Only in Dreams (Road Trip Romance Book 9)

Putting my hand to the doorknob, I turned it and pushed the door open.
“Dad,” I called as I flipped on the light.
“Shit, fuck, Demi,” he replied.
His response hadn’t been startled because I woke him from a deep sleep. It came because I’d just caught him with his pants down. Or technically, they were off. He was standing at the side of the bed he shared with my mother, and a woman who was not my mother was naked on her back, her torso propped up on her elbows, and her legs wrapped around my dad.
Well, they had been wrapped around him. The second I walked in, my father had stepped back from her and unfortunately, he turned toward me.
I couldn’t respond.
That was mostly because the moment I opened my mouth, which was several seconds after I took in the scene before me, I vomited all over the floor.
As soon as I could, I turned and ran back down the hall to the bathroom. I locked myself inside, laid down on the floor, and burst into tears.
I didn’t open the door again until the next morning when my mom got home.
Suffice it to say that we didn’t go shopping or to the movies that weekend.

About the Author
A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!
When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.
