A soft sound came from the bedroom, and she pouted. "How come he always knows when I'm getting my daily sugars?"
Jesse grinned. "He's just jealous because I'm stealing all your kisses. I'll get him, honey."
When Jesse walked back into the living room, he held their Wess, a one-month-old, feisty little miracle who'd given them their dreams.
