“Yes.” Jareth reached into his coat and pulled out a leather wallet, the same unusual symbol imprinted on the outside. “Before we converse further, I need to have you sign a non-disclosure agreement.” He opened the wallet and extracted a business card, sliding the card along the table toward Lily. “This is the address of my lawyer. You have an appointment with him tomorrow at noon. He’ll explain all the details to you.”
Jareth rose, dropping a few dollars on the table, a tip for the waitress. “I’ve purchased your dinner for the evening–I guessed, so forgive me if it’s not your favorite–it’ll be waiting for you at the front register when you’re ready to leave. I wouldn’t want you to fill up solely on pie.” His gaze rose to the window, drinking in the sky. “I’d leave soon though; the rain will start again in about twenty minutes.”
“Who are you?” gaped Lily, staring at him with an open mouth.
“Ah, ah.” Jareth shook his head with a grin. He lifted his cup, draining the liquid and then placing the cup back onto the table. “I still have one question left.”
“Which is?”
Jareth bowed low. “Have a pleasant evening, Miss Lyon.” He turned and swiftly disappeared out of the diner.
