Crimson Warrior Page 18

Alexis swallowed hard, her eyes darting between the two of us. “R-right this way, please.”

Alexis turned and led the way to a small room; Al’re guided me around objects she didn’t think to warn me of. He took me around a chest to a cot, where I sat to feel well-tanned hides. The dog sat down with his eyes on the stranger.

“I’ll fetch a fresh candle. If you wish, I could wash your clothing.”

Screwing up my nose at the idea, I waved the notion away. “I can wash my own clothing, Alexis. Thank you. I’d love something to eat, if you’ve anything made.”

She scurried off without another word.

I whipped to Anshumali, who shut the door and sat on the bed next to me. I crossed my arms. “What in the Seven’s name is going on?”

“While you’re here, don’t refer to the Seven. Any of them. It’s like me mentioning the Fallen to your sister.” San corrected with an anxious glance at the door. “As for what’s going on, the people here don’t worship the Seven. But they do know who they are, unlike what Tic and Toc believed. In the gods’ place, they worship Azhi.”

“…So…you’re literally…” My son let the words trail off. I could hear the awe in his voice.

“Yes. I’m their goddess. Wolf Azhi are worshiped as healers and warriors. The duality that is seen in the Raven God is very close to what I was raised to represent.”

Vortix exclaimed “That’s awesome, San!” as I replied quieter with shock “…You were raised believing humans worshiped you? I thought you just enslaved them?”

I felt an endless stream of embarrassment sweeping into me. “It’s why a lot of Azhi believe humans are so…petty. They’re raised with human cults who wait on them hand and foot. They’re terrified of them, give them sacrifices and cater to their whims. I didn’t know humans could be any different until I left for Sunset Plains. The first human I met who hated my kind was actually a Templar. Can you imagine my surprise when I found out there were more of them out there – and they had other gods? The Seven I despised?”

  “…Were you like…Lyrea?”

San scoffed, waving the notion away as she turned her head away from me as if both annoyed and ashamed. “Lyrea was actually the gentle one. She wasn’t as intelligent, hated to think in a fight and preferred just lazing about from village to village. I don’t know what happened to her, but you know what happened to me. Between the extra training I was given in the Fallen’s army, fighting Templars and other Azhi to keep my territory and the rape, I was the fiercest Azhi in Sunset Plains, and the only one to get so close to Taiyuan in seventy years. I don’t regret my past…and this is part of it. This was my village. Now it belongs to a dear friend who wouldn’t mind me passing through.”

Putting a hand on her shoulder, I told her gently, “I’m not asking you to regret your past, Sanquility. No more than you call me weak for trying to forget mine.”

Astonishment was hastily quelled by relief. “Really? You don’t hate me for it?”

“You are who you are, love. You can’t change that any more than I can change my past. It’s made us who we are, and we should stop hiding from it.” I gave a weak smile. “You are my red knight, Anshumali. The blood you have spilt taints both of our souls. I’ve always been aware of your darker side. We’ve just both kind of…shoved it aside. I suppose I shouldn’t have expected you to cast it aside for so long.”

Anshumali looked toward the door. “Perhaps I’ve been hiding it for too long. I’ve been so short with you because…this stupid bond – it makes me worry that you won’t want me…”

“If you’re you?” I finished for her quietly. “My little black wolf, everything has this evil inside it. Azhi are just so personified by it, they can’t suppress it like humans can.”

  “But what if you’re afraid?”

Shaking my head at her, I gave her a gentle shove. “Sanquility, you are a piece of work. I have faced every Azhi species to grace this world, and you’re worried I may be afraid? I’ll kick your fucking ass into the dirt if you continue treating me the way you were – not cower in fear.”

Alexis returned with a new candle and three plates of sautéed fish. On the side were onion greens and a baked potato. Apparently she’d thought of Al’re, because she gave the dog a plate too.

At this point I was so hungry I didn’t taste it as I shoveled it as fast as I could into my mouth. When I nearly choked, Sanquility gave a rough slap on the back that sent the flake of fish flying across the room.

Before I knew what was happening Alexis was pinned against the far wall with San’s hand around her throat. Glass shattered as I dropped my plate on the ground.

Her voice was deadly as she snarled “If this happens again, Alexis, I will gut you and feed you to the damn drakes. Is that understood?”

  “Y-Y-YE-YES my lady.” She choked.

Sanquility dropped her, came to stand by me and gently kissed me on the forehead. I gulped hard.

//Are you sure can take it? //

“You just took me by surprise. Does it feel like I’m frightened to you?”

  //Good. //

Anshumali threw our food at the girl; the dishes shattered. “Cook us something edible this time.”

Alexis collected the broken pieces to scuttle out, tripping over herself at least twice. The Black Wolf sat on the bed next to me as I tried to calm my racing heart.

After a moment the woman grunted. “You’re not afraid of me.”

“I already told you that. Start shit with me or my boy and I’ll kick your ass all over again.” I managed to say it with a crooked smile. There was no real humor in my voice. Though the idea of a fight between us instantly turned me on.

My lover took me completely by surprise as she grabbed a handful of my hair and jerked it back as hard as she could. The moment of pain was surpassed by a surge of pleasure fueled by my lust.

Anshumali licked along my neck to my lips before giving me a hard, lustful kiss. My arms flung around her waist; it propelled her onto her back so that I was on top of her. There was something primal about the way we kissed – something I’d felt only from Lyrea. Anshumali swept over my lust and poured magic into the spell entangled there.

  “Gods, YES,”

Out of nowhere our clothing vanished. Anshumali plunged three fingers deep inside me. I couldn’t restrain the howl of pleasure. She began pounding me with her hand. My hips couldn’t keep up; I was frozen from the onslaught of ecstasy.

  “MORE!”

She attacked my tits ruthlessly. It was only moments later that pure bliss swept through me. She kept going without giving me a break. San’s own lust and arousal coiled with mine. Instantly it sent me into another orgasm.

“ANSHUMALI!” As my mind screamed for her soul, I screamed her mortal name “Sanquility! Oh, fuck, San!”

Sanquility paused, looking over at the door. I glanced over to see Alexis leaning heavily at the door. The woman shakily put two plates down.

I could smell smoked rabbit, but didn’t feel hungry. Right now, I just wanted those damn fingers to move again. Ignoring the girl and food I kissed along Sanquility’s neck, scratching her back as hard as I could.

“Don’t stop, baby. Please,” My voice was desperate with the heat I felt singing through me.

The Azhi returned my kiss while still watching our hostess. Her thumb rubbed against my clit as she slowly moved her fingers in and out.

  “You’re such a tease.” I complained.

  “Alexis…come and join us.”

My heart wreathed in jealousy. I pulled my mate closer.

  “Why do you want her?”

//Why do you want Callie? //

“I love Callie, and you like fucking her. I don’t want this bitch.”

  //Why not? She’s hot, isn’t she? //

“I don’t love her; I love you and Callie.”

//Common. It will make this woman’s life to do this with me. //

  “So haughty!”

  //I’m not bein
g haughty. Fay would seize the chance to screw one of her gods. //

“Maybe so, but you’re not a god and she’s not Fay.”

At that she simply increased her speed. All the thoughts dropped from my mind like a Gryphon shot in the wing.

  “Now what was that…?”

“You’re a bitch.” I panted with a half-smile. Her laugh was like music. Alexis was edging her way toward us.

“Either join us or get out and leave us alone.” Anshumali growled harshly. The giddy woman hurried to stand at the bedside, making Anshumali moved us over to give her room. The Azhi’s hand began to massage Alexis’s breasts. Her excitement tripled.

Glaring at this whore, I slipped my fingers into my lover’s honey pot possessively. San’s little whimper drove me to push harder; her legs spread eagle. Alexis moaned unexpectedly. Anshumali laughed at its effect on me.

  “Damn my body!”

//Your soul is already damned, my sweet. Don’t you want anything to be blessed? //

There was a sick kind of humor in that, but right now everything turned me on. Heaving off my lover, I leaned over to begin kissing Alexis. Her lips moved nervously against mine; reluctantly.

  Sanquility got off the bed.

“Where are you going?” I huffed crossly.

“I swear, if you’re mad at me for this I’ll get up and walk out. You’re the one who wanted her.”

“No, no. Keep going. I’ll be right there.”

I blinked at her with curious frustration.

“You’ll see, love.” She answered the unasked question. Then the Azhi left the room.

Alexis waited for me, laying there. With a sigh, I returned to our hostess. At first it seemed awkward as I ran my hands up and down her body. I’d never really been big into fucking strangers, and had only willingly touched Anshumali and Callie.

Anshumali was right, though; she was sexy, and it wasn’t too bad; she wasn’t trying to force me, and seemed just as nervous as I was. Giving her light kisses along the neck, I worked my way down to her full boobs. Just to feel her squirm beneath me, I nipped and pulled at her tits. The girl gave a reserved moan.

I’m not the only one feeling nervous, huh?

Almost cautiously, Alexis nibbled at my earlobe. I gave a quiet moan, partially just to let her know her touch was welcome. Somehow her behavior reminded me of Callie our first time, allowing me to relax a little. Anshumali came back into the room to climb behind me.

I gasped in shock as something about the thickness and feel of a penis slipped in. The feeling caused a whirlpool of memories to well up. Tangled, twisted feelings sprang along with them. It felt so good…and so vile.

“It’s just me, love.” Anshumali assured, rubbing my back soothingly. She pulled the thing in and out slowly, allowing my body – and mind – to adjust. It brushed against my clit in the most amazing way.

“How…is it attached?” I somehow managed to ask the stray question.

“A leather strap from some torn hide I found on your Gryphon’s saddle.”

“And what is it you’re pushing inside me?” I demanded as our bodies found a slow pace.

She laughed more at my breathlessness than the open curiosity. “A broken axe handle bound in pigskin.”

I turned around to give her a look.

“You like it,” She leaned over me to increase depth and speed.

//I see you’re enjoying our hostess, too. //

Alexis began to suck on one of my tits as her fingers played with the other one. Her free hand pulled my hair. The assault on my senses quickly erased every other thought from my mind. I seized our hostess’s pussy and did my best to fuck her hard.

All three of our cries echoed through the house. I felt Alexis cum in my hand, driving me to an orgasm that shook my entire body with pure ecstasy. Anshumali began to whisper “Xia” over and over again as she finally got her happy ending.

Then we all fell apart in breathless exhaustion.

  Xia’s Aurora List

White – Purity. This is the color of healing magic and people of pure hearts.

Light Blue – A young soul of powerful growing magic. Usually it is ice or water magic.

Dark Blue – Ancient souls of powerful water or ice magic and great knowledge.

Spring Green – A soul close to the earth, but very young. It signifies kindness, nurturing and a need to protect the innocent as well as earth magic.

Dark Green – Powerful, ancient earth magic and a strong connection to the roots of the earth. People with this aurora are born leaders with courage and loyalty.

Yellow – Like the sun on fire, it represents powerful energies raging within. Yellow is dangerous, because it means the soul is young and unpredictable – and often unaware of their latent fire magic.

Silver – Silver is the mix of white and gray. It is a blend of naïveté and purity. The magic is most likely holy magic. This color is usually seen on the very young in training dealing with magic.

Red – When the color is mixed with white, blue or green, red represents passion, controlled fire magic and healing or scarred emotional wounds.

Gray – Gray is the color of neutrality. Children and animals are born completely gray. The colors mixed within will tell you more about the person than the gray.

Orange – Orange is a mix of red and yellow. This means there is a powerful but wild and potentially uncontrolled flux of fire magic is blended with emotional wounds, youth and a violent nature.

Brown – Brown is a blend of black and green. This is natural magic and kindness that was corrupted beyond saving. The powerful, loyal person uses a blend of black and earth magic, often to raise the dead, poison the living and control animals against their will. Usually there is a little red tainted in, for the pain of what drove them to this vile point.

Red – When blended or partnered with a vile color such as black, this red represents anger, injustice and a blood-lust from emotional wounds that never quite healed. It is corruption of something that could have been a powerful force of good. They often use fire magic, but it isn’t unseen for people with violent red auroras to use blood magic.

Black – Decay. Unholy magic. The blacker a soul the more pain and evil there is.
