“Yeah,” I said, then looked at Alex. “Is that OK, boss?” He shot me an angry look.

  Chapter 55

  Moonlight Magic

“SURE,” ALEX said, then giggled, unable to keep his fake angry face.

The three of us got out of the pool, and walked to the lounger. I jumped on it and lay full length in the center, with my cock standing straight up at attention. Alex sat to my left and Rory to my right. The night was warm and felt just right for being naked. There was a kind of good magic in the air—moonlight magic. Rory leaned over and pointed my cock all the way down, then let it bob back up and chuckled.

“Impressive, isn’t it,” Alex said, then put his hand flat on my chest. “I could never get a body like Layton or your brother, Rory. They’re just so meaty and hard, just feel Layton’s chest.” He grabbed Rory’s hand and put it on my chest then ran it down to my abs.

“Damn!” Rory said. “His abs are as hard as his dick. I’m in good shape I think, but nothing compared to the two of them.”

Alex and I felt Rory’s stomach.

“You are in good shape,” I said. “You’re built different but you’re not flabby, especially not here.” I grabbed hold of his cock. “Wow, it gets even longer when hard, Alex.

“Let me see,” Alex said, then moved next to Rory. “Lay down next to, Layton, so I can compare the two of you.”

“He is bossy,” Rory, said to me, then lay down by my side.

Alex had both our cocks in his hands and really was comparing them. He gave them each a couple yanks then looked at them again.

“He’s really comparing our dicks,” Rory said. “Linus is gonna love you two, he does this sort of thing all the time in the name of research.”

“Layton, Rory beats you in terms of length, but you’re definitely thicker.”

“Well we know who’s the handsomest in the group, don’t we, Rory?” I said.

“Yes, we do,” Rory said. We both looked at Alex who smiled.

“Come lie down next to us,” I said, and Alex did so. His cock was hard and I held it in my hands. “Isn’t that perfection, Rory?”

“You’ll get no argument from me,” Rory said.

We all stretched out comfortably and at peace.

“This is so nice,” Alex said.

  “Y’up,” I said.

“I think you two are perfect for the court,” Rory said.

“Why do you say that,” Alex said.

“Because the court needs a strong couple at its center and you two are definitely that. Your love just spills out from both of you. The court is a healing place and draws people in. The general and his wife did a good job in this place. They had love in their hearts for people that I think came from the love they had for each other.”

“That’s a nice thing to say,” I said. “Rory, I’ve heard a little about your all male retreats and I know you do massages and such—”

“You’re wondering if I’m some sort of escort too, huh?” Rory said.

“No,” I said. “I don’t get that at all from you. I do have a question, but I’m not sure what it is.”

Rory pulled my cock down with his finger and let it bob up and down, then smiled.

“I’m not an escort,” Rory said. “I do give nude massages in the nude and if I feel a client is in need of a happy ending I’ll give him a handjob. It’s all deeply intuitive. Don’t get me wrong, I do have training and am certified in massage. But the real healing is intuitive.”

  “That makes sense,” Alex said.

“I get that too,” I said. “But there’s more, isn’t there?” I wrapped my hand around Alex’s cock, but looked at Rory for a response to my question. Rory ran his hand softly down the center of my chest and played with my pubic hair. Everything that was happening felt strangely innocent, and not in a bad way.

“When I went to the all male retreat with Linus and Forrest, our teacher told us that people were born with different gifts deep inside them. I thought he was just talking new age mumbo jumbo, but then what he said made sense when I thought about my life.”

“How so?” Alex said, turning on his side to face Rory.

“Our instructor told me that I was a sort of natural sexual intimate in a way he’d never seen. I didn’t understand all the stuff he was talking about when he mentioned Tantra, but some stuff I did get. He said the way my body responded was a lot like how people would train for years to achieve.”

  “Really?” Alex said. “Fascinating.”

“Tell us more,” I said, intrigued.

“Sex can be used in a healing way as well as a fun way,” Rory said. “It has to do with the way our bodies breathe, touch, and interact. I guess a sexual intimate is really good at doing that while making sure people feel safe and secure. There have been times during a massage session when I just stop and hold a person. Some even cry like they’re finally dealing with things dep inside of them. But I don’t think that’s really the same thing as a sexual intimate. Hell, what do I know?”

“And do you think the teacher was legit in what he said?” I said.

“I could see his point,” Rory said. “What do you guys think?” He cupped my balls and played with them. “Damn, your balls are heavy, Layton.”

“I think what your teacher said does make sense,” Alex said. “There is something very safe and warm about being around you. I’d normally be nervous in this type of situation, but I feel relaxed and happy.”

  “There you go,” I said.

“Why wouldn’t you feel relaxed, Alex?” Rory said, moving his hand away from my balls and up around my waist.

“Well, this has happened before—on Layton’s last mission. With a guy named Buck, and I didn’t like how he was so into Layton.”

  “Why not?” Rory said.

“It made me feel insecure, I guess,” Alex said.

“So insecure that he grabbed the guy and they both gave me a blow job,” I said.

“That was so we wouldn’t ‘blow’ our cover,” Alex said.

“I hated every minute of it,” I said. “Even when I blew a huge load all over their pretty faces.” I grinned extra wide.

Alex laughed and slapped my stomach. “Why does it just seem stupid now?” He said.

“Because you know I love you,” I said.

“No insecurity,” Rory said, then leaned across me and kissed Alex. He lay back again and spoke some more. “My brother is better at all of this stuff than me. He’s so intuitive and good with people except for where his love life is concerned. And he gives an amazing massage… the man is truly gifted.”

“Stop it,” I said. “You’re pretty special yourself, dumb ass.” I kissed him softly on the lips. Are we really this fucked up that we’re resorting to all this mush?”

“I think we’re beginning to run on empty,” Alex said. “Going nonstop since the day we met, working on crazy cases… running from lunatics and ghosts.”

“Don’t forget blue lights and zombies,” Rory said.

“Oh how could we forget them,” I said, then pulled Alex and Rory on top of me and kissed them both at the same time.

The three of us made out for a while, then Rory slid down our bodies. He slowly put both my cock and Alex’s into his mouth and sucked on them for several minutes before moving his way back up to our heads.

“It’s only fair, since you two got to taste mine,” Rory said, then grinned.

We kissed some more and when we got tired we ended our session by seeing who could jack off and cum the fastest. It was silly, but fun—and exactly what we needed. I fell asleep with my arms around Alex and Rory, but when I woke up only Alex was still there. I kissed him and when he opened his eyes I told him good morning.

  “Where’s Rory?”

“I don’t know,” I said. “I’m pretty sure he slept out here with us all night.”

“Last night really happened, didn’t it?”

“Yeah,” I said. “Does that bother you?”

  “I so
rt of instigated it, didn’t I?”

“Yes again,” I said. “But you had fun, admit it. We had fun together.”

Alex smiled then nodded. “It seems like it should’ve felt dirty… but it didn’t. Almost like we were just kids horsing around and—”

“And that was exactly what we needed,” I said. “I’m also pretty sure it was what Rory needed too for a couple of reasons.”

  “How do we act now?”

“Like normal,” I said. “We like Rory as a friend, we don’t have to be all weird about things.”

Rory exited the pool house with a tray in his hands. He sat down next to me, gave Alex and me a soft friendly kiss on the lips, and put the tray down in front of us. I looked at Alex and winked. My wink was noticed by Rory and he slapped Alex’s knee, then spoke.

“You OK this morning, Alex. That was just a friendly kiss between friends, you know—nothing more.”

“I know,” Alex said. “That’s what struck me—just how normal it was. No weird feelings, or angst, or anything.”

“Good,” Rory said. “Because I like having you two as friends. Now, check out what I brought for breakfast.”

I inhaled the aroma of bacon and eggs—it smelled delicious.

  “Thanks,” Alex said.

“No problem,”Rory said. “Your clothes are all dry.”

“Are you trying to rush us out of here?” I said, then smiled. “Got a hot date or something.”

“No plans for today,” Rory said.

‘Do you mind if we hang out here a while?” I said. “I’d like to get a swim in and just chill some.”

“Dude,” Rory said. “This is your estate, your pool—”

“And my pool boy,” I said, then leaned in as if to kiss him, but blew him a raspberry instead. We all laughed. “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this happy and free anywhere in my life like I do here.”

“That’s because this your true home,” Alex said. “Despite the ghosts and all.”

“Speaking of ghosts,” I said. “I wonder if they’re all gone.”

  Chapter 56

  Come Out, Come Out

“I SHOULD THINK all the ghosts are gone,” Rory said. “You figured out what the deal was with the twins, Veronica, and all of them. So they don’t have any reason to hang around anymore.”

“And you solved the mystery with Mrs. Carson’s brother and Frederick, Layton,” Alex said.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right, Alex” I said. But something didn’t feel finished regarding Richard and Frederick, not to me.

When we finished eating, Alex excused himself to use the bathroom. I took advantage of the moment to speak to Rory alone.

“What’s bugging you, boss?” Rory said.

“Am I that obvious?” I said.

“No, but I wasn’t convinced when you told Alex you thought the Richard and Frederick case was solved.”

“I’m sure the ghost of Frederick’s father has left,” I said. “But, did we really solve that entire case?”

“From what I heard from you and Forrest, it was pretty clear that the boys killed Frederick’s father in self-defense,” Rory said.

“Yeah. But because of what Nathan told me at his place, I think there’s something left unfinished. Nathan said I’d have to do or say ‘something’ when the time comes and it would involve Frederick and Richard.”

“Why didn’t you say this to Alex?”

“Because whatever happens needs to do so in a natural way. I don’t want Alex worrying or dwelling on it because it could affect the outcome.”

“I hear you, boss. What you say makes sense. You and I will have to team up and keep an eye on Alex and Forrest.”

  “Yeah, I said.

ALEX AND I swam in the pool, used the hot tub, and visited with Rory for a few hours, then dressed and returned to the main house. When we got there, Mrs. Carson was sitting in the formal living room with Miss Maribelle and Forrest, who was in uniform.

“Hi, everybody,” I said, as I walked into the living room.

“I just came by to catch everyone up on things from my end,” Forrest said. “Things are falling into place pretty quickly at the station. When we’ve officially finished checking everything, Mrs. Carson, Miss Maribelle, and Mrs. Benton have agreed to give an interview and do a news conference to announce our findings. At least locally, what’s been unearthed here is a pretty big deal.”

“It will put an end to things properly,” Mrs. Carson said.

“I won’t have to be involved in interviews or the like, I hope,” I said.

Alex put his arm around my waist, then spoke. “It wouldn’t do for a detective to get that much public exposure.”

“That’s what we figured,” Miss Maribelle said. “We just wanted to make sure Javina’s story got out and that the dead can finally rest in peace.”

“Sounds good to me,” I said.

“Oh, and Maribelle and I are making dinner tonight at the guesthouse for everyone at the court,” Mrs. Carson said. “And Forrest, you’re expected as well. Someone will plan a more formal welcome party for you and Alex, later, Layton. At present, several people are vying for the honor of doing so.”

ALEX AND I said good-bye, then walked to the guesthouse to check on Shannon and Elise. While there we were asked to take Lucky for a walk, which we happily agreed to. The three of us walked contentedly around the grounds just enjoying each other’s company.

“We’ve made a new family here, Alex,” I said. “And it feels right and good… and nice.”

“It does to me too, Layton. So ‘right’ it almost worries me.”

Everything around the estate seemed fine and we were able to relax and play a while with Lucky. I spent the rest of the day checking e-mails and doing maintenance on my laptop and Alex helped Mrs. Carson gather up the things she wanted to take to the guesthouse from her office upstairs. Time seemed to fly by and soon Alex and I were on our way to the guesthouse for dinner. We were almost there, when I realized I’d forgotten to bring a bottle or two of wine and I mentioned that fact to Alex.

“Should we go back to the main house and get the wine, or say hello to everyone first?” I said.

“Let’s keep going to the guesthouse, we’ll walk in and say hello, then I’ll go back home and get the wine,” Alex said.

“OK,” I said. “‘Home’… it sounded good to hear you call the court that.”

When we arrived at the guesthouse I rang the doorbell. Elise opened the door, dressed in a pretty pink top and shorts. She greeted Alex and I with hugs, then showed us in. Mrs. Carson was sitting in a chair holding a photo album and Rory and Shannon were standing next to her looking at the photos. I could see Miss Maribelle busy working in the kitchen. Alex went to take a look at the photo album and when he peered down at the photos I thought his eyes changed color, but I couldn’t be sure. The next time I noticed them change, Rory caught my eye and gave me a concerned look. It was obvious he’d seen Alex’s eyes change color, too.

“I was thinking of my brother and I decided to pull out these old photo albums,” Mrs. Carson said. “Richard was so handsome.” Tears rolled down from her eyes and she wiped them away. “I can’t believe I’m being so emotional and sentimental, but I loved my big brother so much. He was happy with Frederick, that’s all that mattered.”

Alex was staring intently on the pictures Mrs. Carson was showing and his eyes were changing color more frequently.

“Forrest should be here any minute,” Rory said.

This time when Alex’s eye color changed, Shannon noticed and looked at me nervously. I shook my head discreetly and hoped she’d get the hint not to say anything—she did.

“Layton,” Alex said. “I forgot, I need to go back and get the wine.” He looked lost for a moment, then continued speaking—but with a different and familiar voice, that of Richard Carson. “I’ve got to go back.”

“OK,” I said. “It’s OK, but be back soon, Alex.”

  Alex smiled,
shook his head, then left. After about a minute, I turned to Rory.

“I need to get something back at the pool house,” Rory said. “Will you give me a hand please, Layton?”

  “Sure, buddy,” I said.

“I think I’ll join you so I can stretch my legs,” Shannon, who was wearing a sleeveless sun dress said.

We left the guesthouse and walked until we got to the first bench.

“That was Richard Carson speaking through Alex,” Shannon said. “Do you think Mrs. Carson noticed?”

“Yes, it was Richard,” I said. “He and Frederick aren’t through here yet.”

“Mrs. Carson was too emotional to notice Alex,” Rory said. “Speaking of Alex—shouldn’t we go look for him?”

“Not yet,” I said. “We need to be sure Frederick is here too. He’s been using Forrest to speak and act through, so we need Forrest to show up.”

“I can run ahead and see if bro’s car is in the driveway,” Rory said.

“Do it, but make sure they don’t see you,” I said.

Rory nodded, then ran toward the main house and out of our view.

“What do you think is going to happen, Layton?” Shannon said.

“I think we’ve got another ghostly show to watch… starring Richard and Frederick.”

“In the bodies of Alex and Forrest,” Shannon said. “What if Frederick’s father makes an appearance?”

“I’m pretty sure he’s gone,” I said. “But keep an eye on me just to be sure.”

“Alright,” Shannon said. “Layton, I think this show will take place near the hanging tree.”

Rory appeared at the end of the path and motioned for us to follow him. We did so and ended up behind some bushes and trees next to the hanging tree.

“I don’t see Alex and Forrest,” I said.

“Come out, come out wherever you are,” Rory said in a whisper, as he looked around. I could hear the sound of movement in the bushes and trees a few feet in font of us, so I walked forward and peeked behind the bushes. There, in a hidden clearing, were Forrest and Alex naked in each other’s arms and kissing.
