Laken (The Phoenix Club Girl Diaries Book 2) Page 22

by Addison Jane

Her soft giggle matched anything but the little vixen who was bent over in front of me, her hands braced on the metal shelves as she fucked herself on my dick. She pushed back and pulled herself forward, my hips moving gently with her body, letting her keep control, timing, and rhythm.

In and out, I watched her take it, something seriously erotic about the way it disappeared inside her body, each time a little harder and a little deeper, a sexy gasp escaping her lips with every thrust.

This woman, she surprised me every fucking day.

For someone who had been so beaten down, so fucking broken, she was so beautiful and strong. She thought it had destroyed her, but it hadn’t. It had made her so much more than I think even she could have imagined. And thankfully, she’d chosen me to share it with.

“Holy crap,” she groaned, throwing her hair to the side, so she could look at me over her shoulder. I could practically taste the soft chocolate of those sweet orbs on the end of my tongue. “Harder.”

“You sure?” I teased, almost disappointed about taking over when it was so fucking hot watching her take control of her own pleasure.

“Yes!” she hissed, slamming herself back on my dick and gasping loudly.

I smirked. “Hold on, baby,” I warned, my hands curling around her hips as I drew back, letting my cock almost slide out of her slick wet pussy completely before I drove it right back in, completely to the hilt.

“God!” she screamed, her legs shaking and barely able to hold her up as I pulled back and thrust back in again.

“You ready to come?” I asked, feeling my load already building, knowing that it wouldn’t take much more to shoot it right up inside her. I held it at bay for a little longer, teasing her, tormenting her, knowing she was right on that fucking edge, ready to throw herself over the side and free-fall through ecstasy.

Her pussy was starting to pulse, tightening and tugging at my cock making it almost impossible to hold back any longer.

I reached forward, grabbing a fist full of her hair and pulling her back against me, thrusting my hips upward as her back pressed to my chest. Pulling her head to the side, my lips explored her neck, licking and nipping down over her naked shoulder and back up to her ear. “I asked a question.”

  “Yes.”

  “Louder.”

  “Yes!”

My free hand moved between her legs, rubbing hard at the tight little bud there, flicking it with my index finger just a couple of times before a delightful shudder rumbled through her like the wave of an earthquake resonated outward.

She hooked her arm around my neck to try and keep herself on her feet, her legs shaking profusely as she gasped and moaned through her release.

I drove my cock up inside her two more times before it became too much.

Her pussy pulled at it, milking every fucking drop from inside me as my cum shot up inside her in one of the most powerful releases I’d ever fucking had. “Shit,” I cursed, the both of us stumbling forward and grabbing the shelving unit to steady ourselves. It felt like electricity shooting through my veins like I’d touched a fucking live wire, but in the best possible way that hit all the right nerves.

My lips moved a little slower, peppering light kisses over her hot skin and turning her face to mine so I could press a long, deep kiss to her lips. One that instantly melted away the world around us, and for a second, it wasn’t a couple fucking in the bar room of a club.

It was two souls frozen in a moment.

Kissing her allowed me to say a million things I wasn’t even sure there were words for.

But in this moment, she knew.

Laken pulled away slowly, her eyes still closed, and her body leaning back against mine. “Well, damn,” she whispered with a soft giggle.

“Yeah,” I agreed, holding her body a little tighter, not quite ready to let go just yet or leave her body. “Damn.”

  Bang. Bang. Bang.

“Stop fucking, you two,” Repo called through the locked door. “Shake just called, he needs us at the hospital urgently. Something to do with Meyah.”

My stomach sank instantly, and I took a deep breath.

Lake tugged her dress down, covering all the important parts, then turned and pecked me on the lips, her hand caressing my cheek. “Come on,” she urged. “Shake and Meyah need us.”

  She got it.

How the fuck did I get so lucky?

  LAKEN

Our footsteps echoed in the hospital halls.

It was the middle of the night, the lights were dimmed, and there was a single nurse hurrying ahead of us, taking us to wherever the hell Shake was.

Repo said he didn’t say much.

Just ‘Come now. I need you guys.’

And all I could think of was Meyah’s foot, the pool of blood on our hotel room floor, and how big it was. It would be so easy for her to bleed out if she didn’t get somewhere fast and with the way Shake was with her, the stories I’d heard about how they met and what they went through to be together, I wasn’t sure if Shake would survive it if anything happened to Meyah.

“Here,” the nurse announced, grabbing the clipboard from the door and quickly looking over the notes scribbled down. Her head bobbed up and down, and she hummed away to herself. “He’s inside. Go right in. Let me know if any of you need anything.”

Her soft smile was contagious, but I couldn’t read anything on her face as Dakota pushed the door open, and we slipped by, the group of us slowly filling the tiny hospital room. The bed was made, there was no one in it, and Shake had his back turned to us, his body just slightly hunched over.

“Where’s Meyah?” Dakota asked, Rip wrapping her in his arms as tears choked her. When he didn’t respond, she started fighting against Rip’s tight hold. “Where is she?”

I reached for Myth, my fingers intertwining with his and tears welling in my eyes.

Shake inhaled deeply, drawing his shoulders back and turning slowly to reveal the gentle smile on his face. And the bundle in his arms.

“Oh. My,” Kennedy whispered, her hand going to her mouth.

Shock flowed over us, an orchestra of gasps and probably the most comical picture—all of us wide-eyed with our jaws on the floor. “Meyah’s in intensive care,” he explained, shifting over to the bed and sitting down, his eyes not for a second leaving the tiny person cradled in the crook of his elbow. “The shock of the glass going in her foot put her into labor early. We always knew labor was going to be difficult, so everyone was prepared, and it saved her life. She started to bleed in the theater, and they had blood ready for her.”

“So, she’s okay?” Dakota pressed, slipping out of Rip’s arms and moving to sit on the bed beside Shake. She reached over and tugged lightly on the pastel yellow baby blanket to reveal a little round face, complete with flushed cheeks and a tuft of black hair.

Shake nodded, his shoulders relaxing just a little as if he needed the reminder that the woman he loved was fine. “Things were intense, but she’s out of the woods now. She just needs time to recover. They’re gonna move us all to maternity in a couple of hours when Meyah’s more conscious.”

“So we’re all dying to know,” I announced, trying to keep my voice quiet and soft but excitement getting the better of me. “Boy or girl?”

Shake chuckled, the baby in his arms stirring for a moment before going back to sleep with the sweetest little sigh. “Looks like I’m gonna need a bigger gun for when this one starts dating.”

“Yes!” Dakota crowed loudly before slapping her hand over her mouth. “I mean, yes!” This time she toned it down to a whisper.

Shake and Meyah had a baby girl.

And you could already tell with the way Shake was looking down at her as if he’d just discovered a new part of the universe—his universe—that she was going to have her daddy wrapped around her little baby finger.

Not to mention the handful of uncles who were going to be there right behind him.

  Watching her grow.

Keeping the boys away.

Teaching her how to tune a motorcycle and how to throw a punch.

  Her poor future boyfriends.

“Does this beauty have a name?” Kennedy asked, sneaking around to Shake’s other side and brushing her hand over the few dark hairs decorating the new little head.

Shake smirked and let out a light laugh. “Juliet.”

  Of course.

Meyah had mentioned that Shake’s parents had been scholars—English teachers, I think—who had a passion for Shakespeare. All the siblings had ended up with Shakespearean names—Hamlet, Romeo, and Ophelia. And it turned out it was something he was going to carry on into his own family, which warmed my soul.

“I’m just glad you didn’t go with Gertrude or Beatrice,” Dakota commented, sounding a little relieved.

“There’s still time,” Rip joked, his grin always bright when he teased his old lady.

Unfortunately for him, Dakota was far too fucking quick. “I can’t wait till I have my own little girl. Desdemona will be the light of my life.”

Myth coughed into his elbow, horribly disguising his laughter. I, myself, didn’t even bother fighting the giggles that burst free when I watched the smug grin on Ripley’s face quickly diminish. “We aren’t calling our daughter Desdemona.”

“And then hopefully we have a little boy after that,” Dakota rambled, ignoring him completely as she doted on the little one in Shake’s arms. “And Desdemona will look after her little brother, Phobus.”

  “Woman…”

“I think that’s our cue,” Myth snorted, stepping in just far enough to pat his brother on the back. “We’ll let you guys rest and come back in the morning. Congrats, man.”

“Congrats,” I offered with a soft smile. “I’m gonna be back in a few hours for some cuddles.”

Then I backed out, allowing everyone a little space to have their moment. Myth caught me round the waist the second I was out the door, leading me back down the dimly lit hall we’d come up. At least, I thought. “You have no idea where we’re going, do you?” He chuckled, steering me to the left when we reached the end.

“Not a clue.” I really didn’t. We’d come up here in such a rush of emotions and a blur of liquor, I hadn’t really noticed anything other than the white walls and the nurse in her blue scrubs who walked ahead of us. “We aren’t gonna wait for them?”

“We’ll meet them down at the cars,” he answered, pushing open the staircase door and holding it as I stepped inside. Our footsteps echoing in the empty room, Myth’s hand clutched in mine as we made our way down the four flights to the ground floor.

“You thought about baby names?” I asked, unable to curb the curiosity burning in me.

We paused at the exit, and the security guard at the desk hit the button to open the doors. Not everyone was allowed in after hours. We had to get permission first and explain why the hell we were here so late.

“I’ve never really thought of babies,” he answered honestly as we stepped outside. The cooler night air hit my skin, making me realize just how warm they kept it inside the hospital walls.

I wasn’t exactly shocked by his admission.

It wasn’t like he was out there talking about marriage and cooing over small children. His life wasn’t conventional. It was different, it was a little riskier, a little more dangerous, and some people were okay with living that themselves but weren’t about to have a wife and three kids and just expect that they’ll live it too.

Myth, though, I’d seen him with Brook, and Mase, and Lola.

It came so naturally to him to nurture.

He might do it in his own special way, but it was still an amazing piece of him.

  “You’re wondering why.”

  “A little,” I admitted. “Yeah.”

Myth clicked the button in his pocket, the SUV a few feet from us lighting up the night air. Our vehicle and the one Shotgun was driving were the only lonely cars in the entire parking lot. But then again, it was well after midnight by now. Visiting hours were technically over.

“I keep thinking about the ADHD,” he admitted, leaning back against the black SUV and spreading his legs. I stepped in between them, my hands reaching for his face. I was becoming addicted to this light beard he’d begun to grow since we arrived to L.A. Every time I brushed my hands over it, my pussy began to tingle, my body so vividly remembering just how those little bristles felt against the inside of my thighs. I could already feel it warming my body, but I needed to focus. I wanted to have this moment with him.

“What about it?” I asked, leaning into his body.

“It’s passed on through genes from your parents,” he explained, his voice sounding a little lost. “I know how I struggled with it as a kid, how I still struggle with it every day.”

I shook my head, understanding what he was trying to say, but it didn’t make any damn sense. “You figured it out, you took it and turned it into something fucking amazing. Not just a world title, but you made the gym, too.”

He huffed out a laugh, leaning his head back and looking up at the night sky while his thumbs brushed back and forth across my hips. “Yeah, for the most part, I’ve found a way to work through it, but it took me a hell of a long time to get to that point, and it doesn’t ever stop it from being there constantly. There have been times I’ve thought I was actually crazy, times I’ve struggled with just being me. What kind of father would it make me if I forced that onto someone I’m supposed to love?”

It made my heart hurt to hear him talk that way.

“I’m sure in your head that makes sense,” I reasoned, hoping he wasn’t about to tell me to go to hell. “But you’re being an idiot.”

He dipped his eyes, the lights from the hospital behind me reflecting in them and making them all the more ominous. “Did you just call me an idiot?”

  I sighed, rolling my eyes.

Of course, that’s all he’d heard.

Myth didn’t like to talk much about his family. I knew his dad was a jacked-up military officer who tried to keep Myth drugged as a kid. I knew his mom left his dad to protect her kids. His sister lived across the country, but he chats with her once a month. And apparently, his brother is one of the world’s singing sensations.

“Yeah, you went through hell because your dad was an asshole, he couldn’t accept that you were different.” His hands tightened on my hips, and his gaze darkened slightly. “You had to grow up with your punk-ass father. But your baby would grow up with you.”

The smile pulling at the corner of his mouth that he was clearly trying to fight had me taking a long, deep breath and leaning in, wrapping my arms around him and tucking my face into his neck. His arms came around me, pulling me in a little tighter, our bodies fitting together like he was the other puzzle piece I never knew I was missing.

“How’d you get so smart?” he whispered, pressing his lips to my forehead.

I wasn’t sure if that meant I’d changed his mind.

Or if he just wanted to let me know he wasn’t offended by my declarations.

  But it didn’t matter.

It wasn’t a conversation we needed to have right now, and that wouldn’t change the way I felt about him. I just hoped if anything, it made him think about himself as a little less broken and helpless and a little more the most experienced teacher a child with ADHD could ever have.

“Are you two going at it again!” The still, peaceful night air was abruptly disturbed by the sound of laughter and loud voices I knew were from the other part of our little party.

Myth’s soft hands moved quickly, reaching for my ass and squeezing tightly.

“Oh, baby! Oh!” I called over my shoulder at them.

A collective symphony of gagging sounds coming as a response.

Because we were a group of responsible adults.

  Apparently.

“Rip and Dakota are sticking around,” Shotgun announced when they got closer and unlocked his car. “Let’s head back to the
hotel.”

  “Can we get burgers?”

Shotgun paused, a smirk on his face as he looked out the corner of his eye at me. “Yeah. I could eat.”

  I grinned. “Cool.”

  MYTH

  Three Days Later

I leaned against the doorframe watching Laken rock Juliet in her arms and gush to Meyah about how beautiful she was.

The room was packed with women, you’d expect as much given that almost all of The Brothers by Blood and their old ladies from Alabama were here, most of Phoenix, and a handful from The Exiled Eight in Vegas.

The men, on the other hand, had been banished to the hospital’s cafeteria, waiting room, or hall.

  Shake included.

“Hey, Myth.” I stepped back into the hall seeing Wrench and Optimus from Alabama walking down the hall.

“Hey!” I let the door to Meyah’s room swing closed and held my hand out to Op first, shaking his hand and pulling him in with a hard pat on the back, following the same process with Wrench. “How you guys doing? How was the ride?”

“I’m getting too fucking old to do thirty-hour rides,” Op groaned, stretching his neck from side to side. “Even if we did split it up over two days, it was still one hell of a trip.”

“What’d you do with the kids?” I’d noticed no little ones were running around, and the club down there had plenty to spare, Optimus having three of his own, including twin boys, and I’d noticed a couple of their old ladies looking like they were hiding basketballs in their shirts.

Op started to laugh. “Man, I ain’t that stupid to do two days’ worth of riding and bring my toddlers. We have a team of nannies watching them.”

  I laughed. “A team.”

“That’s no joke,” Wrench added, nodding his head. “You got a few minutes to chat about some shit?” He held up a dark green folder, and I instantly knew what was inside.

Hopefully, some answers to a question that had been plaguing me all week.

“Yeah, for sure,” I agreed, waving for them to follow me. “There’s a room here that the nurses use to catch some sleep if they’re running double shifts. Dakota was just in there sleeping, and it’s empty now.” I shoved the door open, and the boys both followed me inside.
