Gordon was quiet for a long time. Perry considered there was a rationalizing that came from within and skated along his moral compass, and his ethics. But according to the law, they never proved the crime.
“Maybe we can buy an island somewhere,” he finally said.
“Somewhere warm and doesn’t allow cars.”
And for the next hour, Perry and Gordon made plans for the rest of their lives. A terrible set of circumstances that brought the two of them together wasn’t going to ever come between them. Perry knew, above everything else, Gordon wasn’t going to betray his trust.
