Agent Grace looked out the window of his car as it navigated the streets of Washington, D.C., headed to his next follow up meeting with Directors Davies and McKie. The peace and quiet of the previous ten days didn't bode well in Grace's mind, as it was made to appear as if this operation could be handled fine without him.
His phone buzzed, he identified the Caller I.D., and suspected that all of this was about to change. He suspected right.
"This is Grace," he said, speaking into his wireless microphone.
"Director McKie, Agent. We're going to need to cancel our morning meeting. I want you on the next flight to Boston."
Grace hadn't expected this turn of events. "Don't we have more to go over? I know there are still two log books that Davies will want to.,."
"Never mind that for now. There's been some developments with our project."
Shit.
"Okay. I'm turning around and heading to Dulles right now. Fill me in on my way?"
The car turned right and began the roundabout trek to Dulles Airport, as Director McKie gave Agent Grace the rundown on the events from the previous night. Grace smiled for nearly the entire conversation.
