Dragonfly Refrain Page 35

by Aimee Moore

I smiled at my warrior, brushing a kiss against his lips. “And why not now?”

“The world can wait,” he said with a growl.

I gave a light laugh between us, sliding my leg over him as we moved to position me on top. “Then it will wait for us, Dal.”

  Acknowledgments

Thank you to my husband, first and foremost, because he believed in me.

There were days when I would shut myself in my room, ignoring the family who loved and missed me just so I could hammer out another paragraph. Ignoring the dog hair tumbleweeds that blew across the carpet, as the home that I’d always kept so tidy balked at my negligence. And still, through missed family functions and leftover dinners, he believed in me. Thank you, babe. No one else could put up with me like this.

  Only ever you.

Biggest thanks to my readers and critique partners. Rebecca M., L.A. Stinnett, Kim H., Avinash A., Jen G., Angel Lanphere, and the amazing Hollee M. Your time and insight were the most valuable gift to me, and my work would not be what it is without your words of wisdom. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

And finally, thank you to you, the reader. You’ve become a part of my world, and without your support, I may have written Sera and Dal off as nothing more than a fleeting dream.

  About the Author

Aimee Moore has been getting lost in her fantasy worlds for the last ten years. She thoroughly believes that a good cup of coffee gives one super powers, the family dog doesn't get paid enough, red wine and French fries are the ticket to parental sanity, and there is no better way to spend a rainy day than sitting by the fire with a swoon-worthy book and more coffee.
