Nobody Can Love You Like Them Roughnecks Do 4 Page 12

“He’s welcomed a baby, but he was supposed to welcome ones with two other women, yet they somehow disappeared. Judge Kennedy, Mr. Khalil is dangerous to everyone around him. He couldn’t even deliver a clean fight against Mason without murdering him.”

“That was not murder,” my lawyer interjected, and the judge nodded to agree.

“A death in the ring is not considered murder, Mr. Cornell, and like I told Ms. Fortensky, save the extras for the trial.”

“Your Honor, my client has been in jail for over a month with no bail hearing, had glass put in his food, and was arrested with basically no evidence to support the charges. I think it’s best we give him a bail amount, a fair one, and hope he doesn’t want to sue for all that has been done to him once he’s cleared of these ridiculous charges.” Olive kept strong eye contact with the judge.

He leaned back in his chair, looking over both lawyers before saying, “Bail is granted at two hundred thousand dollars.” He banged the gavel before Jorge could speak up, making my lawyer damn near squeal.

“Thank God,” I mumbled. Olive was pretty good at all this shit.

I kept my cool as the guards walked me past my family. I told Blaise not to bring the kids because it wasn’t the best environment.

“Cortez.” Blaise called my name, smiling. She was pretty as ever, wearing a green dress that went well with her brown skin. Shit, every color she wore looked good with her complexion. “I can wait outside, baby.”

“Nah, I can’t leave for a few hours. Go home.”

“No.” She shook her head as she started to tear up.

“Baby, it’s just a few hours. You gon’ see me tonight.” I kissed her for a couple seconds before the security started to walk me out.

“I’m going to pay the bail right now!” Carson let me know as I nodded my head up to him, Will, Manny, Cole, and Siggy. Of course, Ozzy was missing.

“Belly! Belly!” What seemed like millions of females stood outside of the courthouse calling my name. Shit was crazy that they showed up here like this. I knew either Cole or Siggy posted about today, so them hoes made an appearance.

“I guess you wouldn’t need to rape anybody with that type of attention.” One of the guards smirked, shaking his head at the crowd of females outside the doors, holding signs, screaming my name, and blowing kisses.

“Niggas with attention still be out here violating females, but I didn’t,” I countered, making him shrug as he and a colleague continued to escort me out the back of the building.

I passed Nigel on the way; no idea why he was here, but I gave him a wink. He was a dead man for sure.

And now that I was getting up out of this muthafucka, Ozzy was really gon’ come up missing. But before all that, the nigga would have to get me off for his bullshit.

  Blaise

“Sweetheart, why don’t you go out and get some fresh air.” My mama entered my bedroom. She randomly decided to come over to spend time with Island and Cortez.

“No, I’m not in the mood.” I turned over in the bed to face my baby and make sure he was okay. “Where is Island?”

“I just put her down for a nap. Get up, Blaise, and go get some tea from that cafe you like or something.” She took the covers off of me.

  “Mama, no.”

I wasn’t in the mood to do anything today, so after I’d brushed my teeth and took a bath, I’d gotten right back into the bed.

Last night, Belly called me and said he had to stay in jail overnight because something was wrong with the processing of the bail. I felt sick to my stomach and just too depressed to do anything. Thankfully I had the day off, because I didn’t feel like doing anything until I got my man back here.

“Up.” My mother stood over me.

She was annoying as hell, and I saw she wasn’t going to leave me be. I thought about fighting her, but I got my hands from my mama and wasn’t prepared to brawl with someone of equal skill and stamina as myself.

I kissed my baby’s cheek then got up to go change into a simple dress. After sliding my feet into my Chanel mules, I slipped on my Cartier bracelets then snapped my Rolex around my wrist. Once I had my earrings on and some perfume, I let my hair down so I could leave.

“I’m only going to be gone for a second.” I snatched up my Chanel purse and remote to my Maserati. I hadn’t driven it much because I usually had my kids in tow, but since I didn’t right now, I was kind of excited.

Leaving the house, I went right to my car, sliding in and admiring the interior. I wasn’t used to sedans, but this one was nice. It smelled and looked expensive.

When I posted it on Instagram a while back, people were commenting that they knew Belly paid for it as if I gave a fuck. You’re damn right he did, and I wasn’t trying to hide it.

I left the big roundabout driveway and started toward Alfred’s cafe in Beverly Hills. I loved that place, both Priscilla and me. I thought about calling her to meet me, but I honestly wasn’t feeling any company that wasn’t Island, Baby Cortez, or Belly at the moment. Thankfully I found a park because I didn’t want valet pushing this one.

After placing my order, I stood off to the side to wait but was prompted to sign a few autographs and take pictures with these girls.

“Thanks so much, Blaise! And you are so pretty in person!” The main girl who’d prompted me for a photo cheesed.

“You’re welcome, and thank you.” I grabbed my iced tea latte from the bar and headed outside to sit down.

“Is that pretty Blaise?” A male voice came from behind me, so I turned to see who it was. When I spotted my ex-boyfriend VIP, I gave him a soft smile.

“Hi, Cory. What are you doing over here?”

“Was out here handling some shopping.” He kept a grin on his cute face. “You look amazing as always.”

“Thank you. You look great too.”

“Didn’t you just have a baby?”

“You know I did. Don’t play dumb.” I rolled my eyes playfully as he laughed, coming around the gate to sit across from me.

  “Why you keep looking around?”

“I don’t want any pictures being taken of me.”

“I don’t see any paparazzi, so you’re good, baby.” He eyed me slowly.

“Yeah, well there have been plenty of occasions where I didn’t see any either, but pictures popped up of me on the Internet.”

“That’s very true.” He looked around again, setting the bag from Celine down onto the table. “I think we’re fine though.” He watched me for a little bit.

“What? Stop doing that.” I laughed, making him join me.

Wiping down his face, he replied, “Nothing, man. I’m just mad at myself for not locking you down. That nigga Belly had the right idea.”

“I think you’re pretty okay with not having locked me down.” I nodded toward the Celine shopping bag.

“Oh nah. This is a gift for my mother.”

  “Sure.”

“It’s true. But damn, when you broke up with my ass, I tried to play like I ain’t care. That shit always bothered me though. I missed you. But me being me, my pride wouldn’t allow me to chase you. Especially because you kept our relationship so low-key, most don’t even know we dated.” He cocked his head then asked, “Why did you stop fucking with me?”

  “I told you, didn’t I?”

“Nah. You called me like, I’m not feeling you anymore and some other shit. I just said okay, then you hung up.”

We both began laughing because it was coming back to me.

“Honestly, I just was over the relationship. I was bored. At that time, I was wanting to meet someone better than Jelani, and you weren’t it.”

“Damn! Blaise with the head shot.”

I chuckled then said, “I’m sorry, but you asked.”

  “So Belly is it, huh?”

“Yes.” I felt myself smiling as I stared down at my tea. “He’s just… I can’t explain it.” I shrugged, still cheesing, which made VIP laugh.

  “Aight
then. Well since I see there is no room for me to wife you still…” He paused to allow me the chance to correct him if he was wrong.

“No chance at all.” I showed him my ring, even though I was sure he saw my proposal along with the rest of the world. Plus, this rock was hard to miss.

People who hadn’t seen my TV show and didn’t know me, recognized me as the woman Cortez Khalil proposed to in front of the whole damn world. If bitches didn’t know who his girl was by then, they surely knew now. He officially deaded the harem to the public that night.

“Then I should go.” VIP got up. “But if you ever change your mind, feeling lonely, any of that shit, let me know.”

  “I won’t, but thank you.” I smirked.

“Fine ass.” He shook his head as he walked off, prompting me to chuckle as I sat back to finish my drink.

Just as I stood up to toss my cup, I noticed a familiar face walking to her car. She was holding a bag from Bottega Veneta, pushing her shades onto her face. I quickly walked around the dividing gate, and hurried across the street.

“Good morning.” I spoke to Tiana from behind.

“What do you want?” She turned to look at me suspiciously, removing her shades.

“What I want is for you to stop being a hateful bitch and tell the truth. You know he did not rape you. What the fuck is wrong with you?”

She chuckled softly and shook her head.

“You can believe whatever you want, but the fact is that your man broke into my house and took something from me.”

“Let’s be honest here, Tiana. You offered to fuck my man and he turned you down. If he wanted it so badly, why didn’t he just take you home that night and fuck you?”

She glared into my eyes, hers bouncing around as if she were trying to think.

  “I didn’t try to—”

“Oh save it, bitch! I already know you threw your box at him and gave him your address!”

“How do you know that? The authorities are not supposed to be giving you that information.”

“His friends told me! They were there!” I lied. “The bottom line is your accusations make no damn sense. Why would a man that you were willingly about to fuck, say no then turn around and rape you, dummy? I’m pretty sure that if Cortez showed up, knocked, and whipped his dick out, you would have been happy to take it.”

Her chest heaved up and down rapidly, so I knew I was getting to her with my logic.

“You’re just so sure your precious man would never cheat on you, huh?” She giggled. “Even though you started as one of many. You can’t be that special.”

“I was special enough for your man to send me expensive jewelry while he had you at home.”

“Look, my husband lost his life, so I really do not care to discuss the irrelevant bad times. I want to remember him during our happiness.”

“Tiana, you were not raped. I don’t know what is wrong with you, but do not drag my man into this bullshit. He has a family, we need him, and it’s not fair for him to be taken away from us over lies.”

“As a woman, how dare you tell me I wasn’t raped. I was! Someone broke into my house and assaulted me! You think I want to be in the news for this while grieving over my husband? No, I don’t! But I will not let someone get away with what has been done to me! And my husband was taken from me because of yours, so I couldn’t care less about your man being away.”

“Someone! You keep saying someone! You truthfully don’t know who did this to you! I get that you were traumatized, and if you were assaulted, I sympathize with you, but it was not by Cortez, and you know it! As far as my man taking away yours, it was a fair fight that your husband lost. A loss he took after he tried to have Cortez killed, so honey, I do not care about you losing him.

If you really want justice, find out who really did this to you because if you keep playing with my family, I will ruin you, bitch.” I got closer to her face. “I will make you wish you were dead when I’m done with you.” I saw she had a bag of macaroons behind the Bottega bag, so I reached in to grab one, took a bite, and then walked off. I loved macaroons.

By the time she drove away and I got back to my car, paparazzi was snapping pictures of me. I was happy I didn’t have my son with me, because I knew that’s whose face they wanted to see, along with finding out his name.

The sun was starting to set, so I pulled off, heading home so I could relax with my kids and make them some food. I got to my house fairly quickly then went inside, going straight to my room to remove these shoes. When I did, I saw there were five cases of those roses that lasted a year, making me whip my head around to see if someone was in here.

“Hey, you’re back.” My mama peeked into the bedroom.

“Yes. Where did these roses come from?”

  “Who do you think?”

  “Cortez? He’s home?”

Shrugging, my mama replied, “I’m going to go make some food for the children. I’ll give Baby Cortez a bottle since you’ve pumped already.”

I watched her leave the room then went to inspect my beautiful red roses. After a couple minutes, I went to put my shoes in my closet and saw a short white fringe dress with a white card that read For tonight.

“Can you be ready in an hour and a half?” I heard Belly’s voice, so I turned to see him standing there in gray sweats, sneakers, and a wife beater. He was so fine.

“Baby.” I rubbed down my body. I wasn’t prepared to see him right now. I wanted to be positive that I looked good, and right now, I wasn’t sure at all. I still had ten pounds to lose.

“Come here.” He started into my closet, and I backed away, grabbing one of my trench coats to put on. “What you doing?” He laughed, hemming me up against the side wall and removing my coat.

“Let me fix myself,” I responded lowly as he pushed my dress upward. “I’m not comfortable.” When I met Belly, I was in great shape, so I wasn’t used to him not seeing me in that way. Only other time was when I was pregnant, but I had an excuse.

“Why?” He lifted me, moving my panties to the side after releasing his dick from his sweats.

“I need to lose weight… ah,” I cooed when he forced his way inside of me, holding my body up with ease against the wall.

“You look perfect.” He spoke in-between kisses as he glided in and out of me slowly. I hadn’t had dick in a while, so there was pain mixed with the pleasure. “You feel perfect too.”

Belly gripped my ass tightly, digging deeper inside of me before he began beating it up. I came in no time, but he didn’t slow up, pounding me hard as he sucked my lips, my chin, my neck, and my collarbone. I was so wet I felt like I was leaking on my shoes nearby.

“Ahh, mmm.” I bit down hard on my lip before he snaked his tongue into my mouth. I loved when he fucked me hard while kissing me nastily.

“Damn, this pussy knows who it belongs to.” He looked down between my legs, stroking me slowly and smirking. Pulling out, he let me down, bent me over, then started fucking me hard from the back until we both climaxed.

After he pulled out, he fixed my underwear and dress then helped me stand to my feet. I tried to leave the closet, but he grabbed my hand, yanking me toward him as he put his dick away with his other.

  “What? I need to shower.”

He wrapped his arms around my body to pull me into him before kissing me slowly.

Grabbing a handful of my ass, he bit down on his lip then said, “You know you look good as fuck to me, right? I ain’t plan to fuck you just now, but I couldn’t help it seeing yo’ pretty ass face and then this body.” He began rubbing all over my ass while kissing my neck.

“Really?” He mumbled a ‘yes’ as he continued kissing on me. “You’re used to me looking a certain way, so I didn’t know.”

Grinning and showing off his perfect smile, he replied, “You look the same, Blaise. It looks like all the baby weight is gone, except for your lips, I can tell. They haven’t gone down all the way yet. You fine as shit, per usual.” He was stil
l holding me closely, and I was embarrassed because I couldn’t help but to blush.

  “Okay, good.”

“Can you be ready in an hour and a half?”

  “For what?”

“Just be ready, and come outside when you are. Ya mama is babysitting tonight.” He let me go after pecking me.

“Thank you for the roses, baby!” I called out to him as he walked from my closet.

“Thank you for the pussy,” he responded, making me roll my eyes at his vulgar ass before rushing to the bathroom for a bubble bath.

I relaxed for a bit, inhaling the scent of one of my candles, and then got out to spread some body butter on. It smelled so good, and I noticed Belly liked it, so I wanted to wear it for him. The scent was strong enough for me to skip putting on perfume.

I did my makeup, making sure it was perfect, put some waves in my fresh press, and then slipped into the Prada dress he bought me. It fit nicely and was a good length. I saw he got me some matching shoes, which I didn’t catch at first, so I slipped my feet into the white Balmain stilettos before giving myself a look over. My all-white Chanel bag went with the outfit, so I snatched that up, put on my jewelry and Patek watch, then left.

When I stepped out of the house, I spotted a deep black Rolls Royce Black Badge outside. Belly emerged from it in a navy-blue button up with some dark slacks on. He looked incredibly handsome, with his watch and bracelet almost blinding me as he opened the passenger door, waving me toward him. His mahogany complexion was so supple; plus, that build and height had me ready to make another baby.

“What is this?” I smiled as he helped me into the extremely expensive car.

“Taking my wife on a date.” He smirked, closing the door.

I waited until he came around to get in on the driver’s side, before I said, “A date for what?”

Chuckling, he replied, “Because I love you, and I like dating yo’ ass. Is that aight?” He sat back a little bit, looking as sexy as he smelled.
