Kyle intertwined his fingers with Bec’s, “So, tell us your names.”
Each student called out their names as Kyle pointed to them.
“Georgie.”
“Ralph.”
“Victoria.”
“Louis.”
“Richie.”
“Heidi.”
“Hannah.”
“Marcus.”
“Nicole.”
“Well, it’s nice to meet you all. Where shall we begin?” Bec asked.
Kyle walked around the room, checking out each student. He stopped in the back of the room directly opposite of Bec, “I would like to know what you each can do. Georgie?” He asked the mousy boy in the front chair with coal black hair and eyes to match.
Georgie looked around nervously then held his hand out, palm up. Slowly a light formed a small orb levitating mere centimeters from his palm then he put the other hand up alongside the other and the orb grew two times the size and lit up the room so brightly everyone covered their eyes.
“Very good. How about you Ralph?” Bec asked the boy next Georgie who had ice white hair and light blue eyes.
The boy stood, straightened his clothes and stared at the stapler on the desk next to Bec. The stapler wobbled and slowly but clumsily levitated from the desk. When it slammed down, the boy sat proudly.
“Good. Good. Victoria?” Kyle pointed at the olive skinned girl with almond shaped brown eyes and hair that nearly reached her knees.
She stood with a flamboyant flip of her hair and wind blew through the room and circled around back to her. She smiled proudly and sat back down.
“Interesting,” Bec commented, “Okay, Louis?”
Louis stood up and so did Heidi. They looked at each other and locked a hand together the raised the other hand to the ceiling. No one said a word when nothing immediately happened. Bec’s brows scrunched and Heidi winked at her. It started to thunder inside the room and soon a grey cloud formed. Louis slammed his hand down and a small bolt of lightning shot out at the only empty desk in the room. Heidi then slammed her hand down and the rain fell. They stood in the middle of a thunderstorm in the classroom but stayed perfectly dry. Bec nodded impressively. Heidi and Louis glanced at each other and then broke their hold. As soon as their hands were disconnected the storm disappeared.
“Impressive,” Kyle replied as he took a breath before continuing, “Richie?”
Richie sat there fiddling with a pencil on his desk before he turned and spoke mentally to Kyle, “I am like you.”
“Wonderful, glad to have you,” Kyle replied in kind. Turning to the rest of the classroom he pointed to Hannah, “and you?”
Hannah tossed a book in the air with her mind and let Nicole catch it and toss it back, two more telekinetics.
“Marcus?”
The tall wiry boy stood, turned to Bec and then took off running. Except he was a blur. He had the same super speed as she did.
“God job Marcus, go ahead and sit back down now,” Kyle demanded.
Bec smiled at Nicole, “Want to show us what else you can do?”
Nicole smiled, nodded, and held her palm up in front of her. She blew lightly on her palm and a spark erupted. Fire, this girl could make fire.
Walking up to Bec, he smiled. “Looks like we have some wonderful young men and women with some amazing skills. Who is ready to have fun?”
