Travis flung himself from Ginny’s back with a whoop that would have done a Comanche proud, and lifted Star up off the ground. He swung her round and round, put her down, and proceeded to kiss her until she couldn’t think straight. Sobbing, laughing, dizzy with relief and spinning, she clung to him.
She heard Rob’s voice from high on Denver’s back, teasing, “I’m envious of your welcome, Trav. But couldn’t you greet your wife in a more civilized manner?”
She began to laugh even harder.
Travis just grinned as he headed towards the house, an arm still wrapped about her waist. “Sorry Rob, but I guess I’ll always be an uncivilized Yankee.”
“My uncivilized Yankee,” she murmured as he leaned over to plant a kiss on the top of her head.
