Warning: As a second body, it will gain its own stats upon creation. Use of unique minerals and metals during its creation will alter its look greatly.
Magnetism
Basic Level 1
Your unique mineral rich body allows you to create a magnetic field.
This skill works automatically with your secondary body and it flies by swimming inside the planet’s magnetic field.
Your class sky whale (infant) has advanced to sky whale (adolescent).
“What the fuck!” I shouted.
Victor turned quickly when I shouted. “Something wrong?!”
“Yeah, I already reached my maturing size. I can make my whale body now,” I said.
“Didn’t you need more iron?” Victor asked.
“Well it’s black iron, so I might have needed more obsidian than iron,” I said in thought.
“Hm, that does makes sense. So, what do you need for the whale?” he asked.
“I need to gather the materials for its body. It seems that different stuff changes its stats and look and I think creation materials are the most important,” I said.
“I see. Well no need to worry about it now. Since you would endanger the city's supply let's make your body some other place. Away from here.”
I nodded and we returned to the surface. To say I was overpowered was an understatement. I never placed extra stat points since I was always getting a boost from metal eating. Now that I had a chance, all my own and since Techno forgot about it, I decided to add them. I had 201 points since in my 67 levels I never added one point. So I added 35 to agility to even out at 100, 35 in strength giving me 300 strength, 40 to toughness giving me 300 toughness, 30 to intelligence and wisdom leaving them 180 and 240 respectively, and the last 31 points in dexterity which left me at 127 points. My new stats were greatly improved.

Damn, I was so damn lucky to get that class, because of it I got so many stats. I was the best tank because I had the most HP and defensive power. For me, I would never want to become a synthoid since the sky whale seemed far better. Ena and Blaze might have a rare elemental form as well but it would take so much luck to run into another one and come out of it alive.
Still, I couldn’t wait to fight someone. My magic was going to be so epic. I had 80% affinity with earth magic and I could do a lot of damage since spells became stronger the better the affinity.
Victor PoV
Damn! Brock looked strong and his pure black body which was in a really human shape like before, now looked really dangerous. Like more dangerous than Techno dangerous.
I didn’t know how much of a boost he got from it, but I was sure that he was the toughest out of us without a doubt.
I kind of felt left out. I had suggested having a close-range battle suit made for myself so I could fight more evenly but I didn’t get much of a reaction from Techno. Put simply, I would make it myself. I already had a model that was based on a movie where it was built to fight the strongest Marvel superhero, so I would go with that. No way in hell I was going to be left behind.
When we got back to the ship, I headed off to the workshop and began making every little piece I needed. This would be a project that would take months because of the complexity. I could slowly improve my current suit to handle parts of it but I couldn’t wait until it was complete. Anyway, with Brock up and running we finally contacted Rust and told him we were ready.
With the turrets already complete we were already making enough ammo that we could go to war for at least three hours without stopping. A simple pirate group would never be able to handle our fire power. Not when they were using simple crappy ships.
Anyway, the best way to draw those bastards out was by escort, so Rust had a ship loaded up with parts needed urgently at the shipyard town and soon it lifted off with us behind it. We were getting the turrets in place but leaving the last ball so it looked like random machines. Soon we headed in the direction and we were all on high alert.
Techno PoV
For the escort ship they were on high alert and the tension was high but for us who had seen scarier things than a couple pirates we didn’t bat an eye. That said, I did let Nova have her weapons back during that time. Strato gained a special hatch which opened up and let him fly out at Nova’s or my command.
I had Asura on the top deck while my Yasha body was in the command room controlling the ship.
For a long while there was nothing on the ship's scanners but from nowhere the scanner started to receive interference. Not being some idiot I had already prepared for that and I connected to the ship’s consoles and I uploaded an anti-hacking program and tracking program. Instantly the computers returned to normal and it showed where the hacking was coming from.
On the radar there were around fifteen ships about 3 km in front of us and they seem to be moving out.
Just before I could call the others, one of the monitors was covered in static before a clockwork knight appeared.
“So, you are the scum that interfere with me! The great leader of the Clockwork Crew, Techno!”
I was completely stunned, even if I wasn’t partially mute I wouldn’t have been able to respond.
“What's with that stupid face! Scared of having such a powerful foe like me who defeated the lava golem with just a little girl and another knight!” the fake me said.
I had to cover my mouth. It was starting to get ridiculous.
“hey, don’t laugh for any reason trash! you better surrender or you will die!” he roared.
I couldn’t handle it after that. I burst out laughing as loud as possible. I couldn’t stop either, it was too much. I’d heard of this in manga, LN and fanfics but to think it was real. There was actually an idiot who tried to get famous off someone else's name.
I had in all that time finally had a genuine laugh from the very depths. I couldn’t stop. Obviously, the clear sound of my laughing caught the attention of everyone outside.
“No way! Bro is laughing!” Nova said as she heard my laugh.
“No way! He can laugh!” Bulk said even more shocked.
“Oi! Snap out of it! What’s so funny to make even you laugh!” Victor ran in and shouted to snap me out of it.
I turned to them and pointed at the moron on the screen.
“To laugh at me! you will all die at the hand of me, the leader of ‘the clockwork,’” the fake Techno shouted.
It took several seconds for everyone to actually process this before everyone fell over laughing like me. Only Nova was left wondering what was funny since she didn’t really know about the Clockwork Crew title everyone called us.
“Hey guys, who is this noisy old man?” she asked innocently.
This made it worse, those who were living beings were nearly out of breath and were holding their sides as it was starting to hurt to laugh so much.
The steam from the fake was blowing so heavily that I thought he would dry up.
After regaining some self-control, I simply connected to the comm and did a very simple thing.
I got in front of the screen. Lifted up my front right arm and with my middle finger straight up pointed towards him I said a
very simple line out loud.
“Go fuck yourselves weaklings.” I cut the connection and blocked all channels.
“Ok, fun time is over. Let's teach these assholes what it feels like to fight the real Clockwork Crew,” I said.
“yay!” everyone said together.
CHAPTER 20 Air Assault
With me calling them to attention, my crew, still chuckling, started to leave the room.
In my Yasha body I pulled out two items that looked like big headphones. The difference was that the main support was made of glass and along the top and bottom ran a cylindrical tube which held a system of cameras that would shoot images onto the glass and make it work like a visor. At a ninety-degree angle to the glass visor, a thin metal curved and connected to the other earphone which contained all the hardware of the visor.
Before the tigress and draconian princess could leave, I called to them.
“You two didn't like the helmet visors so I made this. The systems in here are much more advanced. That includes the targeting system," I said.
“Why did you mention the targeting system specifically?” Annabeth asked.
“Because you two will be shooting the cannons until we get close enough to engage them."
Their eyes got a bit wide but they nodded and took the new visors. Thankfully the size was correct and it fit just right. The game didn't have size adjustment so it needed to be the correct size.
The two of them seemed happy as they walked out. They hated the helmets because, in Greer's case it covered her ears which were up on her head like a tiger or cat. In Annabeth's case her dragon horns wouldn't properly fit. Now it did since the top was open.
It took quite a while to get it working. It had much fewer systems but it had communication, targeting and scanners at least. Also, It let them check their stats through tech instead of the magic window. That said, they couldn't control any robots but it had much more space to connect to things like the turrets to use the targeting with them.
Now then let’s teach these shits their place.
Annabeth PoV
As we traveled alongside the transport ship, we suddenly heard the clear sound of laughing coming from the command room. The laughing was so clear that it was like a child gleefully playing or laughing at something they found funny. I found it nice to listen to since most people force a laugh.
When we entered into the room, we found Techno rolling around laughing with all he had.
After a bit he calmed down after Victor asked why he was laughing. When he pointed at the monitor screen, we saw a clockwork knight with a resemblance to Techno's old knight body.
The video of their fight against the lava golem was released on the forums, so they at least knew that much. The guy was furious at being laughed at.
“To laugh at me! you will all die at the hands of me, the leader of ‘the clockwork.’”
We were all taken by surprise and after a few seconds of processing what he said, I had to cover my mouth. The others did the same but we couldn't hold it and started to laugh just like Techno with all our might. It got worse after Nova called him a noisy old man.
Victor, Greer and I started to tear up and hold our sides because it was starting to hurt.
After a bit we calmed down and the fake guy seemed to be blowing so much steam that I was sure he was almost out.
Then Techno in his Yasha body walked up to the screen and flipped the stupid fake before cutting the connection.
What an incredible day. To hear Techno laugh, see such a stupid person and get a gift from Techno.
It was rather simple but it worked like a charm. It gave us a scanner and a really amazing targeting system. And I could connect to the turrets and use the system.
When we left Victor, he put me on the mortar at the front of the ship.
The mortar was the only one of the ball constructions that had two large construction balls.
Ball one of the mortar was now one meter in diameter while 2-4 were 30 cm more or less. Ball five was the last one and had a half meter diameter. As soon as I put the last ball in, the reason was made clear.
Unlike the barrel of a cannon which was two half meter sections, the mortar was much more intimidating. The mortar had three sections which were each 75 cm and aimed up.
I connected a wire that came with the new visor and found the spot it connected to. The information from the mortar appeared as soon as I connected and when I looked up at the barrel, I could see a small dotted line showing the course the shell would take.
You heard right, I said shell. The same kind used in tanks and real-world siege weapons. Nearly 40 cm long and cylindrical ending at a sharp point. The shell was 1 cm of earth steel while the hollowed inside was filled with black powder and a pressure plate at the point that activated on impact.
I opened the hatch next to the turret and grabbed a shell. Opening the chamber, I put the shell in the support and closed it.
Setting up the trajectory wasn't too hard. Obviously, I'm not Nova who seemed to be able to hit everything she set her eyes on. Anyway, to change its trajectory I had two spinning wheels to turn it. One was to move the mortar’s angle forward and back while the other turned the entire base of the turret which moved left and right.
With the help of the targeting system I could more or less shoot where the target said it would go but there were various factors I needed to take into account. As a test fire I used the scanners to locate the ships. Techno hooked up the ship's long-range scanner to our smaller ones and we knew where they were.
At the time, they were 3 km away but as scary as that sounds they were in my range. Dual barrel turrets had a 500-1000 m range, cannons had a max range of 1700 m and mortars could fire off the shells to nearly 3.5 km.
The only problem was aiming. With the wind blowing strongly from the left in a tailwind, I put the mortar on a 73 degree angle. After connecting the turret to the ship's steam pipe, I launched.
It was really scary, the mortars three sections got pushed all the way down after it shot the shell while the shot itself sent a tremor through the ship. I looked up and saw the shell vanish as it soared upwards.
Fake Techno PoV
Those bastards!! Who did they think they were? Fucking shits didn’t take me seriously even when I used the name of the most feared guy in the game.
I walked outside and had some guys bring me water. I was nearly out from my fit of rage before. The water helped cool me down, but only my body. I moved to the front of the ship and activated a scope I built into my left eye. I could see the transport ship and next to it was another one which was where those bastards were. I zoomed in as best as I could and saw them moving about on the deck.
The ship was coming towards us with no intention of turning. What was strange was that weird machine on the front. The zoom got me close, but it was at least 30 times zoom so I still had trouble seeing.
Still, I could see a chick lift up a big metal ball onto the machine. The next moment the thing opened up and turned into a fucking mortar.
“fuck. they have mortars! disperse!”
I instantly sounded the alarm to spread out so that it would have the least effect on us even if one or two got hit.
A moment later we heard the bomb but since we were far, it must have been a few seconds ago.
I quickly look up and after a moment my scanners spotted the thing but it was too late. It crashed right into the ship that was third to the right and caused the two adjacent ships to catch fire.
We threw ropes over and helped any survivors off the ship but nearly three quarters of the crew got smoked. Next moment another bomb which was followed by the furthest ship to the left getting crushed.
“Quickly move forward so we can engage!” I shouted.
The ships were put on maximum speed and our advance got faster. The transport ship stopped and withdrew its sails while the turbines behind it pointed down keeping it stationary. The other ship started to get in front and stopped when it was
perpendicular to the transport ship. I thought it was a suicide attempt to protect the ship but I was quickly proven wrong. As soon as we got 1.5 km away, the sound of cannon fire came from them and took two ships down followed by another mortar. We started with 15 ships we were already down to only 10.
Seriously there was no fucking way someone had enough firepower to take on a large group and cause so much damage.
Moments later, another barrage of shots came and dropped us to six ships because there seemed to be another mortar at the back.
Feeling despair at that, I called for retreat. The ship didn’t follow but we only got out of range with two ships. All the rest were trashed and even my main ship was hit by a dud, but we thankfully survived.
Techno PoV
How I loved when things went perfectly. First off let’s start by saying killing a player, even a weaker one, brought in such a good amount of experience. I reckoned it was because it was our first midair ship battle against another ship. Second, it was because PKing gave a lot of experience. Anna and Greer both leveled up. The smallest ships which were in bulk having 10 of that kind had about seven people, I thought. As the ships got destroyed at the start, those who survived jumped to the next ship but once they spread out too far, the crews were killed completely. I joined in on the fun to make that bastard feel fear.
They didn't even get in range for them to attack. In the end they retreated with their tails between their legs. Obviously, I wasn't about to let them go so I fired a special tracker shot and had Nova hit the largest ship which was a caravel ship like my own.
The tracker shot wasn't special but more like a package. When it hit and entered the ship, it opened up releasing a drone that gave off a specific frequency that I set which I could track. Obviously, they could walk and I spread them all over the ship just to be safe.
