Daya shifted her head which was laying on his shoulder to look up at him.
“The Beta’s mate wasn’t as controlled as you were.” Garin grinned down at her a heat darkening his blue gaze. “In fact, from what I was told, Whitney is in the infirmary with severe injuries. It is surprising that the Alpha let it go that far, but seems Whitney overstepped herself from the second of her return. The Alpha Female had words with her, but she was ignored which didn’t improve relations between the two of them.”
Daya sighed feeling her body curve into his own while her blood began to warm up at the heat she could see in his eyes. “Well, she was the one who wanted to go back.”
“She did,” Garin agreed in a husky voice sliding down in the bed. “But Whitney assumed that she would go back in a different position then when she left. If we had mated back then, she would’ve been a mate of one of the fighter wolves instead of a just a she-wolf of the pack.”
At his words, Daya’s eyes went wide and she went to get up only for Garin to settle on her body pushing her down into the mattress.
“Whitney had wanted to elevate her position in the pack, any pack,” Garin amended running kisses down her neck, and Daya let out a soft moan tilting her head to the side for him to have better access. “But enough about Whitney, we have better things to do.”
Daya giggled which Garin stifled with his lips passion flowing through them.
“Better things?” Daya teased huskily when Garin released her lips sliding down her neck.
“Yes,” Garin’s breath waffled across her skin making her shiver with anticipation. “But there is something that we need to talk about.”
“All right,” Daya’s voice was low and breathless.
“I was talking with Trevor.” Garin lifted himself so he hovered over her, and Daya looked up at him with a questioningly look. “I was thinking it was time we moved into our own place.”
Daya’s breath stilled in her chest, but her eyes started to sparkle. “You mean moving out into one of the houses?”
Garin nodded his head watching her intently passion put on hold for the moment. “What do you think?”
“I love the idea.” Daya’s arms slid up around his neck and tightened lightly. “We won’t be far from the pack house…”
“Yet we will have our own personal space and a room for Jackie.” His eyes drifted to the crib which took up one corner of the room before going back to Daya. “Besides, I was thinking that another one…”
He grinned down at her when Daya gave him a glare a rueful look on her face. “I was hoping this time, I would be able to tell you first,” she said quietly.
“Sorry, honey, but I’m attuned to you so well that the minute I entered the room, I knew.” Garin leaned down to nuzzle her neck delight and male satisfaction vibrating through him.
Daya let out a breath before she shook her head giving him a soft, endearing smile. “So, I take it that you are happy about adding to our family.”
Garin growled in response and kissed her passionately pushing every other thought from Daya’s mind, but one thought lingered even as the passion flared between them just like the first day they met.
She had finally found the place she belonged.
