip to Alabama."
Kate smiled. "I believe we can arrange that." she leaned over and kissed Mandy on the lips. Kate got up and walked into the home office. She went over to the safe and unlocked it. She didn't tell Mandy, but she had already purchased two airline tickets for them to go visit their families that holiday season. She pulled out the airline tickets and went back to the parlor.
She sat back down next to Mandy and handed her an envelope with the airline tickets inside. "Open it." Kate said with a smile.
Mandy looked at Kate confused. "What is this?"
"Open it."
Mandy ripped open the envelope and pulled out the airline tickets. "Wait, are you serious?" she asked Kate in amazement!
"I'm serious."
Mandy gave Kate a huge hug and kiss. "Thank you so much! I love you!"
Kate laughed. "I know." she said with a wink. "Besides I was missing my family as well."
A month later, Mandy and Kate arrived at the airport near their families homes in Alabama a week before Christmas. James, Kate's brother picked them up from the airport and took them to Sally's house.
When they arrived, Sally rushed out to meet them at the car. She was ecstatic! Kate and Mandy got out of Jame's car. Kate rushed over to her mother with open arms and gave her a ginormous hug. "Mom!" she yelled. "I've missed you so much!"
"I've missed you too!" Sally replied. She put her hands on the top of Kate's arms and held her so she could get a good look at her. "Look at you! You're looking quite fine young lady!"
Kate laughed. "Why, thank you."
Sally let go of her daughter. She walked over to Mandy and hugged her as well. "I couldn't be happier right now!" she told her.
"Me neither." Mandy responded. "You have an amazing daughter I must say."
Sally smiled. "My daughter has the most amazing girlfriend!" She gave Mandy a wink. "Let's all go inside."
The four of them entered the house. Kate, Sally, and James had a surprise for Mandy inside.
When they got inside, they all sat down in the front parlor and began making small talk. Sally stood up from her rocking chair. "Excuse me a moment, I will be right back." Sally left the room and went out onto the back deck where Lee and Barb were sitting.
"It's time!" She told them with a smile.
Barb and Lee got up from the patio chairs and went inside. Sally returned into the parlor with Lee and Barb.
Mandy was in complete shock! She was amazed that her father was there considering his views on people with different skin color than his! Either way, she was happy to see them.
She got up and gave her parents each a hug, and a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so happy to see you both here!"
"We're happy to see you too." Lee responded. "Sally is a wonderful woman. I now know where Kate gets it from."
Mandy's heart was filled
with joy! She looked over at Kate, who was wiping a tear from her eye. "Darling, are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine." Kate told Mandy. "I'm just so happy for you!"
Lee and Barb sat down on the couch next to Kate and Mandy. "I have a proposition." Lee stated. "Why don't all of us celebrate Christmas at our place." He looked over at James and Sally. "You both are more than welcome to join too. James, bring your family."
Barb looked at her husband filled with joy! "I love that idea!" She leaned over and kissed him on the lips.
Sally and James both smiled. "We would love that." Sally responded.
That Christmas, Mandy's family, and Kate's family joined together for a beautiful Christmas dinner. James brought his wife and two daughters with him.
When James and his wife arrived, Barb answered the door. To her surprise, the lady who wouldn't let her get a last minute flight ticket was her daughter's girlfriend's sister-in-law. The two women looked at each other.
"You look familiar." Jame's wife stated.
Since she caused a minor scene at the airport that one time, Barb didn't want to remind her who she was. "I guess I just have one of those faces." she laughed.
Meanwhile, Lee was in the kitchen cooking dinner for everyone with Mandy and Kate's help. "I really enjoy this time with you two." Lee stated with a smile.
"We enjoy this too." Kate told him.
They finished cooking dinner and the three of them set the large dining room table together. When the table was all set, Kate went into the sitting room where everyone else was. "Dinner is ready!" She told them.
Everyone sat down at the table and dug in! The meal lasted a good hour with everyone talking and laughing. When dinner was finished, they all went upstairs to the large recreational room above the 5 car garage. A large Christmas tree was the centerpiece of the room, with lots of presents that covered the area around the tree.
Everyone sat down and began to open their presents. After all the presents were opened, Kate grabbed Mandy's hand and looked at everyone. "If you will pardon us, I want to go have a little private time with my girlfriend."
Kate and Mandy left the room and went outside. The two women walked down the road holding hands. "I have some news I want to share with you." Kate told Mandy.
