"It is a shame that we can't drink from it," Jada said. "Clean water is in shorter supply than I had hoped."
"Wait," Riley responded, grabbing everyone’s attention. "We kept a bunch of our industrial water filters in a tattered laundry basket by the back gate at our old place. We might be able to retrieve those."
"What about the barrels?" I asked, feeling excitement building in me.
"At least six were empty if I remember correctly," Alexa replied. "They'll be there, too."
A plan was coming together. If we couldn't find a suitable place in this area to make our next home, we'd head back the way we came. Either way, we needed to go back and salvage what we could from the old place. There was too much of value left behind. Surely not everything perished in the flames. However, it was quite possible that Mister Skull’s people confiscated what we needed.
Stella and I took first shift at guard duty. We were the freshest and the last to awake from our naps. Alexa and Bianka would be next. Then Jada and Riley. The groupings made sense because each had a strong tactically minded person and an exceptionally gifted person. They were just odd couples, personality wise except for me and Stella.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" Stella asked me when I checked on her at the back door. Things had been quiet outside. I only spotted a few small animals and needed a break from staring out the window.
The house was dark, of course. No electricity. No lanterns or flashlights. Whoever had been staying here before bugged out with all their stuff. Unless someone traced us back to this specific house there was no reason for anyone to come knocking. That didn't mean that they wouldn't go searching for the people that they spotted running up the street, though.
"Sure," I answered as I pulled her to me, then placed a kiss on her forehead. She wasn't really any younger than the rest of us, except Jada. But her youthful appearance and innocence had us often treating her like a teenager. Some of the innocence was gone now, though. I had taken it from her.
"Would you like some, you know..." I asked. I wasn't sure how Stella would approach me with an opportunity for sex. Maybe this was it. She was pretty timid. The opposite end of the spectrum from Jada.
Stella smiled bashfully before answering, "You mean sex? No, I'm okay. But I'm happy to be there for you if you need it. You know I love you, husband."
"Yes, I do," I replied, pulling her closer. "And I love you, too. I guess I'm okay for tonight. I do look forward to a more peaceful time when we can make love whenever we feel like it."
"That time might not come anytime soon," Stella said. She was being realistic, not negative. "I don't want to be the only wife not doing their duty."
"I appreciate that," I replied. "But I'm okay."
A moment later I felt her hand on the front of my shorts. She was feeling around for my penis. It was so unlike her.
"What are you doing?"
"Miss Alexa and Miss Riley said that I shouldn't just take your word for it. Sometimes you get horny, but you are too nice of a guy to say so." She had found my pepe by that point and was pulling on it through my shorts and boxer underpants. It obviously wasn't firm, but it would be soon if she kept at it.
"Did they?" I replied. "Well, we're on guard duty now. We'll see how it goes when it is our turn to sleep, but honestly I'm okay unless you need something."
I went back to watch out the front and side windows. But I couldn't shake Stella's loving touch and attitude from my brain. By the time that we were relieved of duty, I had half of a chubby going already. I was hoping that Stella would still be agreeable.
I spoke with Bianka and Alexa for a few minutes when they took over. My first wife didn't even bother to look out the windows. She would know without looking if anyone got close to the house. Bianka, though, felt compelled to keep an eye out. I was surprised that neither of them noticed my pants slightly tented. It was dark, though. But maybe they did see and didn't want to point it out. Had they been doing something naughty themselves in that bedroom upstairs? Is that why they were always together now?
Stella was already in the vacated bed when I walked into the room. She was lying there naked staring at the doorway awaiting my entry. Seductive, she was not. Just naked, and beautiful. She had a great toned body, but she didn't move like someone who knew how attractive they were.
"Well, hello," I said. "Did you change your mind about sex?"
"No," Stella answered. That confused me. She was lying there naked waiting for me. "I don't need sex myself. But I would feel better if you ejaculated, and that I was the reason for it. I want you to feel like you can count on me for all your needs."
It sounded like she had been taking advice from Riley. I wanted to tell her that I was fine, but I had spent the last hour and a half thinking about her. I needed to slide into bed. I wasn't going to do so completely dressed. When I dropped my shorts, her eyes went straight to my erection. It had beefed up since the moment I had walked in the door. There was no denying that it would like some attention.
Without saying another word Stella slid off the mattress and onto the floor on her knees. She then directed me to sit on the edge of the bed. I watched in the dim moonlight that made its way through the window as she went about her duty. There was not much passion there, but a lot of love. She wanted to take care of her husband, and in a way, that was as sexy as anything.
I tried to make out every detail of her bewitching schoolgirl face in the near darkness. She licked my tip first, then the shaft. Once lubed up she began stroking it as she stared into my eyes. Maintaining the eye contact she then dipped low and began licking my balls. Not like an undersexed maniac as she saw Camilla do. No, she was delicate and methodical.
We went nearly ten minutes like that before I felt my orgasm coming on. There was a sensuality about the experience that I had never encountered before. It was not my first blowjob by any means, but I wished that it was. I believed that every young man's first should be the way that Stella was giving it to me at that moment. It was clean and wholesome, not the least bit naughty. At least until I started breathing heavy.
Stella then tripled the speed of her stroking and added the second hand. Her tongue tickled the tip of my cock until it erupted uncontrollably. After the first squirt onto her hard-working lips, she directed the barrel toward her bare chest. I couldn't see it clearly, but I knew that my semen was splattering all over those precious young titties of hers.
I sat there gasping for breath as she pulled a towel off the bed. She had one already prepared. She knew in advance that she would be jerking me off tonight. I let her clean us both up then gladly accepted her into my arms. We whispered I love you as we fell asleep like a happy married couple.
CHAPTER FIVE:
We waited until everyone was awake and fed before we left the house. We could carry practically everything that we owned with us, should we decide not to return. Without a doubt, we could cover more ground if we separated. However, with yesterday's incident of the bull and the two men chasing after us, I believed that it would be best if we stayed together for a while still.
The next neighborhood over was really the same neighborhood. A person driving a car would just have to exit the residential area onto Columbia Pike to access the other. The school building that we were trying to avoid was the only thing that connected the two. But the narrow strip of woods, which was probably considered common ground when people actually owned these homes, wasn't more than thirty feet wide at some points. Prelude Drive was the southernmost street in our section. Two minutes after leaving the house we were standing in a backyard on the other side.
The home wasn't incredibly bigger than the one that we left, but the property had to be over an acre. That gave us much better visibility, but it also made us more visible to others. Fortunately, each home on the first street that we encountered appeared to have a partly wooded section at the end of their property.
A hiking path connected the new street to another path down by the river. If we searched to t
he right, we would be staying close to that water source. The river also could provide us with fish to eat. Going to the left would take us closer to the main road which we wanted to avoid.
I sent Bianka to check that first house and she gestured for Alexa to join her. I couldn't believe how close the two of them had become. The rest of us stayed hidden and watched for trouble. We were less than a hundred feet from the back door of the place should the blondes need help.
I watched them slip into the rear entrance cautiously and disappear. Glancing at my watch I made a mental note of the time. I'd give them three minutes tops to reappear. Otherwise, I would be coming after them.
I wasn’t sure what powered the watch, but I could tell it wasn’t keeping good time. It would read five in the evening when it was already dark outside. Of course, I didn’t even know the date anymore. Despite the constant heart wave, we might just be in the dead of winter when the days are the shortest.
I adjusted my stance in preparation to dart across the patchy lawn when Alexa finally stepped back outside. She gestured for us to wait. A minute later Bianka joined her and they returned to the tree cover where we were hiding.
"The front door was forced open, but it looks like it can be repaired," Alexa informed us. "The place is kind of trashed but there are not any dead bodies. The air inside is stagnant like most places, but it doesn't smell too bad. A nice open floor plan with a big kitchen island like I want. The carpet is in decent shape."
"Are you a realtor now?" Jada asked. Alexa gave her the stink eye as she paused.
Bianka took over to tell me what I really needed to know. "There is nothing to indicate solar power."
Hiding as we were on the northside we weren't able to see the roof where panels would be mounted facing southerly to reap the most sunlight. Though some homes that I spotted before would have them on the opposite side mounted on poles to face the sunlight.
Riley took detailed notes then we moved on to the next house over, going toward the river. We continued patiently in that manner, sending different people in each time. In comparison to the many other neighborhoods that we had gone through over the last few months, these houses were in good shape. And of above average size. The yards were big, too.
When we approached the sixth house, I allowed myself to have high hopes. It was long instead of wide, the short side of the building facing the street. The driveway was extensive and meandered through trees and bushes to nearly block the view of the home from the street. The backyard was sealed off with a six-foot-high privacy fence. The area inside that barrier had to be at least a half an acre.
It was my turn to go in with Stella. I managed to release the latch on the gate into the backyard by climbing up and reaching over. The lawn was as patchy as the rest of the neighborhood, but otherwise it looked very nice. Sculptured landscaping, lots of patio space and a nonfunctioning waterfall that would have flowed into a small pond when the power was still working.
The windows were smallish and scattered along the side of the house, but not so in the back. Both rooms with rear exposure could practically be described as sunrooms. Not a pane of glass was cracked or missing. A stone fireplace climbed the wall between the two rooms. There was no second floor. Based on the view of the building from the side I believed that it would have a full basement instead.
The backdoor was locked. It looked so nice that I didn't want to damage it to get inside. So, I left the fenced in area to let my friends know everything was okay. Then I proceeded up toward the garage which was a few feet below the ground level of the back. That door was locked, too. A security panel was installed on the garage door frame. That meant that it was connected to a motor that was no longer operational. It wasn't worth trying to force it open.
There was so much cover and concealment in the front yard that I felt comfortable checking the front door. It was really on the side of the house, a good thirty feet from the very front of the building. It was locked, too. The place looked like it had not been entered since the catastrophe that killed off most of mankind. That was rare to find and could be a virtual treasure chest of supplies.
In my excitement I called the others to join us. Jada and I worked on opening the heavy wooden front door while the others checked for windows. Everything looked untouched by the apocalypse. I was more than hesitant to break anything. In the end, I opted for busting into a bathroom window. Then Bianka climbed in and unlocked the back door.
A beautiful kitchen and dining room received lots of natural light from the huge windows in the back. So did the living room beside it. The place smelled of rotten food, but that was mild compared to some of the odors that we often encountered. There were some dirty dishes in the sink that had drawn more than their share of insects. The refrigerator door was closed, and I discouraged anyone from opening it just yet. I knew from experience what we would likely find inside.
There were four bedrooms on the main level, and two bathrooms. The master suite was at the very front of the house. Luckily, we found no corpses anywhere. This family either all died in a hospital or left to visit relatives in their last days. There was also no evidence of scavengers, human or animal.
The lower level had a bathroom, a study, and a family room with a huge television mounted on the wall. Beyond that, at the front of the house but below the ground level with no windows, was a game room. A nice billiards table, dart board and a small bar still stocked with plenty of liquor.
"I like this place," I told the girls.
"I bet you do," Alexa responded.
Jada walked up to the pool table and ran one finger down the felt on the rail. "I remember the first time that we shot pool," she said with a sly smile. She was referring to that night in our first house when we got drunk while partying. That was the first night that I had sex with Jada. It wasn't long after that when Riley joined Alexa and me for a threesome. The billiards table certainly brought back some fond memories.
"Mason!" Bianka spoke loudly to get my attention. I turned to see her excited, not alarmed. "I see an inverter in the utility room."
I ran through the basement in my excitement. Sure enough, an inverter designed to convert solar energy into electricity. We had hit the jackpot once again.
"I think we are home," Riley announced.
"Let's not get too excited yet," I told them. Actually, I needed those instructions more than anyone. "We still need to case the place to make sure there is no one living nearby."
"I don't sense anyone," Alexa informed us. I could see a smile creeping across her face. She wanted this place to work for us as much as I did.
"We need to block the window we busted and make sure the backyard is reasonably secure." I was making a mental checklist, then I saw Riley taking notes like she always did.
"I saw a small garden out there," Stella said, unable to control her enthusiasm as well as we headed for the steps. "I'm betting the soil is good enough grow food."
"We're going to need to clean this kitchen right away," Alexa said with her hand on the handle of the refrigerator when we returned to the main level.
"Wait!" I raised my voice. "I just said let's not get too excited! I'm anxious to make this place our new home, too. But we have to be cautious. Let me, Jada and Bianka search the outside and watch for activity while the rest of you assess the supplies that are usable from inside here. Give us an hour or so before we do any real work. Okay?"
There were no trees or sizable vegetation between this house and the next one to the south. We would have to block all windows on that side should we be able to get the power working. However, that gap allowed plenty of sunshine to beam down on the solar panels for the majority of the day.
We checked the next house to find it ransacked and dirty. Animals had been accessing most of the rooms. And we found the corpses of two women in the kitchen. Based on all the clues available I would assume that they were skanks seeking shelter until their bodies gave out. That home was much more visible from the street. Its current
condition made it very unattractive to most people. The home that we had chosen almost looked like a garage or mother-in-law apartment behind it because of its position and angle. Perhaps that is why it had never been broken into before.
"I don't see any reason not to claim this place," I finally told the girls when we gathered again in the kitchen. Two cases of water had been placed on the large kitchen island with the plastic wrapper still intact. Cupboard doors were opened to reveal plenty of canned and boxed food. Some of it would be inedible, but most of it could be consumed. All the furniture was in good shape. Hell, even the beds were made nicely with colorful comforters.
"I get the master bedroom!" Jada announced like we were kids calling our seats for a long family drive.
"No fucking way," Alexa replied immediately. "You are not even a wife of Mason."
Jada shrugged and answered, "We can have the ceremony in the morning."
"What?" I asked in my confusion. Surely, she was joking.
