His Dragon Warrior

Spent, I collapsed back against him and struggled to catch my racing breath. His lips brushed my neck and helped me to come down from my high, as did his soothing touch along my thigh.
“Do we have time for a warm shower?” I murmured with slurred, happy words.
“Must we?”
“Do you want all the locals to know that I’m yours?” I smirked and leaned to catch his eye.
“As if they can’t already tell.”
But he hoisted me into his arms and carried me into the shower.
With the warm water pouring down over us, Bishop caressed every part of my body with the cotton-scented soap. I leaned back against him as he smoothed the suds over my belly and traced the near-invisible birth scar with his fingertips. “I’m so glad all of this worked out.”
“Me too.”
He stopped doting on my body for a moment, locked eyes with me and frowned. “I know I should have said it by now.”
“Said what?”
“That I love you.”
I laughed and held his face with both hands. Water splashed over the broad bridge of his nose and I couldn’t help but kiss him there. “I know that you love me, you fool. I see it every day in how you work to protect me, and how sweet you are with Stormy.”
“But even still. It’s important to me that you know, in every way. I love you.”
“And I love you. Obviously.”
We fell into a deep, passionate kiss before the hotel room door slammed and Ace called out for us in a tone that shot panic through my body. We rushed to dry ourselves and raced out of the bathroom in only towels. To my relief, Stormy was perfectly happy and gurgling in the carrier strapped to Ace. But his face was drawn, and his eyes were panicked.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” Bishop demanded.
“I need to get to Georgia.”
“Who’s Georgia?” I asked.
“Beau?” Bishop said, and I was completely lost.
“Yes, he called me. He’s in trouble.”
“Beau is Georgia?”
“Beau is a Divine Omega in Georgia. The state of Georgia,” Bishop explained gently, while Ace paced across the room and tugged at his hair. He was being uncharacteristically frantic.
“I never should have left him there.”
“Did he say what kind of trouble?” Bishop asked.
“No. But I shouldn’t have left him.” Ace took a deep breath and ran a hand over his face. “I never should have left my mate.”
