Riley and I look at each other and squeal as quietly as we can to avoid calling too much embarrassing attention to ourselves. Our hopes are rising…could there be some guys waiting just around the corner?
We settle up and excitedly follow where he had pointed to find our way to the bar. It’s just about sunset and absolutely gorgeous outside. It’s still warm, but not as hot as it had been all day long.
Looking around I can see that this is definitely more the scene we were looking for, but it’s busy. There’s nowhere to sit and even though I can see a few tables with some interesting looking men, I’m not quite ready to just go sit down uninvited.
“There!” Riley grabs my arm and starts pulling me. “There’s two seats left at the bar, just waiting for us!”
We make a beeline to those seats and tackle them, giggling.
All of a sudden, a smooth, male voice cuts through our giggles.
“Riley, Celeste. What can I get you, ladies?”
Lucas. We’ve found Lucas! He’s so much more handsome than I remember and I swear his blue eyes are sparkling at us like we’re in a cartoon.
“Lucas! Oh my goodness, it’s so great to see you!” Riley gushes before I can even figure out how to make my tongue work again.
“Two Margaritas, por favor,” she asks him.
“Coming right up,” he promises with a perfect, white smile.
Riley grabs my hand and squeezes.
“We found him,” she whispers excitedly. “I told you we’d find him!”
“I can’t believe this,” I answer. “He’s so fucking hot, Riley. How can he be so hot?” I’m trying to figure out if being a little drunk is going to be a good thing or a really, really bad thing.
Our Margaritas show up and I take a sip immediately.
“So, ladies, how has your vacation been so far?” Lucas asks, leaning his Grecian god-like body over the bar to chat with us.
“It’s been good so far,” Riley answers. “It would be better if we knew more places to go like this, you know, with gorgeous, friendly bartenders to keep us company.”
I roll my eyes. Why am I letting her do the talking? She’s shameless! But Lucas seems to like it because he’s smiling at her with a very appreciative look in his eyes. Those eyes shift their way to me, and I melt. I cannot understand why I’ve turned into this silent fangirl, but I also can’t think of anything to say, so I just smile stare at him. Like an idiot.
“Well, in that case,” he says, still looking at me, “What do you think about letting me play tour guide for you tomorrow? I’d be happy to show two such lovely ladies around.”
My eyes widen but I still can’t make words come out of my mouth. I look at Riley. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see him look a little confused at me, and Riley gives me a “what the fuck is wrong with you glare,” but answers him happily, “We’d love that!”
CHAPTER 4
Riley
I slept good nine hours last night, but I woke up this morning feeling like I had just closed my eyes.
Ever since, I’ve got this odd exhaustion/excitement thing going on. But as the time to meet with Lucas approaches, the excitement is definitely winning.
We’re going to hang out with Lucas, Mr. Most Handsome Man Alive, all day!
He’s picking us up at 9:30 AM and I have no clue what we’re going to be doing or where we’re going to go. Celeste and I each have beach bags packed with towels and emergency makeup bags, but we’re dressed for pretty much anything. I think.
She looks incredible, as always, in this little turquoise dress covered in cutouts. I know she’s got a matching turquoise bikini underneath.
I’ve decided to go for my simple black bikini underneath a light linen and chiffon maxi dress. The top is just solid black and it shows off nice cleavage and is open in the back. The skirt is this gorgeous paisley/snakeskin sort of pattern is deep purple, emerald, and gold. I bought it on the second day of our vacation. We were wandering down the streets looking for some souvenirs when that dress literally called my name. Now I’m glad I bought it because it makes for great beachwear, but it looks pretty classy, I think.
“Let’s go, it’s almost 9:30!” I shout excitedly at Celeste, who looks just as anxious as I feel.
“I am not drinking anything. Not. A. Thing,” she replies.
I laugh at her, knowing exactly why. For some reason, when Lucas surprised us at the bar last night, she completely lost all nerve and didn’t say one single word to the poor guy.
I’m not going to lie, I’m ok with that. Since the moment we met him it’s been pretty obvious that he only has eyes for her, but if I can keep making him smile by, you know, talking to him and such, then I’ll be happy.
We make our way down to the lobby and I see him immediately. My arm shoots up in the air to wave around like a crazy thing. I swear, it has a mind of its own.
Lucas’s smiling at both of us and I can’t help but grin right back. He’s so handsome.
He’s always been immaculately clean shaven before, but today he’s sporting a “touch me” amount of stubble and I can just imagine scratching my nails over his chin. He’s wearing khaki shorts and a light blue cotton button-down shirt.
I look over at Celeste and figure the three of us look good together.
“So,” I say cheerfully, “What’s on the agenda?”
“Well, I didn’t know what you ladies like to do, so I’ve chosen two things that you must do while in Mexico, and after that, we can play it by ear. Sound good?”
“Sounds great to me,” I agree, glancing at Celeste. I can see Lucas looking at her too. I give her a hard look.
“Me too,” Celeste says, finally breaking her silence. “What’s the first thing that we have to do while we’re here in Mexico?”
He looks way too happy that she’s found her voice, and I can feel a tiny tingle of envy. “See some ruins, of course,” he answers as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“There’s a great little site not far from here called El Rey. They’re not the most awe-inspiring, but they’re close and, to be honest, even though they’re pretty touristy because of being in the Hotel Zone, they still give you that feeling of ancient worship. You guys ok with walking a bit?”
We both nod, and he guides us in the right direction with one hand on the small of each of our backs. I try not to shiver, but I can’t help but think that he’s enjoying the light touch just as much as I am. And I’m sure Celeste is too.
I’m starting to realize that it was pretty naïve of us to think that we could both crush on this handsome man and then be ok with whoever he may (or may not) choose. I’m pretty sure he’s already leaning towards Celeste, and I can’t decide if I should just let it happen and pretend I don’t care, or if I should up my game.
I’m going to be fantasizing about what’s underneath that shirt no matter what, so I may as well give it my best shot, I guess. I’ll be happy for Celeste if he makes a move on her at the end of the day, but I’m not going to give up just yet. Not when she’s acting like a teenager meeting her rockstar crush.
I glance up at Lucas as we walk. “So, Lucas, you never told us where you’re from, originally?” I ask him, suddenly realizing that as much as Celeste and I have talked about him, he hasn’t actually talked much about himself.
“Hm…originally, New York. But I moved around the US a lot as a kid. My parents moved us out here 12 years ago though, so this is home,” he answers.
I glance at him sideways, wondering if he was going to continue. I catch him looking at me and a little thrill runs down my spine. I’m sure he was checking me out, and I’m also sure he didn’t mind if I knew it. Maybe I do still have a chance…
“Why’d they decide to come here?” Celeste’s voice breaks through my moment with Lucas, and I watch as I lose his attention.
“They took over a school here. That’s what they did when I was a kid too. They’d find struggling
private schools and take them over, opening them up to families who couldn’t traditionally afford private schools. They organize scholarships and grants and make sure that education is a priority over money. Ironically, they make more money than average private schools because they skip a lot of the bureaucracy that goes along with owning a school. When they found a school here, in Cancun, that needed help, they came to the rescue. We all fell in love with Mexico though, so we stopped jumping from one place to the next and we’ve been here ever since.”
“That’s incredible,” Celeste says. “What a way to grow up! How come you didn’t decide to become a teacher yourself, and work for the family school?”
“I always considered it,” he admits, “but I guess growing up in a world where everything was so focused on school and education, my respect for it overshadowed my desire to continue living it. I love my parents, and everything they do, but I needed out. I needed a bit of my own life.”
He’s looking at her with such intensity, I can feel the heat radiating between them. It’s actually kind of hot to watch, and I can just imagine what it would feel like to have him look at me like that.
“So now you tend bars,” I add, smiling at him. As if I broke some sort of spell, he gives his head a little shake.
“Now I tend bars,” he agrees. “And I won’t lie – I love it. I get to meet some really interesting travelers. And, when I’m having a really great day,” he winks at me, “Beautiful women too.”
I smile and blush. I’m not usually shy, but this guy is getting to me. He knows just how to play us both, I think. I wonder if he’s going to leave the decision up to us, at the end of the day.
If he does, what on earth are we going to do?
We spend the next hour wandering the ruins at El Rey, which really does give us a feeling of ancient worship. It’s shocking to me how old the stones feel, and how fresh the mossy grass is.
When we finally make our way out of the ruins, Celeste asks, “So, tour guide, what’s the second thing we need to do while we’re in Mexico?”
Lucas smiles at her and quietly just guides us across the main road. We have to make a run for it because there is no crosswalk and the road is busy. With Celeste and me shrieking and laughing, we make a bolt for it.
We calm ourselves and make our way towards the beach. We wander quietly for a few minutes, heading down a pristine, white beach. There are beautiful little palm frond umbrellas everywhere and lizards skittering through the sand.
It takes me a minute to figure out what’s odd about this beach. But when it finally hits me I gasp, “Where are all the beach parties!?”
Lucas is grinning, apparently waiting for this reaction.
“This is the only beach in the Hotel Zone that doesn’t have any hotels, restaurants or bars so the spring-breakers don’t come here much. You can get food and drinks if you know what you’re doing, but it’s too much hassle for them, so we,” he puts his hand on the small of my back again, and leans in to talk quietly in my ear, “Get the beach almost entirely to ourselves.”
A shiver runs down my back as I can feel his breath on my shoulder.
We set up our towels and Celeste and I strip down to our bikinis. I watch Lucas, who watches Celeste. I can’t blame him, she has a phenomenal body. Not that I’m terrible to look at or anything, but I do not have the curves that she’s blessed with. I’d look at her too if I was him.
We spend the afternoon together, the three of us, playing in the ocean and lounging on the beach.
Lucas is a master conversationalist and I’m pretty sure he knows all our life stories by the end of the day. I can’t help but feel like he’s much more attracted to Celeste, though he is very conscious about paying equal attention to me. What a gentleman! I’m grateful, but I can tell it’s time for me to bow out of this battle and let Celeste have the chance to enjoy this beautiful man all to herself.
Just when I’m trying to figure an excuse the leave the two alone, Lucas asks, “Would you ladies like to join me for a drink at my place tonight? If you ask me, that’s the third thing you have to do while you’re here in Cancun.” He’s smiling down at Celeste.
“I guess we have no choice then, do we,” she answers. Glancing over at me, her eyes ask for confirmation.
“Yeah, that sounds great,” I agree. “But do you think we could stop at the hotel first to freshen up?”
“Of course. I’ll give you my address and you can take a taxi over whenever you’re ready. It’s not too far from your hotel.” He stands up, shaking the sand off his shorts.
Even though I know I’m not going to pursue him any further, I can’t stop my eyes from soaking up one last vision of his muscled, tanned chest. He is a sight.
As my eyes keep working their way up his body, I finally notice that he’s watching me checking him out. He has a look in his eyes that I can’t mistake for anything but lust. He holds my gaze.
“So we’ll head back now, and see you in a few hours, Lucas?” Celeste breaks through, once again putting an end to the moment.
We all gather our things and head back to the hotel.
“I’ll see you soon,” Lucas waves to us, and continues walking towards the residential area.
Celeste and I get back to the room and we’re barely inside before she starts gushing and squealing about how amazing he is. I smile, ruefully, and agree.
“What’s wrong?” she asks, noticing I’m not quite as gleeful as she is.
“Nothing,” I assure her. “Nothing’s wrong at all. I’m just a little exhausted from all the sun, I guess. I think I might just stay here tonight, catch up on some sleep. But you should definitely go, though.” I smile, giving her what I hope is an encouraging and naughty look. “Go get yourself a piece of that handsome man.”
“You don’t feel well?” Celeste gives me a hard look. “No. No way. I am not having any of that. What is going on with you? Of course, you’re coming!”
“No, really,” I start, not wanting to have to fight this out with her. “I’m good here. You go and have some fun, just be safe, ok?” I give her a wink.
“Riley, what’s going on? I’m not going without you and I know you’re not tired so you may as well just tell me the truth. Don’t you like him anymore?”
“Of course, I do, he’s like the Mary Poppins of men – practically perfect in every way. But…let’s be real. What’s going to happen if we’re both there? Either neither of us gets to have any fun, or one of us sits on the sidelines awkwardly. I could tell he’s super into you, so I think you should just go and have enough fun for both of us.”
I can actually feel tears heat up behind my eyes and I don’t want to discuss this anymore.
“Don’t be crazy!” Celeste almost shouts at me, kind of surprising me out of my own misery. “He was flirting with you all day long. He wants us both to come. He invited us both and we’re both going. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but we’re going together. And we’re both going to have fun.”
Celeste’s face is saying she isn’t going to tolerate any backtalk, and I’m not really sure how to reply anyways. We’re both going to have fun? What exactly does she mean by that? He wants us both?
What on earth is about to go down?
Suddenly, I’m way too intrigued. But Celeste is right. Lucas invited both of us and if she’s ok with me being there, why should I stay in the hotel? I decide that there is no way I’m going to miss out on whatever is about to happen. And I feel a little surge of warmth between my legs at the anticipation.
CHAPTER 5
Lucas
As I rush around to tidy up my place before the girls arrive, I replay some of the events of the day. I can’t believe what a good time I had. Riley and Celeste are completely interesting, both in their own unique ways.
Riley’s a little saucepot, always flirting with me. Not that I’m complaining. I had to stop myself from pouncing on her multiple times today. I constantly want to punish
that mouth of hers for being so sexy and tempting. I imagine crushing my lips against hers and my cock gives an eager little jump.
But then there’s Celeste. She is not nearly so flirtatious, but she oozes sex appeal. Just watching her walk along the beach was making me forget my good manners.
They’re both smart. And funny, but in different ways. Riley is very…emotive. Talking with her body and making the most wonderful faces as she tells stories. Celeste catches you off guard with sly comments or well-placed one-liners.
They had my head spinning all day and now they’re coming over. To my place. Both of them.
What the fuck was I thinking? When you ask a girl back to your place at night, a little action is a sort of implied. Not assumed, necessarily, but it’s on the table.
What does it mean when you invite two girls back to your place at night?
They agreed to come…does that mean they might both be interested? Or are neither of them interested?
“What the fuck have I got myself into, Butch?” I muse out loud.
I hear a knock at my door just as I’m tucking the last corner of my bed sheet down.
Well, here goes nothing, I think to myself and go to greet the two beautiful women.
“Hi there,” I grin as I open the door to let them in.
“Hi,” they chime together, and Riley follows Celeste inside. I can immediately sense something has changed, but I don’t know what. Riley, all of a sudden, seems more timid, which is the exact opposite of the Riley I spent the day with.
Wondering what’s up, I get us all some Coronas. I come back to the living room and see the two girls sitting on opposite ends of my couch. Which makes it nice and easy for me to sit right down between them.
With beers in hand, the three of us relax into casual conversation. We’re laughing and joking and I’m feeling hands brush up against me constantly. From both sides.
It started with Celeste, and I went to reciprocate but before I could, I felt Riley’s hand on my thigh as she told a story, completely capturing my entire attention.
