He had done it, he had given her pleasure without being selfish, but it was harder than he had thought. He was harder than he thought. His hand was still soaked, and he looked at the tent in his kilt, tempted to pleasure himself just to feel some relief before he hurt himself.
He was still contemplating this when suddenly Lilia’s hands came into his field of vision. He gasped, looking up to find her with a hazy look in her eyes as she raised his kilt. He grabbed her hand instinctively, stopping her.
“Lilia!” He said. He was not sure if he called her name as a warning or out of nervous fear for his own waning control. She raised lazy eyes to him.
“Ye cheated me… I wanted ye, and yet ye cheated me… we are nae done,” she said. His eyes widened as she snatched her hand from his grip and crawled forward until she was straddling him again the way she had been in the beginning. He swallowed hard, he was shocked as well a slightly intimidated. He had never seen Lilia like this before.
She was fully asserting herself as she straddled him, raising his kilt until his member bobbed free. His breath hitched in his throat as the air hit his sensitive skin, and he grunted. Lilia kept eye contact with him, this serving to only increase his arousal. She glanced down at his member, her mouth dropping open slightly.
Looking back up at him, she took his length in her hand, balancing herself with her other hand on his shoulder as she began to stroke him. She looked up at him, meeting his eyes.
“I daenae ken what I was expectin’, but ye’re much bigger than I anticipated…” She said.
Uielam closed his eyes, fighting for control against the sensations her hands elicited as she stroked him. She let go of him and kissed him instead, the sudden movement rocking him back so that he needed one hand flat on the blanket to balance them.
She continued to kiss him as she lowered herself down until he was at her entrance. His eyes flew open in shock as her moistness came in contact with his sensitive head. He gave a labored groan, his free hand moving to grab hold of her now bare buttock as she held her dress up. Her juices began to coat him as she rocked slowly, their sexes sliding against each other.
“Lilia…” he said, his voice strained. She only moaned in response, grinding against him faster. He was astonished, she was so different from her usual self. Was it the effect of the ale? She had never been so brazenly erotic. She had been the most controlled, and he knew she escaped whenever things got too heated. It was as though he were witnessing a new side of her.
His length was covered in her slippery wetness now, and she seemed to know this. She raised her hips so that her entrance hovered right over him before she lowered herself down, pressing against his erection until she began swallowing him up.
They moaned together, the sensations that came from their joining running though them both like several bolts of lightning. Uielam could feel himself filling her. He could feel every nook of her walls as he slid into her. He hissed as she continued to take him in deeper, his grip on her butt cheek hardening until he was sure his fingers would leave marks in her flesh.
She continued to move till she was at his hilt, and then she threw her arms around him, her whole body shaking.
“It is so good, Uielam… Ye feel so good…” She whispered almost tearfully, her nails digging into his back. Uielam once again struggled to keep his composure. He’d had many a lover but never had anyone moved his body and his heart the way that Lilia did.
He was utterly powerless in her wake. When she had first come on to him, all he could think of were Osgar’s words as he told him that his hesitation was proof of his love for her.
“Ye truly have changed, me friend. Ye think that ye are selfish, but the fact that ye are unsure and have stopped to consider if ye are deservin’ of her or nae, only proves that ye are truly in love. If ye were selfish, ye would go after her anyway without considering whether or nae it is selfish.”
He could not help the sting of guilt that told him he was not deserving after all. He had not changed, he was still selfish. Despite his uncertainty, he had gone after her anyway. The combination of seeing her being attacked, and the fact that she wanted him was too much, and he crumbled under the weight of it.
Even then, he wanted to make sure he was not selfish and didn’t seek out his own pleasure and fulfill his lust. He did not want it to be empty, to simply be the fruition of all the years he spent teasing Lilia despite her rejection of him. He chose instead to satiate his need to please her, believing this to be the lesser of his selfishness. He had pleased her, and it had been as beautiful as he’d imagined, but Lilia did not let him off the hook that easily.
Being inside of her was everything that he had imagined and more. His fears were eradicated, such that he felt stupid for even having them at all. There was nothing empty about their lovemaking, and that was what it was; love-making. There was nothing he could compare to what he felt at that moment. Both his heart and his body were in ecstasy. He never wanted the feeling to subside.
Lilia began to move again, as he buried his face into her neck, kissing her while she rocked her hips, sliding up and down on his member and pleasuring them both. How had he not seen it before? Lilia was everything. He had wasted so much time already with his fruitless teasing and pompous attitude when he should have looked inwards and made himself deserving of her long ago.
He pulled her closer to himself with his hand on her butt cheek and began to thrust his hips as well, locking them in the dance of pleasure that would satisfy them completely. Her walls squeezed him as they had his fingers, and he kissed her, needing to express the feelings their contact was bubbling up inside of him.
“I never want to let go…” He rasped against her lips, continuing to match each thrust of her hips. She started to shake a second time, letting Uielam know that she was almost at her limit. He matched her as she began to move faster, shutting his eyes as his pleasure grew, becoming bright lights behind his eyelids.
“Together…” She said, her lips kissing his ear as she whispered to him. “Together, Uielam.”
He understood exactly what she meant, and she did not need to tell him twice as they came apart at the same time, her walls clamping down on him as he exploded into his release with her name on his lips.
Chapter Seventeen
Lilia opened her eyes slowly, the first rays of morning light were seeping into the house, painting the wooden floors. The firepit died, leaving a tendril of smoke going straight up, and everything seemed oddly ethereal. There was a heavy weight on her torso, and as she looked down, she found a male arm wrapped around her.
Everything came back to her immediately, and she gasped. She had slept with Uielam! She turned over under his arm so that she could look at him. He was still asleep. His blonde hair lay against his face as he backed the light streaming in from the window. He looked like an angel, too good to be true. His lashes looked like feathers softly lying against his cheeks, and he breathed softly.
God, even in his sleep he is perfect!
Her cheeks warmed as she watched him. She had been so bold the night before, but now she was a nervous wreck.
The night before had been nothing short of mind-blowing. She lay there, replaying everything in her head. It had happened, but she still could not believe it. After Uielam had brought her to release, she had felt lax… as though the blankets were suddenly a cloud and she could just float off to sleep. It was until she glanced over at Uielam that her senses came back to her.
He was sitting and staring at his hand covered in her juices, and he sported a large tent in his kilt, the proof of his lack of satisfaction. She wanted to please him too. When she told him that she wanted him, she had meant that she wanted all of him. He had almost made her forget that as he dedicated himself to pleasing her. If she had not looked at him, then she might not have noticed, and she would have ended up falling asleep and leaving him to struggle with his need.
Uielam had not even noticed when she sat up and approached him. It was only
when her hand touched his kilt that he noticed her, grabbing her arm. She had given him an unimpressed look. He was clearly suffering, she did not understand why he continued to resist when everything within him seemed to beg for her to touch him.
She had told him that he cheated her, and he had. He was powerless against both her and his own needs as she crawled over him and straddled his hips. He had filled her hand as she stroked him, her fingers just barely going around him. He was solid and yet felt velvety in her palm. She had been worried briefly of whether he would fit inside her because she had never taken a lover before.
She could still remember the time when she happened to find Uielam sitting in the castle gardens fondling the daughter of one of the nobles who had come to visit his father from another clan. Her first reaction was shock, then jealousy followed by lust.
Her cheeks had been warm for a whole week after the girl was gone as she continuously remembered how he had touched her and thought of how much she wanted Uielam to feel her that way. Having Uielam inside her was way further than any of her imaginations had gone, probably because she had never experienced it before.
She had also thought about how many others Uielam had been with and whether she would not just be another woman who had been with him. She had decided then that she would deal with the consequences, whatever they ended up being. She had lowered herself unto him then, surrendering to the feelings he elicited in her and the uncertainty of the future that doing that would bring.
The intensity of their joining brought her to tears. She could not believe that something that felt that real and sincere would ever be empty, but she was prepared in case it was. She was ready for it. If he got up and never spoke to her again, she gave herself up to the whim of fate. If she got hurt, she would cry and get over it, but she would certainly not ever worry about not having taken her chances.
No matter how things ended up between them, Lilia knew that after his plan was done, her life would not remain the same. She would get her gold and make her life better. She would stop working as a maid and never make herself suffer by seeing him again. However, she was still scared. She did not want to say goodbye.
She had told herself that she was doing it for the gold, but in all honesty, she had been doing it for him. She had been hoping that she would reach him, that her chance at true love would bear fruit. She dreaded the outcome where she would need to police herself to forget about him and receive her gold and go on to find a better life and a family.
Lying in his arms while he slept only made these fears more concrete to her, and she struggled to push away the fears that began to choke her throat. She suddenly felt claustrophobic in his arms, needing desperately to be free. She moved the arm he had draped over her and sat up, her cheeks turning hot when she noticed that his kilt was up over his belly, leaving his member lying in open view.
She flicked his kilt back down, blushing furiously. They had obviously fallen asleep immediately after they came, sliding unto the blankets tiredly and allowing their sleep to take them. She held her head in her hands and tried to calm her racing heart. She could not afford to be getting hot and bothered so early in the morning, and it was very early.
They had made love in the evening of the day before, and as such, they went to sleep quite early. It was so early that it was still foggy outside, and the sun was not yet out. Uielam had matches in the tournament that day, and it was the finals. She wondered if there was not anything that he needed to do that morning, but she was way too much of a coward to wake him to ask. In fact, she hoped to be able to avoid him entirely, if possible.
She got to her feet carefully, noting the ache of her thighs and wincing as she did so. In hindsight, perhaps she should not have been on top. Especially not for her first time. Her thighs ached as though she had been riding a horse all day the night before. It still felt as though she were straddling him, and her walls felt empty without him as they spasmed against each other. She needed to wash, partly because the cold water would calm her overly sensitive body, and also because she could still feel her wetness from the day before between her thighs.
She slipped out of the house quietly, hoping that she would not wake him. She made her way down the familiar path to the river, the leaves on every branch wet from the early morning fog, and the croak of frogs hiding in the bushes accompanying each footstep. She reached the river and took off her shift dress, standing at the river bank naked while she hung it on a tree branch. The moment her hands were free, she crossed them over her chest. She knew that no one could see her, but she could still remember how Uielam had stumbled upon her.
She dipped her toe into the river and shivered, it was indeed cold, especially with how foggy the morning was. She went in anyway, the water passing her knees, hips, and finally submerging her nipples I the cold water and forcing her to gasp as her body tingled in the last vestiges of last night’s pleasure before finally calming down.
She sighed, wading even deeper into the river until she had to wave her arms to stay afloat. Taking a deep breath, she lowered her head, submerging herself completely and swimming under the water, only coming up when she ran out of air. Then she let go, weightless and floating on the river with her eyes closed and the cold water cooling her scalp and keeping all the problematic thoughts at bay.
…
Uielam woke up to an empty house. He could tell immediately that he was alone in the house as it was eerily quiet. The faint smell of smoke told him that the fire pit had died out not too long ago, and the rumples in the still-warm blanket beside him told him that Lilia had left his side only minutes ago. He was not sure what woke him, but it did not quite matter. He rolled unto his back and stared at the ceiling.
He still felt satisfied even after sleeping. He had slept so well too, and he felt utterly well-rested. He sat up slowly, stretching. It was very early, he could still see fog outside when he looked through the window. The night before had been splendid, sitting the way he was brought back memories of Lilia as she straddled him and moved with him, meeting his every thrust.
He ran his hand through his hair as the memories continued to flash through his mind. He wanted to spend the day with her, but he had matches that day. It was the finale of the tournament. He had felt too much the night before to continue to be undecided. He loved Lilia, and he wanted to be with her.
He hoped she was not regretting being with him, or thinking that the night before had meant nothing. He needed to tell her his feelings, desperately wanted her to know just how much she had come to mean to him.
There was nowhere else he knew that she would be if not the river, and so he hurried over there. He stopped short when he got there; it was empty. A frown started to form on his face when he noticed her dress hanging on a tree nearby. Suddenly, she was there, breaking the surface of the water once again, and floating on her back.
He took off his clothes quickly, hanging them on the tree branches next to hers. He waded into the cold water until he was swimming to get to her. He broke the surface when he was close enough, and she opened her eyes, glancing sideways at him. He gave her a smile. She looked like a river sprite with her hair floating around her head the way it was, the water lapping against her pale skin as she lay in it.
“May yer mornin’ be merry…” He greeted almost regretful to disturb her and make her move from the position she was in lying in the water. She turned, going under for a moment before coming back up.
“May yer mornin’ be merry…” she responded quietly. She looked nervous, as though she was not sure how to act around him now. Wanting to get rid of her doubts, he pulled her into his arms for a hug, her body now cold after being out in the open in the cold water, pressing against his warmer one. He pressed his lips to hers in a reassuring kiss. He wanted to convey his feelings through the kiss, all the warmth and love she made him feel.
He would need to talk to her properly, to express his feelings, and ask her if she wanted to be with him for the rest of his life. He c
ould not make it so rushed, though, it was the first time he had been in love. She deserved more than a confession in a cold river.
“I need to talk to ye…” he said. She gave him a small smile, beginning to wash in the water, prompting him to do the same. They were already in the river, so it made sense they might as well bathe.
“I ken,” she said.
“I have matches today… tis the final match of the tournament. Will ye come?” he asked. He wanted her there, he realized. She was very important to the plan and had gone through all of it with them. He felt she should be there for the finale.
“Aye… I will,” he answered. “Will ye still reveal yerself at the end after ye win? Ye ken that this will expose ye to the assassin.”
Uielam angled his head to the side. He had forgotten that was part of the plan and that with an assassin on the loose, it would put him in danger.
“I daenae ken… perhaps I will arrange with Osgar to use me to lure out the assassin and catch him,” he mused. “I cannae dae without the unveilin’. It defeats the purpose of the plan entirely.”
