“I know who her parents are Chase. Don’t worry about it, okay?”

Trevas reached for Alleys hand and kissed her knuckles as they turned on to the interstate. They drove until after three and stopped at a truck stop to get something to eat.

Trevas opened her door and held her hand.

“Trevas, someone is going to see us,” Alley exclaimed nervously.

“Nobody is looking for anything suspicious here Alley. These people have no idea who you are. Trust me,” he pleaded and liked her being on his right side holding his hand.

Alley let out a short laugh but refrained from making the comment about trusting him that she wanted too, and instead pressed her lips together and twisted them to the side without Trevas noticing.

Trevas was right. Not one of the burley truckers, travelers, or the waitress knew her from anyone else. It was so refreshing to dine in a restaurant if that is what you would call the small dive. Alley was sure she had never eaten in this low of an establishment, ever in her life.

They had a good time together as they traveled and laughed and talked for hours and it made the trip go by rather quickly.

Trevas called his mom and told her that he would be there around nine to get the keys to the cabin, but he wasn’t going to visit, and would come over the next day. He didn’t explain anything to her and told her they would talk about it tomorrow.

His mother was waiting at the door when he got there, and Alley waited in the car and watched as his mother gave him a big hug.

“Who are you taking there Trevas? I thought you told me, you had a six week or so job, taking care of someone’s famous daughter,” she wanted to know.

“I am mom, she is with me,” he nodded toward his car and Alley knew that he was trying to explain her.

“I’m confused Trevas, This girl is a teenager, right?”

“Yes mom, don’t ask questions, alright?”

“Trevas what the hell are you doing?”

Trevas kissed her on the cheek and told her he would talk to her tomorrow with a look that said mind your own business.

It was almost dark when they arrived and drove down the long dirt road to the middle of nowhere. Alley looked around anxiously and could see the lake straight out in front of the cabin. She got out and looked around while Trevas carried in their bags.

“Do you know what I forgot about?” he called to her as she stepped up onto the dock and jumped a little to make sure it was safe, and she wasn’t going to end up fish bait.

“What?” she called without turning around as she continued to walk cautiously out on the dock.

“Food, there is nothing to eat or drink here. We have to run back to town.”

“I don’t mind,” she called, and he walked toward her to join her.

“It’s nice, isn’t it?” he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing the back of her neck.

  “Very,” she agreed.

“Do you want to go see the cabin or run back to town first?”

“Let’s go to town first I’m kind of hungry.”

“Yeah, another two or three hours and it will be your supper time,” he teased, and she told him to shut up.

Alley didn’t know how to act or what to think, being able to walk around in the store without anyone tweeting where she was or worried who would see her and she didn’t know how to relax and not worry about it. She kept expecting some idiot with a camera to pop out of nowhere, but they didn’t.

Trevas bought a whole cart full of food, beer, pop, snacks and charcoal for the grill.

Alley carried one bag and explored the cabin while he got the rest. It was a rustic cabin, and there was nothing elegant about it. The one queen sized bed was up against the wall with a night stand on each side. The sofa was supposed to separate the sleeping area from the living area and faced the front door. There was one overstuffed chair, and an older television set on a stand that was full of old VHS movies. The kitchen was small too, and the only table was a cherry red restaurant booth. The bathroom wasn’t even really separate, and had a concrete slab poured in a square with a ledge that you had to step over, and the door was nothing but a white shower curtain. She moved the curtain to peek in and saw the light bulb hanging from the ceiling with a silver chain to turn it on.

“I have to pee, in the shower?” she asked Trevas, looking at the toilet and sink to the left of the shower. The only hint that it was the shower was the silver showerhead sticking out of the wall and the slightly slanted floor with a drain in the corner.

“Yup, I guess you could say that. What do you want to eat?”

“I don’t care,” she answered, with more of an attitude then she meant to expose.

“You stop that. I didn’t ask you if you cared. I ask you what you wanted.”

Alley came to meet him in the small kitchen. “I didn’t mean it that way. I’m serious. I don’t care what you make because everything you make is always delicious.”

Trevas took out a cutting board and a sirloin steak and started cutting into strips and Alley watched.

“I want to help you,” she suggested.

“Okay,” he said handing her a knife. “You can peel the potatoes if you promise not to cut yourself.”

Alley took the knife, and he slid her four potatoes, and she picked one up and eyed it strangely. “I don’t know what to do now,” she laughed.

Trevas took the knife and the potato from her. “I will cook. You can get your shower if you want.”

“That is probably a better idea,” she agreed and went to the shower with her towel and clothes in hand.

Trevas knew right away that it was a bad idea when she pulled the string, and her shadow was revealed. He couldn’t keep his eyes off the beautiful silhouette behind the white curtain as he watched her undress.

“Trevas, something is happening,” she called.

“Something like what Alley,” he asked amused.

“I don’t know. The water won’t turn on.”

Trevas opened the curtain and his eyes automatically scanned her naked body from the chest down.

“That is not what is happening,” she teased in a soft tone bringing him out of his trance. He shook his head like that would really help and turned the knob.

“It has to be right on this line,” he explained, “and then you can adjust the temperature.”

“You can go now,” she had to say when he stood there staring at her.

Trevas continued to watch her shadow through the curtain, and thought he might explode when she put her head back and revealed her perfect small breast. He chopped the vegetables quickly, got his creation in the oven and went to the front porch with a beer.

Alley came out and joined him shortly after in her normal short shorts and a red tank-top that of course showed her midsection and her bare shoulders. She sat on the top step beside him and scooted close to him, and he raised his arm for her. “Couldn’t handle the show?” she asked with an amused grin.

“You’re evil. Why is it that when your dad was home you wore clothes, but you can’t seem to manage that when It’s just us?” he asked and kissed her wet hair.

“Don’t ask rhetorical questions,” she replied.

“Why is that a rhetorical question?”

Alley started humming the tune to jeopardy, waiting for him to come up with the right answer.

“Because you know it drives me crazy?” he asked, and she gave him a wicked sexy look with a wink, letting him know that he got it right. She took his bottle of beer from him and took a drink and handed it back.

“You really are kind of evil,” he said still looking down at her.

“But evil in a good way right?” she asked.

“I don’t think good, and evil are allowed to work together.”

“We work good together,” she responded, and knew that she shouldn’t have as soon as she said it.

“Alley, stop it. We said we weren’t doing this,” he demanded. “I’m going to take a sho
wer,” he added and got up and disappeared into the house.

“No… you said we weren’t doing this,” she said after he was gone.

Alley went in and got something from her army green back pack and came back to the top step.

Trevas came back with another beer and saw her holding the little ivory bowl in her hand and then she blew out the smoke.

“What the hell are you doing? Give me that,” he demanded, holding out his hand and she moved it so that he couldn’t grab it.

“Trevas stop…” she demanded. “It’s weed, not heroin, chill out,” she added, and held the little pipe to her mouth again and lit it, not caring that he was there.

“Where did you get that?” he wanted to know.

“It’s around,” she answered, trying to hold in the smoke and then handed it to him.

He looked at it briefly shaking his head and then took it and reached for the lighter. He coughed hard, and was unable to hold the smoke in at all, and she laughed. He tried again and handed it back to her, and she hit it in the palm of her hand to empty the ash. She took out the baggy and packed it again and handed it back to him. She took one more hit and then gave it to him. He hit it again, and when he tried to hand it back she waved her hand, still trying to hold in the smoke and then blew it up into the air.

“Uh-uh, I’m stoned,” she admitted, and he shook his head at her.

Trevas laughed harder than he thought that he ever had in his life, when a big neon green bug landed on her leg, and she jumped up screaming like she was being murdered. He wasn’t sure if it was really that funny or if the weed had a hand in on it.

“That’s it take me back to civilization,” she said, laughing with him.

Trevas walked into turn their food down to warm after an hour because they both had decided that they weren’t ready to eat yet. He brought another beer out, and she sat on the step in front of him, between his legs.

“It’s really dark in Utah,” Alley told him, looking up to the starry sky.

“It’s dark in LA too. You just can’t see it from all of the lights and smog.”

Alley looked back at him with a serious look. “I was just commenting on the stars. I think I know why.”

Trevas laughed. “Of course you know why,” he teased and she took his beer again.

They talked and laughed for a long time, and Trevas was sure a lot of it had to do with being stoned, but at that given moment he didn’t care and was having the time of his life with her.

“Let’s eat before I perish and have to call my dad and tell him that you’re not feeding me,” she told him and took his hand and pulled him inside with her.

“You are going to perish and then call him?”

“You’re going to perish if you don’t stop being a wiseass,” Alley threatened, and he laughed.

Trevas fixed them both a plate, and they took it to the couch.

“Hmm, this is delicious,” she told him as she often did with his cooking. He browned sirloin steak in olive oil and Italian dressing and then baked it in the oven with potatoes, onions, peppers and mushrooms in a homemade sauce that he had thrown together.

“I think it needs more Worcestershire sauce,” he replied.

“Yeah totally,” she told him, with her ‘whatever’ look.

“You have no clue, what that is do you?”

“Nope,” she admitted. “You would get along great with my mom. She is always making some kind of fancy dish and watching stupid cooking shows.”

“Really? Your mom likes to cook?” he asked surprised, thinking that she was like Fletcher and had her meals prepared for her.

“No, I was joking,” she replied sarcastically.

“That’s it wiseass, you’re eating peanut butter for the next two weeks.”

  “I like peanut butter.”

Trevas took her empty plate and cleaned up their plates, and she took her laptop and turned down the covers on the bed.

“Are these sheets clean?” she wanted to know before she crawled into them.

“Yes, they are clean. My mom was just over here last weekend and cleaned and changed the sheets,” he assured her.

She slid out of her shorts and climbed into the bed and turned her laptop on. “You don’t have to always clean up after me,” she told him while she waited for her laptop to power on.

“Yeah sure, I think that Alley is used to being spoiled and not doing anything for herself.”

“Yeah, she kind of is,” she replied smiling at him.

Alley messed around on her computer for a little bit and then moved it to the stand. She got up and went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and then Trevas went in to do the same.

When he returned she was standing leaned up against the back of the couch, facing the bed and he stopped. She stared at him from the short distance between them, and he stared back looking at how beautiful she was standing there in the skimpy tank-top, and even skimpier white lace panties.

“Come here,” she whispered and he couldn’t have been stopped if he would have had a gun to his head.

“You are so beautiful Alley,” he said taking her in his arms. He ran his hand down her bare arm and to her wrist and slowly kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and he pulled her up to the back of the couch, and she wrapped her legs around his waist. He held her there and kissed her for a long time, she pulled away enough to remover her shirt. He looked down at her and ran is hand from her hair, down her shoulder and to her chest, staring absorbedly the whole time. He continued to kiss her while his hands continued to enjoy her breast and then he picked her up and turned, walking the two steps to the bed and slowly bent to place her carefully on the bed. She scooted back, and he followed not letting her out of his arms.

“Take your shirt off,” she told him, wanting to feel him on her and he obliged.

Trevas continued to kiss her, lose control and gain it back all at the same time. Alley was having a hard time controlling her own emotions as her breathing and heart picked up. She felt a yearning in the pit of her stomach. Alley moved her hands to the button on his jeans, and he looked down at her hands and then back at her face. She knew the look, and she was right. He put his hand over hers to stop her, and she knew she was losing him.

“Trevas don’t!” she demanded with a look of warning.

She moved back to him and took his mouth again, forcing her tongue into his mouth and briefly his tongue entwined with hers and then he rolled off of her and onto his back with a deep sigh.

Alley closed her eyes and sighed her own deep breath.

“What the fuck Trevas?” she asked angrily.

“Alley,” he said softly and she was off the bed pulling her shirt back on.

“Fuck you Trevas. What the fuck do you want?”

“Come here,” he tried, propped up on one elbow, but she didn’t want any part of it.

“Fuck you,” she replied again, and pulled the curtain to the bathroom and opened the tiny cabinet and took out a sheet.

“What are you doing?” he wanted to know.

“Making a bed on the couch, so that you don’t have to worry about touching me,” she answered irate.

“Alley, come here,” he petitioned again and of course she didn’t listen, she spread the sheet out on the couch, stuffing it in the cushions and then grabbed the colorful afghan folded at the end of the bed while she glared at him. She lay on the couch, unable to see him now because the back of the couch created a barrier.

“I’m begging you to come back to bed with me Alley,” he pleaded.

“Do you like hearing me say, fuck you, or something? Why would you want me in bed with you?”

“Because I want you in my arms.”

“Yeah, well I want you in side of me, I guess we don’t always get what we want, do we?”

“Will you stop being so obstinate and come here.”

Alley sat up to look at him. “Do you have a problem Trevas?” she asked with narrowed eyes.

&
nbsp; “What do you mean a problem?”

“I mean does your dick, not work or something?”

Trevas had to snicker a little. “It works just fine. That’s not the problem.”

“Then what is? I don’t get you.”

“I don’t know Alley. This is just really hard for me.”

“How old were you the first time you had sex?”

“That has nothing to do with anything.”

  “How old Trevas?”

“My seventeenth birthday,” he answered her question reluctantly.

“Hmm,” she made the noise and lay back down.

Trevas tried to talk to her, but she wouldn’t answer and was done talking. He got up and stood over the back of the couch, and she looked up to him. He took her hand and made her come back to bed with him. They didn’t talk anymore, and she snuggled up to his front with her back and fell asleep in his arms.

Trevas woke early and opened the front door letting the morning sunshine originate through the door. He propped the wooden door open with the black cast iron bull statue, leaned up against the wall and quietly opened and closed the screen door. It was a beautiful June morning, and he breathed deeply, the fresh country air.

He quietly stepped back in to make coffee and was going to take it down to the dock. He looked over at sleeping Alley while he waited for it to run through. She had thrown the covers off and was lying on her stomach. She had her left leg pulled up, and her bottom with the skimpy white panties was all that his eyes would focus on. He shook his head and looked at her sleeping face, her long dark hair was lying to the back, and one arm was hidden under her body, and the other rested under her cheek. His heart ached from the impression that she had made on him in such a short time and he wondered why.

He was just getting ready to pour a cup of coffee when he heard someone on the wooden porch. He quickly moved around to see his mother with a bag of groceries.

She came in also being quiet when she saw Alley sleeping. “I thought you guys could use some food,” she whispered, looking to Alley.

Trevas walked over and covered her, and she stirred a little and rolled to her side.
