Wanted by the Warrant Officer Page 3

by Davenport, Fiona

Holy shit. Hearing her say my name like that nearly had me coming like a teenager during his first make-out session.

I released her nipple but kept her breasts in my palms, gently massaging them as I took her mouth in a fierce kiss.

There was a war going on inside me. I didn't want to give her the opportunity for logic to creep in, but a bigger part of me knew I needed to make sure she was ready. I ripped my lips from hers and looked deep into her eyes. “Are you sure about this?”

She bit her bottom lip and nodded.

“Once I've had you, there's no going back. You're mine.”

Piper's lip popped out from between her teeth, and she scooted closer, bringing her pussy a little snugger against my erection. “I want you,” she whispered, and I could see the sincerity in her blue pools.

Once again, I flipped us over, then resumed kissing my way down her body. I stopped at the line of her panties and put a kiss just above the material before I grabbed them in the center and ripped them from her body. “Fuck.” Her lips were pink and glistening with her arousal.

“Tell me this is all for me. That no one else has ever tasted this pussy.”

When Piper bit her bottom lip, I reached up and tugged it out for her. “The only one who bites that lip is me.”

She blushed adorably. “It’s all for you,” she murmured, responding to my earlier demand.

Dropping my head, I ran my nose along her mound and inhaled deeply. “So fucking delicious,” I grunted before parting her lips with my thumbs and giving her one long lick from top to bottom. She cried out, and her hips bucked, filling my mouth with her pussy.

I’d never get enough of her taste. As I worked her with my tongue and teeth, I felt her hold on me tightening. I was not a man with many vices—being in the military, particularly black ops, meant being adaptable and in control at all times. But I instantly knew that Piper was my addiction, and I would always fight a nearly uncontrollable need to taste her, fuck her—to just be near her.

Her cries escalated as I devoured her, and once I’d worked a finger into her tight pussy, it wasn’t long before she fell over the edge. Her muscles rippled and pulsed as her climax tore through her. I couldn’t wait another second. I needed to be inside her. I was dying to feel her coming on my cock. But the snug fit also served as a reminder that I needed to take my time with her, prepare her so that she didn’t experience more pain than was necessary.

Keeping that in mind, I pushed aside my raging need and worked yet another orgasm out of her, this time managing to fit two digits into her channel. They weren’t nearly as big and long as my dick, but she was absolutely drenched, and I’d stretched the muscles enough that I was confident she’d be able to take me.

I climbed off the bed and shoved my boxer briefs down my legs before kicking them off. Piper gasped, and when I looked at her face, she was staring at my dick with her plump lips forming a little O. I groaned at the images that provoked and stroked myself, trying to calm down.

  “I don’t, um...think you’re going to fit.”

With a soft smile, I moved back onto the bed and lowered myself so we were skin to skin from chest to feet. “Do you trust me, baby?”

She nodded immediately, and it made me even more determined to make this good for her. “I don’t understand it, but somehow, I just do.”

I kissed her, a sweet slow melding of our mouths while I rocked my hips into the apex of her thighs. When she began to writhe beneath me, breaking the connection of our lips, I shifted until the tip of my cock teased her entrance. “It’s going to hurt,” I warned her, my tone filled with regret. “But I promise to make it up to you.”

Piper nodded and blinked a few times as if trying to clear away the fog of lust, but her trusting gaze showed through it.

Capturing her mouth in a searing kiss, I plunged inside her, seating myself completely in that one thrust. Piper gasped into my mouth, but I swallowed the sound as I did my best to take her mind off the pain. Remaining still while she adjusted to my size was difficult—especially with the way her pussy clamped around me.

“Holy cow,” she breathed a few seconds later when she ended our kiss.

  “Are you alright?” I rasped.

“I didn’t think it would work,” she admitted. She moved her hips experimentally, and I groaned, dropping my face into the crook of her neck. “You’ve stretched me to a point where it should be painful, but instead, I just feel full and desperate for you to move.”

“Thank fuck,” I breathed against her skin.

I retreated a few inches before gliding back in, and a little come leaked from my dick when she moaned. “Oh, Deacon.”

“I fucking love when you say my name like that,” I growled.

  “More.”

This time, I pulled out almost to the tip before sliding home. I kept a slow and steady rhythm, trying to be gentle.

However, Piper was having none of that. “Faster, Deacon. Please. I can’t take it.”

Willing to give her anything she asked for, I sped up my pace. “Harder,” she whimpered.

Her plea shattered my control. I gripped her wrists and held them above her head as I dug my toes into the bed for leverage. Fire raced through my body as I began to pound in and out of her, my balls slapping her ass each time I bottomed out inside her.

“Fuck,” I grunted. “Your pussy is so damn tight, baby. I don’t think I can last much longer.”

Her core clenched, and I shouted at the blissful sensation. “Deacon. Oh, yes. I’m close,” she whispered raggedly.

“Come, baby,” I demanded. I kept her wrists locked in one of my hands and moved the other between us to stimulate her clit. “Oh fuck. That’s it, Piper. Come and milk my cock of everything I’ve got. Fuck!”

Piper’s head dropped back, and she screamed my name as her climax ripped through her. The feel of her coming on my dick and her muscles gripping me like a vise set off a series of explosions inside me. “Oh, fuck, Piper! Fuck, yeah! Fuck!”

I’d never experienced anything so incredible. It was like embarking on an adventure and coming home all at the same time.

When I’d told Piper she would be mine once I had her, I didn’t stop to think about how the same was true of me. I was hers as much as she was mine, and no matter what happened next, we’d face it together because I was never giving her up.

Deacon and I spent the rest of the day in bed, making love several times between naps and eating whatever food I could scrounge up from my kitchen. By the following morning, I’d had more orgasms than I ever thought possible and was sore in places I didn’t know existed. A low groan rumbled up my chest as I rolled over, stretching my arm out to the other side of the bed in search of Deacon’s muscular body. When I encountered nothing but cold sheets, I pried my eyes open and called out, “Deacon?”

My question was met with silence, making me frown. I rolled off the mattress and snagged a tank top and pajama shorts from my dresser. After tugging them on, I padded into the living room but found no sign of Deacon. Flinging the door open to see if his truck was still at the curb, I spotted something colorful at my feet. I bent low to pick up the bouquet and lifted them to my face, breathing in their fragrant scent. “Aw, my man is so sweet.”

I headed into the kitchen to put the flowers in water, grumbling a little to myself when I couldn’t find a note tucked into the stems. But my frustration disappeared when I saw a white note card with dark masculine lettering scrawled on it leaning against the coffee machine. Deacon had quickly discovered that coffee was my favorite way to get my caffeine fix, so it was smart of him to leave the note where he could be sure that I’d find it. After setting the flowers in the sink, I went over to read what he’d written.

Ran out to grab provisions. Be back soon.

The note was simple and to the point, but that didn’t stop me from tucking it into a drawer as a keepsake. Then I trimmed the stems from
the flowers, put them in a vase, and set them in the center of my small dining table. When that was all done, I heard the rumble of the engine from Deacon’s truck out front. I headed outside, planning to thank him for the flowers and help bring in the groceries. But I came to an abrupt stop on my doorstep when he strode over to shake hands with a guy climbing out of the driver’s seat of a four-door sedan parked behind his truck instead of walking toward me.

The guy handed him something before jogging toward another car idling in the street. When they pulled away, Deacon finally turned in my direction and flashed me a big grin. “Hey, baby.”

I returned his smile before asking, “How do you know that guy?”

“Never met him before today.” Deacon tossed a set of keys toward me, and I instinctively reached out to catch them. “He was here to drop off your car.”

I glanced at the shiny, brand spanking new car parked at the curb, my brow wrinkling in confusion. “Um, have you had any traumatic brain injuries during your time in the Navy?”

“Nope.” Deacon rubbed his palm over the top of his head. “I’ve done a damn good job at protecting my noggin. Why?”

“I’m a little worried that after driving Betsy from the hospital all the way here and then to your friends’ place, you think that car”—I pointed at the luxury vehicle that cost more than my rent for an entire year—“evenly remotely resembles mine beyond having four tires and a steering wheel.”

“Yeah, about that. I have some bad news.” I moved closer as he dropped the tailgate on the back of his truck. “When I stopped over at Merrick and Audrey’s place to grab my stuff, Betsy wasn’t there.”

My eyes widened. “Someone stole Betsy?”

“I’m not sure what happened to her.” He shrugged his broad shoulders. “But I couldn’t leave you without a vehicle, so I called a friend whose brother owns some dealerships, and he had him send a car over for you.”

I held up my hand—the one that wasn’t holding the keys to a brand-new car—while I tried to wrap my head around what he was telling me. It took me a moment since it was a lot to take in. “Your friend’s brother sent over a Lexus for me to drive? No questions asked? Just here’s a forty-thousand-dollar car to replace the one you lost?”

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure that model costs more than that, but there’s no way to know for sure since we’ll never see the invoice.”

The hint of color that spread across his cheeks as he grabbed his duffel and a couple of bags of groceries from the back of his truck piqued my curiosity. “Your friend’s brother sent over a car for me to use, and he’s not expecting any money for it?”

“All Cory would say was that the ES 350 model is popular with women and is one of the safest cars on the road. That was enough to sell me.” He jerked his thumb toward the sedan as he walked toward me. “And he didn’t just send it over for you to use.”

I gripped the keys so hard that they dug into my palm. “It isn’t a loaner?”

He shifted the bags so he could fling his arm over my shoulder and lead me back into my apartment. “Nope, the temporary documents are in the glove compartment, and he’s having someone handle the paperwork to transfer the title over to you.”

“That-what-I…” I shook my head, unable to articulate what I was thinking. My thoughts were all over the place as I followed Deacon into my kitchen and watched him put away the food he’d bought. “Why would your friend’s brother give me a car?”

He heaved a deep sigh and scrubbed his palms over his face. “Because he’s a billionaire who feels like he owes me because I helped his brother, Jasper, rescue him when he was kidnapped. Cory has been trying to find a way to pay me back, so he jumped all over this situation.”

If I’d had any doubts about how boring my life was compared to Deacon’s, the ease with which he talked about his part in rescuing a kidnapped billionaire would have cleared them up. “I’m not sure what to think about all of this.”

“You’d be doing me a favor by accepting the car. Maybe Cory will back off on the gratitude then.” He tugged me against his chest, his hands sliding down to cup my butt. “Do you need some persuading to take a new, safer car that’ll make me worry less when we’re apart? Because I’m more than happy to do whatever it takes to convince you.”

Maybe I was an awful person for capitulating so quickly, but I’d been meaning to replace Betsy for a while. The Lexus was so darn cute, and I didn’t want Deacon to be worried about me when he should focus on his duties. Not to mention that my sexy man was offering me orgasms to get me to agree, and there was no way in heck I’d ever turn down the mind-blowing pleasure I was quickly becoming addicted to.

Tossing the keys for the Lexus onto the counter, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and jumped up to wrap my legs around his hips. “Convince away, big guy.”

  * * *

Over the next week, my cute bungalow apartment was our love shack. I didn’t have a lot of space, but Deacon and I didn’t need it because we were glued to each other’s side. My plan to spend some time at the beach after catching up on errands quickly flew out the window. I didn’t cross a single item off my to-do list—except for getting plenty of sleep since Deacon kept wearing me out to the point of exhaustion—because I was too busy enjoying my time with Deacon to worry about stuff that I could do when he was gone. Although I did end up with a new car after he’d driven me to the tip of orgasm five times without letting me go over the edge. By that point, I was out of my mind with need and would have agreed to anything, including accepting the Lexus.

We did try going to the beach, but we’d spent a grand total of ten minutes there before Deacon tossed me over his shoulder and carried me to his truck. As much as he’d loved my bikini—and stripping me out of the tiny scraps of material once we were back at my place—he hadn’t been a fan of other guys seeing that much of my bare skin.

But our little love bubble was about to burst because Deacon’s leave was over, and he only had three hours before he needed to report to the naval base. Time had never flown for me as quickly as it had this past week. Twining my arms around his neck, I buried my face against his chest and mumbled, “I can’t believe you have to go already.”

“Neither can I.” He pressed his finger under my chin and tilted my head back to claim my mouth in a deep kiss. “I wish I had more time, but I’ve already pushed my departure to the last minute. Luckily, I have what I need on base so I can head straight there for morning PT with my team.”

“I can’t give you a lot of details about what I’m going to be doing or where I’ll be when I’m deployed, not even when we’re married.” Butterflies swarmed in my belly at his casual mention of marriage. “But I can say that there will probably be a small amount of time when I’m unreachable soon. And I swear that you’re the first person I’ll call when I’m able.”

“The last thing you need to worry about when you’re on a mission is me, Deacon.” I went up to my toes to brush my lips against his jaw. “Just focus on coming back home in one piece. My job keeps me plenty busy, so some of the sacrifices that come from being in a relationship won’t be as hard on me as they are for others.”

“There’s another thing that can keep you busy this time.” His fingers dug into my hips. “Start packing your stuff, baby.”

My head jerked back, my brow wrinkling in confusion. “What for?”

He flashed me a cocky grin. “So you can move in with me.”

I loved how comfortable he was talking about our future together as though nothing was in doubt, but this was taking it a step too far. Dropping my arms from around his neck to plant my hands on my hips, I glared up at him through my lashes. “You’re making some pretty big assumptions there, buddy. Even if I was ready to move in with you, it’s not as simple as me packing up and moving to the other side of the city. Your home is in San Diego, and I live in LA. My job, which I worked darn hard to get, is here.”

“San Diego has plenty of hospitals. I bet one of them would snap
you up in a heartbeat if given the chance.”

“Right.” I huffed in disbelief and snapped my fingers. “I’m sure it’ll be that easy for me to find another job of my dreams.”

He dropped his forehead against mine, his blue eyes filled with regret. “I’m sorry you’re the one who’ll have to make this sacrifice, baby. If I could move here now, I would. But between the ranch and my commitment to the Navy, that’s just not possible at the moment. But I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you’re happy in San Diego, and if I can’t, then I won’t re-up again and I’ll hire someone to manage the ranch so we can move somewhere else when I’ve completed my current enlistment obligation.”

“Well, dang,” I sighed, those butterflies swarming in my belly again. “When you make an offer like that, I can’t stay angry about your high-handedness in telling me to pack.”

He kissed me until I was breathless before asking, “Does that mean you’re going to pack and put out some feelers for a job in San Diego?”

I wasn’t normally an impulsive person, but I could give him only one answer. “Yeah, that’s exactly what it means.”

  Deacon

Huntley was waiting for me when I arrived on base. I sighed when I saw the way too big smile on his face and glint in his eyes.

“Merrick told you?” I guessed grumpily.

He rolled his eyes and shook his head. “You think we gossip about your love life, sailor? Nah, Audrey called Cora.”

“Figures,” I muttered. I should have known Merrick’s wife would spread the gossip to Huntley’s wife.

Truthfully, he had every right to give me shit after the teasing I’d doled out when he fell for Cora. But I was pissed as fuck to be away from Piper, and for the first time since I’d enlisted, I was not looking forward to being deployed.
