My Smalltown C.E.O. Scrooge: A Festive Romantic Comedy Page 21

by Harmony Knight

“Oh my God,” I say, looking at her.

She has tears in her eyes and a smile growing steadily on her lips.

“Really?” I ask, my heart speeding up in my chest.

  She nods again.

Fireworks of joy explode inside me and I grab her up and spin her around, laughing.

“What are you laughing for, Daddy?” asks Lottie. She and Emma have returned from their rooms and they’re standing in the doorway, looking at us like we’ve gone mad.

I put Allie down, and she takes my hand and calls the girls over to the table.

“Let’s sit down,” she says, lacing her fingers between mine. “We have something to tell you.”
