Skye released a loud moan. “Cayson…”
I loved it when she said my name. I pinned one leg back and moved my face closer to hers. I rocked into her slowly, feeling the tightness between her legs. Damn, it felt so good. This was exactly where I belonged—with my wife. “Baby…” Everything felt a million times better when I realized I would come home. I would get this kind of love every single night for the rest of my life. The argument we had was over. She finally believed that I would never hurt her. Maybe she started to really think about it and understand that it didn’t make any sense. She finally found the faith I’d been talking about.
She believed in me.
Her skin felt so good against mine. It was soft and smelled of flowers. Sweat trickled down my chest, and my pelvic bone rubbed against her clitoris in the way she loved. I was giving her as much as I could at a slow speed. Lovemaking with my wife was always slow. It was more about the connection between us rather than how good our bodies felt together. I kissed her and treasured her like always, feeling my heart start to put itself back together when I realized everything would be okay. She was my wife again—even if that wasn’t reflected on paper.
Skye gripped my shoulders then rocked herself into me. She moved faster as she tightened around me. Her hair stuck to the sweat on her neck and she had a distant look in her eyes. She moaned quietly until it came out as shouts. She came all around my neck, her nails digging into me.
I loved feeling her come. I loved watching it even more. My dick hardened when the pool of moisture flooded me. Her pregnant belly was right underneath me, and feeling it next to me just turned me on more. I widened her legs further and moved deep inside her, wanting to give her every piece of me. I pressed my forehead to hers as the heat flushed through my body.
“Come inside me.” She gripped my forearms and watched me release.
Hearing those words set me off. I exploded deep inside her, feeling everything drain out like an avalanche. I hadn’t found this kind of release since the last time I was with her. The orgasm lasted a long time, and I knew I gave her a lot more than usual. I released a loud moan when I was finished, still feeling the tenderness in my dick.
Skye pressed kisses to my cheeks and my neck. Her arms moved around me and she kept me close to her. “I’m so sorry, Cayson.”
It took her a long time to figure it out, but that didn’t matter. She believed me now and finally understood I’d always been faithful to her. I could move on and forget about it. My wife was everything to me, my key to happiness. I would always forgive her—no matter what. “It’s okay, baby.” I started to move off of her.
“No.” She pulled me back then rolled me to my side. “Just stay there…”
I wasn’t going to protest. I hooked her leg over my waist then cuddled into her. I was sweaty and warm but the rise in temperature didn’t bother me. All I cared about was being as close to her as possible. We had the room for the entire evening and we may as well get our money’s worth.
Her fingers moved the wet hair out of my face. “I love you.”
I kissed the corner of her mouth. “I love you too, Skye. Forever and Ever.”
Chapter Four
Conrad
I stood at the bar and grabbed myself another beer.
“Dude, this place is awesome.” Tony looked around in awe.
“I know, right?” I sliced a lime and put it on the edge of my beer. “I’m living the life.” I called up a few of my friends from high school since my other friends were lame. They wouldn’t be down with an underwear party.
“What happened to that blonde chick you were with?” Brandon asked.
I knew she would come up eventually. “We broke up a while ago.” I didn’t elaborate.
“I heard through the grapevine you were super serious.” Tony gave me a hard look like he didn’t believe me.
“We kinda were. But then I dumped her.” Like I’d ever tell them what really happened.
“Why?” Brandon asked.
I pointed to the pool on the back porch, where a few girls were swimming around in their underwear. “That’s why.”
Tony chuckled. “I think you made the right decision.”
The doorbell rang before the door flew open. Amanda stepped inside with her bag over her shoulder. She wore short-shorts with a loose top. Her legs looked as sexy as they did ten years ago.
I went to high school with her but we lost touch. And I never nailed her when I had the chance. Whenever I was single, she was dating someone on the football team. When I was seeing someone, she was conveniently free. Our timing never lined up.
But now things were different.
“I’d love to have her legs wrapped around my head,” Tony said before he took a drink.
“Dibs,” I called.
“Why do you get dibs?” Brandon asked.
“My party.” I abandoned my beer then approached her with a smug look on my face. “I guess you didn’t get the memo.”
“What memo?” she asked with a cold expression. She was always a little prissy.
“It’s an underwear party.” I stood in my boxers, all my manliness on display. “Time to strip.”
She looked around my place and ignored what I said. “Wow, Conrad. You must be doing well for yourself.”
“Junior CEO.” I shot her a wink. “What do you do?”
“Personal shopper.”
“Cool.” I eyed her up and down. “Can I get you a beer?”
“How about a martini?”
“I can make that too. But you need to check in your clothes.” I nodded to the couch piled with shirts and jeans. “It’s your ticket in here, baby.”
She looked irritated but she complied. She stripped off her shirt and shorts, just standing in her bra and thong.
Da-yum. She was fine.
She put her hands on her hips.
I kept staring at her.
“How about that drink?”
“Oh yeah.” I played it cool and walked to the bar.
Tony and Brandon were both struggling not to stare.
I made the martini then returned to her with the glass in hand. “I’m not a bartender but I’m pretty good.”
She took a sip. “It’s decent.”
“Maybe I should change careers.”
She looked around until she spotted the pool. “No, I think you should stick to what you’re doing.”
“And bartend on the side?” I gave her a smirk.
She rolled her eyes then stepped toward the pool.
If I wanted to get laid tonight I had to play it cool. “Well, the girls are out there. The guys will be there in a second. We’re just checking the score of the game.”
Amanda looked taken aback, like she was surprised I didn’t continue to drool all over her. Guys pined at her feet, and the fact I wasn’t doing it rubbed her the wrong way.
Just because I’d been out of the game for a while didn’t mean I forgot the rules.
***
We played volleyball in the pool, girls against the guys. Like I expected, the guys won. The girls were too concerned about getting their hair wet to really participate. The music from the sound speakers played even outside, and we partied just the way we used to.
“I’m going for Sarah,” Brandon said. “It’s clear Amanda is only into you.”
I hadn’t spoken to her for the rest of the night so I wasn’t sure how he figured that out. “What makes you say that?”
“I tried hitting on her and she didn’t take the bait,” he admitted. “And Sarah is easy—everyone knows that.”
“Just be grateful you can get anything at all,” I teased.
He smacked me in the shoulder then moved across the pool where Sarah was sitting with a drink in her hand.
I turned my gaze on Amanda and moved in. She was sitting in the hot tub with her arms on the concrete. She was looking out at the beautiful view of the city. I left the pool then joined her in the warm water. “Where do you live?”
“Upper East Side.”
“Good spot.” I eyed her ass in the water. It was a little obscured by bubbles but I could still make out some definition. Her bright pink thong looked great against her skin.
She turned toward me, sitting on her rear so I could no longer see it. “I always knew you would be rich. I just didn’t realize how rich.”
I shrugged. “And I’m going to get richer.”
Brandon and Sarah started going at it in the pool. She sat in his lap and bounced on his dick while their waists were submerged in the water. Their distant moans were heard every once in a while.
Tony and Jennifer were making out on the lounge chair. It would only be a few minutes before they started to get down to business.
I didn’t stare because there were strict rules about that kind of stuff. But I really wanted to join in the fun—with Amanda. “Want to be my personal shopper?”
“You need help picking out your clothes?”
“No. I just hate shopping. I can give you my size and let you take care of it.”
“Wow…that was the easiest gig I’ve ever landed.”
“You should be paying me,” I said. “You get to dress up a handsome stud like me. You’re one lucky gal.”
She chuckled slightly. “Still full of yourself, I see.”
“And you still want to be full of me.” It was an arrogant thing to say but women responded to that. I knew how she felt toward me. Her attraction was obvious despite the game she was playing. She wanted to come all over my dick but she didn’t want to give it away too quickly.
She brushed it off. “Whatever you say, Conrad.”
I moved across the hot tub until I was right beside her. She didn’t move away but she tensed noticeably. I placed my arm across the concrete of the hot tub and leaned close to her, close enough for a kiss.
But I didn’t move in all the way.
She didn’t pull away. Her lips hovered near mine.
“I’m not buying it, Amanda. You want me, then take me.”
She eyed my lips before she closed the distance between us.
I kissed her softly before my hand moved to her thigh under the water. I played with her colorful thong and found my way to the area between her legs. Then I rubbed her clitoris hard, knowing it would make her legs open easily.
She started to pant into my mouth and her arousal grew with every passing moment. Finally, she pulled my hand away and broke our kiss.
I stared at her, unsure what she wanted next.
“Where’s your room?”
I preferred to fuck right there but some girls were weird about public places. “I’ll show you.”
***
We got my sheets wet but I didn’t give a damn. I fucked her hard on my bed, loving how flexible her legs were. She practically pushed them past her head, and she was so wet for me. She tried to act cool like she wasn’t into me, but judging the way she fucked me harder than I fucked her she’d wanted me for a long time.
When we were finished, we lay on my damp sheets. I tossed my old condom in the bin then stared at the ceiling. The music from the speakers could still be heard.
Amanda sighed beside me, like she was deeply satisfied. “I always wondered what that would feel like.”
“Well, now you know.”
“I want to do it again.” She ran her fingers down my chest.
“Give me a few minutes.”
She kissed my chest then moved toward the area over my heart. It was a sensitive area, and I forgot how sensitive until she came near it.
I pulled her toward me and kept her lips from the area.
Her eyes widened at my unusual reaction.
I quickly changed the subject. “Lived in the city your whole life?”
She took the bait. “Like I’d ever leave it.”
“I like it here too.”
Her fingers grazed across my lower stomach. “So, you got a girlfriend?”
“No. Why would I if I’m with you?”
She shrugged. “Not everyone is as chivalrous as you think.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Do you have a boyfriend?”
“Maybe…”
That rubbed me the wrong way. “It’s a yes or no question.”
“I do…he works for a theatre company.”
“Then why did you sleep with me?”
She giggled. “I don’t know…I felt like it.”
It was so easy for her to fuck my brains out and ask me to fuck her harder. She had someone waiting at home for her but she didn’t seem to care. Did Lexie do the same thing to me? Was that why she said no? If I were going to survive in this world I’d need to accept it. The world was full of cruel people. I was tired of holding down the fort alone. No one appreciated the good guy I could be. As far as I was concerned, that man was dead. “You aren’t going to mention me, right?”
She laughed. “God, no. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.”
“He’s not good in bed?”
“He’s okay.”
“So, he sucks?”
“He doesn’t always make me come—put it that way.”
“Then why are you with him?” She could get any guy she wanted.
“I don’t know…he’s rich.”
“Well, I’m rich.”
Her eyes filled with interest. “Looking to settle down?”
Now it was my turn to laugh. “I’m a terminal bachelor, Amanda. But I can buy you pretty things for keeping me satisfied.”
“What kind of things?”
“You like cars?”
She smiled. “You have my attention.”
***
There was a loud knock on the door the following morning.
I kept my eyes closed and tried to stay asleep. Amanda stirred beside me but didn’t get up.
Then the knock came again. “Open the door, Conrad.” It was a man, but the voice was too muffled for me to understand who it was.
Amanda kicked me under the sheets. “Answer the door.” She pulled the blanket further up her shoulder.
I sighed then got out of bed. My eyes were lidded and I felt for my clothes in the dark. Then I walked out and headed to the entryway. Everyone was sleeping on the couches or even the floor. They were all dead asleep. The knocking obviously hadn’t awoken them.
I looked through the peephole and spotted Roland on the other side. What did he want this early in the morning? I opened the door. “Dude, what’s with the rooster call?”
“Rooster call?”
“Yeah, it’s…” I looked at my wrist but realized my watch wasn’t there. “Super early.”
“It’s one in the afternoon.” He peered behind me and saw everyone on the couches. “Conrad, we need to talk.”
“About?” The couch I needed to replace? “And do we need to talk right now?”
“Yes, we definitely need to talk now,” Roland snapped. “You’re out of control.”
“Out of control?” I asked. “What are you talking about?”
“You put rum in your coffee, you’re always late to work, and now you’re having a party?”
“Yes…I had a party last night. That makes me a bad person?” Last time I checked, that just meant I had a life.
“You’re doing this for the wrong reasons.”
“I’m just having a good time. When did you turn into a whiny bitch?”
His eyes smoldered in rage.
“Why don’t you just stay out of my business? I’m having a great time and I’m happy.”
“You aren’t happy. You’re nowhere near it. You’re trying to pretend that nothing happened but it did. You’re just repressing it. You can’t do that, Conrad.”
“I’m not repressing anything. Lexie and I broke up and now I’m happy. Why is that so hard to believe?”
“Because you’re lying. She ripped you apart and you’re so scarred by it that you can’t even think about what she did to you. That’s how broken you are. Acting like this isn’t going to make it go away
. You can’t pretend it didn’t happen.”
“Well, it didn’t happen as far as I’m concerned. I wasted my time with Lexie and I learned my lesson. Now I’m truly happy. I live in the moment and don’t waste my time on any single person.”
Roland shook his head. “Conrad, I’m really worried about you.”
“You’re acting like I’m doing drugs or something. I’m just having a good time.”
“You think if you fuck all of New York you’ll forget about her.”
I hated talking about her. “I have forgotten her, Roland. That’s why I’ve fucked all of New York.” I slammed the door in his face and locked it.
Roland knocked on the wood. “I’m not done talking to you!”
“Well, I’m done talking to you.”
Chapter Five
Arsen
“Oh my god.” Janice opened the box and her eyes immediately softened when she saw the sparkling ring inside. “It’s absolutely gorgeous…” She pulled the ring out of the box and examined it closely. When she saw the engraving inside she read it out loud. “Beauty…”
“It’s my nickname for her,” I explained.
“And what does she call you?” Ryan asked. “Unless it’s something I don’t want to hear…”
“Beast,” I answered. “I’m the dark to her light.”
“That’s so sweet.” Janice continued to hold the ring. “She’ll love it, Arsen. I see her face every time I look at it.”
I knew she would love it. I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect ring. She would wear it for the rest of her life. It couldn’t be ordinary. It had to be something unique and beautiful—nothing less than the best.
“She’ll love it,” Ryan said. “There’s no doubt about that. I remember when I bought her a Ring Pop and she freaked out over it.”
“A Ring Pop?” I asked. I had no idea what that was.
“You know, one of those candy suckers you wear? And you suck on the diamond part?” Ryan watched my face.
I didn’t get candy and treats when I was younger so I had no idea what it was.
Ryan shook his head. “Nevermind.”
“How are you going to ask?” Janice said as she returned the ring to the box.
I’d put a lot of thought into it and didn’t want to share it with anyone. It was very special to me—to Silke and I. “I’d rather not say…it’s kind of personal.”
