Snowed In Anthology Page 36

Their tongues danced as Logan tugged Shawn’s shoulder. Shawn got the message and deftly straddled Logan’s lap, their chests pressed against one another, and what had started as a simple kiss became an all-consuming heat guiding them. Hands moved everywhere, and soon, shirts got tossed to the ground. When he laid eyes on Shawn’s toned chest, Logan growled.

Their eyes met and Logan remembered the daddy comment. He’d never role-played that particular theme, but the idea of Shawn calling him “daddy” made him rock-hard. He slid his hand into Shawn’s hair and held tight. Shawn’s gasp let Logan know he was on to something.

“What would you do if I ordered you to strip? Would you be a good boy?”

Shawn eyes darkened and his cheeks flushed. “Yes,” he whispered.

“Yes…?” he pushed. He wanted to hear the words.

“Yes, Daddy. I’d…do anything you ordered me to,” Shawn said shyly, but kept his eyes on Logan’s, desire emanating from him.

  Holy fuck, that was hot.

Bailey barked and they both turned.

Logan laughed. “I think he’s trying to figure out what the hell is going on.”

Shawn gave a shaky laugh himself and started to slide off Logan’s lap.

But Logan grabbed his wrist. “Where are you going?”

“Umm…” His eyes flicked toward Bailey. “I thought…”

Logan grinned. “I’ve wanted to kiss you all day, and now that I have, and it was even better than I imagined, you’re staying right here.”

Shawn smiled back, their lips only centimeters apart, and Logan felt the hot breath on his skin. “You’re bossy. It’s hot.”

  Bailey barked again.

Shawn laughed. “I think Bailey agrees. But…maybe we should take things a little slower.”

Logan traced his finger along Shawn’s jawline and down his neck. “I get it. But just how slow are we talking?”

Shawn let his head fall back. “God, I like when you touch me.”

“That’s good, because I’ve just recently realized how much I like it and I plan on doing it a lot.”

Shawn brought up his head and stared at him. “But we’re going to be living next door to each other and that could be…complicated. I know…I’m jumping ahead. We just met. One night of hot sex could be all there is to this. Which normally…would be…well, awesome, actually. But I have a daughter…”

“And I’m going to be your neighbor.” Logan sighed. “I get it. I do. And to be honest, I admire you for it.”

Shawn offered a tentative smile and slid off his lap, sitting on the sofa and leaning back with a sigh. Logan immediately missed having the guy on his lap. He faced Shawn and reached for his hand. When Shawn threaded his fingers with Logan’s, Logan’s heart swelled. Something was happening between them. Was there such a thing as love at first sight? Was it the storm? The nearness?

He stared into Shawn’s gorgeous blue eyes and knew the answer. There was a lot to figure out, but they met today for a reason. He’d never been surer of anything. His skin tingled and his heartbeat roared in his ears as images of a future flashed in his mind. He and Shawn cuddling on the sofa. Clem sharing her homework with them. The three of them taking Bailey to the park. Picnics. Family events. A second dog. Smiles. Happiness. Love. It was all so clear, and for once, he was at a loss for words. Shawn wasn’t, though.

“Shit!” He pulled back his hand and stood. “What the hell was that?”

Logan blinked, the movie playing in his head switching off. “What?” Had he upset Shawn?

Shawn paced the living room. “Didn’t you feel that tingling between our hands? Like electricity?”

  “Oh. You felt that, too?”

Shawn’s eyes widened. “Holy shit. You actually did feel it?”

Logan nodded, not sure where Shawn was going with this.

  “Did your heart race?”

Logan smiled slowly. “My heart’s been racing since I met you.”

Shawn blushed, but shook his head. “No, seriously. Did it?”

  Logan nodded again. “Yes.”

Shawn took a deep breath. “Did you see…a future?”

Shit. What? Logan sat up straighter. “You saw that…the cuddling—”

  “Picnics…the park with—”

  “Bailey. And a second dog.”

  “A second dog.”

They stared at each other until they both chuckled nervously.

“It was so…” Shawn shook his head.

  “Intense. Real?”

  “Yeah.”

Shawn finally quit pacing and sat on the sofa. “What…what does that mean?”

Logan grinned and reached for his hand again. “I think it means that your hamster is a matchmaker and the universe decided if we were too stupid to figure out the message, it would just make sure we were snowed in together.”

Shawn laughed, but rolled his eyes. “I’m fairly certain Charlie couldn’t care less about my love life.”

“Maybe. But I admit, I’m pretty interested in your love life.”

  Shawn’s eyebrows raised.

“Actually, I’m interested in everything about you, Shawn.” Logan trailed a finger down the middle of Shawn’s chest, smiling when the man shivered. “For instance, what’s your favorite food?”

Shawn trembled more as Logan’s finger traced along the waistband of his jeans. “Um…I like…um, pepperoni pizza.”

Logan tucked his fingers into Shawn’s waistband, tugging him closer. “Pepperoni pizza? I’m a supreme pizza man, myself. But pepperoni is a close second,” he murmured, their gazes holding.

  “Supreme?”

“What’s your favorite color?” Logan used his other hand to cup Shawn’s cheek, stroking his skin.

  “Green. I-I like green.”

  “Purple.”

  “Purple?”

Their lips were so close, Logan could feel Shawn’s breath on his. “Uh-huh. I have a tattoo of paw prints…in purple.”

  “You do?”

“You’ll have to find it if you want to see it, though.”

Shawn swallowed hard as Logan claimed his lips, wrapping him up in his arms, reveling in the feel of their heated skin pressed together. Shawn’s mouth opened and Logan’s tongue swept in, tasting the sweetness. He couldn’t get enough, and before he knew it, he had Shawn under him, moaning. Bailey’d jumped down with a huff and made himself comfortable on the floor. Shawn’s hands roamed his back, and Logan couldn’t remember ever enjoying another man’s touch as much as he did Shawn’s.

Their sweet kiss turned feverish and wild until Shawn pulled away his head. “We need to slow down.”

“Why? We can’t disappoint the universe,” Logan whispered, his hand winding into Shawn’s hair and stroking.

“No. I need to slow down. I haven’t been this ready this fast since I was a teenager.”

“That’s so fucking hot, Shawn. Don’t hold back.”

“Seriously, Logan. I’m going to come in my damn pants.”

Logan gyrated his hips and moaned when their hard lengths slid together. He pressed a soft kiss to Shawn’s lips. “Come with me, Shawn. Just let go. I want to make you come.”

Shawn threw his arms around Logan and pulled him in for a kiss, and within seconds they were thrusting together, moaning, kissing, hands on skin. When Shawn cupped Logan’s ass, the heat from his hands nearly burned his skin and he almost lost it. But he wanted to push Shawn over the edge first. He placed hot wet kisses down his cheek and neck and the little high-pitched mewls coming from Shawn grew louder.

“Come for me, Shawn. Such a beautiful boy. Show me how good you feel.”

Shawn thrust up hard and cried, “Yes!” His body froze and he moaned loud and deep as his release came.

Logan watched the passion flash across his face and he knew he’d never forget the first time he’d seen Shawn come. He gave in to the pleasure himself and felt the wet heat jet out of him as bliss rippled through him, wave after wave.

&n
bsp; “Shawn…Shawn,” he murmured. “So good.”

They finally fell back to Earth and found themselves staring into each other’s eyes. “God. You’re beautiful, Shawn.”

A blush covered the man’s cheeks and Logan’s heart flipped. There wasn’t anything he didn’t like about Shawn. He kissed Shawn and they held each close for a few minutes until they needed to get out of their clothes, which, of course, led to sharing a shower, which led to the bedroom.

Logan decided he very much liked snowstorms if he could spend the time with Shawn.

  Chapter 5

  Shawn

His eyes fluttered open at the bright sunlight filtering in through the window, and for just a moment, he was confused to find his head resting on a chest. A muscular, slightly hairy chest. Until the memories of the day and night before flooded back. Shawn grinned and wanted to stay in Logan’s arms, but his bladder was calling the shots and he had to take care of business.

As he tried to quietly slide out of the bed, Logan wrapped his arm around him, holding tight.

  “Logan,” Shawn whispered.

“Stay,” Logan murmured, his voice gravelly with sleep.

  “I’ll be right back.”

Shawn flung back the covers and hurriedly made his way into the master bathroom. He was naked and the cold air gave him goosebumps, so he rushed to do his business and slipped back into bed. Logan pulled him close and kissed the top of his head.

  Bailey padded in and barked.

“Okay, buddy. I hear you.” Logan sighed. “I’m going to let him out.”

“I should check on Charlie. Make sure he has enough food and maybe some more bedding.”

Shawn climbed out of bed and slipped on a pair of boxers, then pulled on a pair of socks, a T-shirt, and joggers before checking on the hamster. He saw the mess on Clem’s floor and realized he’d never vacuumed, so once he’d made sure Charlie was taken care of, he cleaned up.

He wasn’t sure what was going to happen during the day. They’d had a great time all night, and a quick glance out the window showed the snow was still coming down, so Logan couldn’t leave yet—not that Shawn wanted him to leave. He felt comfortable around him and was eager to spend more time with him.

“Woo-hoo! It’s freaking cold out there,” Logan called. Shawn entered the kitchen and found the man wiping down Bailey. Logan smiled. “That was the fastest I’ve ever seen him pee. He nearly tackled me coming back inside.”

Shawn squatted next to him and patted his head. “Poor Bailey, having to go out in this. How about we give you some breakfast and you go rest on the sofa?”

The dog shook his whole body and they both laughed. “Clearly he likes the idea,” Logan said.

Shawn retrieved the bowls they’d used last night for Bailey and filled one with fresh water, while Logan poured dog food into the other. Bailey wagged his tail and dove in quickly, clearly eager to get to the resting part of the day.

“Well, we should think about breakfast, too. What do you like?”

Logan grinned and stood in front of Shawn. “I could have another helping of last night.”

Shawn’s knees went weak and he held on to Logan’s arms. “I-I think that could be arranged. But how about some actual food for sustenance?”

Logan cocked his head and laughed. “Okay. As for breakfast, I’m a granola-bar, bowl-of-cereal kind of guy. Don’t do a lot of cooking.”

Shawn opened the refrigerator door. “Well, if you’re going to be with me, you’re going to be eating a lot healthier than that. You need protein in the morning. How about scrambled eggs with spinach and roasted red peppers? Maybe some feta?”

When Logan didn’t answer, Shawn turned to find him staring at him.

  “What? You don’t like eggs?”

“No, love eggs. That sounds great. Did you mean that, though?”

Shawn scrunched his brow. “Mean what?”

“That we’re going to ‘be together’?”

Fuck. Was that what he’d said? Heat flooded his face and he tore away his gaze. It was way too early to have said something like that, wasn’t it?

Logan his hands on Shawn’s cheeks. “Don’t look away. I don’t ever want us to be afraid to say anything to each other. I get that this isn’t how a relationship typically starts, but you can’t deny there’s something between us, Shawn. Something special. I’ve never met anyone like you.”

Shawn’s heart raced and he took a deep breath. “I feel the same, Logan. But…isn’t it fast?”

“Who cares if it is? My mom and dad got married six weeks after meeting each other.”

The man was right. Who cared how fast things went as long as they were happy? “It could get complicated. I have Clem and you live next door and—”

“What’s complicated? I have no problem with you having a daughter. She’s adorable. And I get she comes first no matter what. And as far as living next door? Less time spent driving over to each other’s houses!”

Shawn laughed and hugged him. “Okay, let’s go for it. It’s crazy to jump into something, but I admit, it feels right.”

“Glad we got that figured out. If I’ve already hooked you, I can stop trying to hold in my gut all the time. God, that’s wearing me out.”

Shawn rolled his eyes. “Please. I saw you naked. There was no ‘gut’ to hold in.”

  “Speaking of naked…”

  “Eat first!”

Logan laughed. “Fine. What can I do to help?”

As it had been the night before, creating a meal was nearly effortless. They worked well together, and breakfast was on the table in a heartbeat.

Once they’d eaten and cleaned up, they decided to lounge on the sofa and find a movie to watch. Once they’d settled on Thor: Ragnarok, Shawn grabbed a blanket from the linen closet and they settled in together, with Bailey at their feet.

They spent the day talking, getting to know each other, and making out, among other things. Shawn was pretty sure it was the most romantic day of his life.

When his phone rang, he held it up to show Logan it was his daughter. Logan paused the current movie, Spiderman, so Shawn would be able to talk.

  “Hi, honey!”

“Hi, Daddy! It’s snowing. A lot!”

“I know. Here, too. It looks like there is two feet of snow outside.”

  Bailey jumped up and barked.

“Sorry,” Logan whispered. “He knows the word ‘outside.’ I’ll let him out.”

“Daddy! You have a dog over there? Without me? Is it ours? Did you get me a dog?”

“Calm down, honey. No. It’s actually our new neighbor’s dog. Its name is Bailey.”

  “Why do you have him?”

“Well, the new neighbor came to see his house last night, and then the storm came and his truck won’t drive. So he has to stay here until the storm passes and we can get his truck working.”

“Oh. Okay. I hope he’s still there when I come home tomorrow. Grandma says if the snow is still bad, I might have to stay another day.”

“She’s right, Clem. We can’t take any chances.”

  “Okay. We’re making cookies.”

“Sounds yummy. Hey, Clem? You’re never going to guess who our new neighbor is.”

  “Who?”

“Dr. Copeland. The vet we met yesterday.”

“The one that saved Charlie’s life?”

Shawn chuckled. “Uh, yeah. That one.”

“Awesome! Did he look at Charlie again? Is he still okay?”

“Oh, yes. Charlie is definitely okay. I gave him a treat last night so he was happy,” Shawn told her, deciding to skip the whole “Bailey-tried-to-eat-Charlie” thing.

They talked for a few more minutes, and by the time Logan rejoined him on the couch, Bailey close behind, he had hung up.

“She said to tell you ‘hi,’” Shawn told him.

  “You said I was here?”

Shawn shrugged. “I don’t want to lie to her.”

  Logan nodded. “I get t
hat. Okay. Great. She knows I’m over here.”

“Well, she knows you’re our new neighbor, nothing more. We’ll have to take things slow with her. I get that you and I have decided to move fast, but I can’t take the chance with my daughter. For now, we’ll have to say you’re just our neighbor, okay?”

  “Totally understand—and agree.”

They settled in to watch the movie and Shawn rested his hand on Logan’s thigh, slowly moving up until he brushed his cock.

“You don’t have to be shy, Shawn. If you want to touch me, touch me. I’m kind of addicted to your touch already.”

Shawn trembled as he stared into Logan’s eyes. “I want to…”

Logan cupped his chin. “To what? What do you want to do?”

Shawn licked his lips, but couldn’t get out the words. At first. “You’re the only man I’ve ever admitted my…desires to.”

Heat flashed in Logan’s eyes. “Say it, Shawn,” he ordered, his voice thick.

God, that made him hot. “I want a Daddy to be in charge. To be in control,” he confessed, his voice shaky. “I don’t mean all the time, just sometimes in bed…like now.”

“Then get up and strip for me, boy.”

Pleasure speared through him as he stood to obey. He had no idea why it got him so hot, but he didn’t care. He just wanted to feel. Once his clothes lay on the floor, he stood in front of Logan, his cock throbbing and jutting out from his body. Normally he would have felt embarrassed, but not with Logan. Something in his soul told him he could trust the man.

“Fuck, you’re a good boy, Shawn.” Logan put his hands on Shawn’s hips and pulled him closer until the head of the cock rubbed against his lips.

  “Yes,” Shawn whimpered.

Logan grinned. “Not yet. Daddy needs beautiful lips wrapped around his cock first. Undress me, then get on your knees between my legs.”

Shawn’s heart raced so fast, he thought he might faint at Logan’s words, but he didn’t. And once he was able to remove all the clothing, he dropped to his knees, his face level with Logan’s hard dick. Pearly liquid beaded at the slit and he wanted to taste it so badly, he moaned.

  “Suck me, Shawn.”

Shawn bent down, lapping at the liquid and savoring the flavor before he opened his lips and took Logan’s cock into his mouth.
