She is trembling, and says nothing. Her heart beats against my chest, and I am suddenly heedless, desirous, and impatient.
“Won’t you undress?” I say, pulling back and shucking out of my own clothes as quickly as I can. I want them off! It feels so good to be alfresco, as Maman always jokingly called it. Alfresco and on view for my Charlie.
“You are so beautiful!” she says, then shyly bows her head, but not before I see her eyes gleaming. She manages to remove her outer layer, but at her cotton undershirt and slip, she hesitates. She sits on the bed, and I sit close beside her.
I lean into her and reach out to take up the very end of her braid. I pull off the string she’s tied it with, and slowly begin to separate the strands. When I’m finished, I place both hands on her cheeks and kiss her forehead between the wings of her hair. She blushes and stays very still. I move behind her on the bed, lean against the wall, and draw her close between my legs so her back rests against me. I spoon myself to her, the rough weave of her undershirt delicious on my nipples, the slick of her smooth slip lovely on my cleft. I do know to tread lightly with girls like my Charlie. I do know that. I press close, I rub my body on her. Oh, the darling! She can’t hide it. She is breathing, sighing, and helping me to rub. She need not turn around, though, my skittish thoroughbred. For this first time, I will carry her and bring her along.
Charlie
My heart is swelling, all my limbs, my breast, my belly, oh, she slides on me, the clothing between us, conducting our heat. Leave me my clothing, Mimi! I beg without speaking, and she does, though she is gorgeous and naked, only slipping a hand onto my thigh, right to the edge of my drawers, then her fingers feel under the rim into the crease of my thigh. I make some strangled sound and she stops but starts again, creeping, creeping her fingers into the very soft middle of me, where no one has ever felt but I want her to feel it, it is the feel of bells ringing and shouting hallelujah and of being outside during a thunderstorm with lightning striking all around. She is against the wall and I am snug between her legs and I can feel her pressing against me, moving herself against my back, all the while creeping and pattering with her fingers. I grasp the coverlet in bunches, I close my eyes, I move my hips back toward her, then up against her darting fingers. I feel her breasts, heavy and full against my back; she wriggles, takes one of my hands and puts it between us and I try to creep my fingers around and into her as she is doing to me. My hair is all over my face, I am laughing, I am crying, we squirm like snakes entwined how damp she is there, a pool of golden, I know it is golden, as my fingers can feel color, can understand more than fingers ever have about creeping about pattering to and fro where fingers must find their purpose, a purpose hidden from me until today. Her fingers play their rhythm and her hips thrust and reach to mine and I press back, she presses front, oh fingers! oh moist and damp and warm and golden!
Mimi LaRouge
After our release, our climax, our petite mort, I move to the floor and kneel before her, bringing her face to mine so we can finally kiss. I find those thin, supple lips, her tongue swollen from her calls of pleasure.
We will leave New York, we will leave her God and the joes behind, we will return to the country where we both belong. We will live on my family’s farm and Maman and Daddy will take my thoroughbred into their bosoms and we will escape retribution and we will live as we please and no one will harm us.
I shall teach her French, I shall walk with her in our woods. I will do whatever she needs and we will make our own heaven and prepare our own banquet and set a place for our deity there and sit down together and feast on love.
