His Summer Curves Page 3

by Beatrice Brae

“But you wanted the land for yourself in the beginning?” she asks.

“Yes, baby. I did. It’s a good deal, but there are other deals to be made in other parts of the world, so I was going to let this one go after I met you. I love you.”

“I love you, too, Ford,” she says. “But I’m not going to say yes to a man I met a month ago.”

“Fine, I can wait. But please say yes,” I beg.

“Yes, of course it’s yes. I love you too,” she whispers, and I stand up and take her into my arms.

“I love you, baby.” I kiss her sweet lips and dry her tears, feeling like a jerk for hurting her.

I slide the ring onto her finger, and she looks at it with wonder. “It’s so beautiful, Ford. But if you want to give me a wedding present, please find me an angel investor who can help me build the resort. I’ve thought about it a lot lately, and I really want to do it. I was going to ask you to be partners with me today. You know, before I found out it was you who wanted to buy the land.”

“I would love to be your partner, baby,” I say, and she frowns.

She kisses me, and I get the feeling she’s going to reject my proposal. “Thank you so much for the offer, Ford, but I think it’s not a good idea to mix my business with my personal life. I hope you understand.”

“Kali, as long as you marry me in a month’s time, I’ll be happy!” I retort.

“A month? You’re joking, right? Next year,” she says, trying to negotiate.

I narrow my eyes. “Two months,” I say. “And that is my final offer.”

Fine. “Four months, and I want to sign a prenup.”

I glare at her, and she taps her foot. “Fine. Four months, but no prenup.”

“You’re impossible, you know?” she says, exasperated but obviously happy.

“I know. That’s why you love me.”

  Epilogue

  Kali

“I can’t believe you’re getting married,” Lexi says. “You’re a beautiful bride, Kali, and I’m so happy for you.”

  “Aw, thanks, Lexi.”

The truth is, I still can’t believe I’m marrying Ford so soon after meeting him, but I love him so much, and I know we are right for each other. He has helped me find some investors for my resort and has been so supportive and understanding, even though he still grumbles that I didn’t want to take his money to help with the build.

I’m also a little sad because James is leaving the island. He’s always wanted to be a firefighter, and I’m happy that he’s following his dream, but I’m going to miss him. A lot. But I still have Lexi, and I’ve hired her to help me with my business since her company asked her to return to New York. She refused and they fired her. Their loss.

James sticks his head threw the doorway and whistles when he sees me. “Kali, you’re gorgeous. Ford is going to be speechless when he sees you.”

“Come in,” I say. “You’re very handsome in that tuxedo, James,” I compliment him. “I’m going to miss you,” I tell him and give him a hug.

My sister brings me my veil, and James and Lexi help her secure it to my head. I’m wearing a gorgeous wedding dress with tulle and gemstones sewn on the bodice and cascading to the skirt and a cathedral length veil.

My mom hands me my flower bouquet, and she tears up a little when she looks at me.

“Oh, honey,” she says. “I can’t believe my little girl is getting married. You’re a beautiful bride, sweetie, and I wish you all the happiness in the world.” She gives me an awkward hug because the veil is in the way, and they all exit the dressing room, leaving me alone for a moment. I know my dad is waiting for me in the hallway to walk me down the aisle, so I take a moment to calm myself.

I’m so excited to marry the man of my dreams, but it’s also a little scary. Ford is older than me by more than a decade—eleven years to be exact—and my parents were a little concerned at first. They also had some reservations because of his wealth, but he won them over in no time. Ford promised my parents we are going to make them grandparents in a year or two. I don’t want to rush into motherhood because I want to be the best mother I can be, so I’m going to wait until my resort is ready.

I exit the dressing room. My dad turns around and stares at me, speechless. “My little girl is a grown woman,” he says. “I remember the first time I ever saw you, honey. I didn’t know what true selfless love was until the doctor placed you into my arms after you were born. I love you so much, sweetie, but I know I’m walking you toward a life of happiness.”

He shakes his head. “That boy loves you so much. I know he’ll make you happy. And he promised me grandchildren, so I can’t ask for more. The money also helps,” he jokes and gives me a hug.

“Let’s do this,” he says, letting out a deep chuckle.

I can see how nervous Ford is as I walk toward him in the big church. I gently squeeze his hand when I reach him and feel him relaxing.

“What’s wrong?” I whisper to him.

His eyes go cloudy again. “Nothing. I love you so much, but I was nervous that you might change your mind.”

My heart skips a beat, and I know without a doubt that I’m doing the right thing by marring him.

The ceremony is beautiful, and both sets of parents cry happy tears in the church, and then they all hit the bar as soon as possible at the reception. We mingle with our guests after the first dance, but the whole thing is over too soon. With James moving away to become a firefighter and me moving to New York for part of the year to be near Ford’s business, it feels like the end of an era—but also the beginning of another one. Before long, we are back in our suite, leaving behind our guests for a bit of privacy.

“I can’t wait to take you to bed,” Ford whispers in my ear while we slow dance in our room. We are both a little tipsy and drunk on happiness. He kisses me, and I become instantly aroused.

“Take me to bed, Ford,” I demand, and he chuckles.

  “You’re a bossy little wife, aren’t you?”

“Please, husband, take me to bed,” I joke, but I keep my tone soft and needy.

“Don’t worry, wife, I plan on making love to you all night long. You’ll have so many orgasms, you won’t be able to walk,” he purrs against my neck.

“Isn’t it what you usually do anyway?” I tease.

He growls and slides his hand around my waist, pulling me toward the bed. “That’s true,” he says and nuzzles my neck, making me wet.

I bite back a groan when he pinches my nipple through the fabric of my wedding dress. His frosty blue eyes sparkle with lust and love. I help him undress and caress his cock once his boxers hit the floor.

“Fuck, baby, it feels so good. Don’t you dare stop,” he orders on a tortured groan.

I kneel on the floor in front of him, still wearing my wedding dress, and take his cock into my mouth.

“You’re going to kill me,” he says, and I smile and capture him between my lips again.

I adored him with my mouth and tongue for a few more minutes until he stops me.

“Get up, please Kali, and get on the bed.”

I do his bidding and lay on the bed. He fumbles with my wedding dress skirts until he finds my wet and inviting pussy. I spread my legs to help him, and I love the urgency of his moves. It’s like he can’t wait to be inside of me.

I draw him down for another searing kiss and open myself to him. He rubs his cock against my pussy, teasing my entrance and sending jolts of pleasure all over my body.

“I need you inside me, Ford,” I plead, and he’s more than happy to oblige. He slides his shaft into my wet folds, ravishing me with his mouth, his tongue invading my mouth with a wet heat. His erection fills me, stripping away everything but my need for him.

He fills me completely and begins to move inside me, and I lock my legs around him, holding him captive.

My wetness receives him, and my hips rise up to meet his, his strokes slow, sure, and possessive. “You are mine,” he says. “And I am yours.
Forever.”

Delicious friction penetrates every nerve in my body, and fueled to new heights, we come as one. We gasp and groan, giving into mutual pleasure.

It takes a while to come back to earth. We’ve made love countless times but never with so much love and desperation.

Ford nuzzles my arm, and I chuckle. “You were right. I don’t think I’ll be able to walk tomorrow.”

“Yeah, me neither, baby. I’m so glad I found you, Kali. You complete me.”

“You too, Ford. I love you.”
