“I don’t give a flying fuck what Maxum would have done. He’s a fucking traitor. Sure, I used God’s name in vain, but he used God to cover up his fucking bullshit crimes, so I think God will forgive me before he forgives Maxum. Fucking murderer. Tell me that hit on you is over.”
“No, I don’t think it is, but I’m not letting anyone get a fucking jump on me.” We were on such fucking high alert, I doubted anyone was going to fool me into getting a bullet in my skull. Not unless they had a sniper, which I didn’t know any MC who was lucky to have one of those other than the Quarter Kings, and they weren’t enemies or allies, too rolled up in their hoity toity French shit to worry about us.
“I don’t have a goddamn solution. I don’t know what the fuck we should do. Light ‘em all up? That would end this fucking war once and for all.”
“Can’t promise you’d get everybody or I’d be all for it. People escape fires all the time, then you’d have the survivors coming after us with a vengeance. No. That’s not the answer I’m looking for.”
“What, you want a peaceful solution?”
“I don’t want more of my members to die, so yeah, I want something that will stop this war and prevent more deaths.”
“We can’t stop the fucking war, we might as well fight to the death!” Austin screamed. He thought my temper was the problem, but sometimes he couldn’t see past his own fucking nose. Austin was my best friend all the way, and I knew he could explode more than I could. I never let my anger cloud my decisions while here he was, ready to go blow everyone up.
Austin was pissed. We all were. We were all just glad no innocents had been harmed in the fight. Seth blamed Reagen and Bonnie, but we all knew shit would have gone down without their presence and most likely, though he’d never admit it, if it wasn’t for Reagen, we’d be down an Enforcer, a fact that none of us wanted to admit to and a fact none of us wanted to see come true.
I finished my beer and studied the game board. “We need the Crypts on our side.”
“I thought they were.”
“Not to the extent we need them. They want to help take Maxum down, but they said nothing about having our backs if or when we get attacked again. We need to figure out a permanent alliance with them. They have the numbers we lack, and we need them if we’re going to survive when the smoke clears. We need to find out what they want in return, and we need to find a way to get it for them.”
“The Enforcer has the hots for Kara. Maybe we could trade her,” Austin said with a cheeseball grin.
“Are you out of your goddamn mind? We don’t trade people.” I didn’t know why I was suddenly protective of that bitch. She was fucking crazy and had abandoned us in our time of need. But I wasn’t dumb enough to think it would be easy for her to jump right in. She had been saying for years her father was not a good man and nobody had her back. And from the sounds of it, she had been running and hiding from the man this whole time.
“It’s war, and we do whatever it takes. You said it yourself— we find out what they want and find a way to get it for them. If what they want is Kara, then we find a way to convince her to get with the guy.”
“We’re not giving them Kara. Get that idea out of your fucking mind.”
“Well, why the hell not? Don’t tell me you have the hots for Kara.”
“No, you fucking fool,” I protested. “If we give them Kara, we’re practically sending Maxum to their door, and he’ll blow them to smithereens to get at her. What kind of alliance would that be? Those who are left will join the other two clubs and come after us, then we’ll be completely screwed. Use your fucking head. And I don’t mean the one between your legs, you fucking moron.” I slapped him in the back of the head again.
The door opened and Kara stepped in. “What the fuck do you want?”
“Hi Tony! I’m happy to see you too.”
“Where the fuck is Seth and Reagen?” I asked her. I forgot the two used to be each other’s bitch. I could guarantee that was where Reagen ran off to if Kara has been sniffing around here again.
“Why would I know?”
I glared at her. “Don’t fuck with me, Kara. I am not one of those men who drool after you that you can pull a blindfold over.” As I said it, I noticed her all black ensemble. Night riding like that could get her killed up here in the mountains, but she was in her element. She had always been hot and off limits. Now, she was hot and fucking out of her mind.
“They’re together and they’re fine. I have news for you.”
“Spill it, then get the fuck out.”
“It’s really good news.”
“Is your fucking father dead? Is the war fucking over?”
“No.”
“Then it ain’t good news.
“The war isn’t over, but it’s going to be. I have solved our crisis,” Kara said, barging the rest of the way in.
“What the fuck, Kara?” I demanded.
“Shut up for once in your fucking life, Tony. I just solved your fucking problem. I got the Crypt Keepers to agree to back us up entirely. I did what you couldn’t do, so I’m here to tell you I’m taking my claim as Prez of the Midnight Saints.”
“What the fuck?” I jumped up.
Austin jumped up to get between us. “Hang on, Tony! Like hell you are, you fucking bitch!”
I smiled at his reaction. “We don’t have to worry about my asshole father anymore. The Crypt Keepers are going to help us deal with him.”
“Since when do you have an in with the Crypt Keepers?” I didn’t even know why the fuck I was asking. I had answered my own damn question when I mentioned the dicks she had wrapped around her finger.
“I have an ex in their ranks. He got me an audience with the Prez. It was an easy deal. In exchange for a discount at the bar on Friends of the MC night, and a new ally contract, they agreed to help when shit goes down, and I promised we’d help if shit goes down.”
“We? We? Since when are you a Midnight Saint?” I barked over Austin’s shoulder, feeling a bit like I was in a playground fight.
“I was born a Midnight Saint, you fucking ass. I hate my old man for what he did, and I want to prove to him that he didn’t fuck us up as much as he wanted to. With me in charge.”
“With you in charge, we’re all screwed.” I laughed as I ran my hands through my blond hair. Austin seemed just as amused by the idea as I was.
“Oh really? You think you’re doing a good job holding this club together? I heard about all the shit that went down,” Kara said, jabbing a finger in my face.
“You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.” I swatted her finger away, moving around Austin to fight my own battle. The bitch wouldn’t dare try to hurt me. “Look, Kara, we came to you when shit first went down, and you all but gave us the finger. Do you remember that?”
“Yes, I remember that. Well, I changed my mind. I’m allowed to do that, you know. Things changed when that fucking asshole who gave sperm to make me broke into my fucking house.”
“You mean you changed your mind when you realized you needed us to protect your sorry ass.”
“I don’t need anyone’s protection. I came back to save your sorry asses, to save this fucking club, because, believe it or not, I actually do care about this fucking club and the guys and gals in it. What happened to Devon was beyond fucked up. He’s going to pay. Mark my words, one way or another, he's going to pay for that.”
“I’m the Prez now, so no, you fucking can’t just change your mind and want to take over. It doesn’t fucking work like that, Kara. Now, how the fuck do you know everything that went on?”
“Nope, not revealing my source, but you can trust them. I know I can.”
“I don’t even know that I can trust you, bitch.” Didn’t I just defend her to Austin? Maybe I should have let him do what he wanted. If someone told me this morning that Kara was going to walk into my club today and claim Prez, I would have gone after her and knocked some sense into her rather than meeting with a pissed off VP.
/> “Well, you fucking better learn fast because like it or not, I’m not going anywhere this time.”
“We’ll see about that,” I snarled.
“Seriously, you two need to go fuck and get it over with,” Austin said. “We can deal with this shit after that.”
“I’m not going near that fucking cunt, and if you suggest it again, I’ll fucking knock your fucking teeth out.” I shook my fist in his face. He just laughed. I was glad one of us was having a good fucking time here.
“What makes you think I’d ever let your fucking gross ass cock near my pussy?” Kara snapped at me.
“Then we’re in agreement.”
“We are.”
“Fine, now get your fucking cunt out of my fucking clubhouse.”
“No!” Kara crossed her arms and stood her ground, and it took me by surprise. I felt myself stir in my pants, and that only fueled my rage. Fuck, why did women like this have to be so damn sexy? Power and that body? Fucking tats almost from head to toe like a piece of art, long hair down to her firm ass . . .
What the fuck? I needed to snap out of it.
“Austin, remove her from the premises.”
“Austin, you fucking touch me and I’ll fucking kick you where it fucking hurts,” Kara threatened.
“Where the fuck is Seth when I fucking need him?” I said, ripping at my hair. “I’m going to fucking kick his fucking ass for choosing that fucking Diablo whore over us.” Truth was, I didn’t really mean it. I couldn’t imagine ousting Seth, but he sure as hell was a good place to put my anger right now when I needed to not further the tension in the room, which was a mix of rage and lust.
“Be careful, Tony, you don’t want Seth to—”
“What? Leave us for the fucking Blue Diablos? Do you think he’d really take the girl he claims he loves back to them? Austin, where is your fucking head? Maybe I need to fucking kick your ass to wake your ass up.” I swore he was trying to play devil’s advocate today for the hell of it.
“Okay, Tony, enough, and you could certainly try to kick my ass, but we both know who would really win in a fight between us. Kara, go find someplace else to be and let Tony and I discuss your proposal. Besides, you can’t just come in and take over, we have to hold a vote.”
“I need a beer,” Kara announced.
“Plenty in the clubhouse fridge, help yourself,” Austin said. “Tony, let’s talk.”
“We’re not holding a fucking vote,” I protested. “I’m the fucking Prez, she’s a fucking cunt. She has no business being here.”
Chapter 5
Tony
I called a meeting with my officers to discuss Kara and the things she told Austin and me.
“A woman can’t run the Midnight Saints, not during a time like this. She’s going to get us all killed. Her old man wants to see us fall, and if he thinks we’re weak, he’s going to attack and wipe us out. He’s got two clubs working for him, two vicious clubs who aren’t afraid of getting down and dirty. How is she going to deal with that?” Jed asked.
“To be fair, Kara ain’t no pussy,” Seth said. “She’s a bitch, and a bitch knows how to get shit done. She isn’t afraid of her father, and she did rally the Crypt Keepers. Now, they got the numbers, so if shit did go down, and they had our backs, we’d be able to—”
“You having a meeting without me?” Kara barged in.
“Kara, get the fuck out of here. This is a meeting about you, so you can’t be here.” I couldn’t even yell anymore, I was so sick of her shit.
“Like fuck I can’t.” Kara grabbed a seat and stubbornly sat down and crossed her arms. “Let me guess, half of you think I’m not man enough to handle what it takes to be Prez of a motorcycle club?”
“Shut the fuck up and let the men talk.” In hindsight, that was probably the wrong fucking thing to say.
“Make me, asshole.”
I gritted my teeth. Part of me just wanted to smack her pretty face, but I tried really hard not to hit women. Though Kara wasn’t a woman, she was a bitch who thought she was equal to the men, and I wasn’t afraid to hit a man to put him in his place.
“You know, Tony, if you two just fucked, maybe we could actually get something done around here,” Austin said. I swung at him, and he ducked.
“This isn’t sexual tension, Austin. I told you that.”
“You also said if I brought it up again, you’d knock my teeth out.”
“Stand still so I can.”
“Like hell! Besides, I don’t believe you.”
“Well, it’s not.”
“You sure about that?”
“Go fuck yourself, Austin. We’re dealing with important shit.” Kara had lost her nerve. Not that I could blame her with the way my own VP was teasing the fuck out of us like a schoolyard bully, but I couldn’t let her talk to him like that.
“You don’t get to tell my VP to go fuck himself,” I snapped.
“Go fuck yourself, Tony.” She flipped me her middle fingers.
“Bitch, you are trying my patience.”
“Seriously, you two just need to go fuck each other,” Austin said again. I ignored him. He was clearly trying to continue to get rises out of us and I wasn’t in the damn mood for it anymore. We had a problem to solve, one that could change the entire course and safety of the club.
“Okay, then how about a drink?” Seth suggested. “The three of us can go to the bar and discuss this.”
“You’re buying,” I said, still pissed at him. “Kara, you better be fucking gone by the time I get back.”
“Hell no, I’m not going anywhere.” She crossed her arms stubbornly. I couldn’t help but admit she was sexy, all pouty like that. Maybe Austin was right, all we needed was to fuck, but I wasn’t about to give in. Besides, I imagined if I made the suggestion, I’d get a boot to my balls, then they would really hurt.
Austin was right about one thing— I needed a good fuck. If not Kara, then I’d find a whore to satisfy me. At this point, anyone would do.
We arrived at the bar. The bartender was looking extra hot tonight. I’d had her a couple times before, and I knew she liked how I made her feel. She wasn’t a clubwhore or anything. In fact, she was a pretty self-respecting woman. She wouldn’t mess with trash, and when she wanted something, she took it.
“Hey, Elle, want to go fuck?”
“Sure, Tony. Hank, I’m taking a break!” She grabbed me by the hand and lead me to the bathroom. She locked the door and I threw her against it. I unbuckled her pants and pushed them down. I only stopped long enough to appreciate her round ass and the perfect V leading down to her hot cunt. Then, I shoved into her.
She clung to me as I fucked her against the door. There was no heat, no passion— it was just friction between our body parts that got us both off. And that was just fine by us.
After I shot into her, I pulled out, wiped us both off, and pulled up my pants. She pulled up hers, stopped to wash her hands, and went back to work.
I joined Seth and Austin at the booth in the back corner.
“Better?” Austin asked.
“Yeah.” I took the glass of beer in front of me, clinked it against his, and then took a long drink. It tasted like horse piss, but it did the trick.
“So, Kara wants to take over the club. Who the fuck saw that coming?” Austin asked. “What are you going to do, Tony? Are you going to roll over and let her fuck you in the ass?”
“Nobody fucks me in the ass,” I snarled before chugging the rest of my beer. I snapped my fingers and Elle brought me another one. I smacked her ass as she walked away.
“Is she even a member of the Midnight Saints?”
“She doesn’t have her kutte, but, well, she is his daughter, so technically, yeah, she is, and technically, yeah, she can come in and claim her right. Which is why before I took claim, I went to her fucking ass and offered it to her. She fucking flipped us off and told us she wanted nothing to do with it.”
“To be fair, that was before Maxum broke into
her house,” Seth piped up, just asking for me to comment on his shit.
“True, and I’m all for letting her into the clubhouse to protect her from him. It seems we collect strays now.” I glared at Seth.
“When are you going to let it go?” he demanded.
“Never,” I said, drinking my beer. “Or at least not till she earns her kutte, which if you ask me will be never.”
“She saved my fucking life and nearly got choked to death for it, or did you forget? If she hadn’t been there . . .”
“Oh, come on, Seth, you could have handled that without her interference. You’re the fucking Enforcer,” I raged. “What the fuck are you the Enforcer for if you can’t handle a fucking gun in your face? If shit goes down, you better fucking have your balls back from that bitch or you’ll have hell to pay. You both will.” Okay, so maybe I lied when I said I was alright now. That fuck should have done something, but it didn’t. I didn’t know if it was because we were in such deep shit now or if there was something more keeping me from being satisfied.
Seth got up and marched over to the pool table and started shooting the crap out of the balls. I couldn’t blame him for not wanting to be near me. While I had a right to be pissed, taking shots at Reagen and my own Enforcer were not the best ways to deal with it. There was one person who deserved my ire that was nowhere near me.
Kara.
Fuck, if I didn’t see me taking it out on her and that tatted body in all kinds of ways right then.
“You have got to control your temper, Tony,” Austin scolded, always ready to keep me in check. That was why he was my VP and my best friend. “The bitch hasn’t done anything, and I think you’ve punished Seth enough. He’s been nothing but loyal to you. Sure, he made some bad judgement calls, but he’s been loyal to the club. That’s what matters most of all in the end.”
I knew Austin was right— loyalty was what mattered most in the end, and Seth had the loyalty of a dog. Was it too much to ask for this bitch? Was it really her fault she got knocked around by her old man so much that she had to flee into enemy territory for sanctuary? Had I become so jaded that I couldn’t see a real woman in desperate need of help? I ran my hands through my hair. Maybe what I really needed was to get to know the bitch. I had heard Seth’s telling of her tale, but I had never bothered to hear hers. “Seth, bring Reagen over here,” I called out to him.
