“Oh, yes!” Eva let out and gripped Ember’s head harder.
Ember flattened her tongue, dragged it up and down and then pressed harder against the rigid clit, reveling in what it felt like to be here in this moment, to have her fingers buried inside this woman, and to be tasting her while she was pressing further into her. Ember found herself moaning at the thought, which sent vibrations against Eva’s clit. Eva let out another gasp and gripped her harder.
Ember sucked more and pulled her fingers out and back once, twice, and a third time before she felt Eva tighten and lift. Eva’s thighs pressed against Ember, and she strained to hear Eva’s sounds of pleasure as she came. Ember moved faster and sucked harder because she couldn’t stop. She had to keep hearing those sounds and just as Eva began to relax, Ember removed her fingers and replaced them with her tongue, lifting Eva’s body slightly at the same time and forcing Eva to wrap her legs around Ember’s back. Ember’s tongue dove into her, begging for her to give her more. Ember’s hands were pressed to the inside of Eva’s spread thighs until she moved her thumb to Eva’s still hard clit and flicked it back and forth and back and forth again while her tongue moved in and out. Eva’s muscles took over, and she almost rolled to her side. But Ember held her in place while she took what she wanted, what she needed, and gave Eva what she appeared to need as well, until Eva came again. Eva’s hips rose even higher. Again, Ember helped to keep her in place, so she could keep licking and sucking until Eva could take no more. She flattened against the bed and Ember’s lips settled against the inside of Eva’s thigh.
She stayed there as she looked up at Eva’s body that was still coming down. Her breasts were still moving with every breath and her nipples were still rock hard. Her abdomen was tight for a moment, but Ember looked just in time to watch it relax and hear Eva’s sigh of relief. She slid back on top of her and captured her lips. She felt like this would never get old, watching Eva come from her touch and then kissing those lips and tasting her mouth. She felt her own desire again in the pit of her stomach and realized only when Eva’s hands moved to her ass and pushed, that her hips were driving down into Eva again. She wanted more. She wondered if that was okay until Eva moved to push herself up. Ember stopped, thinking that Eva was done, but only for a second, because Eva just wanted to push herself up so that she could take Ember’s nipple into her mouth while Ember ground down into her thigh. Sitting straight up, Ember held onto the back of Eva’s neck as she assaulted her nipples with kisses, licks, and slight pulls with her teeth until she felt Eva’s hand between her legs taking over what her hips had just been doing.
“Like this?” Eva huffed out.
“Yes!” Ember encouraged with a whisper and moved her hips faster while Eva’s lips pressed to her neck. It didn’t take long before she came again and fell on top of Eva who held onto her and ran her soft, comforting hands up and down her back.
“I feel like I’m about to utter a cliché. I shouldn’t do that, right?” Eva finally spoke.
Ember laughed against her skin.
“What were you going to say?”
“Wow,” Eva admitted. “I was going to say wow.”
Ember lifted herself up.
“Wow is correct,” she agreed and kissed her before rolling off to the side and relaxing against the mattress.
Eva rolled onto her side, her fingers dragging up and down Ember’s stomach. She closed her eyes at the sensation.
“I think we should wait a few minutes and then do that again,” Eva said.
Ember laughed a husky laugh because her throat was a little sore. She opened her eyes and met Eva’s.
“No,” Ember stated and caught the moment of confusion and concern in Eva’s eyes. “Not until you agree to something,” she finished and saw the confusion remain.
“What, babe?” Eva asked softly and kissed Ember’s shoulder.
“Be my girlfriend?” Ember asked.
Eva lifted her head and the smile more than made its way to her eyes.
“Girlfriend?”
“Yes,” Ember replied quickly.
“Okay,” Eva replied just as quickly.
“Okay?”
“Of course, I’ll be your girlfriend. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of crazy about you.”
“I’m kind of crazy about you too, Eva Dash.” Ember kissed her. “Again?” She wiggled her eyebrows and listened to Eva’s deep, happy laughter as she climbed back on top of her.
CHAPTER 17
Eva woke up a little sore, but pleasantly so. They’d had a few more rounds that night before finally deciding their bodies needed a break. They fell asleep in a bed in the middle of an apartment that was also a storage facility for the restaurant downstairs. Still, it was oddly perfect. They’d come together in the middle of the night again, when they both managed to wake at the same time, and Eva’s hand had found itself between Ember’s legs. They fell asleep for good after that, and it was early in the morning when Ember’s phone started sounding like the alarm, and she shot up out of bed to turn it off.
“Sorry, sorry,” she repeated and climbed back into bed.
“It’s okay. What time is it?” Eva asked and rubbed her eyes.
“Seven. I have to get dressed.” But Ember didn’t appear to want to get dressed because she slid back into bed and wrapped her arms around Eva, drawing her close and kissing her just below her ear. “I have to be there for the deliveries.”
“I should go then,” Eva said, but made no attempt to move.
“Neither of us should go,” Ember replied and hugged Eva closer. “But I’m the only one that has to. You can stay here. Sleep more.”
“I don’t want to sleep here without you.”
“That’s so adorable,” Ember teased and rolled Eva over to face her.
“Fine. Make fun of me.” Eva allowed Ember to climb on top of her and place fast kisses all over her face and neck.
Ember pulled herself up.
“Okay. I really do have to go. I have to unlock the doors.” She kissed Eva more intently and then jumped out of bed.
Eva didn’t mind because Ember was in front of the bed completely nude and standing in the full light of the morning. She was even more beautiful than she’d been the night before.
“Damn,” Eva muttered.
“What?” Ember reached for the clothing on the floor and tossed all of it onto the bed before looking at Eva.
“You are very hot,” Eva answered. “I have a very hot girlfriend.”
Ember stopped moving for a moment as if she just realized something. Eva had her own moment where she wondered if Ember was rethinking that title.
“I have to close tonight. You can say no because it will be late, but can I come to your place when I get done? I have tomorrow off because the restaurant is closed. We can sleep in and hang out. I mean, unless you have something else to do tomorrow.”
“I don’t.” Eva laughed and paused. “Maybe you can help me grade papers,” she teased.
Ember moved back to the bed as Eva sat up and moved to the edge next to her.
“I don’t think you want me grading English papers.”
“You’ve already read all the books, babe. I’m sure you could determine if any of them actually did.”
Ember leaned in and kissed her.
“You start teaching any advanced math classes and I’m your girl, but I’ll leave the English papers to you.” She stood up again. Eva watched her walk in the direction of the bathroom. “Seriously, stay as long as you want. I’ll leave you the key,” she said without turning around and then made her way inside.

“Good morning,” Eva whispered to Ember’s sleeping form.
Ember had come over the previous night after closing the restaurant. They’d made love well into the morning before finally falling asleep in Eva’s bed.
“I thought we were sleeping in.” Ember didn’t move from her face down position. “What time is it?”
“Don’
t you always know?” Eva teased.
“You’re never going to give up on that, are you?” She rolled over and Eva was met with her adorably messy hair and perky breasts, which caused her to smile.
“Probably not, but it’s not my fault. You’re the first genius I’ve ever dated.” She moved back into the bed and handed Ember a hot cup of coffee. “And we did sleep in. It’s late.”
“You brought me coffee?” Ember kissed her cheek. “I think I’m going to like having a girlfriend,” she joked and put the hot coffee on the table.
“What do you want to do today?” Eva asked.
“This sounds pretty good,” Ember replied.
Eva laughed, sipped on her coffee, and placed it on her own table.
“How about more of this followed by lunch somewhere and then a movie? I know you have dinner with your parents, but can you do a movie before? I can drop you off-”
“I’m not going,” Ember replied and laid back flat against the mattress.
“Babe, it’s your family thing. You do it every week.”
“Until last week,” Ember contended.
“So, you’re never going to go again? You got in one fight and it’s done?”
“It wasn’t even a fight, Eva. For it to be a fight, he’d have to say something more than a grunt.” She turned to face Eva and reached out her hand. “Lie back down with me, please.”
Eva gave her a small smile and did as she was asked. They lay facing one another in silence until Ember tugged on Eva’s shirt and pulled her closer.
“I could go with you,” Eva suggested.
“Why are you wearing this?” She tugged on the shirt again.
“Because I got up and went to the kitchen to make us coffee.”
“But you’re not in the kitchen anymore,” Ember replied.
“I’ll take my shirt off if you address what I just said.”
“Your offer to attend my family dinner?”
“Yes.”
“Are you a masochist?” She tugged on the shirt some more.
Eva lifted up and pulled off the only piece of clothing she had on before allowing Ember to engulf her in her arms.
“It might make it easier for you if I was there.”
“I don’t want to put you through that. My dad isn’t exactly a big supporter of the whole gay thing, remember? I don’t want him to take anything out on you. I just want to have a fun day with you.”
“Okay. So, bed, lunch and a movie?”
“That sounds good,” Ember agreed.
“And I should probably tell you that I thought you were doing the family dinner thing. I told Hannah and Alyssa I’d meet them at the dress place later. They want to get an idea of what they want. They made an appointment. I can’t skip it, but you could come with me and maybe we could do dinner after. All four of us. I’d like you to get to know them.”
“Doesn’t Alyssa hate me?” Ember asked.
“No, she’s just protective of her friends. I told her about us when she and I had lunch yesterday.”
“You did? What did you tell her?” Ember hugged her closer.
Eva pulled back a little because Ember’s lips were moving along her neck and she wanted to give her more access.
“Just that you’re beautiful, but she could tell that already,” she started and felt Ember’s lips slip down to her collarbone as she moved Eva onto her back. “And that you make me laugh.” Ember’s hand went to Eva’s breast and she began to massage it. “And that you’re incredibly smart and I find it ridiculously sexy.” She closed her eyes as Ember’s hand slid down her abdomen and remained there. “And that you are very sweet and do these incredible things for me.” Ember’s hand moved between her legs. “Like that, for example,” she exhaled those words as Ember’s hand went to work. “Oh.” One of Ember’s fingers slid easily inside her before she pulled it out to drag it across her clit. “And like that.” She began to breathe more quickly.
“And what about like this?” Ember’s fingers dipped inside, and she slid down on the bed.
“Yes, like that,” Eva added when Ember’s tongue met her clit and continued to make those same declarations over and over until Ember was finished with her. A fine sheen of sweat had formed on Ember’s back and Eva’s forehead and between her breasts. “Definitely like that,” she repeated as Ember kissed her.

“It’s nice to officially meet you, Ember.” Hannah went in for a hug that Ember returned.
They’d made it to the dress shop but hadn’t made it to lunch or to the movie before the appointment with Hannah and Alyssa. Ember wasn’t too proud to admit that her body, after hours of near endless love-making with Eva, did require a break. She had sore muscles she’d never worked out before. She used to think that she’d had pretty aerobic sex in her day. Eva was insatiable. Ember had no problem with that because she wanted Eva all the time too. Their bodies fit together so well. Just the instant replay of everything they’d done together, as she met Hannah and Alyssa for the first time, was enough to get her body thinking about doing it again.
“Al, this is my girlfriend, Ember. You’ve met, technically, but this is the first time it really matters,” Eva said and then Alyssa held out her hand and Ember shook it.
“Nice to officially meet you,” Alyssa greeted her.
“You too. Congratulations on the wedding.” Ember nodded toward Hannah.
She felt Eva’s hand take her own and she looked down, as their fingers automatically intertwined. She closed her eyes for a moment and when she opened them, she caught Alyssa watching her with a smirk. They made their way inside. Alyssa and Hannah each tried on dresses of varying shapes, sizes, makes, and models. Ember was lost as the saleswoman explained the differences between them. Ember wore dresses, but she made her decisions on what to buy based on what looked good on her body; not what was in this season according to magazines.
“They’re not buying anything today. They wanted a chance to check stuff out,” Eva reminded her as they sat next to one another on a small loveseat and waited for each woman to emerge, stand on a platform, turn, get feedback, and move back into the dressing room for the next dress.
“When are you two going to be standing up here modeling for me?” the overenthusiastic saleswoman asked Eva and Ember just as Hannah emerged in a floor-length, lace number that did not look right at all to Ember.
“Oh, we-” Eva started, and Ember turned to hear what she was about to say.
“They just started dating,” Hannah said, saving the day.
“Really? You seem like you’ve been together for a while,” the woman added.
Eva didn’t say anything, but Ember could sense she was worried about something. She didn’t want Eva to worry about anything when it came to them.
“Sometimes, it feels like that,” Ember pronounced and kissed Eva’s cheek before Eva could turn to face her. “If you think I’m freaking out, I’m not,” she whispered into Eva’s ear. “I promise.” She kissed her cheek again.
Eva smiled and returned her attention to Hannah, who was turning in front of them for their opinion.
“Absolutely not,” Eva told her.
“I agree.” Hannah looked at the saleswoman. “No more lace for me, please.”
“Lace?” Alyssa yelled from another dressing room. “You’re wearing lace right now? Is it see-through?”
“Al!” Hannah yelled back.
“What? I don’t want you walking down an aisle in a see-through dress.”
Eva laughed. Ember wrapped an arm around her as they sat and waited for Alyssa to emerge once Hannah was behind the door.
“I like them,” Ember said.
“Yeah?”
“I hope they like me.”
“They’ll love you, babe.”
“Hey Dash, can you come in here?” Alyssa beckoned.
“On my way.” Eva kissed Ember’s cheek. “Sorry, duty calls.”
“Take your time.”
Hannah emerged f
rom the dressing room wearing her street clothes and flopped down next to Ember on the sofa.
“Well, no luck for me. Did Al find anything good?”
“Am I allowed to tell you? I don’t know the rules.”
“You can tell me if she found something. I just can’t see it.” Hannah paused. “It’s not even a big deal to me, but Al’s mom is insisting we do some traditional things. I love Al’s mom, so I want to give her what she wants. So, tell me.” Hannah turned to face Ember. “Did she look hot in any of them?”
“What? No, I don’t think I can-”
Hannah just laughed at her.
Eva’s voice rose from Alyssa’s dressing room, “Hannah, tell your fiancée I’m not trying on a wedding dress and that she’s being ridiculous.”
“Baby, tell Eva I just found a dress that would look amazing on her and I just want to know if I’m right,” Alyssa added. “I work retail. I know fashion, Dash. Just try it on. What’s the problem?”
“Eva, why don’t you want to try it on?” Hannah asked and rose as if she was going to break up a fight between the two of them.
“We’re not here for me,” Eva replied.
“Just try on the damn dress,” Alyssa nearly shouted.
Ember enjoyed watching the whole thing. When Alyssa emerged from the room a moment later, she assumed they’d be done with the argument, but then she saw Eva follow behind her and when Alyssa moved aside, Ember’s body leaned forward instinctively because Eva was wearing a wedding dress.
“She made me do this,” Eva protested. “I figured it would get us to dinner faster if I just agreed.”
