“Mimi.” The kitten meows and I think that’s a ringing endorsement.

“Yeah, Mimi,” I say and pet her head.

  “That’s a good name.”

  “It is.”

Acknowledgements: It took me a long time to write this book, and I have no idea why. Maybe I was worried I couldn’t do Javi and Hazel’s story justice. I don’t know. But once I started, everything just flowed. I fell in love with Javi again and I had a great time writing their story. I hope you had as good a time reading it, or even better. Thanks go to my fabulous editor, Jen, my spectacular cover designer, Sarah Hansen, who came up with the butterfly for the cover that completely inspired me and tied everything in the story together, my publicist Jessica from InkSlinger PR, who, even thought she is expecting, still manages to work so hard for her authors. I debated a lot about writing this story, and I finally decided to do it for YOU. Yes, YOU. I had so many people come to me at signings, and sending me messages about how much you loved the first book. I couldn't ignore those. So thank you for your enthusiasm. Without it, this story might not have gotten told.
