Raul's passion for solving cases as a detective continued to be a hobby throughout the rest of his life. As hard as he thought about it and tried to reconstruct the crime, Raul never figured out who killed Rollie Sweats in his Zurich apartment. His primary suspects were Claude, Slice, Gretchen, and Mr. Todd. He even considered the possibility that Helmer or Milkweed had something to do with the murder. A long shot was Rollie's brother, M.C. The one thing he felt was undeniable was that the intruder was looking for something in the apartment. The obvious guess was the original host samples provided by the World Council, but it could have been something else. Rollie claimed he couldn’t remember his death. He also encouraged Raul not to waste time trying to figure out something which held no significance in the future. Raul wasn't as sure about that as Rollie.

EPILOGUE
"Hello, dearie. I've been expecting you."
Grandma LeeLee wrapped her white gown around Sophia and hugged her like one of her kinfolks.
"Let me look at you. My, my, child. You get prettier each time I see you." Both angels had a heavenly white hue which radiated the power of their Maker.
"Grandmother, will I be staying here this time? I don't want to go back. I'm tired of the evil on Earth."
"Sweetie, you can stay with me. Your black smudge is gone. You have done His will by helping the Man-From-The-East and making the ultimate sacrifice. You are welcome to stay with us."
From nowhere, Sophia could hear millions of voices welcoming her to Heaven. In every direction, she could see masses of spirits clad in white robes. Those too far from her sight emitted a brilliant dot of white light. She wondered if they might also be the stars of night.
Sophia was at peace for the first time. There was no evil to contend with; only love.
"Hello, handsome."
Sophia wondered who Grandma LeeLee was talking to.
"Alex. Alex, is that you?"
Sophia turned and gazed directly into K's eyes. A smile crossed his face, replacing a frown of bewilderment.
Sophia fell into K's arms and he stroked her head. With her head buried in his gown, she said, "I have so much to tell you."
